Girls' Bathroom Girls Only!! (That includes you Misters Potter and Weasley!) A funny inscription etched on the door with a potions knife reminds us all of the great deeds Harry Potter and his friends performed during their time at Hogwarts. OOC Note: All SS Board Rules and School Rules apply in this bathroom. Violators may be punished both OOC and IC should they break any of those rules. |
Zhenya felt something weird in her eye! She needed to have a look at it. Maybe it was a bug? It felt big enough! She walked into Myrtle's bathroom and looked into the mirror, pulling her eyelid into different directions, but nothing. She rinsed it out with water and hoped whatever was in there would come out. |

"Third year so far is really good! I want to be Fourth year though because then I can join in with all the exciting stuff in classes." There was the Herbology activity and the Charms activity! She just wanted to do the more dangerous stuff instead of the more... boring stuff. |
HTF - Post Two Indy had thought about the place she was going to place her message. She wanted it to be in place where lots of people would see, but she didn't want to put in exactly into the corridor. If she put it there people would walk all over it. And that would not be fun at all. Indy had then thought the girls bathroom would be fine. The girls would see it, and she was sure they wouldn't want to like step all over the pretty flowers. So this was why Indy was now making her way into the girls bathroom, with her little box of pretty flowers. She sat herself down on the floor, pulling her flower presser out of her bag. This was going to be fun. She hadn't pressed any of her flowers for ages. Opening the presser, she picked up the first flower, a pretty pink one and placed it into the presser, before pressing. She continued this for about 20 minutes, being careful with each flower. She really did not want to like break any of the flowers. They were really pretty. And now she'd be able to make a pretty message. Okay. She placed the flowers carefully in a little pile. There were quite a few photos. So it was good. She'd be able to make a pretty message, and make it with funky with the little bits of leaves that she had brought. Now she just needed to work out how she was going to put the message out. |
It was the time to admire herself and look at how pretty she looked in the mirror for Lea Carter. So, carrying her school bag, she walked into the Girls' Bathroom and directly walked to the nearest mirror. After adjusting the bag hung down her shoulder, she looked at herself in the mirrow and a wide smile appeared on her face. She was very beautiful, as usual. She, then, started to check her long dark brown hair, almost black, and tried to decide if she should comb it a bit more. Hmm |
Htf - 3 Okay. Indiana was totally ready to like make her pretty message now. Sorted. With a big smile on her face, Indy carefully arranged her pressed flowers into the message carefully. She wanted people to be able to read it, but then she wanted it to be nice and pretty too. Flowers were really pretty anyway, so it would look really pretty anyway. Indy smiled, placing the flowers carefully into the patterns of the each letter. She wasn't using the leaves yet though, because she was going to use those to decorate around the edge. The little ravenclaw hummed to herself as she placed the flowers down. Indy was trying to keep the colours together, so they they looked pretty. So she kept all the nice pinky, red colours today, she used those for the vowels. And the other letters she made a bluey green color. It looked really pretty. Indy smiled, as she moved onto the end bit of the letters. It was looking good. She was feeling pretty proud of it. Hmm. Perfect. Okay. So the lettering was done now. And she had a few flowers left. She could use them to decorate. Carefully she placed a few orangey flowers around the letters, putting little leaves by them so they looked like proper flowers. Aww. It looked so pretty. Indy beamed, stepping back and looking at all of her work. Aww. Perfect. It was so pretty. Indy was so proud. And now people would like herbology? right. Yes. Woot. |
Vine <3 Captain Kimalia had been working to perfect her new look.. Well, so long as she removed those rollers. The great Captain Lola Jones rocked them first on the Quidditch field back in the day, so of course whatever she could do Kimalia could do just as well.. Just not on the field yet. These rollers were just serving as a first step before her experimenting.. Digging in her purse she set it by the sink before moving in closer watching her reflection as she started putting on her muggle lipstick. Stepping back to check the progress. So far so good! |
Quote:
Erin opened the door, only using her two forefingers. And then, she saw someone who's got her style overboard. She's weird and that makes her unique and ..."Aaaaaaaaaaaaaahhh!" It was Kimalia! Yes, it was her. It feels like she missed her forever. She was heading to her side, Erin needs a hug from her. |
Quote:
Suddenly a loud scream occurred making her jump a little. "Woah, what was tha-" Kimalia blinked, it was Erin, her little prodigy. "Erin!" Kimalia beamed hugging her immediately. Now she remembered her current look, briefly embarrassed since you know it was meant to be a surprise. "Er, how do I look?" Kimalia posed to "fluff" her rollers up and down.. Perhaps some explaining was in order on her appearance. "I'm working on the curls here the old muggle way.." The way her brother's fiance showed and did for her during the summer. |
Quote:
"You look..." Erin examined Kimalia from her foot up to her head which looks like a mess. "...like a mess?" Erin said honestly. She's still on her rollers after all. "But you look gorgeous...once your curls had been revealed," said Erin and then pointing at Kimalia's hair, "...and those were gone." Seeing Kimalia that way, she realized, she hadn't really tried perming her hair. Would curls suit her? |
Quote:
"Say, would you like me to try styling your hair?" Already fetching in her purse again, she had a note somewhere that lists spells for the hair.. She just never tried it yet. "Rollers or no rollers?" It could be fun to try. |
Quote:
"Have you ever tried that spell?" nervously asked Erin. She needed assurance of the quality of the outcome and the ability of the witch. "Try it with yourself first," Erin insisted. But she's already got her rollers on and her hair's been curled. Where on Merlin will she ever try that on? |
Quote:
Holding the small note out. "There, I wrote down the spell for changing the length, curling, and coloring of the hair." Kimalia smoothed the paper out to make sure it was legible. Try it on herself? Aw, Erin needed to develop some faith into Kimalia's magic, "Trust me, I'm a fifth year, this is my kind of stuff." Hmm.. let's see.. She began unrolling out one of her rollers from her hair to reveal a very curly strand of hair.. Maybe unrolling more will do. "If you insist, I'll straighten it first." Watch and learn. She unrolled 3 more setting them inside her purse before taking her wand. Ahem, clearing throat. Yep. Now she was ready. She took the curliest of the strands she unleashed, reading the instruction briefly, Only use on one change at a time. Okay, got it. She held the bottom end of the curly strand so her wand could touch it, concentration on what she wanted done. Mm, straighten it. Thinking of only that she said, "Felintas." Not paying any attention to the change, only of the thought of straightening it as the curl began to loosen before finally falling flat. There! "See, easy!" She was quite impressed herself on her first time doing it.. not that she would admit of course. Kimalia began taking out the rest of her rollers, they have been on long enough anyway. "I have another spell written for dying hair.. if you want to see it that is." Why not, maybe she could dye some parts of hers naturally black again. |
Oichi really had no idea what she was gonna do for the herbology extracarricular activity. She had searched the entire castle for a plant growing in doors. She turned the doors to the girls bathroom which was the place she had yet to look. Her eyes lit up when she saw a pink lily sitting on the window sill. She walked over to the lily and said, "You're a tenatious little thing, growing all on you're own. You are also quite pretty and you brighten up the room". |
Quote:
Erin listened intently to Kimalia's explanation and demonstration. Erin followed as Kimalia touch the bottom end of the curly strand of her hair. Erin touch hers as well even if she doesn't have any curls yet. Erin took a hold of her wand and hear the Slytherin say the magic word, Felintas! She barely remembers that spell. Barely. ...and FINALLY! The curliest strands of Kimalia's hair revealed a smooth straight hair which came from nowhere. Magic is beautiful. And now, it's Erin? "You'll try it on me?" "Why are you doing this anyways?" Is Kimalia making herself presentable to a guy? |
Quote:
Ohh.. Kimalia went a little red. "Well, I do have a wedding to attend during the break.." Adding quickly, "Not for me, my brother and his fiance." Well to look nice, and for her date. "Just a little practice and how I want to look." Hehe. |
Quote:
"Can you, like do, semi-permed strands? Just the tip of my hair." Erin took a hold of the bottom end of her straight hair to show Kimalia where and how high. Wedding? "That's cool! So, are you part of the ceremony?" asked Erin instantly. She'd been to a wedding once, her Aunt Molly's and it was a fairy tale wedding-themed with Disney's princes and princesses. "I mean if you're a maid-of-honor or bridesmaid?" |
Quote:
"Coming riiight up." Kimalia said. Taking each strand, carefully she would concentrate on what Erin wanted, saying "Felintas" for each strand as she wanted. In between she had time to talk, "Well, I'm just going to be a bridesmaid, she's having one of her old friends be the maid-of-honor." She didn't mind that really, it was too much work for Kimalia to be worrying about being a maid-of-honor anyways.. "So now Erin, how's everything going for you?" Sure she was only in her third year, but you never know! She could be dating someone, or even brewing something to help take over the world. And if so, well, that's something Kimalia wouldn't dare miss out on. |
Quote:
And about the maid-of-honor thing. "Well I think, that's always how it goes. The bride gets to pick the maid-of-honor and the groom will have to settle the best man." Right? That was it. Least, she learned that from a lifetime of being a flower girl which clearly showed that she was adorable and everyone loved her. They were facing the huge mirror and she would see her hair bulging a little because of those curly strands from the tip. "We're almost alike Kimalia!" Erin squealed. And then Kimalia asked about Erin. Sweet. Now, catching up time. "I..." she let out a sigh, though she really wanted to tell someone about this preoccupation in her mind lately. "...nothing much." |
Sarah looked up at the sign above the door, and chuckeled at the thing someone had inscribed on it. She entered the room and looked around. There was a couple of girls preening themselves in the mirror. Ugh.. Sarah hoped she would never be like that. |
Quote:
Puffles was always on he's own little adventures and for some odd reason he decided to venture to the girls bathrooms, no one would know he wasn't supposed to be there, After all he was a pygmy puff and most people couldn't tell the difference between him and a female pygmy puff anyways. This would be something only males like him could do. So off he went, not even making sure Ness was behind him. He knew she was, she was such an over protective owner and that bugged the indigo ball of fluff at times. Deep down, he knew that she was only like that because she cared about him. Once inside the bathroom the Puff ball looked around and he's eyes stopped when they saw a young girl that seemed to be in her first year. She looked friendly and sweet, surely she would give him a nice stroke right? He sure hoped so. The pygmy puff walked over, with he's two little feet, and then nibbled softly on the girls shoe to get her attention. Meanwhile, Ness was a little behind Puffles, but her attention was not on the actual ball of fluff, instead she was looking around the bathroom not even aware of what her pet was doing. |

Quote:
Awww! Yay! This girl was sweet, Puffles happily let the young girl pick him up. He was even happier though when the girl began to stroke him. He liked it when these human people did that, it felt nice and it ,made him feel all loved too. "MEEEEP!"The Indigo puff ball made a small squeak sound showing that he approved of the stroking. What Puffles didn't like about this girl though, was that he could feel she was a little tense and nervous. He didn't understand her? Was she scared or something? He wouldn't harm her, not unless he felt the need to. Surely this girl was clever enough to know that. Silly humans. At least this one stroked him nicely. Still looking around the bathroom, Ness heard her little baby boy squeak, and it was only then she noticed he wasn't on the floor anymore. Her first instinct was to panic, but she didn't have much time to, as almost immediately she saw Puffles in a little girl's arms. Her little boy seemed okay there. The red head walked over to the girl, whom had her, Puffles. "He seems to like you. she said unsure if Puffles really did like this girl, but it seemed like he did by the way he was acting towwards her. Usually the ball of fluff would bite or hurt people and things he didn't like."If you don't want to hold him, I'll take him." she said sort of hoping the girl wasn't one of those people that were petrified of these puff balls. This was what Ness couldn't stand about, Puffles. He always seemed to be running off to bother people and do all sorts of annoying things with out her permission. The Huffie sighed just a tiny bit. "He always does this, I'm sorry if he bothered you." The red head said feeling a little bad about this whole thing. |

Renesmee smiled. "Yeah, it seems like it." she said watching her puff ball again. A farm? Hmmm...seemed interesting. "Oh, alright, then I don't mind either." The red head bit her lip, begining to be just a little curious now. If this girl's parents had a farm, where did she come from? Most probably somewhere from the country. Yeah, had to be. That was so sweet, how the firstie didn't want Ness to feel bad. The fourth year smiled to reasure the girl, that it was alright. Hmmm..Sarah, that was quite a lovely name and if Ness remembered correctly it was her mothers second name. "I'm Renesmee, Renesmee Dixon." The girl then extended her hand so they could shake. "It's lovely to meet you Sarah, You can call me Nessie or Ness, if you'd like?" Everyone did, even Lucca that thought her name was really Vannessa, it was kinda funny. |

Well still the compliment was really sweet, and it made Nessie smile. "Yeah, I usually play chaser." She had played beater too, but she found being chaser was better. "Thank you, that really means a lot. I think I need to improve my flying skills a little." she said wondering when she'd get a chance to do that. Um...that was a bit of an odd question. The young Dixon blinked. Wasn't that a bit of a personal question? It sort of was, but Ness didn't really mind. The girl was clearly just trying to make some conversation, thats all right? So the Hufflepuff nodded at the firstie. "Yep, I've got two siblings, a sister, her name is Juliet and she's a year younger than me and then I have a brother, Ethan he'll be two next month." That was scary to think, her little Ethypoo was growing up so fast, to her it felt like only yesterday he was born. "How about you?" she asked, not sure of anything else to say. |
Quote:
"Juliet, that is such a nice name. It must be cool to have a baby brother, my baby brother ain't so small anymore - he is coming to Hogwarts next year. Yet I have 6 elder brothers, the eldest Charlie being 22, and one younger brother, who I told you about - James. I am kind of like the rose among the thorns. I would really like an older sister, yet my brothers are more fun then some older girls" she said, thinking of the girls who preen themselves all day in front of the mirror. "From where do you hail?" asked Sarah of her accent. |
for Lili <3 Louisa could barely feel her way up to the second floor where there was... water. To wash her face, pat down her hair and wipe off the stupid tears that wouldn't stop for the past hour. She pushed open the door feebly. If she had her voice, she'd be weeping loudly and probably wailing in an ugly voice. Being the case, her mouth moved mutely and it made her even madder when she looked at the mirror and saw the scary red-blotched face staring back at her. She screamed, her neck growing red as she did so but not a sound. The silence was driving her crazy and pressing down on her so she just opened all the tabs. Gushing water was a lifesaver. |
Laaaaila<3 Quote:
She washed her hands, taking her sweet time. But it wasn't until after she had finished that she noticed the girl's face. There was something very wrong. Her eyes were red and puffy and Brooke's heart almost sunk. Poor girl. "You alright?" she reached out to touch the girl's shoulder. |
Quote:
Ohh.. now she saw her. The Ravenclaw whimpered mutely, her lower lip quivering and she shook her head vigorously, letting the girl's hand rest on her shoulder. Usually she would've shook the hand off, or cringed away from any sympathetic gesture but this time she had enough of her strong and stubborn attitude. Without bothering to wipe her face, Louisa opened her mouth and made an attempt to say something to show the girl that she couldn't talk. Maybe she'd be able to lift the charm Ada- he put on her. .... unless she thought Louisa was naturally mute. D: |
Quote:
She eyed the girl again, who seemed to be.. silent. Still. Maybe she didn't want to talk about it? Or.. just couldn't think about how to put it all into words? Though.. something should have come out by now. Right? She adjusted her purse's straps on her shoulder, mind racing with possibilities of what could have happened. "What's wrong?" she tried again. "You could tell me, i mean- We barely know eachother and all so- it might be nice to get a different sort of perspective?" Right? Now come on, out with it. Or.. Maybe she couldn't say it out loud because she didn't want to talk through tears? Maybe? HM. PUZZLE. |
Quote:
IF SHE COULD TALK. The Ravenclaw sighed, silently, and tried to talk again but nothing came out. She then looked around her, trying to come up with something to save the situation. SOAP! Her hand grabbed one and scribbled on the mirror with shaking hand "SILENCIO", and then pointed at her throat. GEDDIT? |
Quote:
"Someone put a silencing charm on you?" Wow, that really sucks. "Uhm. Want me to try and fix it?" Who wouldn't? Without waiting for the response she wasn't going to get, Brooke pulled out her wand from her holster and put a finger to her chin in thought. "An undoing charm should work, right?" So long as the girl hadn't had any other spells put on her too. But.. Brooke was pretty sure she didn't. Mostly because not being able to talk or many any noise was torture enough. "Let's try this then," she said softly "Explico," she said, swishing her wand slightly. Fingers crossed! |
Quote:
Sniffing and swallowing, she slid down to sit on the floor by the sink.......that was pouring water down the floor by now. Only Louisa didn't care about getting wet. "Thankyou," she breathed out between her hiccups and sniffs. |
Quote:
Yep..Juliet's name was rather nice, but Ness had to admit she liked Julie or Julies better when it came to speaking to her little blonde sis. "Yeah, thanks." As for having a baby brother. It was beyond awesome...yet it did have it's few bad qualities at times. "Well I really do love my brother, so I guess it is." she nodded some more. SIX? Renesmee blinked. Geez! That was reallty A LOT! How did this girl survive having so many brothers? "Merlin! That's a really big family then. To be honest, I prefer brothers to sisters..sisters can be well a little nasty at times." They really could especially when you fought over silly things such as clothes and make up. Meh..sisters could be such missions. "I'd say you lucky you don't have to deal with any sisters." Lucky she was indeed. A little bit of odd english to use. Hail...hmm..good thing Ness understood. "Well I live in England now, but I used to live in South Africa and I was born in France." Gosh it even confused Ness at times, though it wasn't her fault her parents had travelled a lot. "How about you?" she asked being a little curious too. |
"Well I can't say I can emphasize with you as I have no sisters to find their faults. Yet brothers, especially older brothers are cool. True - they used to beat me up and stuff, but as they get older they get reallly protective and funny. I wish I had a sister, at night back home, I lie in bed alone, meanwhile in the next room I hear my brothers having a conversation in the boys' room. Maybe my Mom will have a girl. I would really like a sister, yet my mom is approaching 40, so I don't know if that is possible. Yet maybe I will have a neice. My eldest brother just got engaged and he is getting married soon, so maybe having aneice won't be so far off." Sarah said. Dreams.... they make life much easier to live with. Her arm tiring, she moved the Pygmy Puff to her other arm. "A Frenchi.. bonjour, " she said, that was French wasn't? "I love the French accent, so posh. South Africa... read about it before, nearly 200 years since its Apartheid ended. I have been there once, one of my grandmother's was a born and bred Joburger, she talks fondly of it.. Jacaranda lined streets, gorgeous sunsets, friendly people, going to the coast in December -Durban, Plettenburg Bay and Cape Town. For snow Drankensburg is 'lekker'. We did the Garden Route when we were there. My family lives in Britain now though, some live in America and South Africa too. I prefer South Africa over England, better weather = people in better moods. I wonder why my family lives here anyways, besides Hogwarts.Otherwise I have really been out of this country, have you?" she asked. |
Elliot entered the bathroom cautiously. Of course, she really wanted to go into that Room of Requirement, but she REALLY was having trouble finding it...although, she was more distracted today than usual... Elliot, who today turned fourteen, was extremely upset. The blonde sniffled a bit, refusing to cry, as she stumbled into the bathroom. of course, one look in the mirror told her that she wasn't keeping her emotions as in check as usual. her normally stoic, blue eyes were red and puffy underneath...she rubbed them a bit, but this made them look even worse. She thought about the package she had received from Dani and Sam...and then it all came. She began to sniffle more, and eventually a few tears streamed down her face. She buried her head in her hands, and allowed herself a few minutes for 'me' time, as her mother would call it. But her mother hadn't even sent anything, not even an acknowledgement... |

It was the last time Gwen would try to paint with ink. Since she had been hanging around the second floor corridor as she tried to create that drawing, the closest place where she could go and get rid of the ink was the girl’s bathroom. Pushing the door with the elbow, the fourth year entered the bathroom quickly and headed over with hasty steps towards a sink. That’s it. She was never ever trying to do something like this again. She had been thinking about using a spell to help her clean up the ink, but that would imply using the wand, which would get full of ink. Wasn’t there someone around who could help her? Gwen’s eyes scanned the place in a hurry. ‘You there’, she tried to draw the girl’s attention. Over here! ‘Do you mind helping me with…?’, she started saying but it was only a few moments later she realized the girl was probably not in a good mood. Errr. Without even mumbling a ‘never mind’, the fourth year carefully took her wand and managed to cast the cleaning spell with a loud ‘scourgify’. There. All done, the fourth year thought and was ready to leave. Before exiting the bathroom, she glimpsed again at the girl.‘Are you alright?’, the Ravenclaw heard herself asking. It was probably a bad decision she had taken, meddling with someone else’s problems but who knows? Maybe she could help the girl…? |
Quote:
THe girl was going..YAY. Elliot could be miserable in peace no... but no. Was Elliot all right? NO. The third year turned her head towards her, frowning, her eyes still red and puffy despite her best efforts. "I'm fine..." she lied through clenched teeth. "It's just my birthday, of course my father forgets. No, that's completely fine...everything is A-okay here..." she felt anger bubbling within her. With her father, with this girl with EVERYONE. With Darius...her new brother. A baby that couldn't talk was the reason for EVERYTHING. She suddenly felt a few tears on her face, and she ran to one of the stalls and locked it. No one could see her cry! NO ONE. Not even a complete stranger...she heard herself sniffle, then begin to sob...this was so unlike her! SO UNLIKE HER. And she hated it...hated crying, hated her family...hated even herself for a moment. |
Quote:
‘I… I’m sorry to hear that’, Gwendolyn said, not knowing what exactly she should have replied. She was probably the worst person around Hogwarts to be sentimental and encourage other people and yada yada yada. Come on, think…, the fourth year told herself as she reached for her bag. Got it! She took out a box from the bag and opened it quickly, taking out one of the muffins she had baked earlier that day. With a friend’s help, of course. She herself would have probably burnt down the kitchen if her friend hadn’t come along. With a simple spell, the fourth year arranged a small candle on top of the muffin, lighting it as she looked back at the girl. She couldn’t believe she was actually doing this. Being nice to a total stranger. Perhaps someone who would eventually hate her. Anyway, Gwen was taking a shot. ‘Happy Birthday’ And cheer up, lass. And no. She was not going to sing Happy Birthday now. ‘Hope you will work things out’, the fourth said curtly, and with that, she reached the birthday muffin to the girl. She felt sorry for the girl, but since the other student was probably going to want to jinx her if she hanged around there any longer, Gwendolyn started walking away. Yes. She was heading towards the door. There was nothing else she could do here. |
Quote:
That wouldn't be polite. Instead, she wiped her eyes on the sleeve of her robe, and looked in the mirror. She still looked a wreck, but she had made herself stop now. She saw movement from the corner of her eye, and looked at the girl strangely. Like, why was she still here? Couldn't she see that Elliot wanted her privacy? She saw the girl pull something from her bag...a muffin. Elliot still glared at the girl in confusion... then she put the candle on top, and handed it to Elliot. And the blonde now understood. This fellow 'claw was being nice. She lit the candle. Elliot's features changed completely. Her face twisted into a rare, genuine smile, not the smirk she usually reserved, and her eyes lit up. She felt tears well up in her eyes-oh no, not agaaaain- and choked back anymore. "T-thanks..." she said softly. She closed her eyes, made a wish...I wish that Father won't forget me. Ever. Not ever again... and she opened her eyes and blew out her candle. She was still smiling widely. But the girl was almost to the door. Elliot raced to her, and touched her shoulder. "Hey, wait! I don't even know your name! T-that's the nicest someone has ever been to me..." yeah, usually Elliot didn't make good first impressions. A single tear fell down her cheek. "Thanks." |
Quote:
Truth be told, Gwendolyn was still a bit surprised of herself. Normally she was great at making the worst first impressions… and now what? She had actually been nice to the girl. Even though her efforts might have been completely useless, the fourth year decided not to hang around there for much longer and try talking to the girl. No way. Her job there was done. As she made a few steps towards the door, the Ravenclaw could hear a voice behind her saying a ‘thanks’. She turned her head, but only responded with a small smirk. Meh. What else could she have done? Could she go now? Gwen stopped herself as she heard the girl telling her to wait. ‘Hmm?’, the fourth year mused as she drew her attention back to the place where the girl was sitting. ‘Gwen’, the fourth year said curtly. ‘And you are…?’ She had no idea who this girl was, or anything else about her. Mehh. But what was the girl saying? It was the nicest anyone has ever been to her? …….................... Clearly people hadn’t been that nice to this girl. Or else Gwen couldn’t have topped everyone. Even that thought made her want to roll her eyes. But she stopped herself. Why? Gwen had no idea. ‘You are welcome’, the fourth year said as she looked back at the girl, and it was only a moment later Gwen realized she was still crying. What to do? What to say? Gwendolyn had no idea. She was not the person to get sentimental… So not. 'I believe I've seen you around before', she went on talking. Perhaps the best way to help the girl was to distract her from all the drama... or whatever the problem was. 'What house are you in?' |
Quote:
The blonde stared intently at the girl. Nice. But Elliot could tell there were more layers to this one. Interesting.. Elliot nodded. This girl did indeed look quite familiar. "Yeah, I have definitely seen you in my classes. And in the common room..."I'm in Ravenclaw...with...you..." she tilted her head to the side, curiously. Obviously this girl wasn't that familiar with Elliot. And she couldn't see that Elliot's robe lining was blue...OR the Ravenclaw badge? Weren't Ravenclaws supposed to be...intelligent? |
Quote:
She made another step towards the door, but kept listening to what Elliot said. So she was a Ravenclaw. ‘Right’, the fourth year mumbled, and wished she hadn’t said anything. Now it was too late. ‘Of course…’, she mused, and tried not to look coldly at the girl. She disliked the fact that she couldn’t figure out who this person was, and the look Elliot gave her didn’t make Gwen feel any better. Hmph. Now she could go away. She was not in the mood to hang around there any longer. And she wasn’t going to find an excuse for leaving either. Elliot would probably appreciate some peace and quiet, so Gwen headed towards the door as she took the sketchbook out of her bag. She made a plan to go drawing somewhere. Like... that place with the suits of armour, she told herself. ‘So… I guess I’ll see you around…’, the fourth year added as she glimpsed back at the girl. Enough said. |
Quote:
But she supposed that day would have to be another day. "Yes, I probably shall," she replied softly, turning back to the mirror. She hadn't taken a bite of the muffin, yet. As Elliot looked in the mirror, she saw Gwen at the door, and she sighed. she picked up the muffin, took a bite from it, and smiled softly to herself. It was good, even though she disliked sweets. It was good. Oh, Elliot could hold a grudge for a looong time. Until vengeance was sought. But a nice gesture...Elliot didn't forget. And she wouldn't. |
Laura knew that it was Sophie's birthday and that there was a party going on in the kitchen for her, she really wanted to go and see her but well she didn't want to be seen at the minute, she had left the dungeon and gone straight past where her friends where, she was hoping no one had seen her go past otherwise Sophie might be hurt by her not saying hello but well she didn't want them to know what they had done to her, she sat down leaning against the wall she was really upset about the whole experience. |
Quote:
But wait...she looked REALLY upset. And messy, too. Frown. "Laura?" She said quietly, approaching her friend. "Are you alright? What are you doing in here?" |

Laura quickly hid her hands up her sleeves, she didn't want Ella to see that they were really red from where her right hand had been chained to her waist and she just hoped that Ella didn't see her feet were red too from being chained together, and then her hair was totally ruined, there was slime everwhere in it, but she wasn't going to admit anything was wrong. "I'm fi...fin...fine." Laura gave her a weak smile before she started crying. "Aren't you suppost to be at Sophie's Party, will you tell her I'm sorry but I want to be on my own at the minute." Laura didn't feel like a Party after being tortured. |
Quote:
She was crying! Laura was crying. Ella didn't like this at all. She also didn't buy that her friend was fine. Not for a minute. "Laura, you're not fine." So she could stop trying to convince her friend now, yeah? "What happened? What's wrong?" Cause now Ella was quite concerned about her friend, and about her friend's beautiful hair. Merlin's beard! WHAT was in it anyway? "Yeah, I was on my way to the kitchens but had to make a stop." Ella said with a nod towards the toilets. Frown. Wait, so Laura wasn't going to come? That just wasn't acceptable. Doing a little dance |
Quote:
Laura slowly started to speak after making sure she had stopped crying. "The chained my feet together and then my right hand to my waist so all I could use was my left hand and a baby toothbrush to clean an entire wall of slime, which at first they made me sit under, so it went in my hair." and then Ella wanted her to go to Sophie's party. "I don't want to go, just tell her I'm really sorry but well something happened, like say I had an important letter or something." It wasn't entirely false, something had happened, her hair was RUINED beyond repair. |
Quote:
Wait. She still wasn't going to come? Frown. "Laura...I'm not going to lie to Sophie. She's one of our best friends." Ella wouldn't dreaming of lying to either of the girls. "Laura, I'll help you with your hair. We'll...." The small blonde wasn't a hair dresser or anything but she knew there had to be some kind of solution. "Oh! We can wash it in the sink and then...well we can use the scouring charm!" BEAM. "That can be used on humans!" So there would be NO skipping the party. |
Quote:
Laura looked at her friend and sighed. "Your not telling me the truth are you." Laura said looking into her friends eyes. "I can take it, my hair is ruined and there is no way to save it." Laura was sure that would be the case, seriously the detention she had just recieved was worse that what happen to spies, she was sure of that. Laura looked at her friend. "Okay I'll go to Sophie's party, if we can get my hair sorted out, I don't want to go looking like this." No she didn't Sophie and everyone would make fun of her hair. "Will you help me Ella?" Laura went over to the sink and turned the tap on. "I can't do the back of my hair, can you do it?" Laura hoped Ella would say yes. |
Quote:
The second year shook her head. "No, I'm not lying. It could be worse, Laura...and it's definitely not ruined. We just need to rinse it." So her friend needed to stop worrying, yeah? Ells would never make her walk around with a slimy head. "Yeah, course I'll help you sort out your hair." Ella assure Laura, happy she had decided to attend the party after all. "Sure." And the second year followed her friend to the sink, rolling up her sleeves. "Alright, bend so your head is under the faucet and I'll help rinse your hair, okay?" Yup, just call Ells 'the hair dresser' from now on. |
Quote:
Laura did what Ella told her too, she put her head under the faucet and whilst doing that she hadn't realised a note had fallen out of her pocket. SPOILER!!: note |
Quote:
Ella began rinsing Laura's hair, using her hands to get all the slime out and allowing the water to rinse away the parts that were really covered in the stuff. "Laura...this really isn't that bad after all. I don't think it'll take too long to-" And just then the second year noticed the piece of...letter, was it? Lying on the floor. "Hey, I think you dropped a piece of paper or something." |
Quote:
Laura smiled as she stood as still as she could whilst Ella rinsed her hair out, but then Ella said something about a letter or something. "Oh it's nothing you can read it if you want." Laura hadn't realised it was her letter from her grandad or she wouldn't have let Ella read it, she thought it was just some work or something she had stuffed in her pocket. |
Quote:
Huh. It was nothing? "Alright, if you insist. Just keep your head under the faucet, yeah? Let the water rinse the rest of the slime from your hair." While Laura was doing this, Ella wiped her hands on her pants and reached down, picking up the letter. Woah! Whoever this Atkinson person was, he was REALLY mean. And PSH! What was with the Hufflepuff hating, anyway? Ella was really quite annoyed by that, and by the fact that the man had been so RUDE to her bestie in the letter. "Laura, who the heck is Mr. Atkinson?!" |
Quote:
Laura looked at Ella and did what she was told and was trying to stay still but she could feel the slime moving around and it was starting to tickle her a bit but then Ella spoke. O_________________________________________O She hadn't ever told her bestie of her family life had she, but well she could hardly lie now, why hadn't she checked to see what had fallen out of her pocket, but when had she put it in there, well she can't remember, oh yeah after finding out about it when it came at the hufflepuff house table. "Oh he's no one just my Grandfather." Laura said truthfully. "He like his whole family including my dad and my sister have been sorted into Ravenclaw." Laura waited to see what Ella would say. |
Quote:
Ella turned off the faucet as she waited for Laura to answer her question, squeezing the excess water out of her friend's hair. Actually, it looked A LOT better. There was no slime left that she could see. She frowned slightly when her friend finally did speak. "He's your GRANDFATHER?" Blink.Blink. "Oh, you're all set in the sink. You can stand up, now." And she backed up, not wanting to get splashed with water. "Laura...what he wrote was...really mean. Does he always talk to you that way?" Frown. |
Quote:
"I am annoying." Laura sighed as she gave Ella a little shove back. "I've ruined yours and Sophie's first two years at Hogwarts, i'm actually shocked you are still my bestie, but i'm not complaining you both are the two best bestie's in the world, and I promise I'll try and be a better bestie from now on." Laura said truthfully. Laura smiled as she looked in the mirror her hair was great. "Thanks Ella this is awesome." Laura quickly dried her hair using the drying spell then she gave her bestie a hug. Laura looked into the mirror and then decided she had better tell Ella the story. "Well it started when I was sorted into Hufflepuff, I sort of let the family down everyone else had been in ravenclaw even my mother who is a muggle but came here was in Ravenclaw, my dad's family have been in Ravenclaw for well since forever." Laura sighed. "So you see when they found out I was in Hufflepuff he was annoyed called me thick." Laura then looked at Ella. "And when I told him I have made friends with you and Sophie and you two were my bestie, he told me I was disowned as I obviously belonged in St. Mungo." Laura sighed as she looked into the mirror. "Maybe he is right." |
Quote:
"No, problem. It was mostly the water anyway." Ella said with a smile, accepting the hug. O____O MEANGRANDPASAYWHATABOUTHUFFLEPUFFHOUSE? FROW.FROWN.FROWN. "Laura, can I speak truthfully?" And without waiting for an answer, the second year spilled everything she was thinking at the moment. "Your Grandfather sounds AWFUL. SO WHAT if the rest of your family are Ravenclaws? It doesn't mean you're not smart cause you're not in that house...It just means...means you value other things more!" Like being loyal and hard working! "It's really MEAN of him to make you feel like you're dumb for being a Hufflepuff! Hufflepuffs are great...and smart...and well, just plain AWESOME." And they had one all three cups last term, remember?! AND GRRRR. About her Grandfather speaking badly about her and Soph. "As for you being mental cause you're our friends, I think that's mean too!" Hmph. "If anyone belongs in St. Mungos, it's him!" |
Quote:
Laura looked at Ella. "He's my Grandpa, He has the right to disown me for being stupid." Laura sighed. "He's right isn't he Ella and so are the Professor, I belong chained up to the wall or in St. Mungo because I'm stupid and don't deserve friends like you or Sophie." Laura looked at herself in the mirror and before anyone could stop her she started slaping herself in the face, she really was a rubbish friend and if Ella wanted to leave now she could, Laura sank to the floor and started crying. |
Quote:
O___O "Laura!" Ella said, running forward when her friend started slapping herself. Like WHATTT? When she got to her best friend, the girl was collapsed on the floor in tears. Ella frowned and slid down next to her, grabbing her hand to comfort her. "Laura Hope Hyde. You Listen to me, okay?" ... "You're listening, right? You are NOT rubbish. And you most certainly are NOT stupid. You're Laura. You're funny and silly and brilliant, not to mention that a certain Hufflepuff boy really likes you." A lot of people loved her, actually. "I'll always be your friend, even if your horrible Grandfather doesn't want me to be. And...and if you ever doubt yourself then...come talk to me, okay? Cause I see the brilliant Laura and I'll show her...to you to." The second year hoped all that made sense. Truthfully she wasn't even sure what she was saying because she was so worried about her friend. She just didn't want her to be so upset. |
Quote:
*Blink* *Blink* *Blink* Ella had used her full name, now that was new no one had ever used her full name to her before except when she was in trouble. "I'm not rubbish or stupid?" Laura sighed she ignored the bit about a certain boy liking her. "But then why do all the Professor hate me and why does my own family hate me answer that?" Laura cried, she was sure that Ella couldn't answer that. "I'm so stupid the sorting hat knew I belong in Hufflepuff, my grandpa say it's the house were all the nutters go and I must be a nutter to be in it." Laura cried then Ella said something that made a small smile come through the tears. "You mean that? Your not just saying it?" Laura couldn't believe she had a bestie like Ella. |

REALLY?...LIKE REALLY?! "LAURA! YOUR HAIR!" FLAILLLL. Okay, no more Ms. Nice Girl. "Fine. Alright! If you want to go around cutting your hair because you're mad, it's FINE. But stop making it seem like everyone hates you because actually, no one I know HATES you. So you have friends, Laura...maybe you should think about how we feel when you say the stuff you're saying and act the way you're acting." Frown.Frown.Frown. |
Quote:
"I'm really sorry Ella." Laura sighed. "If you don't want to be friends with me anymore I understand." Laura looked at Ella and then got up and wiped her eyes. "But even if you don't I'll always be your friend." Laura just hoped her Bestie wasn't very angry at her, she sounded very angry and Laura just stood there waiting for her Bestie to say something. |
Quote:
The blonde sighed before looking at her friend. She felt really tired and annoyed all the sudden. "Laura. You know I'll always be your friend. Just...just stop being so hard on yourself." Cause it's flipping scary. |
Quote:
Laura smiled at Ella. "I'm glad, and I promise to stop being so hard on myself." Laura said truthfully. "My grandad is wrong I'm good looking and....." OH Laura suddenly blushed. "I hope Oakey doesn't realise I cut my hair, he might think it was a stupid thing to do." Laura ran upto Ella and gave her a hug. "I feel much better now bestie." Laura held out her pinky for Ella. "I pinky promise to never do anything like this again and drag you into it." |
Quote:
Good looking? So now Laura was feeling...super confident? Well it was better than the nonsense she had been talking before, that was for sure. As for the Oakey talk, this actually made Ella soften up a bit and she giggled. "It was a stupid thing to do...but he'll probably still LOOOOOVE you anyway." Cue some serious eyebrow wiggling action. And then the second year was being hugged and she smiled faintly. "Good." Job well done then, yeah? Pinky out, Ella wrapped hers around Laura's and shook them. "It's a deal." |
Quote:
"HE LOVES ME." Laura shouted, she was glad it was just her and Ella here. "OAKEY GUNTER LOVES ME." Laura gave her Bestie a big hug and giggled as she tried to get Ella to laugh, she nudged Ella and then decided to be a bit daring. "And HARVEY LOVES ELLA I'M SURE OF IT." Laura giggled hoping Ella wouldn't mind. |
Quote:
The second year's eyes grew wide when Laura then started yelling. She couldn't help but laugh at how ridiculously loud she was being. It was nice though, that she wasn't crying anymore. She giggled, noting how happy Laura seemed about the Oakey thing. "He really does!" She said with a smile. And then... O____o "Laura!" And the blonde walked towards the stalls, checking if anyone was around. "You can't go yelling that around..." |
Quote:
Laura giggled as she started to do a small jig in the bathroom. "He really does." She said as she grabbed hold of her bestie hand and started trying to get her to dance, she was worried her Bestie was still mad at her but her bestie would tell her in her own time. "This term has been fun, if someone had told me I would have been in love with a guy who loves me at the start of term then I wouldn't have believe you." Laura giggled. *pouts* "Okay I won't then even though it was just my oppinion." She pretended to go all cross but couldn't keep it up and started giggling again. "You should have seen yourself then Ella." Laura looked at her Bestie again. "I'm glad we met Ella, you always know how to cheer me up." |
