Divination 1 (Grounds Portion) It was a long walk down from the Divination Tower to the lawns that sprawled out infront of Hogwarts Caslte and hopefully you didn't let your shaws drag or trip over your skirts. Professor Elwood is already waiting for you when you arrive, she too has dressed up as a stereotypical forune teller complete with about 5 shaws, a purple turban and about 10 pounds of necklaces. When you arrive please line up close to her and wait for instructions. OCC: Be sure you have posted in this thread before coming here. ** The thread will remain open so that you can continue to work on your carts and I've decided to keep it open until Noon (12pm EST) on Saturday, May 12th. |
It wasn't until Zhenya, dressed in as much as she could fit on, waddled out after the Professor. She was spending a lot of her concentration on making sure she didn't trip over the long skirt she was wearing. She had to hold it up so that she wouldn't get tangled up. When the Professor finally stopped somewhere, Zhenya looked up and took in what she was wearing. "Professor you look like one of the Muggle Fortune Tellers," she said and laughed. About to step forward and walk towards the Professor, Zhenya forgot to hitch it up and tripped over, landing on her front. She laughed and got up, and noticed some grass stains on her clothes. She hoped they weren't the Professor's clothing, but she thought that the stains only improved the outfit. |
It took Nigel forever to get down to the ground where the professor was in the new outfit he was wearing for this class. But he finally made it and heard a older girl say that the teacher looked like a muggle fortune teller. He privately agreed and laughed along with her. While laughing he lined up waiting for her to continue the lesson. |
HIS TURBAN KEPT FALLING OFF. He hadn't put it on properly, he was sure of it. Getting extremely frustrated with himself, Theodore almost stomped onto the grounds and was happy to finally come to a stop. What sort of divination could they do out here? Maybe they were gonna build their own stalls and predict each others futures! How exciting. Theo had no idea whether he would succeed at this. Knowing his luck, probably not. He looked at the professor, who wore a purple turban like he was. Hmmm... he was sooooo right about purple being a fortune teller colour. |
Hannah felt silly and she wasn't happy about having to walk all the way down here. What was the point of making the climb to the classroom in the first place? She stood close to the professors and the other students that were already there. The bangles were already making an annoying clanging sound. She hoped this nonsense would be over soon enough. |
Alyssa walked out onto the grounds, trying not to trip over her skirt. She saw the Professor waiting for them, and moved to join her. She was already starting to perspire and tried to loosen her shawl and boa around her neck as she was starting to feel like she was being strangled alive. Her neck weighed a ton and she wondered whether she was hunching over. 'Hehehehe...now I know why some of the fortune tellers look like hunched back hags. It's because of all the jewellery and stuff they wear around their necks. Craaazzzyyyy!!' she thought to herself. "You look pretty cool dressed the part, Professor. Is it starting to get hot here?" Alyssa asked the Professor as she tried to cool herself by waving her hand in front of her face. |
Annoying, clinging noises followed Nora as she walked outside to meet the professor and the others for whatever they were about to do, all coming from the bracelets and the necklaces, all hitting each other with every step she made. The thing was; she didn't mind that. Because, even though she had no idea what they'd do, she was excited! Approaching the others, she stopped right there and, thankfully, the noises slowly faded away as well. |
Indiana was actually so excited about this lesson. Getting to dress up was so cool. Sure she was 13 and probably shouldn't have enjoyed dressing up so much. But Indy didn't care. She loved dressing up. And all these braclets were so cool. Although maybe not wearing her shoes had been a bad idea. Cause her feet were gonna get really dirty. But that didn't matter. She could just go and have a shower later. So holding her skirt up a little bit, Indy skipped over to where the professor had gone, jangling away as she did so. "This is so cooooool Professor." She giggled with a big smile. Could she keep the costume? She'd like too. It was awesome. |
Aspen was pleased with herself. Still bothered with the new Professor a LITTLE, but pleased with herself. Her idea to cover her face with a shawl and wear her hood made her, in Aspen's mind, all but invisible. Unless one knew her eyes and there weren't that many at Hogwarts that were THAT observant. Quote:
...Aspen couldn't help herself. West's little friend was having turban issues, so Aspen HAD to help. The faceless Ravenclaw gently reached out to help the young Slytherin secure his turban. It just needed to be wrapped a little tighter and she was willing to help. In fact, she was compelled to help him. |
Hydra felt very comfortable with what she was wearing but did feel a tad bit stereotypical but she didn't really care she was just excited about the lesson because it wasn't how she expected to be. She stood around Professor Elwood with the rest of the class waiting for the lesson to continue. |
Still carefully carrying her The only part of her that didn't look right was the fact she was still wearing her red wellington boots, and they kept squeaking when the rubbed together. OOPSIE. |
Louisa was dragging her feet, huffing and puffing all the time as they followed the inexplicably HAPPY professor that looked like a... fortune teller. Ignoring all the fuss about the outfit, since she wasn't the one who ordered kids to dress up and walk like a medieval tribe, the Prefect just kept her eyes open for anyone actually falling or rolling off the slope. |
Damon walked outside, he tripped about 50 times on his way down. He already knew how inconvienent this kind of thing was but he managed to make it down. Stepping onto the grounds he looked around, what were they going to be doing? |
Spike felt ridiculous. Simply ridiculous. ...having to parade quite so far throughout the building hadn't helped. And to keep his turban in place, he'd had to pull it down hard. Which meant his unruly, wayward curls were unusually pressed tight against his forehead and getting in his eyes. And as soon as he shook his head to get it out of his eyes, his turban wobbled and threatened to fall off again. Hmph. |
Oichi smiled as she paraded her brightly colored garb all the way down to the grounds before the professor stopped and Oichi waited in the line of students with the professor at the lead. Well, this interesting. I wonder what form of divination has everyone at the grounds. |

He felt his turban tighten and then he realized that she was just being NICE. "OH, thank you!" He beeeeeeamed at the mystery girl. |

Then her blue eyes caught sight of one problem and her head turned towards the boy, "You could charm it to stay in place, you know?" she said, nodding as she spoke, which made her hair shine silver as the sun touched it. See, she made the best decision by not choosing a turban, though. Otherwise she'll look plain, and that wasn't the desired effect, was it? |
Ira followed others out on the grounds, wondering what they were gonna do.. All around her, the clink-clank of countless bangles could be heard. And they ALL were such a funny sight! Wish she had her camera! She SHOULD take a photograph of them all in their WEIRD outfits and attire! She was sure that she wouldn't be seeing anyone dressed in these attires again! Ira giggled. She just couldn't stop giggling! Now what Professor? Eh? Then thinking of something, she tried to remember the spell to change her color she had learnt in earlier terms. Oh yes! She remembered now. Ristaris right? Using it, she transfigured her hair! Making it all black with some red highlights. Yes! Now she looked more like a tribal person! Hehe... Maybe Professor wouldn't mind this.... |
She had walked down to the grounds where the others were."These outfits are colorful." She said in a bored but fun manor. |
Hopefully, they wouldn't have to climb all those seven floors back when they were done here. Hopefully. Joćo had made it here alright. Even his trousers were okay. Just that... he didn't like the idea. Nevertheless, if this would gain him some points, he was already in for it. And he would get it to the end. Arriving at the place where the professor also was, he started waiting for the rest of the class. |
Muttering to himself at how ridiculous he looked as he had to head through the ENTIRE school dressed like this to get out to the grounds. Why couldn't people have something that was for tall people??? His face was bright pink, and the darn turban wouldn't stop flopping around! Yanking on it again as he approached the class, he tried tugging it down on his head again. It just wasn't working! Sighing, he stood there his lips pursed a bit glad for once that Amelia wasn't right there at the moment to see him looking like this. |
Jory arrived at the grounds where the lesson was to be held. As he walked the turban kept slipping a bit down over his eyes. Fixing it, the Puff arrived at the line of students. The others looked just as funny as he did. Even though the turban was giving him trouble, Jory had to admit, it was his favourite part of the costume. He lined up where the others were and waited for the lesson to continue. |
Selina had been very quiet during the first part of the lesson. The redheaded Quidditch captain was not usually prone to talking in divination as it were because of her fear that someone would figure out why she was so naturally gifted at the subject, but during that lesson she did not talk for other reasons. It had been a long time since Selina had the privilege of a real divination class. Longer than she liked to admit. Bishop had been her mentor and confidant as she discovered more about her unique case toward the subject. But this new professor seemed very in tune with her abilities in the divinations. So she simply watched and listened to try and soak up as much as she could. But when they assembled on the grounds, Selina made sure she kept a good distance from the professor in the order of the line. It was not like she wanted to draw attention to herself, especially in divination. However, with the way that she made them all dress, which was somewhat offensive to Selina, she was certain that things were about to get a whole lot interesting. |
Oakey came down to the grounds with everyone else. He looked around at each of the other students all dressed up in weird Fortone Teller Outfits. He wasn't one to complain about it though. He had added just a few things to his outfit before he came down to go along with his magenta turbin, poofy pants, and the white genie vest he found. Each other finger held a giant ring on them, and he took four feathers from some unused turbins and placed them on his. |
Daichi kept pushing his golden bracelets up when the kept sliding down his wrist and over his hands. The rings were no joke either. How did girls even do this? Wearing this stuff without getting annoyed by it? It was a mystery to the fourth year. Somehow he managed to walk down the staircase without tripping over one of the girls skirts while he followed his classmates and Professor to the grounds. He wondered what they would be doing there but since Daichi liked being outside more than inside the tower he smiled a little. He stood near the other students and waited for class to continue. |
