"You're welcome." he said, tipping her a small wink and then leaning down a little, he whispered again. "You could probably teach some of the others how to draw." Oliver nodded his toward some of the students and grinned. He never got tired of stirring the cauldron.

Nerida kept on smiling and then hearing his next comment she had a really hard time trying not to burst out laughing. She looked over at some of her peers drawings they were erm, okay... She laughed unable to stop herself that time, the urge was just to much, hopefullt none of her peers would think that she was laughing at them, because she wasnt that much.

The Slytherin's eyes seemed to have magnified behind the glasses he wore. He felt cold shivers run down his spine and his hands shook. There was really something with this Professor that made him scared almost every lesson. Maybe the man hated him? But then again, he hadn't really told him last term what he had been afraid of so maybe it was his own fault?

Daichi stared at the fire. He kept reminding himself that he was not a little kid anymore. He was fourteen! But even age couldn't help him not being scared.

As the Professor told them to draw the scene in front of them, Daichi's hands continued to shake as he opened his bag to grab a piece of parchment and coloring tools. He wanted to look away from the fire but his eyes were drawn to it. .......Light his wand to see better? ARE YOU KIDDING?! He was already afraid!

Letting out a long shaky breath, Daichi began to draw the things he saw.

SPOILER!!: Drawing through the eyes of someone who's boggart is fire

After finishing his drawing, Daichi placed his materials down and grabbed his bag where Mr.Duckles his plushed duck was hidden in. He pressed it tightly against his chest and turned around, not wanting to see more of the fire.

Can he leave , please?

Glenn backed away slowly from the fire. She frowned. What was in the egg that was so dangerous that they would need to back away from it and have fireproof clothing? She was pretty sure her uniform was not fireproof and neither were her shoes. It couldn't be a.... Glenn's mouth formed a small 'o'.

She backed away a little further. What would the creature do? She sat down on the ground and pulled out some felt pens from her bag. She wasn't much of an artist. Her most experience was drawing when she was five that her mother still insisted on having hung on the wall.

"Lumos" She whispered; perhaps the only spell she had mastered. It lit the page a little, casting a dim (Well it had kinda worked...) light over her parchment as she leaned on her journal, drawing. After she finished, she signed her picture. The blonde leaned back and watched the flames. Now, let's see if her suspicions were correct.

Cloak wrapped around her to keep out the slight night chill, Isabelle shuffled slowly into the CoMC lesson, trying not to disturb the children, who looked hard at work already. William didn't seem to be around anywhere though, but she could just make out the shape of Oliver Jenkins talking to one of the students in the gloom. Maybe she could do that. With one that had finished their drawing.

Spotting Daichi nearby she walked over and crouched down next to him. "Mister Katharos," she whispered in greeting. "That's a very....fire filled drawing. Nice." Was the fire that big? It didn't seem so to her, but... Daichi seemed a little nervous. "Are you alright?"

Zack move back a little and a bit more as professor tried to get them back from the fire place. He wasn't really sure if the professor was still in his right mind. Does he even know he has a class at the moment? If he did know then definitely he was out of his mind. He cannot have a class with all his students standing. What in the name of Merlin was he doing? He surely needs to see a healer to bring him back.

He stood there staring at the cauldron and then at the professor and then back at the cauldron. He was too confused by all that was going around, he hadn't even realized when they came in. Zack was thinking how crazy this class was going to get when professor told them to draw. What? draw? draw what we see? are we in some painting lessons or what?

He didn't like drawing at all. He had aways hated to draw anything in his whole life. Now, that there was no choice, he removed his aparchment and started dwawing what he saw. Except the professor, who looked confused himself. Now, what after we draw, are we just going to keep standing here for the whole lesson? Damn!

He took out this quill and began drawing the fire place, then he drew the woods, then the fire, then the cauldron and then the egg. It wasn't so difficult after all. It was easy. Hope we get a homwwork like this he thought. He kept looking at his sketch to see if he could add anything more if he'd missed something. But was satisfied with all that he had done. He didn't need to add anything else.

He looked around to see if there was any sign of the professor returning. No, i don't think he will be returning any time soon he thought. I think he didn't wanted to teach and so just left us standing and drawing here in this room where they couldn't even sit down somewhere. Then he finally managed to sit on the floor, he couldn't keep standing for the whole lesson. He sat down and kept his bag on his side and his drawing still holding it in his hands he thought what was there in the egg. Was it some dragon egg or something as only they need so much of heat to hatch. If this is illegal then definitely he is out of his mind.

Woot, sketching! Theo was no Van Gogh, but he was still awesome.

Getting out his notepad and pencils, Theodore squinted his eyes as he roughly drew the egg and the cauldron. He was a little intimidated by the fact that they needed fire proof clothing today, but his mind was still open for this class. It looked kinda cool.

Minutes later, Theodore stared at his drawing, not 100% pleased.

Eh it would do.

The fourth year couldn't help but jump a little when he noticed that the Professor had crouched down next to him and was looking at his drawing. He was still pressing his bag with the stuff animal inside to his chest as his dark brown eyes also looked at the paper. "ehm...t-thanks?" he stuttered.

When the Transfiguration Professor asked if he was alright, Daichi tried to look everywhere except at her or the fire. He bit his lower lip as he muttered a.. "I don't like fi-...i-i mean, y-yes.." Why could he never tell what was scaring him?

Sarah saw the egg thing get heated. Wouldn't it hurt on the inside so much? Well unless it isn't a dragon egg, Sarah felt sorry for the burning thing. When professor asked them to sketch it, she was only too eager to get a distraction. She brought out her pencil and a pad of papers, and started to draw.

She drew, not to her usual strength, but it was something though. She drew a pair of gloves, a bucket, the cauldron with the egg and not to miss the giant fire. After she was finished with it, she set it down and watched the others work.

Righting the stool, and blinking at the sudden appearance of students, Williamson cleared his throat and then moved his stool out, somewhat shooing them back from the converted fireplace.

"Hello, hello, hello," he randomly nodded around at the kids, not greeting anyone in particular. Of course they were ALL welcome in his classroom, so long as they took care of the creatures. And each other. Maybe.

"First things first, I'm going to need everybody to take a few BIG steps backward, that's right, and then a few more. There. Good." William chased them away from his fireplace in a nice, calm manner, until the students who had entered last nearly had their backs against the wall with the barn door. Now that they were not in any danger of catching fire, he motioned for them all to sit down.

Hmm. Where were those benches he'd meant to bring in? Ah, no matter. Must've just slipped his mind. "You all can take a seat on the floor, my apologies for, er, the lack of more comfortable seating, but I have a feeling we won't be here long. So. Thanks for coming."

He smiled and rubbed his hands, glancing over his shoulder just once more at his precious project in progress.

"While we wait for the start of the..... event that I invited you to, I would like everyone to begin by sketching what they see before them. You brought paper and pencils, right? And fireproof footwear and stuff?" Willy shot the older students looks. He was going to blame the older ones for not reminding the younguns if anyone was unprepared and got hurt as a result. Fingers crossed though, nothing would go wrong today. Right?!

He cleared his throat and his mind of such thoughts. "So yes, that's your first task of this class. Draw the ah... well I'll tell you it's an egg, but I won't tell you what KIND of egg, draw the egg in the cauldron and the fire and such as you see it. I realize it's rather dark in here, so you may use your wands as a sort of drawing light, but give me your best sketch." The professor beamed at them all happily. "All righty then? While you work on that, I just have one more thing to prepare for today's lesson."

Williamson nodded at the older students once again, sort of giving them a nonverbal cue to keep the younger kids on task, and then disappeared around the corner of the barn. Two metal buckets were just visible in his hands before the darkness swallowed his tall frame.

His back was pressing against the far side of the barn as the Professor greeted them and started the class. And although he had noticed that there were no hay bales to sit on, his entire attention was taken by what was heating in the cauldron.

He knew well enough that egg wasnt for breakfast.

Now they were told to draw what they were seeing. It was dark inside the barn so Vickers moved a little closer towards the barn doors to catch some light from the moon when he saw the Runes Professor walk in, followed by the Transfigurations Maven.

"Good evening Professor Jenkins, Professor Magnus" he uttered politely, although it was obvious that he was wondering why the other Professor were there. He glanced back towards the egg. Are they gonna be witnessing a hatching????????

He sketched as best he can under the conditions, but he was no artist he will readily admit that. It was why he valued his wizarding cameras highly-- they save him plenty of time and trouble to record an image.

And if this egg be cracking open now.... he should maybe try to make a bolt for it and grab his camera.... all the way to the Ravenclaw towers.

Guh. How good is his Accio spells?

Spike had been one of the last to enter the classroom, and consequently, he was now getting squished back towards the door. At least he had a few ickle firsties around him though, so he could actually see what was going on. He stared at the egg, intrigued and excited.

Dragon? Ashwinder? Salamander? Fire crab?

Whichever, he bounced a little at the thought. Piranha plants in Herbology, and then a glowy egg? Maybe fifth year wasn't so bad afterall.

They had to draw? Hmmm. Indy was a much more avid drawer than he was. Spike rummaged in his pockets for his pencils - pulling out a rather chewed up grey pencil, and a limited number of colours. Not that the latter really mattered, since the room was pretty dark anyway, and he had a red for the flames. He also found his black pen, so he could attempt some outlining.

He glanced up at the view in front of him and roughly started sketching it in. The straight lines of the fireplace seemed a good place to start, so he put them in first. Working from there, it was not long before he was adding in the all important egg and cauldron, flames and some details on the walls.

...the finishing touch? To neaten it up just a little bit with his black pen.

Voila!

Kurumi was completely oblivious to everything else that was going on around her as her brown eyes saw nothing but the egg that was in the cauldron. She didn't really hear anything else either and found that the ground was rather comfortable despite having fallen rather hard on it. Her bum was throbbing a bit, but that was all ignored because there was an EGG....in a CAULDRON....MOVING...with FIRE!

She did eventually regain some sort of consciousness when Professor Williamson address the class and told them to...draw? But but but... Frowning slightly, Kurumi almost reluctantly took out her parchment and quill and hurriedly began to sketch things out. The quicker she got it done the quicker they could move on, right? Starting with the stables, Kurumi drew a very rough outline before moving on to THE main area. Kurumi had to wonder where the winged horses were that had been kept in this stable until now. But her thoughts didn't linger there for too long as there was something more important on her mind at the moment. Cauldron and feeble flames drawn, Kurumi opted to not put too much detail into the background, although she did draw a few squiggly lines to indicate the egg's movement before she...embellished a little. They were told to draw what they saw and, well, Kurumi's imagination was making her see things.

SPOILER!!: draaaaaaaaaaaaaaawing <333

Kurumi set her quill down and placed her parchment on her lap, turning her attention once again to the scene. It was only then that she noticed more professors had made their appearace, which only made the Gryffindor MORE excited. More professors meant more supervision which meant that there was a HIGHER probability that there was something AMAZING in that egg. You didn't need this much supervision for ashwinder eggs after all - nor did you really need a cauldron....

Dylan did not like being in this barn...and he most certainly didn't like being in this barn with a fireplace...that might somehow start burning out of control and kill them all.

No. He wasn't a fan.

And the egg was making him want to draw closer to those flames...

...It was a conspiracy. The good Professor was trying to kill them all.

Standing back a ways...Dylan was able to break contact with it, focusing his gaze on his peers instead. Of course when doing this, SHE jumped out at him immediately...

It wasn't even like he looked for her...The Slytherin eyes just seemed to always fall on her in particular.

Meh. That was a conspiracy, too.

Then someone was talking and Dylan quickly recognized him as the Professor. How had he missed him already in the barn? Well, it was dark...Very dark...

*BLINK*

...A drawing of the somehow enchanted egg that made him want to burn himself? SURE. *SARCASM* He'd just gotten out of the Hospital wing. Why not take a trip right back? And hey, while he was at it, he could just go ahead and reserve a bed since every class he'd attended so far had ALMOST KILLED HIM.

Taking a seat, and being none too happy about it, he pulled out his wand and the other things he'd been required to bring to this blasted class. Whispering "Lumos!", the tip sprung to life, lighting the parchment easily...But why did it have a purplish tint?

Not really felling like bothering with it, Dylan began drawing...All the while grumbling about the situation.

...

Adding some coloring charms and labels, he whispered "Nox!", settling back to observe anything but the egg.

...And who was the Professor kidding? That thing obviously had a dragon in it.

I wish she had the humor to draw the professor XD

Louisa was huffing and grumbling for sitting on the DIRTY floor that was probably full of dissolved creature poop. Eew. She hugged her knees to her chest, eying the ground disgustedly as professor Williamson explained what he wanted from them. To draw, of course. Hmph. She didn't like drawing all the much, writing their guesses or debating over what kind of creature was about to hatch would be good enough, no? NO, apparently.

Louisa used her wand as an extra torch as she drew the scene... in a generic way. She wasn't really an artistic kind of person, she just paid attention to the right/wrong matter while drawing. Like floor, wall, fireplace, cauldron, fire, bubbles, and egg. That was it.

Taylor smiled at Damon but didnt say anything since class had just suddenly started, though she did nod and smile to answer his question. As she listen to the professor, she looked upon the egg. Tay looked up at the professor. Draw that? She sighed. Taylor was never good at drawing when it was dark and it was for a class. Tay preferred drawing for fun but she got out her drawing things and started to draw anyways. Every now and then she looked up at the egg then back down, sometimes she looked over at Damon and smiled though never losing focus on the work on hand.

Draw!?!?! Jezzabelle wasn't really the best artist out there and really she couldn't draw to save her life. Maybe she could sing the description. Yes, singing was good. But no, she had to draw it.

She looked down at the blank piece of paper before her and twiddled her pencil in between her fingers. Well, she needed just a little more light really. Pulling her wand out she said softly, "Lumos." She then carefully placed her wand behind her ear which placed just enough light onto the paper.

Now how was she supposed to draw this thing? She looked around at some of the already finished students and then looked at the two extra Professor's that had showed up. Well it looked like this was becoming more of a party than a class. No, she needed to focus. Slowly she began to sketch out what was seen before her and she prayed she would at least get something for effort because to her it looked horrible. A six year old could do better. Just in case, she labeled things so people would know.

Without even the least of thoughts as to why they were doing this, Sierra took a few steps backward...and the a few more. She guessed it was for the best. Again, if a creature hatched out of that egg and went on an attacking spree, it was best if the weak were up front and center. That way, students like Sierra could get out in time duel the creature properly.

She didn't really want to sit on the ground, but seeing as she apparently had a picture to draw, she didn't have much choice. Of course she'd brought along all the right materials and protective gear. No, she hadn't reminded the younger ones. What was wrong with their eyes? They could read. Once she was in place, Sierra began to draw. She wasn't the greatest of artists, but then again, she didn't want to be a painter when she got older. She wanted to be a pro Quidditch player.

Sophie stepped back as professor Williamson told them to do so and sat down. Ooooooooooooo!! They were drawing the thingy! Cool! She quickly pulled out her colored pencils - whiiich she always brought along with her - and got to work as soon as the were allowed.

When she was done, she smiled and stared some more at the cool looking egg.

Selena took a biiiiiig step backwards followed by another one and another one. Then one more. “Sorry,” Selena muttered when she bumped into someone. After the previous stuff that had happened in this class, Selena had figured it would be best to leave Kent at the dorms. Sadly. She was pretty sure the pygmy puff would like this right now. The Slytherin plopped herself down on the ground and listened to the professor who sounded pretty much insane right now. Well, maybe he didn’t sound insane… just look insane. The girl pulled out her notebook and drew the egg.

Why were they drawing eggs? Were they going to give them to the house-elves to put on a menu or something? The professor disappeared for a moment and she shrugged drawing the egg. And the cauldron. And what she saw in general.

Hehe. Her drawing was probably the coolest. Obviously.

Autumn continued to sketch, it was only ment to be a simple sketch but she couldn't help add lots of detail to the egg and shading to the fire.

Professor Williamson started his lecture. It was a bit dark but students seems to manage it and everyone was getting excited to what was really inside that huge cauldron with an egg inside. Jonathan himself is even curious to it too. He has no clue to what is inside..... wait! Could it be an egg of a dragon?

That has to wait though, when the Professor asked them to draw or sketch what can they see in front. Jonathan nodded. He took out his parchment and decided to sit down on one corner. As much as he doesn't want to, he sees that there is no point to arguing to this since he was more excited with the sketching.

OOC: WHEW, lengthy post there! Sorry for not replying to you all directly, but I will reply to your drawing posts! Sketch the scene you see here as I've described it, either by hand (in real life), in Photoshop, or in Paint. The more creative you are on your own, the more points you'll get! No credit will be given to photos taken straight off the internet. I want to see what YOU can do on your OWN.

When you've finished your drawing, upload it to a photo hosting site and post it in here under a spoiler tag for grading! Class will continue tomorrow (EST) sometime (likely not for another 18-ish hours). HAVE FUN, but don't chat too much! Williamson is still within earshot. ;D

Ella smiled as Soph stood next to her but her attention was focused on the egg and on Professor Williamson, who seemed to be victim of a trance too. She raised her eyebrows, hoping the man would snap out of it soon or class might be a litter-erm-awkward.

He's Alive! Ella was relieved to see Williamson finally greeting the class and telling them to take BIG steps backward. Hmmm. So whatever was in that egg was potentially dangerous? It couldn't be a-no...no way. He was probably just keeping them a safe distance from the flames. Following his directions, Ella took several large steps backward, careful not to bump any classmates in the process.

When Williamson motioned for the class to sit, Ella looked at him curiously. Didn't he notice that there were no chairs to sit on? Uh-oh, his old age must be creeping in on him again. Poor guy. She did as he asked, sitting on the ground and placing her bag in her lap. Attention back on the man in charge. So they would be sketching? Yes! Ella loved to draw. She always had some paper and pencils on her person just in case a situation like this came up. Pulling them out, she raised her eyebrows. Fireproof footwear? Ella looked down at her feet and hoped that the shoes she was currently sporting wouldn't spontaneously catch fire. That would stink.

Lighting her wand, Ella turned her attention back to the fire and the egg that trembled every so often. Why was it doing that...Merlin's beard! They were here to watch it hatch. How cool. A little more interested then she was before, Ella began to sketch the scene before her as best she could.

Elise moved backwards. And further back until her back was pressed against the wall. Then, she sat down and stared very pointedly at the cauldron that had an egg in it. Maybe it was a dragon!egg. That'd explain why it was in the fire.

And they were supposed to draw! Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Elise was good at drawings!

Drawing? Yay! Pyrsephonie loved to draw, even if she wasn't too good at it. She pulled out a piece of paper and one of those pens that had multiple colors from her bag and started to draw.
