The glittering night sky is clear and visible through the enchanted ceiling, and the floating candles bedeck the entire hall in a warm golden light. All seems well with the world, aside from the empty plates still waiting for food to appear.
Angelina laughed and said, " I have done that a couple times, it was fun but my brother laughed at me." Now she knew a little more about Logan, "Oh I was thinking of I knew a Logan so I guessed he is either first year, doesn't go to our school or is older."
Taylor laughed, "I hate nose diving on accident but it is fun on purpose." She smiled, "Nice."
"Yea, my mouth is watering with all this talk of vomity-goodness!" he said, rubbing his stomach. "Some nice, cold pumpkin juice to wash it down too," he added, and even though it was a joke, he grimaced at the thought of what a combination of pumpkin juice and their fictional vomit pie would taste like. "Truthfully, I'm most looking forward to the turkey...and the chips...and the cornish pasties...and the chocolate pudding- Wow, am I hungry!" he exclaimed, his mouth watering for real now.
"Oh yum!" Eliza exclaimed and then shuddered at the nasty thoughts. "I'd really like.." she paused to think "I was going to say blueberry tart but after the beans...." she paused for effect "maybe not! Chicken and strawberries and cream... not all together of course! And a Butterbeer!" she added. Eliza's parents had frequently taken her to Hogsmeade so she'd enjoyed this beverage many times while her parents did shady deals with people hiding in a corner table..

A pair of very familiar violet eyes took a scan around the Great Hall. Was this really happening? Was it really fourth year already? For Merlin's sake where did the time go?! It honestly felt as though it were only yesterday that Miss Violet Le Veela had ever set foot in the Great Hall. And it was very hard to believe that it was only three years ago. Violet took a breath before heading over towards her House table of yellow and black. Violet gave a bright smile and a warm greeting to all of those she knew, and a friendly greeting towards those she didn't know, which were mainly the first years. After that had been accomplished Violet adjusted her robe and then smiled again completely happy being back at Hogwarts. What was she going to experience this year? For last year had been such an unforgettable experience for the young girl, an experience that she would prefer to experience ever again. Just the thought made Violet upset and she quickly tried not to think about her very traumatic break up with Christopher.
The young girl then began playing with her brown hair, yes it was still charmed chocolate brown; for now of course; for she was always twirled her hair when she was nervous. Violet then began to think about Elektra? It had been over several months since she heard from her best friend. And it had only been a few month since Selina had told her about Elektra in her vision. Which also made Violet even more worried, because neither Violet nor Selina knew if their best friend was alright or not. Was she alive? Did anyone even help her? Where is she now? Would they ever hear from her again? Was Elektra...de....dea..?
Violet quickly shook her head of such a thought and then realized that people were probably wondering why was this girl so deep in thought right now. She then blinked a few times and then reached for her goblet of Nettle Tea taking a sip. Violet took a breath and let it out slowly and then put on her bright smile once again. Never letting those around her know about the pain she was trying so desperately to keep hidden.
BUT the next thing she knew she heard the Great Hall doors open and the sound of someone coming into the Great Hall had been very noticeable. She didn't look right away for she thought it was probably just another student who was just late for the feast. But clearly it wasn't just anyone, for she could hear some people gasping in shock at the sight of who it was. Then Violet couldn't take it anymore and her violet eyes directed towards the Great Hall doors. Not even two seconds and her eyes had already widened and her mouth had dropped. Was she really seeing who she thought it was? Violet rubbed her eyes and then looked again. She wasn't seeing things! She was really seeing her long lost friend. AND not only that, she was alive and looking better than ever. Another two seconds had gone by and Violet was immediately out of her seat and was sprinting down the aisle towards Elektra Draven. She took a deep breath before screaming at the top of her lungs,
Then the young girl could be seen sprinting in her heels, which looked pretty impressive to be done. Her lungs filled with more air before screaming again,"AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!!!" When she was six feet away Violet seemed to leap into the air and seemed to fly towards Elektra. Her eyes still wide and the biggest smile on her face. After her flight Violet tackled Elektra into a tight hug and she then said over-excitedly,"OhMerlinElektraIcannotbelieveit'sreallyyouWhereha veyoubeenDoyouhaveanyideahowworriedI'vebeensinceyo uhaven'tansweredmyletterThat'soverseveralmonthssin ceI'veheardfromyouDon'tyouevereverdothatagainButan ywaysIambeyondexcitedthatyouarebackElektraI'vemiss edyousomuch!" All during this whole rant Violet's grip on Elektra seemed to be getting tighter and tighter.
Elektra paused for a moment just to see the reaction of people...until...one...certain...reaction...oh, bloody hell... Yeah, you guessed it it. Violet was the big reaction! Wait there was something completely different about- WHAT?! WHERE WAS HER BLONDE HAIR!!!!! WHY IN MERLIN'S NAME WAS SHE A BRUNETTE!!! What happened?! Before Elektra could even get a single word out, she noticed Violet just running down the aisle towards Elektra and picking up some speed. Elektra's smile on her face started to fade once she saw Violet leap, yes, LEAP into the air. Elektra already knew what was going to happen, hence...her smile slowly turning into a look of a "Oh, Merlin this is not going to end well" look and with that Violet tackled Elektra to the ground and and she falls back gripping on to Violet. At first she laughed at the way Violet was acting, but that Hufflepuff's grip was just getting tighter and tighter and well...Elektra was starting to lose her breath. "Vi! Vio- Can't...VIOLET!!" She managed to huff out with whatever breath she could conjure up to get Violet's attention. "Violet! Can't...breathe!!!"

Was this even the Slytherin house table, Sierra thought to herself, as she glanced around and noticed the Puffers, Claws, and Lions who'd joined them. With a sea of different colors, it was difficult for Sierra to find her own kind, aka the Slytherins, at their very own house table. She sighed and glanced up at the staff table. Had Tate given the speech yet? She was starving! She hated having to wait on all the firsties to get sorted in order for them to eat. It wasn't their fault some of the kids had yet to be sorted.
They should be allowed to eat first...
With another sigh, Sierra glanced around, spotting a few new faces and a few familiar ones, as well. She missed Evelyn. And Salamander. And Destiny and Marie, too. Oh, and where, just where, was BUNNY?!
Yeah, so...she may miss Bunny a little, too. A little.

Hannah wasn't sure if you could even roam around the castle at night without getting into trouble. Not that getting into trouble sounded too bad to her other than the point loss that was surely to come with it. "Roaming the castle sounds like a good idea, but I doubt we would get away with it." Surely the prefects were going to be helping them and even some older students would surely tell them where they were supposed to go. "I'm sure someone will help us. They can't expect us to know where everything is located in this castle." That would be absurd.
Hannah blinked a few times and pulled the hair back from her face. "Yeah, sending an owl tonight would probably be a good idea especially if your parents are anything like mine." She didn't even want to think about her parents and their ways. "You can borrow my owl if you would like." She was glad that she had her own owl. Her parents are very wealthy so there wasn't much that she ever had to want.
"Oh yum!" Eliza exclaimed and then shuddered at the nasty thoughts. "Yea, maybe the blueberry tart will have to wait until tomorrow night," he said, nodding in understanding. "I'm not planning on mixing all of my food either," he clarified. "Although," he hesitated mischievously, "a turkey-chocolate pudding sounds delightful!" He laughed before growing serious once more. "I could definitely use a Butterbeer though. I still don't think I've warmed up all the way from that boat ride across the lake."

"Yeah, I doubt they encourage it but they must get someone to show us around maybe the prefects or our head or house, Professor Lafay?" Eliza pondered for a moment.
"If you mean pushy purebloods with more money than sens then bang on" she joked. "Oh, yeah thanks, my parents probably won't send Hera up yet."

"Wow turkey-chocolate pudding sounds good!" Eliza laughed sarcastically. What he said next made her draw her mind back and she thought of it. At least it hadn't rained! Nonetheless it had still been cold- she couldn't wait till they could get the carriages. "Yeah, there's supposed to be some giant squid living in the lake..." Eliza mused.

"I've been meaning to ask you, to you want me to call you Sam?" he asked. "I never asked you if you preferred something else." he said. He knew this was a stupid question, but he had to ask...
Sammy chuckled. "If you want to. I'm fine with that or Sammy...just not Samuel." He really did not like his full first name.

It wasn't like he had to talk to her or anything if he didn't want to. And she certainly didn't want to talk to someone who didn't want to talk to her. After all she had been perfectly nice to him so she saw no reason from him to bot want to talk to her and then to lie about it.
Sammy raised an eyebrow a the girl turned away. All right then. She must have been done talking to him. He really didn't care. Saved him from being the rude person in this situation. And that was a good thing.
Kennedy raised an eyebrow. If he said that he had found the badge on the train then it meant he didn't know who the owner was, or did he say the supposed joke wrong. OR, did she not get that he was joking. Gah, he was never good at that.
"I don't know who the owner is," he said, just going along. "But it's nice so I'll keep it." He patted the badge on his chest and grinned down at it. There was no way she was getting her hands on his badge, although she thought it wasn't his.
He didn't know who the owner was. That was brilliant, wasn't it? It was alright though right? "It's okay, we can just say you're the prefect then, Prefect Kennedy," Selena said with a nod of approval. That sounded right. New prefect, another term, no biggie and it wasn't like anyone knew who were the prefects... except the professors which didn't really count. "Besides, you seem like you'll be a NICE prefect, so it works for me," Selena decided. She worked well with nice people.

Sammy looked around the floor and under the table. He didn't see any stink pellets around. "I don't see any, Hades."
Well, that... Hades thought he had found them since he started to smell an unpleasant odour somewhere nearby. He gestured utowards the Ravenclaw's table. A few of the stink pellets were under the Ravenclaw's chairs. "I guess... Better leave it be," Hades turned back to the Slytherin's table, whistling and pretending he didn't know anything.

"Where did you transfer from?"
This was what his former teachers talked about him. Hades can easily make friends with his friendliness and communication ability. That was why they sent him for between-schools events despite his young age. At least he had a lot of experiences he can use.
"Pleasure meeting you, Ms Hayden," first rule of meeting new people, address them with their last name unless said otherwise. "I'm from Durmstrang," he smiled cheekily. Hades didn't think he needed to tell where was Durmstrang. It was one of the most famous wizarding school in the world.

Atleast he tried.
Looking at the boy's robe , he noticed the Snake badge attached to it and he clapped his hands. "Ooooh you're a Snake to? awesome!"
Hades couldn't help but to laugh at Daichi's reaction. It was just how he predicted, the other boy was easily surprised. And seeing Daichi's failed attempt of glare, it only made him laughed harder. "Of course it's not," because 'boy with the apple juice' was an odd name to call someone.
A little feeling of inflating head filled in Hades the applause was directed to him for being a Slytherin. "Thank you. I told yo so," winked Hades. He already knew he would pass easily as a Slytherin. And as the sorting hat said, he won't make a good Hufflepuff.

Had he still have energy left, Hades would've go all around the Great Hall. Unfortunately, he ran out of energy after rounding the Slytherin table alone. Moving over to the nearest empty seat, the newly sorted Slytherin settled down next to a lonely looking girl. Hades looked around their table. There were Gryffindors, Ravenclaws and... Merlin's beard! Hufflepuff! Hades groaned angrily after seeing the Badgers hanging around at their table.
Turning to his left, the lonely looking girl still looked lonely. Maybe he should talk to her. Perhaps she was a transferee too, but lack of communication skills. "Where's your friends?" asked the blonde looking curiously at her.

After that second sigh of hers, Sierra was suddenly aware of the fact that someone (she hadn't bothered to actually look yet) had taken the seat next to her. She wasn't exactly used to casual conversation with others too much, so at first, it didn't exactly occur to her that it might be nice to actually turn and look at this other person.
So she just sat there.
Finally the boy spoke, and she was almost sure he was talking to her. After all, she got this feeling he was looking right at her. You know that feeling you get when you just know somehow that someone is looking at you? That's the feeling that suddenly washed over Sierra. Turning toward him and seeing that yes, he was indeed talking to her, she shifted her position so that she was slightly facing him. "Friends?" she asked. "What do I look like? A Hufflepuff?"
Honestly. What sort of question was that for a Slytherin? "Where are your friends?" she asked. ...and who are you?!

Selina smiled sweetly at Kacie who had just been sorted into Gryffindor. True, she had just wedged herself in between Selina and Gideon, but she was excited and Gideon was her brother. Besides, Kacie was excited. There was no way she could dampen her excitement... although Gideon was all for getting her off of his hands. Then the Great Hall. She heard an explosion in the great hall. Her head snapped to the side when she heard a familiar voice scream out a very familiar name. Selina felt her breath hitch- Elektra.
And there she was. Standing next to the Slytherin table like she had never left, like she had never gotten hurt, like she was fine. Without even excusing herself she stood up from the table and found herself heading straight toward the Slytherin table.
The Gryffindor Quidditch Captain blinked twice at the sight of her friend all safe and sound. Finally, she heard her and Violet start to converse. As soon as she could find her voice she uttered one word, "Elektra."

As Elektra could finally breathe she sat up on the ground and caught her breath and she chuckles looking at Violet. "Yes, I missed you too Violet. I'm sorry I haven't written back to you. I was...a bit...well...a bit busy while I was away, but don't worry I'll fill you in on it more when we have some time alone." She then noticed Violet's hair again. "Violet, I do have one question: What happened to your hair? Did you calculate a potion incorrectly?" She asked, but before she could hear Violet's answer, Elektra heard a voice. A voice that she did NOT want to hear. Elektra's eyes shot right up and there she was. Selina Arden Skylar. Elektra couldn't reply to her. She just blankly stared at Selina as she stood up and brushed off her leather jacket. Her piercing emerald green eyes just stared at the red-headed Gryffindor. There were no words that she could say to her. Elektra just ignored her and looked back at Violet. "So Violet, what have I missed since we last wrote to each other? I must have missed so much!"

'Ah, there she is,' Julien thought to himself as he strolled over to the Slytherin table. He had to admit though, he was perplexed as to why she was seated at the Slytherin table. He had been fairly certain that Juliet had been sorted into the Gryffindor house.
Unless, of course, she'd befriended everybody already. She was good at that.
"Lost already, sister?" Julien gave her a light poke as he slid into the seat beside her. "Why on earth are you sitting over here? I had to walk further to find you..."

He loved that he was in just sorted into Slytherin. Nothing could ruin this moment for him except for the fact that Anya and even Alec was sorted into different houses. So none of them where in the same house. His twin sister Ariel was sorted into Hufflepuff with Alec.

Hades too grinned imagining what would happen afterwards. He had dropped more than he wanted, unfortunately. But this should be fun. He wouldn't get caught for this. "Greetings from Hades Vaughn, Ravenclaws," he chuckled at his own sinister joke. This kind of things is always fun to laugh at.

Well, someone was grumpy. At least he knew that not everyone enjoyed this. Come to think of it, had the headmaster given his speech? Hades really needed to eat or he could run mad. "Believe me, I wouldn't even sit next to you if you're a Hufflepuff," sneered Hades. Heck! He wouldn't even look at them volunteerily. It didn't make sense to the boy that honesty and easily fooled are virtues. No one in the world was completely good.
For the next question, Hades rolled his eyes and gestured his head to where Sam, Taryn and Daichi were sitting. "Thought I'd make more acquaintances," if not friends. Hopefully he won't make enemies too soon. "I'm Hades Vaughn. Fourth year transferee from Durmstrang," that was the longest introduction he had made to a Hogwarts student. He had the feeling that the girl wondered who this guy was.
Making a face, he didn't say anything because he believed that it was sad that a parent would be disappointed in a person just because they were in a house different from their own, but knew it might happen with his mum. He probably knew about the Hufflepuff house more then anyone that was there right now! It shouldn't matter that she had a little brother either though if had disappointed them. They should get over it either way, and so should his own family! Because he was happy to be in a house that wasn't the same as everyone elses. He'd start a new tradition with his own kids, be in the house you belong in not the house your expected to be in!
Laughing he shook his head "From the rumors I might be one of the few Slytherin's found in the library or hiding in a book." Squeezing her hand again he smiled over at her "I'd love te have ye join me in looking!" Hey more time with his girl, what was wrong with that? "We could always go te the library, check out some books and go find a quiet place te read them alone" he whispered over to her quietly.
Sensing her moving to face him directly he searched her face as he turned towards her as well. Maybe he shouldn't have said it so lightly, looking back he really had no concern over it, it just made him more aware and to keep an eye on her, like on the train and even right there in the hall!
"Here we can definitely find quieter places te get te know people, like in the common rooms." Places like an ice cream parlor or the Leaky was kind of hard, with the busyness there. It'll definitely help getting to know Amelia better too, being able to talk at any time, when there wasn't classes and stuff to be at! "We'll have te explore the grounds and see what we find."
"I'm sorry?" Amelia said hesitantly, thinking she may have said something wrong by being flippant in her statement about acceptance, from the look on his face. She hadn't meant too, but then again some people had issues surrounding acceptance. Amelia didn't but that didn't mean that Isaac couldn't. Although she certainly hoped he didn't.
Well if she had said something wrong it seemed like she was instantly forgiven for it. Or she just hadn't said the wrong thing. She was hoping for the latter. "Not the only one I'm sure. Besides there's nothing wrong with reading and applying yourself. Even if I think you're a bit crazy for taking ALL the classes going into OWLs," she said, giving him a smile before actually noticing there was food on the table. Right. Isaac would just have to wait a minute because she was nearly starving.
Reaching over she got her fill of various vegetables before grabbing a cupcake to begin eating. A really good cupcake in fact. She'd only taken one bite though when she heard him mention checking out books and finding somewhere to read alone. That sounded really nice. "I think I'd like to not be stuck in the library. I don't even like being in the hall much, although I do love the ceiling, so finding a spot just for us is a really nice idea Isaac," Amelia responded, giving him her full attention once more. He was really sweet.
Amelia allowed her head to drop onto Isaac's arm, she was a touchy person sometimes and he smelled good, and closed her eyes for just a second before opening them again.
"Finding a quiet place to talk to people would be heavenly," by that she obviously mostly meant Isaac. "As does exploring the grounds. It seems like you and I will have lots of exploring to do together," because they had plans, well at least if she ever decided to go to Egypt and he ever came to Wales they'd have plans. And even if he didn't Amelia was sure that exploring the castle and grounds would be plenty busy. She just hoped Isaac would be able to find the time what with his class load.

Violet quickly apologized after realizing she was cutting off Elektra's breathing. She then began asking Elektra about a dozen questions and then Elektra had asked Violet why she was a brunette now. Her mouth had then closed for she had completely forgotten to tell Elektra about her brown hair in her letter. Although she would have told her if she could, if Elektra hadn't worried Violet to death by now responding. She then played with a few strands of her hair saying,"Right...Well...Umm...About that...No I did not mess up a potion..It was a charm...My hair is just charmed..." And just as she was about to go into explaining about her hair she heard someone say Elektra's name. She turned her head seeing Selina and then she smiled brightly saying,"She's back Sely!"
Then after doing so Violet looked at Elektra smiling brightly very happy to have the trio back together after so long. But...that didn't exactly come across as that for Elektra didn't even seem to acknowledge Selina at all. Violet was very confused at that moment. She looked at Selina and then back at Elektra. Had something happened that Elektra wasn't acknowledging Selina like she had done Violet? Wasn't she happy to see Selina? Well of course not by the look of it. Unsure of what to do at that moment Violet said softly,"...Umm..." Things had become extremely awkward.
Asher turned when he seen someone walk up to him. He smiled "Hello Jen. I'm Asher."
Asher smirked."Of course I am. Aren't you? " he asked the girl who asked if he was excited. She didn't look too excited. "I'm Asher... Asher Romalotti." He said with smile.
He loved that he was in just sorted into Slytherin. Nothing could ruin this moment for him except for the fact that Anya and even Alec was sorted into different houses. So none of them where in the same house. His twin sister Ariel was sorted into Hufflepuff with Alec.
"Its nice to meet you. My older brother told me bad stories about Hogwarts. It made me scared but he was wrong, this place is amazing!

"A little. But of course, I've been here before; I'm a second year," Sky answered. And hungry, but she left that bit out. That problem would be solved in a minute anyway. "Name's Sky. Sky Carter-Hope. Nice to meet you." Especially since he didn't seem at all nervous like most new Hogwartains. "Welcome to Slytherin," she said with a smile.

Lola was donning her Santa hat as she entered the Great Hall. She found herself a little bit late; usually she would be one of the first that would set foot at the beginning of the year but being so fashionably late would accept this kind of punctuality. And she DONNED that hat like On, Donner and Blitzen!!! Hehehehe.
"Hola chicas!"
So many new, ADORABLE little Slytherins. Fresh meat. Yum yum yum.

Ya know, that was before she had four kids she had to take care of. Since he was chewing on his roll, he just nodded to her in response.
Why was she mumbling that? He had thought she would have been happy to see Amelia because hadn't they been friends?
... or was he completely clueless as always?
"It's fine. I don't see why we can't all sit together." Compromise was a good thing occasionally.
"... and I never said you were," Zayden stated. Or did he? His memory was about as bad as goldfish's memory. When he was younger, he thought his awful memory was connected to the fact he was dyslexic but his parents had reassured him that bad memory loss and dyslexic weren't connected. Unfortunately, that meant he had more than one thing wrong with him.
He started loading his plate with food now, making sure to stray away from anything that could possibly contain shellfish. The last thing this dork wanted was to have an almost near death attack on the first day of school. "My evil cat got her." It wasn't his fault, though, because he had warned her.
He chuckled. "I do tend to surprise people." He winked at her. "I had cupcakes for breakfast so I should probably eat something healthy." Since he hadn't eaten that sandwich that his mum had made him on the train.
OHHHH! New person!
"Hello, mate." Zayden gave him a welcoming grin now. "I'm Zayden Abrams." Like he had said earlier, he was going to try to make new friends... and not be paranoid about people thinking he was stupid, nope. He was going to get over that fear or at least try to because it was going to be easier said than done.
"Don't be shy. We don't bite... much."
Snort.
Ad smiled a tad. "She could talk to Justin's stepmum. Healer AnnaLeah Hendricks" she offered.

"So what's wrong?" She looked at Addy with concern then. She hoped her friend was okay.
"I'm surprised you're not eating cupcakes." she added to Zayden now. She assumed he would have started grabbing the ones on the table.
"I'm fine...My arms and face hurt from that bloody cat, but I'm fine, honest" she said with a sigh. WHY DID EVERYONE BABY HER??? D:

Ad smiled. "Hi, Oscar! I'm Adrianna" she introduced herself.
