Misc. School Notes: Spent as much time in the dungeons as he did in the classroom, so it's a bit surprising to many that he actually graduated Hogwarts and managed to complete two university degrees all while playing Quidditch. If you look carefully in the corner of his office, you will find his favorite chair . . . the chair he spent many hours sitting in (which he took from the dungeons during his first term teaching). Personality: Max loves to have fun as much as he loves his wife and children, and Quidditch. He is a good-natured man, but he can't abide students/individuals who snap their fingers or are outright rude to him. Personal History: Max is the youngest child in the Vindictus family, and has a twin brother, Marcus Kostandin Vindictus, (who is 1 minute older than him), and an older brother, Rex Altair Vindictus. His father, Reginald Kostandin Vindictus (Reg is the only son of Swedish singing sensation [and one-hit wonder] Kajsa Regina Henriksson), a Durmstrang alumnus, was the head coach of the Vratsa Vultures for 45 years. Max’s mother, Maureen Fiona Vindictus, a Hogwarts alumnus, is a homemaker and a garden-design specialist. Brother Rex is the current Head of Magical Games and Sports in the Ministry of Magic, and twin brother Marcus is a Healer at St. Mungo's in the Artefact Accidents ward. When Max and Marcus were two years old, their older brother Rex decided to show the twins how to fly on their toy broomsticks and it was revealed that little Marcus was not gifted in the flying department (this incident explains why he currently lobbies for safer flying methods, including the use of a patented flying harness for broomsticks). However, little Max was a natural at flying and proceeded to break all vases in the house to his mother’s chagrin and his father’s delight. Childhood summers were spent with the entire Vindictus family visiting their Irish cousins (Maureen’s sister married a Shackleton) and traveling to watch Reginald train his Vratsa Vultures. At the age eleven, like hundreds of wizarding children before him, Max received his letter and arrived at Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat had an easy time placing him in Ravenclaw and the adventure began. During his first year, he became friends with Fabian Clark and Doyle Branxton. It was also during his first month at Hogwarts that he earned his very first detention with Valon Kazimeriz (he broke the man’s favorite teapot). It was the first of many detentions with Kazimeriz who seemed to appear wherever Max happened. His third year at Hogwarts saw Max make the starting Quidditch team, captained by his brother Rex, as a Beater. It was also during his third year that the infamous Vindictus broom-smashing incident in the Ravenclaw Common Room took place when the brothers got into a heated argument - look carefully, and you might find a large sliver of mahogany jutting out of a section of the stone wall to the right of the fireplace. He had to learn quickly how to balance homework, detention and practice, and became quite good at it. Whatever the strategy was, it seemed to work because Max earned 9 OWLs and 5 NEWTs before graduating from Hogwarts. Hours after graduation, Max tried out and made the reserve squad of the Heidelberg Harriers to the delight of his father. To appease his disapproving mother who told him to use his brain and get a degree, he enrolled in the local university and worked as a model for a German sportswear company so that he could pay the bills. Two years passed before Max finally made the starting squad as a Beater. From then on, the sky was the limit for Max who was considered one of the fiercest Beaters the sport had ever known. After twenty-two years of playing Quidditch and five Quidditch World Cup appearances for England, Max decided to hang up his bat and broom, and try something else less physical instead – he bought Quality Quidditch Supplies and decided to run the store on his own. He had only been in Diagon Alley for two years when one day, a nervous-looking Cassandra Rae-Branxton approached him and offered him the position of Flying Instructor and Quidditch Official at Hogwarts. At first, he thought that Doyle had put his wife up to playing a joke on him, but after a few uneasy moments of silence he realized she was serious and he accepted the job. Max's goal when accepting the Flying and Quidditch position at Hogwarts was to improve the flying skills of the students, reinforce safety when flying, teach them proper broomcare techniques, and to re-live flying history. Creative lessons have been the norm for him - from Creaothceann lessons with falling marshmallows and trying to fly on carpets to Quodpot and bashing pinatas. Even the final exams left some students with a healthy dose of respect for flying. Quidditch, however, has been his biggest challenge because the teams are always in a constant state of change. Max set forth the rules and enforced them. It's not uncommon for him to be seen watching team tryouts and practices, or pulling student-athletes to one side and making sure they were staying out of trouble and keeping their grades up. Same thing goes for the Ravenclaw students - Max is always keeping an eye out on his Ravenclaws, especially since becoming Head of House. |

Her name was taken from her Grandmothers from each parental side. When she became three years old, her mother gave birth to another baby girl, Bambi and she was the one who made the nickname Beezus for she couldn’t pronounce the name Beatrice very well. They had become a very happy family as the years passed by but things just don’t last for long. Because when Beatrice turned 7, a tragedy came into their lives that made them all miserable. Her father died in a fire in the hospital he was working as a doctor at and because of that, her mother had been temporarily placed on St. Mungo’s and she and her sister were placed under the care of their maternal grandmother. A few months after, her mother regained her normal thinking and they were returned to their home. Their mother had exerted more effort for them to live comfortably and live they did. They become happy once again yet it wasn’t the end of their miseries for another tragedy was bound to happen. And it was the death of Bambi. Yes, she died. Hit by a car in the sidewalk and Beatrice couldn’t do anything to prevent it from happening. As a result, her mother blamed her for her sister’s death and once more, her mother was put to St. Mungo’s. She then was moved to the care of her Aunt. She already knew she was a witch because her parents had told her when she was six years old. Thus, it wasn’t much of a surprise when she got the letter that says she had been accepted at Hogwarts. PERSONALITY… Being Beezus meant being a mixture of almost anything. If truth be told, the girl almost had mood swings. Traumatized by what happened to her family, she becomes more sensitive as years pass by though she always knows to put them in the rightful place. However, if provoked, she would really hit you with the most awful words that she could muster. Apart from that, Beezus is friendly. Well, when she wants to be. She is also full of life and accommodating especially to her friends. But there are times that she uses fake smiles to hide away her tears. In short, Beatrice is cheerful yet emotional. She had discovered her passion for Herbology and had grown to love it more because of their Herbology Professor, Professor Seren Bentley. Then, there was her best friend, Erin Cornelia Heyman whom she became close with since they were in the same house and dorm. There were more other friends that she had met along the way, all from the four Houses. Somehow, she’s avoided going down the path of being a mean girl, though. Instead, she earned her popularity by talking to just about everyone, and making friends with whoever seems willing. Not to mention, she just wouldn’t be able to be a mean girl anyhow, as it’s physically impossible for her to look down on people. That’s not to say she’s pathologically nice. She has a bit of a rebel streak, a side to her that can be a bit sarcastic and is unafraid to bite back if anyone attacks her. She does have the ability of coming up with responses for any situation, and sometimes even will revert to speaking in French if she’s particularly irritated, playful, or angry. She also is rather artistic, although she’s always channeled that into acting as opposed to anything else. (She occasionally sings as well.) Not to mention, she is quite a fan of Shakespeare, and can quote almost every one of his plays if she feels like it. Like most other girls, boys can distract Stella, and she’s not afraid to approach them. Talking to them proves to be no problem to her, but sometimes the physical can make her step back a little. She’s not the type to give herself if it’s not serious, so she tends to look for boyfriend material. As opposed to simply friends who are boys and fun to play with. She does have male friends, though. Things just stay very platonic with them. Enemies are few and far between when it comes to her, simply because she’ll just continue to be nice until they cave unless they are particularly mean. In those situations, she’ll ignore them. Insults roll off her like water, as she doesn’t like to let them get to her although she can also give them out when piqued. That’s the easiest way to explain her, and in the strictest sense, she isn’t. She was born in England, the second daughter of a Muggleborn Wizard and a pureblood witch who is a descendant of Perpetua Fancourt. She spent the first four years of her life in Wiltshire, running around the family home with her older sister while her mother painted and her father was looking for a job, but after her fourth birthday, that idyllic childhood ceased. Desmond found a job working for the Department of International Cooperation at the French Ministry, and he uprooted the entire family and moved them to France, meaning that little Stella had to leave any of her friends she’d made at home. That was hard on her, even though she still had Talia. The move was easier on an eight-year-old Talia, as she’d known she only had a few years before she’d go to school and she’d been determined to still go to Hogwarts, where both their parents had attended. Therefore, she only had to wait until then to see her old friends. Stella had longer to wait, and it took a year or two before she’d even settled into the new family home just outside Paris proper. Coinciding with Talia’s acceptance into Hogwarts, Stella met a new neighbor’s daughter, also seven years old at the time. Clarise was just as outgoing as a young Stella, and just as magical, and they bonded almost instantly, with Stella settling on calling her new friend by the nickname she’d created. Risa, while Stella was friendly and outgoing, was the slightest bit more adventurous and boy-crazy, and they ended up getting into all sorts of scrapes before both ended up enrolled at Beauxbatons. That disappointed Stella the slightest bit, as she’d always had a secret desire to follow Talia to Hogwarts and back to England, but at least she still had Risa with her. And she made the best out of going to Beauxbatons, earning high grades and even ending up in a relationship of sorts as of her fourteenth birthday with another English expatriate at the school, and an upperclassman, Ethan Wood. He was a bit of a Quidditch savant, and just as popular as the duo of Stella and Risa. However, while the two girls never let that get to their heads, it influenced Ethan more until it reached a breaking point the middle of their fourth years at Beauxbatons. Stella severed her ties with him, supported by Risa, but it also brought back her desires to leave France and go to Hogwarts. Even though she also didn’t want to leave Risa behind, she asked her father if he could do anything, and that was helped along by the fact that Talia had stayed in London after her own Hogwarts graduation, enrolling in Wizarding university there to try and study law (with the goal of becoming some sort of Wizarding private investigator). Desmond contacted some people and got her a transfer, as long as she stayed with Talia when she wasn’t at school. Stella was ecstatic, especially as she’d gotten to take a brief trip to London the summer before her last term at Beauxbatons, so she had a tiny idea what she could expect. Risa took the news okay, although it seemed that made her double her attempts to have fun with Stella while she could. Either way, the parting of the two friends was sad, but Stella had promised to write as much as she could and the same promise was made to her. She’d keep in touch with her parents, Carter (who had been born several years into their residence in France), and Risa, and Stella set off for her new adventure. Going to Hogwarts, where she’d always wanted to go. Once she got to London, she ran into someone she’d met during the brief visit the previous summer in Diagon Alley, Matthew Stevenson, and the fact she’d been unable to stop thinking about that meeting the year before made things a bit awkward. Only by way of she was hiding the fact she was transferring to Hogwarts from him and now she was hiding the fact she’d had feelings for him as well simply because she didn’t want to hurt their friendship. Somehow she’d managed to hide the feelings, even as he found out that she was now at Hogwarts when he saw her at the opening feast. The friendship continued to the point she ended up struggling with the first Potions homework assignment, as they were supposed to give their hate potions to someone who was important to themselves and the only person she could think of was the sixth year Slytherin. She wasn’t going to ask him to take it, but he talked her into it and things got extremely difficult for her. Things got said, she avoided him for a while simply to protect her own suddenly fragile emotions, but he finally managed to get her to the Room of Requirement after apologizing. That was when it came out that her feelings for him were reciprocated, and her best friend (at Hogwarts, as Risa was still her best best friend) became her boyfriend. And the main concern she had after that was OWLs, as she was paranoid that having been taught the previous four years at Beauxbatons had set her behind. After many study sessions, both with Matt and by herself, she sat her exams and passed them almost with flying colors. Thus letting her enjoy her trip back to France over the summer, and then the events she’d had planned once she’d returned to London before setting off on her sixth year of Hogwarts. |

After many hours’ worth of discussion, her parents gladly accepted the fact that she was a witch and agreed that it would be best for her to attend this “Hogwarts” place. All three agreed it would certainly be cheaper than sending her to the school they had been planning on. Though not exactly poor, they never did have a whole lot of money they could just throw around willy-nilly on things. Vashti’s first and second year went off pretty well, having not really been involved in the crazy “Fight Club” that affected the school in her first year, and became a huge Quidditch fanatic, even managing to join the team both years as a reserve. But with the start of her third year came a brand new stressful experience – just before her third year began, her father was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor. Reluctantly, she went back to Hogwarts and was further disappointed in the cancellation of Quidditch for the Triwizard Tournament. She corresponded with her mother and father through owls when she could and went home every time they were off for a holiday break. Some days were more stressful than others, depending on whether her mum’s last letter said her dad was doing better or worse. She was ready to come home at the end of the year, but the day she got back became the worst day of her life: Just a few hours after she arrived at the hospital, her father passed away while both Vashti and her mum were in the room with him. It was a devastating blow to the Greenwell family, and they would never be the same. Victor’s death brought not only emotional stress, but financial as well. Vivian had to get a second job, and Vashti even took on a part-time job for awhile, to make ends meet. Whenever Vashti wasn’t working, she took care of their small house – cleaning, washing dishes, making the beds, all the little things like that so her mum wouldn’t have to worry about it when she got home after a long day at work. All this kept Vashti busy and nearly convinced her that she shouldn’t go back to Hogwarts for her fourth year – her mother needed her more than Hogwarts did, she reasoned. Her mother, however, did not agree to her quitting her education there, knowing her daughter would be better off getting away from all this. Vivian refused to let her go to a Muggle school and by the time the first of September rolled around, Vashti had reluctantly agreed to go back to Hogwarts, but only at the assurance that her mother would live at Aunt Grace’s, Vivian’s sister, house for awhile so she wouldn’t be alone. So fourth year began against Vashti’s wishes, but there was perhaps one good thing about this year – Quidditch was back. So, of course, Vashti tried out and was thrilled to find out she’d made the team again. Quidditch practices and games helped keep her mind off of other things, at least while they lasted, and gradually she began to not think about her father’s death or start crying as often as she had over the summer. Her once-positive and friendly personality continued to become prominent once again, especially so after Ravenclaw won the Championship Quidditch match. With the start of her fifth year, there's pretty much only one - okay, two - things on her mind: the OWLs, and Quidditch. As the year went on, though, she had a third thing to be concerned about - her mum's new "friend" (read: boyfriend), Marcus "Mark" MacDougal. Vashti didn't like the idea of her mother getting a boyfriend, as she didn't want anyone trying to replace her dad. She met him over Christmas break, and though he wasn't exactly a bad guy, she wasn't willing to give him a chance and disliked him from the start. On the last night before break was over, she cornered him and told him exactly what she thought of him and that she wanted him to go away, and then she stormed back to her room and said a brisk good-bye to her mum and aunt when she left for Hogwarts the next morning. It took a few weeks before she started to regret her outburst toward Marcus, but she tried to drown out the guilt by studying even harder for the OWLs and practicing extra hard for the Quidditch games, but as Ravenclaw did not make it to the Championship Game this time, she spent most of her time focused on studying. She couldn't hide from her guilt forever though, and gradually it started to get worse. She slowly realized that Marcus actually wasn't that horrible of a guy and that he genuinely made her mum happy - certainly happier than she'd been in awhile - and wasn't that a good thing? Still, she procrastinated on apologizing until after she had taken her OWLs in June; then, she wrote a letter to both her mother and Marcus and sent it with her new pet owl, Calandra, just a few days before the term ended. Reuniting with her mum (and Marcus) at King's Cross Station wasn't quite as painful as Vashti had expected it to be. Her mum didn't scold her quite as much as she'd thought she would, and even Marcus seemed pretty understanding of it all. The following weeks were spent better than Christmas had been, and Vashti was starting to warm up to Marcus as well as his children, Kristina and Derek, who had just graduated from Beauxbatons. Then, a week before the end of July, her mum and Marcus announced that they were engaged - and though at first Vashti was shocked, and rather horrified, she has begun to accept it and is, perhaps a little, happy for her mum. Vashti's sixth year at Hogwarts, while exciting and fun overall, contained a bit of drama that she never would have expected to occur, mainly involving Louisa Carter. She temporarily lost her friendship with the younger girl after Vanishing the love potion that Louisa had used on Dallin McKinley. Fortunately, after a few months, they reconciled. Vlimia Laurel Maze is the kind of person that doesn't trust people very easily, but once you gain her trust, she is a very valuable friend. Though Vlim often tends to overthink things, sometimes that can be a good thing. She doesn't usually do things compulsively, but when she gets mad, there's no telling what she could do. But because of this, Vlimia is viewed from some people's perspective to act like an adult and seem too mature for her age, and to others too hotheaded and immature. Vlim often spends days alone, contemplating life, but she also spends sleepovers with others, eating ice-cream and having water balloon fights. Vlimia feels as if she has two personalities; the mature, school attitude and the childish, ridiculous personality. The name was originally an Aramaic name meaning 'a twin', but now it is seen to represent a tangled, difficult past or future - like a maze. Some of the traditional 'twin' meaning has been carried on, with the second child born to a Maze family being named after one of their parents. So when her mother tried to give her a bite, Elliot screamed 'NO!' and the cookie went flying out of Mrs. Morganzo's hands and into the family's house elf, Krosby. Josey never again tried to feed her daughter anything sweet. She received her letter, and was immediately excited about going. She couldn't WAIT. She expected to be sorted into Slytherin, just like the ancient Morganzo's before her, like her dad, like her granddad. She made a few pals, but she knew that she would be a snake. She was wrong. VERY wrong. The hat had a battle with himself, and decided on, in the end, a RAVENCLAW. Elliot was disappointed. She cried(secretly..shhh) and her father was very angry.
