Professor Schirmer's Mailbox In the corridor outside of the Charms Office there is a small alcove where you'll find a drop box made of Impossibly marvellously and magically marbled metals. A slit in the front of the box is wide enough to drop a note or a letter through, but not wide enough to get a hand in, though it seems there is no other opening on the smooth metal. Quote:

Sierra strolled down the corridor, a piece of parchment already tucked into her hand. She'd changed her mind about this three different times on the way over, but now the door to Schirmer's office was lurking right in front of her, and it was almost like it was taunting her to come inside. She took a careful look down the corridor. She wasn't going to do this if there were people watching. Finally, she stuffed the piece of parchment into the slit of the mailbox and jerked her hand away so quickly you'd think she'd believed there was a grindylow inside. ...and now, it was time to wait. There, he had stayed up all night working on this six line of parchment the evil woman had assigned him. He hoped she was happy because he wasn't. He was tired and had to read through not one but three text books. He was sure he was done for the rest of the year. He dropped his assignment in the mailbox and quickly walked away.
