Gryffindor House Table
 

Large quantities of food are spread before you. Whether breakfast, lunch, or dinner, the Hogwarts' house elves are the best in the world. The food is superb and the company is as well.

The house poem, penned by All4oliverwood:

Get up off of your seats
Ready for some fun?
You ain't seen nothin' yet
For this years just begun
Friends are rollin' in
It's faces old and new
Nothing comes between us
Dear Gryffindors be true
Outside of the castle
Ready for things to fly
Lions are soaring strong
In a game that's do or die
On this autumn night
Near the crimson fireplace
Solid friendships forming
People so full of grace
Rockin' the competition
In a race for the house cup

Earning points to keep us up
Reeling for a win

Nessie looked around in wonder as she took in her new surroundings. This place is so huge and it is hard for her to get used to the castle. So much different from her parents townhouse on the outskirts of London. She looked around at the empty table full of food and decided to sit down for a bit.

Carson could hardly believe that this castle was even bigger than his dad said! He sat down at the table next to a girl (Nessie) "Hey there." He said

Sarah squatted down at the table and took the plate. She started to fill it with the goodies. Too hungry! she thought. As she loaded her plate, she noticed a first year. She smiled to herself. It wasn't long before when she had been sitting uncomfortably in the same place. She waved towards the boy. She got up and sat next to him. "Hi, I'm Sarah James, second year." she said, "You must be... a first year I guess?" she asked, still smiling.

Rose ran to the Table and sat down. She reached for some Quorn Rashers and started to eat.

"Hungry?" Lilly giggled.

The next place Elsie chose to explore was the Great Hall again. This time with less people in it, it felt even larger. She saw a couple gryffindors she recognised as first years and walked over to them.
"Hi I'm Elsie, we haven't met yet!"

Rose walked to the Lion Table and sat down. She dolloped some spaghetti onto her plate before becoming distracted. Over what? Nothing. She twiddled her spaghetti, without realising, looking into bare space.

Carson looked over at the girl (Elsie) That called him out. He swallowed the mutton he was chewing. "Oh, hey! I'm Carson."

"Hi Carson! Nice to meet you." Elsie sat down next to him assuming he wouldnt mind. "How has your first few days been? Mine have been great!"

When Ariadne sat at the Gryffindor table, she was surprised that almost all the faces there were new to her, except for Rose. The second year really wasn't in the mood to introduce herself and meet new people over a plate of sausages, so she remained isolated at a corner of the table, eating silently and raising her eyes from the plate to watch the staff table from time to time. Today everything seemed in order, no more dirty silverware, food as tasty as always. Still, there was something wrong with the house elves, and Ari wanted to find out what.Nevertheless, she had more pressing worries than that, because classes were about to begin and she had to get into bookworm mode and earn some points for them lions.

Sophie sat down at the table after a long day of lessons to eat dinner. She decided she would save a seat for Sage.

Nessie sat looking around in wonder. The ceiling showed the stars! She was so entranced with it that Nessie didn't notice when a boy sat next to her. This was unexpected to her since she knew no one yet. Nessie looked shyly at the boy who sat next to her. She blushed a deep red when he stated talking to her. "Hello, I - I'm Nessie Masen."

Ahh, there she was. Melina felt bad that she and Ari hadn't had any time to hang out on the train, but she knew she'd find her in the Great Hall.

She looked toward the Ravenclaw table, then back at the Gryffindor table. She probably should sit with her house. Ahh, phooey! She had all year to sit with them. She grabbed a pumpkin muffin and headed over to Ari's table.

As she drew closer, she noticed that Ari was sitting fairly secluded; she knew her friend was quiet in social situations, but this seemed extreme even for her. She looked almost worried about something.

Furrowing her brow, Melina squeezed past several breakfasting students and made a beeline for Ari. She flounced down in the seat next to her and wrapped her arms around Ari's shoulders. Flashing her a bubbly grin, she said, "Hey, lioness! What's shakin'?"

Adam hadn't had anything to eat yet, and he figured he could no longer ignore the noises that his stomach was making. With his Defense Against the Dark Arts textbook shoved under his arm Adam made his way into the Great Hall before taking a seat at his house table. Sitting down he pulled a sandwich off the plate in front of him, before pouring himself a goblet full of tea. He took a bite, and then a sip, his stomach already appreciating the gesture.

Cove walked into the great hall with her violin case in hand and looked at all the food on table! She was sooooooo HUNGRY! But as she looked for a seat she saw..... "ADAM!" She exclaimed and ran over to him. "Hi!" Cove waved at him. Smiling, she took a seat and pulled her music book out of her violin case. "How are you?" She asked grabbing a sandwich.

Nessie turned from Carson to see who was behind her. She smiled at the girl who introduced herself as Elsie.

"Hello I'm Nessie, it's great to meet you!"

"Nice to meet you Nessie." Elsie smiled at her as she took a apple from the table. "So are you enjoying everything so far? I am! Still so happy to be in Gryffindor!" Elsie took a bite of her apple, suddenly realising how hungry she was. She hadn't been eating as much as usual as she had been to busy exploring the castle and going to classes.

Nessie stared at Elsie's apple realizing she wanted one too. She quickly grabbed one from the bowl and took a bite out of it. After swallowing that first bite she answered.

"The year is going great so far! I've met so many people! How about you?"

Elsie finnished eating her apple. She still felt a bit hungry so took blueberry muffin and started to pick away at it.

"Yeah it has been fun!" Elsie thought of the exploring she had done already. And the good friends she had made. "I have met a lot of people too. But I need to meet more! Especially students from other houses." She realised she hadn't made any friends in Hufflepuff yet, that would be her new mission. “Are you missing home much?” Elsie thought of her parents for the first time since she had been at Hogwarts. She did miss them slightly but she was having so much fun here she had hardly noticed. She definitely wasn’t homesick.

Adam was mid bite into his sandwich when he heard someone call out his name rather excitedly. Turning his head to see who it was, Adam spotted Cove. Seeing as his teeth were midway through the sandwich he couldn't exactly stop, so he took a bite, giving Cove a grin as he chewed on his sandwich.

"Hey Cove," Adam said once he had finished chewing. "I'm doing pretty well, how are you doing?"

Adam took a swig of his drink before spotting Cove's violin case and book. So it looked like Hogwarts had a lot of musically inclined students: first Aurora and now Cove. "Have you been playing for a while?" Adam asked, inclining his head towards the case.

Cove smiled at Adam. "I'm very good thanks." She said.

"Yeah, I have. Almost as long as I've been surfing." She answered. "Do you play an intrument?" Cove wondered. There were lots of people around here who had hidden talents! She took a bite of her sandwich and almost fell in love with it. She was soooo HUNGRY! "Yummy." She smiled.

Tayla's eyes grew wide when she saw Ari. She missed her! Tayla quickly stood up and moved closer to where Ari was seated.

"Ari! Hi!" Tayla greeted, sitting down and hugging her friend. "How was your summer?"
