Misc. School Notes: Spent as much time in the dungeons as he did in the classroom, so it's a bit surprising to many that he actually graduated Hogwarts and managed to complete two university degrees all while playing Quidditch. If you look carefully in the corner of his office, you will find his favorite chair . . . the chair he spent many hours sitting in (which he took from the dungeons during his first term teaching). Personality: Max loves to have fun as much as he loves his wife and children, and Quidditch. He is a good-natured man, but he can't abide students/individuals who snap their fingers or are outright rude to him. Personal History: Max is the youngest child in the Vindictus family, and has a twin brother, Marcus Kostandin Vindictus, (who is 1 minute older than him), and an older brother, Rex Altair Vindictus. His father, Reginald Kostandin Vindictus (Reg is the only son of Swedish singing sensation [and one-hit wonder] Kajsa Regina Henriksson), a Durmstrang alumnus, was the head coach of the Vratsa Vultures for 45 years. Max’s mother, Maureen Fiona Vindictus, a Hogwarts alumnus, is a homemaker and a garden-design specialist. Brother Rex is the current Head of Magical Games and Sports in the Ministry of Magic, and twin brother Marcus is a Healer at St. Mungo's in the Artefact Accidents ward. When Max and Marcus were two years old, their older brother Rex decided to show the twins how to fly on their toy broomsticks and it was revealed that little Marcus was not gifted in the flying department (this incident explains why he currently lobbies for safer flying methods, including the use of a patented flying harness for broomsticks). However, little Max was a natural at flying and proceeded to break all vases in the house to his mother’s chagrin and his father’s delight. Childhood summers were spent with the entire Vindictus family visiting their Irish cousins (Maureen’s sister married a Shackleton) and traveling to watch Reginald train his Vratsa Vultures. At the age eleven, like hundreds of wizarding children before him, Max received his letter and arrived at Hogwarts. The Sorting Hat had an easy time placing him in Ravenclaw and the adventure began. During his first year, he became friends with Fabian Clark and Doyle Branxton. It was also during his first month at Hogwarts that he earned his very first detention with Valon Kazimeriz (he broke the man’s favorite teapot). It was the first of many detentions with Kazimeriz who seemed to appear wherever Max happened. His third year at Hogwarts saw Max make the starting Quidditch team, captained by his brother Rex, as a Beater. It was also during his third year that the infamous Vindictus broom-smashing incident in the Ravenclaw Common Room took place when the brothers got into a heated argument - look carefully, and you might find a large sliver of mahogany jutting out of a section of the stone wall to the right of the fireplace. He had to learn quickly how to balance homework, detention and practice, and became quite good at it. Whatever the strategy was, it seemed to work because Max earned 9 OWLs and 5 NEWTs before graduating from Hogwarts. Hours after graduation, Max tried out and made the reserve squad of the Heidelberg Harriers to the delight of his father. To appease his disapproving mother who told him to use his brain and get a degree, he enrolled in the local university and worked as a model for a German sportswear company so that he could pay the bills. Two years passed before Max finally made the starting squad as a Beater. From then on, the sky was the limit for Max who was considered one of the fiercest Beaters the sport had ever known. After twenty-two years of playing Quidditch and five Quidditch World Cup appearances for England, Max decided to hang up his bat and broom, and try something else less physical instead – he bought Quality Quidditch Supplies and decided to run the store on his own. He had only been in Diagon Alley for two years when one day, a nervous-looking Cassandra Rae-Branxton approached him and offered him the position of Flying Instructor and Quidditch Official at Hogwarts. At first, he thought that Doyle had put his wife up to playing a joke on him, but after a few uneasy moments of silence he realized she was serious and he accepted the job. Max's goal when accepting the Flying and Quidditch position at Hogwarts was to improve the flying skills of the students, reinforce safety when flying, teach them proper broomcare techniques, and to re-live flying history. Creative lessons have been the norm for him - from Creaothceann lessons with falling marshmallows and trying to fly on carpets to Quodpot and bashing pinatas. Even the final exams left some students with a healthy dose of respect for flying. Quidditch, however, has been his biggest challenge because the teams are always in a constant state of change. Max set forth the rules and enforced them. It's not uncommon for him to be seen watching team tryouts and practices, or pulling student-athletes to one side and making sure they were staying out of trouble and keeping their grades up. Same thing goes for the Ravenclaw students - Max is always keeping an eye out on his Ravenclaws, especially since becoming Head of House. |

Geoffrey had met Anneliese when she had traveled to London to take part in a play on the West End, and quickly fell in love with the beautiful young actress. Thankfully for him, she reciprocated, and they got married a year after they first met. She chose to settle in England for a while, not wanting her new husband to have to move just so she would be happy, and besides, she could find work just as easily there as she could back in New York. Anneliese got pregnant a few years after her marriage, and gave birth to her daughter in England. However, when Renée was four years old, her mother got the chance to star in a Broadway play, and since she was getting a little tired of England, Anneliese went to Geoffrey and asked if they could travel to America. He agreed, able to work for his publishing firm pretty much anywhere he needed to, and the small family moved to New York. Renée was placed in an exclusive school for young wizards and witches, once she turned six, where she managed to cultivate many of her skills and likes. Except for one; she had been born with predilection for the magical ability of Legilimency, passed down from her father's side, although he himself didn't have the skill, nor did her immediate grandparents. So she was essentially left on her own to figure out how to deal with it, which she managed to do through books. When she was 10 years old, her brother Sebastian was born, which Renée wasn't entirely sure about. Her parents, especially her mother, had been busy before, leaving her on her own a lot (although she had still developed a strong affection for them), and after her brother's birth, much of their attention shifted. And, considering she got her letter to Hogwarts a year after that, her own interaction with Sebastian was limited to school holidays and the like. Because of that, it almost made her relationsip with her brother like that of a cousin, or something similar. They’ve never been extremely close. At Hogwarts, Renée was sorted into Ravenclaw, which nobody really found strange, given her propensity of immersing herself in books when she wasn't trying to find ways to get into trouble. Using her legilimency, as well as the fact that nobody expected the little bookworm to be a troublemaker, she got away with most of the things she did. And the rest of her time was spent holed up in the common room, the library, or out in the grounds, writing short stories and other little fanciful things, when she wasn't doing homework or developing her burgeoning interest in divination as well as continuing to augment her knowledge about her ability. She did well on all her exams, getting 11 OWLs and 9 NEWTs, and transferred to Wizarding university, where she earned a degree in divination. After graduation, she chose to travel Europe for a while, visiting both Wizarding and Muggle museums, libraries, and other interesting places, learning more about her chosen subject and acquiring Anastasia in Russia. But when she turned twenty, her mother died in what was described as a freak accident at the theater she had been acting in, and Renée was forced to cut her travels short to return to New York and help her father and brother deal with the loss. Which was made more difficult due to the near-estranged relationship with her brother, but they managed to handle it as well as possible. While she was in New York, she acquired a job teaching divination at a fairly new Wizarding private school, as well as worked for a Wizarding library in the city and tutoring people on the side in her pet subjects. Any excess energy she had was channeled into writing, and she wrote her first novel at the age of 24, a Wizarding crime/mystery novel loosely based on the circumstances of her mother's death, which she believed to have been the result of a Killing Curse although she hasn’t deciphered the reason someone would murder her mother. She chose to seek out a publisher other than her father, as well as developed the loose pen name of Arabella Edwards, wanting to avoid accusations of nepotism, and after publication, her book became moderately successful. Enough that her publisher asked her to write more, making the book into the start of a series, based on the cases of her main character, Johanna Evans. She continued with her teaching position for three more years, before she decided she wanted to branch out again, get out of New York for a while. After making sure her little brother was doing well, having graduated and searching for his own career in New York, and her father was okay as well, she traveled back to England, packing up her belongings, as well as Anastasia and Bowie, who she had gotten shortly before. She moved into a little flat, writing her second book at the same time she was trying to send out feelers for another job. Though some classes didn’t really work with Jacob, he was still able to pass them, and later drop the courses that weren’t as well suited to his liking. Again he made the Quidditch team, but this year Jacob was put on as a beater, and Jacob found a place where he was able to vent the anger and stress of his daily routine. Jacob’s Fourth year was nothing special; he went through classes, and the days. But this term had given Jacob something to think about… He couldn’t survive without Quidditch. The Tri-Wizard Tournament was taking place, and the powers that be had decided that the tournament was more important than Quidditch. During the summer before his fifth year, Jacob received his supplies letter as normal, but in that letter from the school was also a Badge. He’d been made Ravenclaw Quidditch Captain. Something that several of his teammates had seen as a mistake on the Schools behalf, thinking that Jacob was incapable of the position. But out of the Four matches his team had played, they lost only one, a loss which they had made up for by beating the Badgers in a Rematch at the Championship match. It was Jacob’s first year as Captain and he’d won the Quidditch Cup for Ravenclaw. Background: Born on May 2, 2059, to Victor and Vivian Greenwell, Vashti never expected to find out that magic existed and that she could be a part of it all. She had two wonderful, but non-magical, parents, went to a non-magical school for years, and had many non-magical friends. But then it all changed the day she turned eleven, and a person showed up on her family’s doorstep with a letter saying that she had been accepted into a school called Hogwarts. After many hours’ worth of discussion, her parents gladly accepted the fact that she was a witch and agreed that it would be best for her to attend this “Hogwarts” place. All three agreed it would certainly be cheaper than sending her to the school they had been planning on. Though not exactly poor, they never did have a whole lot of money they could just throw around willy-nilly on things. Vashti’s first and second year went off pretty well, having not really been involved in the crazy “Fight Club” that affected the school in her first year, and became a huge Quidditch fanatic, even managing to join the team both years as a reserve. But with the start of her third year came a brand new stressful experience – just before her third year began, her father was diagnosed with a fatal brain tumor. Reluctantly, she went back to Hogwarts and was further disappointed in the cancellation of Quidditch for the Triwizard Tournament. She corresponded with her mother and father through owls when she could and went home every time they were off for a holiday break. Some days were more stressful than others, depending on whether her mum’s last letter said her dad was doing better or worse. She was ready to come home at the end of the year, but the day she got back became the worst day of her life: Just a few hours after she arrived at the hospital, her father passed away while both Vashti and her mum were in the room with him. It was a devastating blow to the Greenwell family, and they would never be the same. Victor’s death brought not only emotional stress, but financial as well. Vivian had to get a second job, and Vashti even took on a part-time job for awhile, to make ends meet. Whenever Vashti wasn’t working, she took care of their small house – cleaning, washing dishes, making the beds, all the little things like that so her mum wouldn’t have to worry about it when she got home after a long day at work. All this kept Vashti busy and nearly convinced her that she shouldn’t go back to Hogwarts for her fourth year – her mother needed her more than Hogwarts did, she reasoned. Her mother, however, did not agree to her quitting her education there, knowing her daughter would be better off getting away from all this. Vivian refused to let her go to a Muggle school and by the time the first of September rolled around, Vashti had reluctantly agreed to go back to Hogwarts, but only at the assurance that her mother would live at Aunt Grace’s, Vivian’s sister, house for awhile so she wouldn’t be alone. So fourth year began against Vashti’s wishes, but there was perhaps one good thing about this year – Quidditch was back. So, of course, Vashti tried out and was thrilled to find out she’d made the team again. Quidditch practices and games helped keep her mind off of other things, at least while they lasted, and gradually she began to not think about her father’s death or start crying as often as she had over the summer. Her once-positive and friendly personality continued to become prominent once again, especially so after Ravenclaw won the Championship Quidditch match. Jeanne Morgan is the only daughter of Mendel Inglebert Morgan and Helen Delacour- Morgan. They both went to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Mendel was sorted under the Ravenclaw house while Helen was sorted under Gryffindor. Mendel grew up as the brains of the family. Like his other brothers they were quite open-minded about the blood heritage of each witch and wizard. Helen Delacour also grew up being open-minded about the blood heritage of each person. She is the type of witch that doesn’t really get bother whether or not you’re pureblood or muggle born. The two first met at a Quidditch competition. Helen played as a seeker while Mendel was part of the crowd. When Helen got hurt in one of their games, Mendel was the one who took care of her. The two eventually got married a few years after they graduated and started working at the Ministry of Magic. The three Morgan brothers were very much close to each other except for their oldest sister, Mirabella. Mirabella was the only spoiled child of the Morgans. Beauxbaton Academy of Magic was a different school than Hogwarts thus, making Jeanne an outcast with the other students. A few fears sometimes get in the way failing, and not being good looking FURTHER MORE History Finlay was born into a very wealthy and sophisticated family, whom of course had many many secrets. In the days of Voldermort his Great Grandparents were interested in the cause, but not actively involved, thus allowing them to escape imprisonment in Azkaban. As the generations of Carmichael's moved down the purity of blood remained, but wasn't that essential, and the family is no longer pro pureblood, thus allowing Finlay to marry whoever he wants. Finlay has 4 siblings, twp older, and two younger, and his mother dotted on them a lot, spending most of her time with her children. This took its toll on the marriage of his parents. His father actively cheated on his mother, and although he never thought his mother knew, she did. His parents only stayed together for the sake of the children, and to stop people talking. Therefore the children grew up totally unaware of the tatter that was their parent’s relationship. Or so Finlay did until the age of 10, when he witnessed a very big argument between his parents, where he became aware of the infidelity. This had a pronounced affect upon Finn's life, and he generally finds commitment hard, choosing to break hearts instead; thus allowing him to have quite a different exterior to what he is actually like. Only close friends know who he really is, and even those do not know the extent of the secrecy that is occurring in his family. At a young age, due to the mixing of pureblood families, Finlay met Jimmy and the pair have been close friends ever since, and often spent the days when they were being home-schooled, fooling around in Diagon Alley. At the age of 14 his parents decided that he could go to Hogwarts...and so he is here...at hogwarts. His first year was quite exciting.He snogged a big number of girls, broke a couple up, and then fell for Lexi Denver. This lasted for about a year, and now the two have moved on. His sixth year was spent mostly flirting, and occasionally doing some prefect duties. He got onto the ravenclaw house quidditch team, and it was here that he decided that he really wanted to go Pro. So he really did focus the year on his quidditch, rather than his studies. Near the end of the year he starting having feelings for Marie Salazar. It seemed bad, as this was his best friends ex girlfriend, but he couldn’t stop himself, and the pair dated for the summer, before splitting up on the train ride back to school. Unfortunately due to his betrayal Finlay ended up losing Jimmy as his best friend. This kind of sucked for the guy as he’d been best friends with him for his whole life. Finlay tried to put this behins him, as he went for trials for the Montrose Magpies quidditch Team. She attended Muggle Elementary school, where it was first discovered that she had magical abilities. In the 1st grade, another girl made fun of her. She got so mad that she levitated a chalkboard eraser and chucked it at her head. Her parents were called into the principal's office immediately. Unfortunately, they had to withdraw her from the school. Her father took her under his wing, helping her to learn how to control her magic. He explained why she was special, and how she needed to keep that gift away from Muggles, who didn't understand it. The family moved to a large condominium in downtown London when Melina was 8, due to the fact that Millicent received a promotion at the United Nations and was made a Mediator for countries in disagreement. It had been a hard pregnancy and Olivia Di Marco had been an exceptionally fragile woman who hadn't been able to survive the birth of her twins. Overcome with grief, Guido Di Marco, Ryden's father, decided to leave their home in Italy and moved the family to South Africa, where he quickly rose to success as the head of a law firm in Johannesburg. The two girls had more money than they needed at that young age but no parent figure and so Ryden spent the first eleven years of her life growing up with nannies, having fun with Bridget at getting them all fired. She would be the mastermind behind most of the plots, while Idge would insert the nastier parts and actually carry them out. The fall of their twelfth year, Ryden and Bridget began attending a magical boarding school and even before the end of their first year it became obvious that the two desperately needed to be separated. Their father, more annoyed than angry with the girls’ behavior, sent Bridget (the slightly less clever of the two) to a stricter school all the way in Italy, leaving both girls miserable and out to seek revenge. But nothing they did got past their father and little by little, they grew used to the separation, even becoming friends with other people in their classes. So Ryden spent her years in South Africa while her sister lived in Italy with their grandparents, and while the brunette loved school (well, mostly... there were incidents, occasional things that would shake her but she's never told anyone and she never will) and she adored Johannesburg, she couldn’t help but feel bitter towards Father for not only separating her from her sister but also from cutting off all family ties too, since he was never home and now people preferred to visit Bridget in Italy, since she was closer. During her third year of magical school, Ryden took matters into her own hands and became even more of a devil than before, vandalizing and ruining school property, bullying, stealing and cheating on exams not because she needed to do any of those things, but because she wanted to get her father’s attention. Eventually, the school kicked her out and her father was left to decide what to do with his problematic girl. Sending her to join Bridget in Italy was obviously out of the question, but there was always their mother’s former school. With lots of kicking and screaming, Ryden was sent to live with her aunt for the remainder of the year in Liverpool, and during the next school semester would attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Personality:To the outside world, Ryden shows a tough exterior. She’s brutal with her words, harsh with her actions and doesn’t care at all what other people think. One of her main traits is her unruly temper, which flies out of control at the littlest thing. As a teenager with some major problems, Ryden experiences terrible mood swings that can leave her completely normal one minute and barking mad (aka fuming at everyone) the next. The only person she truly cares for is Bridget, who’s almost identical to her, and who lives in Italy, which means that sometimes she will take out her frustrations on innocent victims just because she can. Incidentally, some of these frustrations originate from Bridget herself. Due to the fact that her allowance (which her father didn’t close, on account that he’s quite a show off character himself and wants everybody to know that he’s so successful, his daughters can both buy yachts and still have some money left) is monstrous in size, she’s never had to beg or want anything that she couldn’t have, resulting in both her and her twin’s spoiled natures only that, unlike Ryden, Bridget is just a little bit nicer about it, and is aware that she’s spoiled. However, in reality, if there's one thing that Ryden isn't, it's heartless. A little paranoid at times and a firm believer in the gut instinct, she's never one to trust easily and will always and forever be suspicious of the people around her unless she truly feels that they're trustworthy. And that doesn't really occur very often, as she doesn't even fully feel that way about Bridget. She pays more attention and feels a lot more than she will ever let on. Quite the little hypocrite, she will always think she's right at the end of the day, but will still care for other people's opinions, even if she goes about it with rudeness. With a photographic memory and much talent with academics and sports, the brunette genuinely sometimes wishes that she could just reinvent herself, reinvent her life and start over. But then she remembers that if she did so, it would be like caving to her Father, caving to his demands, and she flat out refuses to do that. Almost as stubborn as she is clever, Ryden cannot bear for anyone else to be right but her. She claimed to be Beth's first cousin, Skye. After weeks of meetings and form fillings, they agreed to let Skye be Beth's guardian when she showed them proof from Noreen's will. So Skye took her back to Ireland and told her she was a witch, and had missed her first three years at Hogwarts. So Beth started Hogwarts, aged thirteen and three quarters, and is still there now. |
