For a fleeting moment, he thought Michael was joking. Then, when he saw that the Hufflepuff had brought a bag of actual fishing gear with him, his hands drifted toward his pockets and he rocked back on his heels.

"Perhaps," he conceded after a long and thoughtful pause. "Perhaps that would be fun."

He tilted his head toward the gear. "Pick it up and follow me outside to the grounds, please. I would like to make a stop before we fish in the lake."

That was where they would be fishing, correct? Regardless, Ikenna pivoted on his heel and started outside.

getting the bag and tossing it over his shoulder he starts to whistle the tune to the Andy Griffin show as he followes the big man out of the castle

"You can go if you want, but I'm going to ask either the head or Gevrik about that book. So you can help me explain it, or I'll see you in the common room." Emily told her. She was not being mean in saying this. It was either something or it wasn't. They would tell her if it was! Either way Emily was staying, with or without Nika.

Nika didn't want to leave Emily, but she was sure they were just making a big deal over nothing. "Anyways I don't really think that they would be much help. I think we are better off asking the librarian. I mean the library is her specialty, is it not?

Jake watched as the girls nearby conversed and for one fleeting moment, he froze when he thought they were going to go see Tate rather than Gevrik (it seemed they were there for him in the first place). That might have meant that, even though they were switching 'targets' they were still here first and Jake may have to wait longer.

No.

He couldn't have that.

But it didn't matter; they appeared to want to go see the librarian, an obscure figure to Jake he'd only seen out of the corners of his eyes at feasts. But anyway... he was still first... and all the better, because he NEEDED to tell Tate about Lafay. He turned to the gargoyle and spoke again.

"Kinda really important."

Cassirin 02-17-2011 11:59 PM

"What is?" Tate actually appeared from the hallway, coming from the Potions classroom, and he overheard Upstead talking to the gargoyles.

That was a strange young man.

"Who's up next?"

Ah.

"Me," Jake said at the man's question.

Oh. Wait...

Not as important. Eh, never mind.

Jake readjusted his bag on his shoulder and looked at the man with what was now a SLIGHTLY calmer expression. Potions was probably over by now, but that had really only given time for his irritation to fester.

Cassirin 02-18-2011 05:02 AM

"Ah." It seemed he was doomed to repeat visitors from a series of seventh years, but Tate had some free time at the moment - he wasn't overly concerned by Upstead's reappearance.

"Well then... after you." He gestured toward the stairs.

ooc: You can post in the office.

Ellie walked down the hall and found herself face to face with the giant Gargoyles. Scarier in person. She'd never been to the Headmaster's office before.Never spoken a single word to the Headmaster. Never been within four feet of the man. Better late than never, right? Right.

In all honesty, she had no idea what to do. She needed a password right? But she didn't have one. If she spoke, could Tate hear her...? Or would she just look like an idiot..?

"Er... Headmaster..? She asked hesitantly.

Yeah, she definitely looked like an idiot.

Michael White 03-01-2011 12:31 AM

walking up and grabbing his normal spot but this time he would go see the headmaster not Garlic, looking to the gargoyls " hey guys do yall know if the headmaster is around "

Cassirin 03-01-2011 04:19 AM

The gargoyle sprang to the side at the direction of the Headmaster in his office.

ooc: Whoever is next can go ahead and post in my office. Be orderly!

BillyR 03-03-2011 10:45 AM

Cass was coming to see the Headmaster after talking to his Head of House about a question he had, and she felt the Headmaster was the right one to ask about it. As he approached the two gargoyles, he looked around the area to see who else may be there. It was also a habit he had developed over the years of training under his mother and her teachers and one he did not plan on stopping.

Speaking to the Gargoyles, "Cass Sato-Rhodes to see the Headmaster." And then taking a seat to wait. All the while listening and looking around, it was also his first time to come to the Headmasters office for any reason in his two years here.

Hera 03-14-2011 05:14 AM

Emily had run across the grounds and through the castle... coming to a stop out the front of the Headmasters office she glared at the gargoyles.
"I have an emergency, I need to speak to the headmaster now!" she yelled. She was becoming frantic.
"Its really important! It concerns our safety!"

After waiting some minutes Emily decided the matter was too urgent and went in search of other teachers... at this stage any adult would be sufficient.
She raced away, hoping perhaps Kyle had found some help by now.

Perhaps she'd go back to the front gate, make sure the muggles didn;t get passed K-lee.

sarahlooo 03-14-2011 08:36 PM

Ellie sprinted up to the Gargoyles. There was no time to waste.

"Headmaster! Tate! Hurry up!" She yelled frantically. No time for manners either, apparently.

"Sir, there's muggles on the grounds! It's kind of... bad." She continued loudly, not even sure if he could hear her.

So Ellie stood there, waiting. Hopefully he was in there.

itsjustjesse 03-14-2011 11:39 PM

Kyle saw Ellie standing there, and ran over, "Tate's at the ministry party." She informed her, feeling lackluster about that fact she'd rather be here anyday but honestly - being stuck celebrating a man she didn't know wasn't something she wanted to do.

She thought, gritting her teeth. Then, she looked sighed, "Who's the deputy headmaster" she asked, needing the information hopefully they weren't gone too!

sarahlooo 03-15-2011 12:03 AM

OHRIGHT. Ellie sighed, frustrated. She cursed under her breath. Deputy Headmaster? I have no idea... Are all of the staff at the party? Or just Tate?" She asked. What a baaad time to be gone!

Or maybe they planned this as a prank.... HAH, right.

itsjustjesse 03-15-2011 12:05 AM

"There are ten professor's here." Kyle explained, "Professor Zookara's on his way, Professor Lafay's gone so they won't get frightened but she did have the potions for muggles club...we could get their help - you know if someone gets hurt that is."

Then it came to her, "Isn't there a potion that makes you forget things?" She questioned - its not really magic well it was but it didn't prove magic existed it just made you feel like you were in a dream-state right? She pondered.

Ellie nodded, reassured that at least one professor was on his way. It was about time.

"I don't know about a potion... Ellie was always terrible at potions. "But there's the spell Obliviate. That'll wipe their memory of what they've seen..." She told Kyle.

itsjustjesse 03-15-2011 12:11 AM

"But we can't use magic," Kyle sighed if they could a stunning spell would be amazing. She sighed, "Anyways, the statute of secrecy and all we even have to keep them outside." She informed still very much ticked at the entire situation.

Leave the school unguarded and take the wards down - brilliant.

SilverTiger 03-15-2011 12:17 AM

*invading just 'cause I can* Plus, to help you both out.

Renée had been unsure about what they were expected to do while the delegation was off at the party. She was thinking of the group as that just to ease her mind about what was going on, but there was still an uneasy feeling in the back of her mind when it came to the whole situation. She knew Tate would want them to continue like business as usual, though, so she was trying to do that. If only she hadn't continually been distracted by the weather and her thoughts, keeping her from working.

Instead, she decided to do some more wandering. Perhaps see if she could get some treats from the kitchen. Sugar would help her feel better, and she still had to admit Gevrik being off at the party had cleared the air just the tiniest bit. However, as she arrived on the second floor, she saw two Ravenclaws at the gargoyles blocking the entrance to Tate's office, and she paused long enough to hear their conversation. Muggles in the grounds? That was never good, since it meant the wards were down. "Professor Vindictus is deputy headmaster," she offered, stepping closer. "And no, he shouldn't be at the party . . . How bad is it?," she added. Not that she could do much, but she imagined she had a bit more practice dealing with Muggles than others. New Yorkers were especially rude half of the time, so any Muggle interlopers here should be easy. "I doubt you could get them to take a potion anyway, and we definitely can't use memory charms." No, they were on their own, but at least it seemed they knew there was staff available.

itsjustjesse 03-15-2011 12:33 AM

Kyle heard Professor Bishop answer, and felt utterly relieved. "Well, there are muggles on the grounds they just walked through the school gates there are a bunch of students out there keeping an eye on them. Professor Zookara's on the way." She smiled, thankful she'd been spotted by a teacher at least.

"I think someone left the school's wards down - and forgot to lock the front gate." She exclaimed, biting her lip.

sarahlooo 03-15-2011 12:40 AM

"But how did they get here? Wouldn't they have had to go through the Platform 9 and 3/4?" That was the part that really bothered Ellie. Didn't they have to be magic-folk to get onto the platform?

This was baaad.

itsjustjesse 03-15-2011 12:49 AM

"I have no idea - probably walked very-very-very far." Kyle thought wondering herself how on earth they'd managed it. They were in the middle of no where in a valley that was pretty much known for its impenetrable terrain. Muggle airplanes maybe? she thought, maybe one crashed she had no idea.

Note to self, ask them how they got here.

potterfan180 03-15-2011 01:24 AM

Halle stopped infront of the gargoyles. It wasnt something completely important, but she wanted permission to take photos of the grounds and to maybe have some type of art club (she wasn't really sure if there was one or not or if they were aloud), even if not the club she hoped to be able to take pictures of the scenery. The trees by the lake were magnificiant, they would make good black and white prints. She took a deep breath and waited by the wall, out of the way of other people. Her camera was hooked around her neck and her binder of photographs were in her shoulder bag. She took another deep breath closed her eyes and hoped.
