The Playing Field This large piece of land resembles somewhat of those muggle football (soccer) fields. Feel like playing a game with some friends? Go on and borrow some equipment from Mr. Stryker and play! Anything can be played on this field. |
Carter practically ran straight from his room down to the field when he heard the good news. That's right. Hogwarts was the proud owner of football fields! As soon as he arrived he kicked off his shoes and began kicking his ball up the field. This was nice and reminded him a lot of home. Football had always been the one thing that made him completely focused. Well, football and quidditch. But it wasn't quite quidditch season and who was to say he'd even make the team again? It had been over a year since he was last on a broom. But all that didn't matter right then. All that mattered to him was the soft ground under his feet. |
Upon his inspection of the grounds to make sure that everything was in place, Chad noticed that there was already a student playing on the playing field. How cool! He diverted and made his way onto the fields. "How is the grass," he called out, chuckling at his own little pun. Would anyone ever get it? He didn't know, but he didn't care. |
Nai, as always, went on an exploration. The school always changed and she was anxois to see what was out this year. Luckily she had worn her sensible shoes, none squeaky and good for sleuthing, and as it would turn out good for running on a field, most importantly a football field! Nai took off! Football was one of her favourite sports, she'd never admit it, but she wasn't very fond of Quidditch, mostly because she wasn't that big and always lost to her cousins. Football was however her forte. This was awesome. She stopped midrun causing a little stumble and grinned at Mr. Stryker. "This is awesome!" When was the sun gonna come up? Early morning football was the plan! "Where are the balls?" She bounced slightly excited and completely ticked that she didn't have time to run alllll the way to the dungeons to change then aaalll the way back. Oh there they are. "Can we have a match?" Oh she was off alright, could she be captain? Could she organize a day of play? How awesome would that be?! |

Who would care how the grass was? He turned to see who was addressing him. Ah yes. The new groundskeeper. Just the person to care about the grass. Was that a chuckle? It couldn't have been. Carter knew he was nowhere near his former level of playing, but he certainly wasn't humorous to watch. Was he? "It's brilliant." he said with a small smile. Then he picked up the ball and began bouncing it on his knees. Quote:
He allowed the ball to fall to the ground. Then he kicked it over. "I'm Carter by the way." |
Isobel was wandering around outside when she saw a soccer field! Or, football, as these people called it. She thought it was weird, football was with a...football, and field goals and stuff like that. ANYWHO...Isobel saw two people playing, and one person standing by. She had seen him at the feast and recognized him as the groundskeeper, she didn't know his name. But at least she knew who she was, that was a start. "Hello," she said brightly to him with a smile. "My name is Isobel Vanhue." Pronounced Eye-so-bell. Yeah. Isobel turned to the two people who were playing. "Mind if I join in?" she asked. |

Cora walked onto the feild and saw everyone, "c-ca-can i p-p-play please?" she asked shyly, she loved muggle sports but she hardly got to play them as she was pureblood and this was a good chance to finally play again. |

Being polite, Chad waved to the new students that had just shown up. |
Carter Marie had decided to take a walk of the grounds to see if there was anything new and exciting this year. She still had time to explore before she went to meet her friends... and hopefully Jimmy too for lunch. She had heard there was a football type field so she thought she would go check that out. Maybe if she was lucky she would find Evan and finally be able to let him know what a jerk he was being for the way he ignored her at the feast. Seriously, being prefect was really going to his head. Sitting right across from her talking to Sierra acting like he didn't even see her or hear her... even after she spoke directly to him. Yeah he was so getting a thump on the head for this one. Prefect or not. Finally reaching the field she seen a blonde with a football. A blonde who wasn't Evan though. No, this one was Carter... and he wasn't alone. Well now, this was awkward. She wanted to hang around a bit to see if Evan would show up, yet at the same time she wanted to leave. Sure Carter had tried to talk to her over the summer in Diagon Alley but she had a feeling that was only because Mina was sitting there with her. If she would have been alone or with any of her other friends he would have totally ignored her, just like he did last term. Oh well, it's not like she was here to see him anyway so who cared if he ignored her now. Finding a comfy looking area off to the side of the field she sat down on the grass. Yes, Marie was going to wait a bit to see if Evan would show up |

"What's your name?" he asked. Quote:
Carter however had a sneaking suspicion he hadn't kicked the ball but accidentally walked into it. Quote:
Then, realizing how silly it would be to ignore her he decided to wave. He lifted up a hand timidly and waved it a little. "Hey. You wanna play too?" he asked. She decided to sit for reason... maybe she was checking to see if it was alright before joining in... |
Katie smiled as she walked on to the field, SHINEY! :x3: Kati could see something shiney and when she sees something shiney she must have a closer look at it, she looked at the ground to see a, a, A SHINEY piece of.. plastic  She eyed it and then looked up, maybe she could play, "Hulloooo, Can I play? Katelyn Star's the name, call me Katie" |

Had the boy gone mad? Surely he remembered that she had no clue how to play that game. Okay well maybe she knew a little. After all Evan did try teaching her and they did learn about it in Muggle Studies. Still, she wasn't no where near good enough to even try to play a real game or whatever it is they were gonna do. "Uh, no, I think I'll just stay over here." She called back as she lent back on her hands and watched what was going on. Hmm, maybe this year would be different. Maybe Carter really was done ignoring her. And if not, well she wasn't going to stress over it anymore. She had moved on in her life and wasn't going to let anything bring her down this year. |

Nai grinned at the other girls waving to them. It seemed there were already more girls on the field than boys, proving that girls were way better.. ugh but could these girls play? She'd been playing with her siblings ever since she could walk and she'd been very competitive even when her stubby legs could hardly carry her. "Hey, everyone here can play right? We could have a friendly match or something." She smiled up at the groundskeeper, ah yes names were needed "I'm Nai and that's," She pointed at Carter "Carter by the way," She grinned and turned to the newest arrival "And now we have Katie, what are you guys' names?" She addressed the other two girls. |

She walked over to him hoping she was right about assuming he was the groundskeeper. "Um excuse me sir. May I ask what are we suppose to do on this field?" she said looking curious. |
SPOILER!!: Carter and Naiomi and Katie! "My name is Isobel," Isobel told Naiomi...and whoever else wanted to know. Pronounced Eye-so-bell. "Nice to meet you Naiomi and..." she realized that she didn't know the boys name. "What i your name?" He kicked the ball to her and she dribbled it a little. She even bounced it off her feet and bounced it up and down on her knees. Yeah, she was a show-off, so what? Isobel kicked it over to Naiomi when she heard a familiar voice. It was "Hi Katie," Isobel greeted. Now that she saw Katie for the second time, she realized that she looked a lot like Isobel herself. (We have the same model ) But Isobel's hair was slightly longer. She adressed her next question to the group as a whole. "Are you all very familiar with soccer...er, football?" They called it football here right? |
Caroline had noticed this big playing field this morning when she looked out a window passing the halls on the to breakfast. by the time she finished, and headed down that way there were other kids who had found the new hangout place as well. She watched as they were talking about starting a match. |
Evan was pacing the grounds on his first day of school, trying to figure out what was new this year. There was something new every year, and it was like a game trying to guess what. As he was endeavouring to find what was new, he came to a place which made his heart stop. He gasped for air as his brain tried to process what he was looking at. He finally got what he was looking at: a football field. In Hogwarts. A football field!!!11!1!!!11 Rushing to it, he kicked down his coat and just ran the length of it, not looking at the faces. He didn't care who was here, he didn't care if anyone thought he was crazy. Because he was crazy, over football, and having the opportunity to play it at a magical school was... "MAGIC!!" Taking a full tour around the field freely, at full gallop, the blond boy finally came to a halt, panting heavily. He wasn't tired at all, he just wanted to play some football. With his cheeks deep red, he went over Chad Stryker, whose name he'd just heard while he was talking to another student, and said "May I get a ball too?" He didn't look at that student he was talking to, nor did he notice the man was not the same as last year. He just wanted a ball and finally play. |

Evan... just the person she had been hoping to see. The very person who once again didn't see her, or if he did he did a good job of ignoring her... again. She knew that the boy loved football but geez, even Carter, the very person who avoided her for a whole term acknowledged that she was there. She should have stuck out her foot and tripped him when he was running past her. Maybe then he would have seen her. For now though she would let him play but once he was done she WOULD be talking to him. Even if she had to incarcerous him to make him stop and listen to her. One way or another that boy was going to talk to her. |
