"thats good i like the sound of the guitar sometimes better the piano" He laughed slightly "to me the piano sometimes sounds depressing but the guitar sounds more lively and feels one with more energy." Kim stared at the ground he hoped he didn't sound weird.

Justin nodded in agreement. "Exactly. But I guess it depends on your style of music as to what instrument you play. Guitar is something that's caught my attention ever since I learnt to talk" he explained. He and Kim appeared to have hit it off quite well. They had found something in common. Music. And music made for some great conversation.

Kim thought Justin was pretty cool he was happy to think they might become friends "So Justin I want to hear you play. Is that okay?"

Justin smiled and nodded. "Sure" he replied. Taking his guitar pick from out of his pocket and picking his guitar up from on the floor, Justin decided on what song to play in his mind. It wasn't a well known song. Nor had it ever been heard by anyone. It was a song he'd written himself. Justin began strumming on the strings, the sound coming out perfectly. Well he had played that song about 100 times so it should've been pretty good.

Finishing the song, Justin looked up at Kim with a hopeful look on his features. "What do you think?" he asked.

While Justin played Kim's mind went at ease. Once Justin finished Kim was a little sad he really liked it " Well I loved it, it was really good. Your very talented may I ask the name of the song?"

Justin smiled. "Thanks" he replied. He hadn't really thought of a name for the song. But he soon would think of a name. It seemed rather a mellow song so he hoped that would help him come up with a name for the song. "I haven't really got a name for it yet, but it's based on some real life stuff so I guess that makes it harder for me to come up with a name for it" he explained.

"I see you got a interesting point there and your welcome" Kim thought maybe he should play his violin for Justin "Would you like to play you a song on my violin Justin to return the favor of you playing me a song."

Justin smiled. "I guess so. I mean, it depends on the person as to how difficult they find it to name a song or anything in that sense" he replied. Then he offered to play his violin. That sounding like a good idea. "Sounds good to me" he replied. Although Kim didn't have to if he didn't want to, but he seemed to want to and Justin was happy to listen to him play.

Kim slowly rose he took out his wand and pointed it outward saying "accio.. my violin" A few seconds later his violin floated up to him he loved his violin so much he place it up to his neck and took the bow and started to play the song Kim hoped to impress Justin with his music. He kept is tempo in line with his breathing so that he didn't mess up.

Justin listened to Kim play his song. His jaw hit the ground. W.O.W! "How do explain how amazing that was without using the word amazing? Or I can just say that was absolutely immaculate. Wow!" he said. Even he'd never be able to play any instrument like that.

Kim couldnt help but giggle "thank you, tho its not my best but I am happy you liked it" Kim gave a kind smile to Justin and sat back down and relaxed "May I ask what year you are Justin I am quite curious"

Justin smiled. "You're welcome" he praised. It really was amazing. "I'm in fifth year. What about you?" he replied. He too was curious. Kim appeared to be slightly older than him and that made him all the more curious.

"Fifth year I thought you were the same year as me I'm a Sixth Year" Kim lightly stated with a smile at Justin.

Perhaps she wouldn't come? Alex frowned slightly looking down the corridor. She wasn't there! He might just go sulk in the Common Room and never set his foot outside it again, or go ask the squid in the lake if it wanted some company because he would never talk to anyone again. EVER! He liked being dramatic, and Ellie rejecting him definitely made him overdramatic. Just when he was about to slump his shoulders and return to the Common Room he heard and felt a whisper near his ear. It was Ellie! He knew it from the hands over his eyes and from the whisper. It was definitely Ellie. "Hm I don't know..." he mused. "My date with Emma isn't until tomorrow night so this must be Ellie?" he said feeling a wicked smirk tug at the corner of his lips before he removed her hands and spun around.

IT WAS ELLIE!

Alright so he already knew that but still a wave of joy shot through his body. She was there! Looking as pretty as always, of course.

Cue nervousness.

Her evil smirk faded, though she knew he was kidding about the date with Emma. Wait, he was kidding right..? Ellie put on her best I'm-mad-at-you face and punched him lightly in the back. "You little punk." She said glaring at the back of his head.

When he turned around their eyes locked and Ellie felt a jolt of electricity run through her heart. Her I'm-mad-at-you face soon disappeared and turned into a happy smile. "Hey you." She said. Profound.

Finlay laughed, pulling her closer to his side, and wrapping his arm around her shoulders. "Oh... right. No problems at all." He would be lying if he denied that he hated having his ego fed. He loved it, hence why he made sure it was adequately fed every single day. Finlay was just epically vain like that, but everyone loved him for it. Of course they did. He smiled at her. "Shall we go somewhere else now?" Because he was kind of bored of standing on this corridor now.

Justin shrugged. "So I look older than I am? Is that a good thing?" he inquired. He was very questioning today. It was wierd. He'd never been so inquisitive before but he felt it was a good thing. Asking questions got answers and answers meant understanding.

Alex chuckled, he was noo puunk. Alright perhaps just a very good looking punk then. She smiiiled. Oh man, now he had to smile back. As long as he didn't get a dreamy face and you know drooled a little puddle by his feet he would be okay.

"Hey you." he smiled. Suddenly he got extremely nervous, he was never nervous! He had no idea what to do, suddenly his planning of the date looked very silly. Ugh, he needed a better plan! S.O.S Maydaaay! But he couldn't blow it off. He wanted a shot with her. Internal sigh.

"Um, so how are you? How's... school?" Hold on, hold on. He asked her about school?! They were on a date and he asked her to talk about the most boring subject of all times; School. Great. Kill him, kill him now.

It looked like Alex was having an internal fit, but Ellie just smiled at him. It was cute. Then he asked her about... School? Hmm. Not exactly what she had in mind as a date opener, but she laughed lightly. She looked down at her hands and twirled her snake ring. "Well uh... I've already got one Professor to hate me." One down, six to go. "But other than that it's great." She chuckled. She looked back up at Alex. "And you?" She smiled again.

"Ahh, I see. Personally I'm glad I'm in the basement," Alex said with a small chuckle. Although, the thought of living in the basement had really scared him at first. Cause it was in a BASEMENT. Basements were always scary and didn't have any windows! But really, it wasn't that bad. It was only like...a half basement. And the kitchens were nearby! YUM!

"Umm, I'm not quite sure. Pretty much all of them," he said with a smile. "I've already been to potions...that one was HARD," he added. So being a healer was probably out of the question.

Faacepalm!

Alex chuckled nervously and scratched his neck, she had already gotten one teacher to hate her and he was bringing that up. What a way to ruin the mood, Reed. Way to go. "Oh yeah right, the uh, Charms professor." He couldn't pronounce his name, teheh. But don't tell the prof that. "Oh you know, school is school." he cringed slightly with a playful grin.

Honestly, Alex didn't want to leave the corridor. Because leaving the corridor meant they had to start the official date and Ellie would see what he had planned for them... She would laugh at his silliness and he would die. Not a very promisin evening at all. Oh well, it was all or nothing.

So here goes nothing.

Loosing up some he smiled warmly and let his arm drop around her shoulders casually, like it was the most natural thing in the world. Even though their contact gave him shivers. "So how have you been?" he asked her looking down at her with a small smile as he started to walk down the corridor.

That was also a lame question. It hadn't even been long since they'd met each other. Couldn't Ellie see how lame he was? He really hoped not.

Ellie frowned at the memory. "Yep. Descoteaux isn't so fond of me." She said with a shrug. Then again, she wasn't having the best of days that day. Ellie nodded awkwardly. "Heh, yeah. School..."

Does someone have an "idiot" stamp? Please dip it in permanent ink and smack it on Ellie's forhead. She wondered what Alex had planned for their date and hoped it wouldn't be as awkward as she just made it.

She felt Alex drape his arm around his shoulders and she blushed slightly. She comfortably wrapped her arm around his waist as they began walking down the corridor. It just felt right to her. At that moment, Ellie loved arms. Arms were meant to wrap around other people. And that's what they were doing. She smiled up at Alex. "Well to be honest, today kinda sucked. But I'm good now that I'm here with you." She said, telling the truth. She wouldn't have it any other way.

Alex smiled to himself but didn't pull away like he felt the urge to. He desperately needed to dance a happy dance. Like right now. She said she was good because she was with him.

He needed to daance!

Maybe just some movements with his hips would do the trick. He moved his hips a little but that made him walk like a girly girl, so he stopped hoping Ellie hadn't noticed.

"Then I'm good too for making you feel good." he chuckled low. Whyyy did today suck? He wanted to ask her, should he ask her? Would she think he was caring or would she think he was ruining the mood by bringing up something that sucked? Oh man, decisions, decisions. "Then we have to make it less suck-ish." he winked. He'd do his best.

"Well I guess it could be, I hope i didn't mean to insult you" Kim seemed to rabble on and on making no sense he felt as if he insulted Justin and he was really nervous he didn't mean to.

She felt Alex's hip bump against hers a couple times. Was it on purpose? He was smiling... "What was that?" She asked, laughing. She bumped his hip back with hers.

She wasn't sure if he would ask why her day sucked. She didn't mind either way, if he did or didn't. She liked talking to him about anything. But he didn't ask. "Less suck-ish. Sounds like a good idea." She said with a smile. "So, Mr. Reed. What do you have planned for us today?" She asked with an excited smile.

He had finally done it.

Patroclus had finally tried out for the Gryffindor team, it had only taken him what five years to do it.

"Thanks heaps man," Patroclus grinned as he climbed the final step that ended on the seventh floor. "But I must appear amatuer next you, you were killing it!" It was true Carter was awesome and Patroclus had never really given him the credit he deserved, "You will be on the team for sure!"

Softly pulling his shirt, Patroclus puffed air onto his chest, flying was easy, it was the stress that had made him break a sweat, " Yeah, things have been pretty cruisy. Well besides the badge, it has been a rather great start to the term." It had been a few weeks since the boys had caught up in Diagon Alley, and quite a few things had happened, "What about you? Dealing with everything OK?"

It would have to be hard...Evelyn and Patroclus had never been anything more than friends, but still seeing her at first with Josh, had well sucked, Marie and Carter, well they had been together.....well forever.

Alex glanced down at Ellie, slightly horrified. "What was what?" he asked trying to sound natural and not like he just had been caught swinging his hips...

He looked down at her with a smile and saw that she was excited. Oh man. She would be so totally disappointed. Could he make up a new plan in his head while they were walking? Like take a quick turn to the Room of Requirements? He could always trust the room to come up with something, but they had already passed it and it would be weird if he turned around. Oh man, oh man! "It's a... Um..." Blink, blink. "It's a surprise." he said, yes that sounded good. Now would he go through with it? Ugh, he didn't want to be laughed at. "Why don't you guess?" he smirked wiggling his eyebrows at her. Come on, give him some ideas.

Luna walked down the corridor. She was heading back to the Common Room but she didn't feel like just sitting down and relaxing. She had just gotten back into the routine of the classes and exploding a few thing with her wand. She giggled at the thought.

Katie walked along the corridor, la la la la :music: Yup Katie was happy like always, hehe, NOO! Katie was shocked as she suddenly banged into someone, on noes! "Sorry! Are you hurt? Do you need to go to the nurse? I am so sorry!" She said, Katie wasn't used to banging into people since she hadn't banged into someone in a awhile, "I'm Katelyn Star by the way, but you can call me Katie, everyone does" Katie said smiling, maybe she could make friends with this person? :D

Luna almost lost her balance as someone bumped into her. She could hear the girl freaking out and apologising. "Don't worry about it," Luna smiled. "Hi Katie, I'm Luna Star, second year Ravvie," she introduced. Huh funny they both had the same last name.

Thats all Katie could think of, well not including the fact she was thinking 'OHMYGOSH WE HAVE THE SAME LAST NAME?!??! WHATS UP WITH THAT ARE WE RELATED??!?!' But other then that she was thinking the dots, "Umm, are we related or something?" She asked, pathetic, really, worst question Katie could have asked, but it just popped in her head so yeah!

Luna tried to think. It had to be someone on her Dad's side. Her Dad did have one brother, but Luna could only remember going to visit when she was young. Yes! She did remember a cousin Katelyn. "I think we're cousins," Luna said. AWKward! "Actually, I'm sure we're cousins I can remeber you" she said.

Flash backs flashed before her eyes, she did know this girl, not well though, they were cousins, yes cousins, "But my dads a muggle and so was his brother, that would mean that you should be muggle, unless your mother is a witch, or your muggleborn" She said, it all was clear now, YAY! :D

"Well, I am Muggle-born since I am at Hogwarts," she said. "This is cool!" was all she could say.

Ellie snorted. What was what? He knew exactly what. "Oh, don't pretend like you didn't just swing your hips at me. You're a bad liar." She smirked and bumped his hip again.

Hmm, what should she guess? Ellie pursed her lips. "Scuba-diving in the black lake? Going to have a friendly chat with some centaurs in the forest? We may even run into some vampires, if we're lucky." She teased. She honestly had no idea. She knew what muggles did on dates like seeing movies or going .... Lowlbing? Bowbing? Bowlbing? Bowling.. Yeah, bowling! "I have no idea actually. I'm very bad at guessing." She said with a grin. That's why she liked surprises, because she could never figure them out. It was more fun in the end that way.

Justin shook his head quickly. "No, of course you didn't insult me. I was just trying to get my perspective correct in my head" he replied swiftly. "I take it as a compliment actually" added Justin.

"Swing my hips?" Alex repeated with a scoff. "Please, I don't do that. Did someone put something in your pumpkinjuice this morning?" he chuckled and bumped her hip with his. This time, totally aware of what he was doing.

Disaster. Complete disaster. Ellie wanted something exciting, adventorous and here he had planned... Well he had planned somehing that would so give her the feeling of anti-climax. "Heh yeah that would be cool." he murmured. Why hadn't he thought of that?! Stupid, stupid, stupid.

He just had to cling to the fact that there would be more dates, he could take her to see the squid or the centaurs some other night. Then it hit him, after the lame date he had planned perhaps there wouldn't be another date. Gulping he started to move his fingers around in circles on her upper arm to keep him busy. "You won't have to guess for much longer." he said absently. "Here, tuuurn right." he chuckled and spun her around a little so they walked off the corridor in a slightly smaller one. One that was leading to where they would be having the date. The Date, capital T capital D. "Your guesses were wong. We're not going to leave the castle actually." he mused. Yeah, he was just that creative.

A smiled tugged at Ellie's lips. "Hmm, maybe that's what it was?" She said sarcastically, tapping her chin with her finger.

He told her that she wouldn't have to guess for much longer and her heart jumped. Could hearts do that? She smiled as he directed her around a corner. "And I am just fine with that." She said reassuringly. She looked up at Alex. He looked a little nervous, but Ellie just smiled and pulled him closer to her side. She was sure that whatever he had planned would be just perfect.

Selina had fled the Common Room, she needed an escape for a while. The room was full of too many people with too many problems. The only problem she wanted to deal with was that of Adam. The pair of them were close and in less than a year he would be gone from her life as easily as he came. Nothing would stop him and rightly so, it was his life and he had to make his own decisions.

As she walked down the corridor she found herself walking without direction, poetic for how she felt. She knew she had to have the answers for him, she always seemed to, but not today.

Adam remembered here,last year, he had fought with katie even though that had been common.

His eyes had dark bags underneath them, and they felt dry- as if no moisture had gotten in because he had been silently crying in the boys dorms lately.
This year had gotten off to a good start and now everything he loved would soon be gone.Adam wasn't really sure how to spend the year, but he would take it one day at a time.

Wiping his dry tears off his face with his t shirt Adam looked up to see Selina kinda walking in a zig zag.
Hey you."He said more quiet than a cat.

Carter laughed. "No, I think I was a bit off." he said running a hand through his hair. "That's what I get for not having been on my broom in two years though, right?" he said. It was true, unlike the other kids, he didn't get a chance to practice over the break.

He chuckled. "You didn't look stressed at all. I bet you'll make it." he said with a smile. Plus, it would be nice to have more mates on the team. Usually it was just him and Rafe. And let's face it, they have had better times.

He stopped as Patroclus asked how he was doing. "Uhh... wha.. what do you mean?" he stuttered. It was obvious the question was about he and Marie. "It's a new year. We just had brilliant quidditch trials. What could there possibly be to 'deal with'?"

Selina spun on her heal to see a figure that looked like Adam. And talked like Adam. And walked like Adam. But it was no Adam. He looked so empty, empty in every way possible. His eyes had a certain darkness to them that matched the darkness under his eyes. And then she knew.

"You told Kurumi, huh?"

Selina knew that would be hard for him. She did silently wish though that he would tell her. Only Kurumi would be a reason for him to stay. His love for her was like nothing she had ever seen on a thirteen year old boy. It was true and beautiful. They both respected one another and that was hard to find.

"Oh before I forget." Selina pulled out of her bag a letter. It was one her father had sent her after she had written home about Adam deciding to go with his parents. It was still sealed and was addressed to Adam.

*cackles* Deeeeeee!
 

Ruby stepped out of the portrait hole and walked down the corridor, wondering if she should go get her pictures developed immediately or lay low for a while incase the goofball came back to haunt her. Her face thoughtful as she walked, Ruby reached into her pocket and held her sweet camera, the one that held embarrassing pictures of both her and Braeden. She didn't pull it out because she feared for it's safety now but clutched it tightly in her pocket.
"Maybe I'll have a bite to eat in the Great Hall, all that wrestling has made me hungry as a hippogriff," She said to herself and continued walking down the corridor, hand still in her pocket, a smile playing on her lips. Yeah, she was good. :evil:

It took Braeden a while, but he was able to catch up with the Evil Lioness not too long after leaving the common room. He could've recognized that Lioness mane anywhere, even if he had only just met her. He got weird looks from the little first years passing by, but the boy didn't care. His disguise was brilliant and even if he walked right up to Ruby at that moment, he was sure the girl wouldn't recognize him even in a million years. Bwaaahahaha! However, his plan wasn't to be caught. So he kept a safe distance behind the fiery redhead as she walked down the corridor, muttering to herself about heading over to the Great Hall and feeling hungry like a Hippogriff. Well, that certainly made sense to Braeden. She fought like a Hippogriff; sheesh.

Doing his best to keep his footsteps quiet, Braeden continued following the girl down the corridor, hoping she would release that dratted camera already. Why was she holding it so tight?! It's not like half the kids in the school knew what a muggle camera was, anyway! Ah! But surely she'd have to put it down to eat when she got to the Great Hall, no? Braeden smirked to himself. That would be his big chance. For now, he just had to keep close - but not too close - the girl and try not to lose her from sight. He walked as she walked, paused as she paused, and hid behind the nearest statue or suit of armor every time she made a turn that could reveal him.

As Ruby walked, she suddenly got the feeling that she was being WATCHED. She stopped suddenly, nearly colliding with another student ("WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING, DIMWIT!") and then slowly turned around. But there was no one there. Her brow wrinkling in confusion, she shrugged and then continued walking, humming to herself now.
But the feeling didn't go away. Troubled, she turned around once more and thought she saw some movement behind a suit of armor. Okay, this was kind of creepy. Should she go investigate? Perhaps.
So Ruby walked back very slow incase something (or someone) jumped out at her, and reached for her wand with the hand that wasn't holding her camera. And now, she was standing right in front of the suit of armor, wand in hand. Sucking in her breath, she pointed her wand at it...but before any spell came to her mind, she heard a loud grumble. From her stomach.
Rolling her eyes, she lowered her wand and patted her tummy.
"Oh fine, I'll feed you first," She grumbled and after staring at the suit of armor for a few more seconds, she turned back and continued walking down the corridor, wand back in her pocket, and her other hand still around the camera.
"I'll get you when I'm full," She said with a laugh, turning back to glance at the lonely suit of armor.

Even though he felt completely unrecognizable in his disguise, Braeden still couldn't help being terrified every time Ruby turned around. She was just so… frightening. Scary. Intimidating. The list could go on and on and on. Luckily, though, he had been able to hide behind a statue, suit of armor, or group of first years every time Ruby turned around. So he was safe. Whew! For now.

And then Ruby stopped. Braeden watched as she began to turn and basically threw himself behind the nearest suit of armor, watching from behind the armor's arm as the girl began to walk straight toward it. Toward him! GAHH!! Braeden felt his heart beating so fast it was deafening his ears - could she have seen him?! He thought he had been doing a good job at keeping himself hidden, though! The boy was frozen behind the suit of armor, waiting for his death, when suddenly a strange sound echoed through the corridor. Braeden watched as Ruby confirmed the sound to be her stomach by talking to it, and snorted. Oh crap! He brought a hand over his mouth quickly and watched as the girl walked away. Once she was far enough, Brae sighed with relief and walked out of his hiding spot.

That was close. Too close! He'd have to be more careful from now on. What if she had eyes behind her head or something? He wouldn't be surprised. At this point, nothing could really surprise him about Ruby. She was the strangest - and scariest - girl he had ever met in his life. He was beginning to worry his disguise might not be secretive enough, though, so he pulled out his wand and conjured up a Panama hat to cover his brown hair. Now Ruby wouldn't recognize him! He paused in the middle of the corridor for a moment, taking a second to lean his head back and cackle like a maniac before abruptly straightening up and clearing his throat as if nothing had happened.

Harley walked down the seventh floor corridor. She'd never been this high up before. It was like...FLYING. But there was ground underneathe her. She stopped halfway up the corridor and leaned against a wall, before beginning to twist her red hair around one of her fingers. A smile formed on the fourth year's face as she looked up and down the corridor. Maybe she could fly from here, like with a cape and everything like a real superhero.

"I told her already, Kurumi.She said why would I want to stay with my parents after all they are doing to me...Their my parents"He said with a shrug.No matter how much you hated your parents if they hadn't physically hurt you, they weren't too terrible, right?

"To me?"He asked befuddled.
Slowly he read through the letter and smiled when he saw that Mr.Skylar was proud of Adam for taking Selina under his wings- she had brought it up- he couldn't bring her spirits down, but it was a fun experience for him.Then he slightly chuckled when Adam could be Mr.Skylars prospective boy to teach Quidditch-he had never had a real father figure.

"Maybe I will stay with you-just to make sure the big brother keeps his sister and boyfriend in check."Adam teased at long last.

Selina saw the look in his eyes when he talked about his parents. It was true that they made him unhappy, but as he had pointed out they were his family- his blood family. She understood better than anyone what that bond meant and his reason behind going. Although she had wished he would stay.

When he read the letter his eyes lit up at certain parts and he, toward the end, looked quite emotional. What had her father said to him? And then his response was even more puzzling.

"Wait... what did you say?" Did he really just agree and joke about it? "What did he say to you?"

"He said that on two conditions I would be allowed into your home.
1) I must do house chores
and 2) I have to keep a eye on you and Demitri but he called Demitri a SNAKE.

I feel really honored to be allowed in your own house, and to have your father right to me on his own accord, makes me feel like I am really wanted...But I might be back 7th year-so your 6th year.
I hear when you turn 17 thats your day of age...I will come back-I promise.I rarely break them."Adam said with a smirk.

Selina tried to keep up with what Adam was saying. She was to say the least confused. "Wait, let me see if I get this straight... he called my boyfriend a snake?" Selina joked. "In all seriousness, your going to Mexico City. But coming back your seventh year? Did I get that right?" She quietly hoped she had not. She wanted him to stay, but to voice that opinion would not be right. It was his right to dictate his own life.

I am considering coming back 7th year, so then that way I graduate with my class. Get it?"Adam asked her in a drawing voice.He hoped that this idea of his would liften her spirits just a bit, she was not the only one heartbroken at this school .

"I am . I am, I know it's crazy but I'm going.Besides I can make some new friends-make more room for people to enter my life...Meet some Mexican..."He stopped himself before hormones kicked in too far.

"Thank you captain obvious. I am aware of the different house mascots. You did not have to enlighten me. I'm not that daft.

"And as for you coming back seventh year... I guess I get it. I mean once I moved somewhere wouldn't it be hard to leave my new surroundings and try to re-assimilate to the old. Not that I don't want you to come back... because I do. But this whole situation is just messy."

When Adam went on about the Mexican Selina gave him his best sister glare. "There had better be no Mexican girls. Or I swear... I like Kurumi thank you. No need to change up countries on me."

Selina did have one more request. She grew very serious and asked, "Adam? At least stay the summers with my family. We can go to Diagon Alley and visit Fee, Hugo, Eino... Kurumi..."

"Sorry I just thought, you hadn't read up on that stuff yet."Adam said chuckling slightly.

"Sorry...but with me being in a new world I think dating Kurumi will be treading on thin ice.Maybe it's best to break it off with her and come back 7th year and just surprise her.
This boy wants to see how it's like in Mexico."He said with a half smile but more aware that Selina just might smack him in the eye if he fully smiled at the idea.

"I will come for summer...If I can find a Mexican Wizard community and floo myself to your house- Kurumi though, lives in Japan which will be more difficult..."

His smirk about Mexican girls gained him a slap in the chest from the tiny redhead. She raised her eyebrows at him to say stop being a tough guy, you're bad at it. She then smirked at him and joked, "Who'd want to date you? Kurumi is just too nice to see how messed up you are. Kidding, totally kidding."

At his agreement to see her in the summers she beamed. As for Kurumi, "That is smart. I mean I like her a lot, but if you don't end it... it will never end for her. She will hold onto you even when you're gone."

We would have to wait and see, thought it was going to be constantly on his brain until the list was posted on the Common room wall.

Uh Oh.

"Yeah it's been a great start to the year, but..." taking a breathe Patroclus got to the point, "I mean it must be hard to deal with the fact that Marie has a new guy on the go.....you two were pretty serious and it ended suddenly. I just want to see if you were OK with everything." Patroclus had been there at the Ball last year, when Marie and her new fella were sucking the faces off one another, and Carter had been there too. It was about time Patroclus spoke to either one of them to figure out what went down.

"So are you, OK?"

Adam listened intently. Was she really saying what he thought she was saying?
"Are you saying that at the end of the school year, I should break up with her?"He asked her aghast at the thought.

To separate himself from his soul mate was difficult to imagine and to do it to her was even worse-she would not only be devastated but in a way she won't be able to go on that much.She would change and be someone different, he wouldn't be there to listen to all her troubling thoughts-something he had trouble with too-but he lifted the moment.

He nearly fell to the corridor floor."I can't do that to her."He said weakly.

"If you are going to leave... you have to. It isn't fair to either of you. Kurumi would be devastated without you. But if you left the state of your relationship opened ended you would give her a false hope. I know that this is hard for you to hear, but Kurumi would need to move on. Holding onto you would be poison in her life. She would need you and not be able to have you. And if you did not tell her that that was not un-okay she would gladly spend her teenage years pinning after you. The problem is you are not going to be there. You are not going to be there for all of the important things and landmarks every teenage girl hits. No matter what you do you will miss those moments. Kurumi and you will change, but not together. And without you two being together the change will be apart. You won't both be on the same page.

"I'm sorry- but she'll grow apart from you. You know that. And to hold her down to a relationship that includes two people never seeing one another is cruel. And if you thought about even thinking about doing that I would never forgive you.

"If you are going to leave- leave. Don't hold onto something here that you are leaving behind." Someone had finally said it. If Kurumi was truly his soul mate why was he leaving? A soul mate was someone you could not live without and leaving was being without her. Adam should have wanted to fight to be by her side. And they both knew deep down he did not want to, or he would have took up her offer to stay with her family. And yet she could not begrudge him for his choice as much as she wanted to.

Selina made Adam feel like he was 10 and not 13-how was she so much wiser than him.

Anyways, he listened intently, daring not to blink because blinking he would miss a part of her speech.

If he broke up with Kurumi, life would end, but he'd move on, but she's have a much more difficult time. She always came up to him for every thing, and perhaps his little dramatic side is what kept her sane at times, because she needed to correct and teach lessons to others to feel good about herself.

Then Selina said she would never forgive him if they broke up.That was fierce.His eyes were stinging a bit.
OH no he was crying in front of his little sister, but he didn't care much, she had already see him cower and then cry just a few days back.

"Selina...Last month of school...I'm gonna do it...I think it's best because its hard for us to stay in contact being so far apart- it wouldn't be the same."He said at long last.

Selina nodded her head. She was glad that he saw it realistically, the way she saw it. If he had made Kurumi attached to a relationship that was no longer existent she would never forgive him. And although she was sad to see him go he was doing the right thing in breaking up with her. Sure, she would have to pick up the broken pieces of the little Asian girl, but to leave her with a shred of hope would not only be cruel but wrong.

"I think that is best. If you are going to go, and right now it sounds like you are, you need to break up with her. And I promise I will be there to keep the piece together the best I can."

And now for the hardest part, "Adam I also think once you break it off that needs to be done. You can write post to me and Hugo and Fee and stuff. But I think Kurumi needs to be isolated from you. I know it will be hard, but the more she is reminded of you the harder it will be for her to move on..."

"Thanks for that. It will be hard for her to get on her feet once I move. But I will be visiting during summer- should I isolate myself this year, or forever?This is all very new to me, so sorry for the questions."He said sorry in advance."And Fee will be there also-you know incase you get too busy with Kurumi and Demitri."He added for her sake.

ISOLATE?"He asked in a weak way, even though it came out a bit loud."I have to isolate ourselves to make it easier for the both of us..."He said repeating what she had advised him. Adam began wiping his wet cheeks away.

Selina's heart shattered at the sight of a teary Adam. It was a sight she had never seen before and she felt like crying with him. Sure they had been weepy when he got his letter and they had been weepy when they had become siblings. But in both of those instances she did not see his eyes. He had either turned away from her and had burrowed his head into the Great Hall table. Now she had a full view of him as he cried.

Without a word she went over and held him. No words were spoken. What could she say? She just needed to let him know she was there for him and that she would always be there for him.

Finally pulling away she cupped his cheek and tried her hardest not to cry, "Adam, I-I..." But no words surfaced.

"I'm so sorry about all of this. You should not have to go." Her reserve and steadfast opinion on his decision was quickly crumbling. "It isn't fair to you. Everyone who loves you is here and we-" But Selina stopped herself. She was the strong one and the one who Adam needed to be strong. Under no circumstances could she crumble. So she composed herself and said, "I think that would be best. I know it is hard, but when the school year ends it has to be time to let her go. Until then you both should enjoy each other's company. Try not to think about it. Pretend it does not exist because if you two do you will both try to compensate for lost time. That might result in you two rushing the natural course of your relationship. Let it run smooth and live out the days in happiness."

For the first time ever Selina was crying along with Adam.And in a odd way, it made him feel better, she couldnt bottle up all those emotions and at long last she was showing what she had been trying to cover up these past days.She had always been the strongest of the two and now Adam was finally seeing another side of her, the redhead fiesty girl was now thw weeping angel along with Adam.

"It's not fair. But I think you are making me understand the situation a whole lot better. Selina we have only been there for each other now a few months and i feel like you really are my sister- I mean a really supportive and teasing sister.So you've made my last year here, thus far, pretty entertainting, and I thank you for that."He said petting her hair.

"You make sense when you say spend everyday we have together the fullest it can be, and try not to think of the future cause that will only make it worse.And I will do extra special things for everyone, but you and Kurumi most. Promise me on that."He said smiling slightly.

As Adam pet her hair she let out a little sob. It was so unlike her. She was raised by a family full of men. In her house it was be tough or be taunted. Part of her was grateful for this mentality because it made her stronger and yet another part of her had wished she could really open up more. Sure she was always handing out advice and being sentimental. But she never really ever showed her emotions or her true ones. And Adam was just at the cusp of seeing her emotional side. It scared her.

The only person in the world who had ever seen her vulnerable was Demitri and possibly Elektra and Violet, but even the pair of them had only scratched the surface. Now while Adam pet her hair she was bursting at the seems to be emotional and tell him what she really thought. But he needed her support in his decision. It seemed that she was the only one who agreed with him about his need to leave. Everyone else had overreacted and was not pleased. He needed someone to understand.

"I'll hold you to that. Besides we both know that anything special for me is food related. Candy, ice cream, you name it. I'll be thrilled with that."

"I'll make you an Ice Cream Sundae on your birthday. Which is?"Adam asked, trying to steer away the conversation.

Anymore Mexico City chat and he was gonna be depressed permantely for life.

Selina was somewhat grateful for the change in conversation. All of the continuous talk of his leaving was ruining the time they had while he was staying.

"December 3. Right before Christmas holiday. Speaking of which, when is yours?"

"Mine is July 15...So I won't get to spend it with any of you guys."He said with a slight grimace.
"Are you staying or going for Holidays- I don't want to go back home until I finally have to."He added darkly again.

Selina looked at him and said, "I was planning on going home. You should come! My Dad would love to have you stay with us. Besides you should have one family moment before Mexico City."

"Are you saying I am like family to you?"He asked a bit honored- and if it weren't true his heart would begin aching again.
"Not after all they've done to me- I couldn't go back just to have them ruin my holidays."He said looking down sullenly.

"Did you think I was joking when I offered for you to stay in my home, when my Dad wrote a personal letter to you saying whatever he said to you, and when I made you my sibling? Adam, I want you to feel at home with my family. Although you choose to go with your parents, we wanted you to stay with us. We, my mother included, all appreciate how much you mean to me. And both my parents were willing to open their house to you. Of course I am serious about you being like family. And if you came to me tomorrow and said that you had decided to move in with my family the offer would still be yours. I respect you. That is hard to come by from me."

"Well no. But I just don't want to interupt during the holidays the most important time of the year, ya know?"He told her.
"I thought the sibling thing was serious but not so serious...I mean...You're the one helping me out lately."

Now he felt more loved the Skylars WANTED him to be there. It was a big choice but maybe he would drop by them, she had to live in London and he in Oxfordshire- it wasn't too far away, now was it? :)
"Thanks. I don't think no one but Kurumi has ever respected me."

"You would not be interrupting, you would be enhancing the holidays if anything. My entire family would love to have you and all of my male cousins would love to have another guy to hang out with. Especially my cousin Miles.

"And I meant what I said about the offer. It stands strong for the holidays or if you decide you don't like Mexico City or if you decide you do not even want to go. My house is always open to you." Selina smiled. She wanted to be clear that Adam was always welcome. Besides that's what family is for.

"And yeah, I respect you... don't mess that up." Selina smirked.

Marie and Mia were on their way back from the owlery heading down to the Great Hall. Marie was running ahead of Mia acting as if she was scared of the girl for teasing her about her letter to Nik. Like Marie would ever be afraid of Mia.

Rounding the corner she came to a sudden stop when she seen two very familiar Gryffindor students ahead of her. Patroclus and... Carter. Inching her way back around the corner she stood there spying waiting for Mia to catch up with her.

Her curiosity getting the better of her she peaked her head around the corner just in time to hear... 'Marie has a new guy on the go.' What the hell did Patroclus mean by that? James wasn't a guy on the go, he was her boyfriend whether certain Lions or She-Snakes wanted to admit it.

Pulling her head back around the corner she lent against the wall listening very carefully to what the boys were talking about. If Carter even said one bad thing about James she would.... well she didn't know yet what she would do but it probably wouldn't be pretty.

And where was Mia? How slow was that girl?

Carter ran a hand through his hair as he walked. There it was. The 'Marie' question. He knew it was only a matter of time before someone mentioned it.

"I... er... didn't know she was... umm... I wasn't aware she had a 'new guy'." he stuttered.

Yeah... way to go Carter... way to sound like everything was okay.

"I mean good for her." he said as he continued walking.

He then stopped as Patroclus asked it he was doing okay. "I guess." he said with a little shrug. He was okay, right?

"I mean... I guess things were downhill after the whole Kay thing." he said. Yup, Destiny was just the icing on that fight. "I mean... Destiny is cute and has a wicked awesome name and all... but..."

He then shrugged again. "I've always been a one woman kinda guy... I guess everyone else doesn't think so..."

What did everyone expect him to do? Apologize about drinking love potion? Things just didn't work out. Was he upset about it? Of course. Did he want things to turn out differently? Of course. But things were how they were now and he couldn't really do anything about it. Especially now that Marie had some new guy.

Why in Merlin's name was Marie running away from her?

Mia had just walked up a million stairs to get to the owlery and now Marie wanted her to run back down.

No freakin way.

She took her time, walking slowly down the corridor whistling softly as she did and as she approached the end, Mia noticed Marie standing at the corner. Now what was the point of running away from her when she was just going to wait for her anyway?

But it was the way the blond was standing that had Mia thinking that the girl wasn't waiting for her at all and that she was up to something. Sidling up to her friend, she leaned over and whispered in her ear. "What are you doing?"

Marie stood there listening to the boys talk forgetting that she had been waiting for Mia to show up.

Hearing Carter say he wasn't aware she had a 'new guy' only reminded her of how he had been ignoring her for over a year. Oh well, his loss. She had a boyfriend that...

He thought Destiny was cute.

Feeling the color drain from her face she slid down the wall until she was sitting. He... thought Destiny was cute? Was that the real reason he broke up with her... Was the love potion just an excuse for the real reason he treated Marie the way her did?

Carter wanted to be with Destiny... not Marie.

Hearing Mia's voice as she slid down the wall she slowly looked up at her friend. "He... he thinks Destiny is cute. That's why he broke up with me." Okay, so maybe Carter didn't say those words, but to Marie that's what she heard.

Patroclus had thought this may be awkward for Carter to talk about, and then way he was tripping over his words, proved that whilst also making Patroclus feel bad for bringing the subject up. He didn’t mean to drag Carter back through the pain.
“Yeah, he is some Ravenclaw Sixth Year, I haven’t met him, but from what I have seen in class he seems to be a huge flirt,” Patroclus nodded. It was true; the boy was always smiling at other girls, which infuriated Patroclus, seeing as though the ‘Claw was meant to be with Marie.

“As long as she is happy…..”Patroclus trailed off.

Kay?

Patroclus wasn’t exactly sure who this girl was, but she had turned out to be quite the bump in the road. Her being around with Carter in the holidays between their Third and Fourth years that had set all his heart ache in motion –WHAT….Destiny?
“Yeah she is really cute” he nodded, instantly besotten.
Patroclus let his mind stray to thoughts of the She-Snake, the one what was so funny and yes really cute……wait. Why did Carter say that? Somewhere deep inside, a small flicker of heat prickled over Patroclus body.

Regaining control, Patroclus continued, “But did you ever tell Marie, it was only ever her?”

Jimmy had broken up with Marie to be with Destiny? When did this happen? Is that why Marie didn't want to tell her anything about she and Jimmy up in the owlery. Because he had broken up with her.

"Why didn't you tell me?" She hissed at Marie. They were supposed to be friends. Hadn't the girl just dragged out all of Mia's secrets. But she couldn't seem to return the favor.

And Jimmy...

She had known the guy was a flirt and all but she had thought he was trying to stop all that nonsense since he got together with Marie. And to go after the girl's best friend.

That was just low.

Why didn't she tell her? That's all she had to say? "I didn't tell you because I didn't know until just now." she said as she replayed over and over in her head what she heard Carter say to Patroclus... 'Destiny is cute.'

Then she heard Patroclus. "Oh and his friend agreed with him that Destiny is cute. Not before he made sure to tell him that my boyfriend is a huge flirt in classes though." What the hell was going on in those classes she wasn't in with Jimmy? Was there more flirting going on other than what she had seen in the library?

"Oh and apparently, he says he's always been a one woman kind of guy... I guess I just wasn't that one woman for him." It seems as if Destiny is the one woman he wants. Even Patroclus thought so since he asked if Carter had told Marie this.

She just sat there wondering what was really going on with Destiny and Carter. Was her friend dating Carter all along behind her back? Oh she was so going to be having words with Destiny again.

Marie only just found out NOW? How is that possible? Okay sure Mia had been lagging behind but she didn't think she had taken that long to get to the seventh floor from the owlery for Marie's whole world to implode.

And who was this friend?

Mia could see why the boys would think Destiny was cute because well...she was but she was not about to say that in front of Marie right now.

Now it might have been a little more helpful if Mia actually listened to everything that Marie was saying. If she had then she probably would have picked up that Marie was not talking about Jimmy at all. But all the brunette was hearing, was that Jimmy had dumped Marie for Destiny.

"You are the right girl." She told Marie quite seriously and with that whole Hufflepuff loyalty thing going, Mia spun on her heel and stomped away. "I'll catch up with you later. There is something I have to do." She called over her shoulder, while mentally beating Jimmy with...something.

"Well if I'm the right girl why is it that I'm the one he broke up with?" She asked. But before Mia could even answer her Marie watched her friend turn and leave.

She was leaving? Marie had just told her why Carter had dumped her and now she was leaving her there... alone. Wow, she knew that she couldn't talk to Evelyn and obviously Destiny about Carter or James..., but Mia too? She really didn't have any friends she could talk to about things did she.

If she wasn't so in shock by what she was hearing she would have gotten up and left too. Instead she just sat there in a daze. Maybe Carter and Patroclus would just go to their common room and she wouldn't have to hear anymore talk about how cute Destiny was.

Harley looked up and down the corridor, there wasn't alot there, some pictures and other people but she didn't wanna intrude their conversations. So she chose to stay exactly were she was.

The fourth year began to twist a strand of her long red hair around her index finger, trying to decide what she wanted to do. She wanted to find Aimee so they could carry on exploring but she had no idea where she'd gone. Sad times.

She looked up as a boy walked over to her, giving him a small smile she nodded. "Hey." She looked down to her feet and back up again at his question. "Um...Standing here ? What about you ?"

Dallin smirked at the girl's reply. Standing; right. Obviously.

"I'm standing," he replied, smiling. He looked down at the floor, shuffling a foot across it. "And leaning against this wall, and talking." If you wanted to be specific. Besides, he wasn't doing much else anyway.

"I'm Dallin, by the way." Might as well introduce himself if he's gonna talk to her, right? "And you?"

Harley looked away from the boy for a second looking up and down the corridor before turning her head back to him.

"You are." she nodded. And then he continued. "Mhmm. I can..see that." Now that they'd got the whole stating the obvious thing over and done with they could talk.

"Nice name." she smiled. "Im Harley. Nice to meet you."

Gah, sorry for the late response. Busy week.
 

"Does Marie know?" Carter asked whipping around to face Patroclus. Anyone could see that Carter still cared about Marie given the intensity of the question. "I want Marie to be happy, not with some guy who hits on everything with a skirt." Was that an exaggeration? He had no idea, but it sounded like a good statement.

Carter turned back around and walked back and forth a few paces completely unaware of Patroclus current 'absence' from the conversation.

"Of course I told her!" he said throwing up his hands in frustration. "But really. That shouldn't matter. We were dating, doesn't that count for anything?"

He then shrugged. "Plus, wouldn't she think that it was weird that I was continuously rhyming? When have I ever done that?"

"Oh," he said, surprised. He never knew his name was cool. He was starting to really like England. "Harley?" he repeated, holding back a smirk. "Like the motorcycle? Kinda?" Ya know, like Harley Davidson?

Erm, but anyway... "I'm a fourth year Ravvie," he said brightly, pointing to the badge on his robes. "You?" He stood up a bit straighter, leaning one whole side of his body on the wall, still facing Harley Davidson.

Like the motorcycle. Everyone said that, she'd never thought of her name being like a motorcycle, probably because before she'd come to Hogwarts no one had ever made the connection. "Yes ?" she said, before realising he was just repeating her name. Blushing, she looked down. "Um yeah, I guess so." she nodded, looking back up and shooting a small smile at Dallin.

Yay for other Fourth years. And he was a Ravvie, maybe he knew Aimee. "Im a fourth year too, but Slytherin." she said tilting her head downwards towards her robes instead of pointing. "So this your first year here ?"

"Cool," Dal replied. He smiled back. It didn't occur to him that maybe she got annoyed when people compared her name to a motorcycle... but then again, maybe she liked it? Who knew. He wasn't going to spend time worrying about it.

"Awesome!" he said with a nod. He was meeting a lot of fourth years lately, it was kind of cool. It looked like he'd made a good choice in repeating his fourth year, then. "Yep, I just transfered from Merlin's. What about you?" That'd be cool if she was also a transfer, since he'd met a lot of those, too.

"It is ?" she wasn't really sure if her name being a type of motorcycle or something like that was a good thing. Maybe it was, maybe thats why people kept saying it too her. Hmm. She'd have to ask someone sometime, but not right now because it wasn't that important to be honest.

She smiled as he said it was awesome, she wasn't gonna repeat the is it thing because that would get old. She nodded as he explainied that he's transferred from Merlin's although she didn't know where that was. "Oooh sounds like fun. I used to be homeschooled." Which was NOT fun, not fun at all. "Um..Where's Merlin's ? Is it nice there ?"

He simply nodded. Yes it was. It was cooler than his name... he didn't even know anything cool that had the same name as him. It was a shame, really.

His eyes widened when she said she was homeschooled. "Really? Did you like it?" That was kind of a stupid question; if she liked being homeschooled, she probably wouldn't have come to Hogwarts. But whatever.

"Upper U.S." Dallin answered. "In the New England area...thing." Yeeeah. "Um, it was okay I guess. It was colder than home... but then again, so's Hogwarts." Shrug.

Wow.

It was in his reply that Patroclus knew, Carter was kinda not over Marie. "I think she is aware, but I don't know if she has said anything. Which she should," he added. There was no way Marie would let herself get used like that, but however some say love is blind.

"Let me get this straight." Patroclus declare, trying to organise all the past event logically in his head, "You took the love potion, which made you become infatuated with Destiny. Marie was unaware of the potion, and was enraged by your rhyming professions of love for Destiny, and ended it?" Patroclus was still unsure how it had all fallen apart. "Or did you end it? When you were under the potions influence or after?"

Ay Ay Ay. The LionBoy's head was starting to hurt.

"But honestly....are you over her?"

Harley smiled at his nod. "Well um, thank you, I think your name's cool too." She'd already said that hadn't she ? oh well, maybe he hadnt heard her the first time.

She blinked as his eyes widened. "Everything okay ?" she asked, a little concerned. "Uh yeah Really. It was okay I guess, I mean it was a little lonely. Theres toooons of people here at Hogwarts, Im used to being in a class of like...3 people." Well four if she included herself.

The redhead nodded as he explain. Wait New England ? "There's a new England in America, so Um...Is this old England ?" Old, Ancient, hmmm cool times. "Home ? Where's home ? Did you run away ?" If he had hopefully he'd wrote someone a note so they knew where to find him.

Kim sighed in relief he was happy he hadn't insulted Justin "thats good to hear I thought what I said might have been taken as a insult but I am happy that you took it as a compliment in which I intended it to be"

"I think seeing me and Destiny... you know... snog at that party made her go mad or something." Carter said running a hand through his hair. "I don't know if I said anything to her during that time... I honestly barely remember things..." Except how shiny Destiny's hair looked. And the random urge to see Destiny and a dinosaur in a roaring match.

"Afterwards... you know... when it hit me what happened I tried talking with her. I tried apologizing, but she wouldn't hear it. A few months after I guess she was ready to talk, but we just didn't really run into each other at all." he said.

He then chuckled a little as Patroclus asked if he was over her. "Honestly mate. I don't think I ever will. Maybe it was just the way it ended... but I dunno." Which was an underexaggeration. There wasn't a day that went by that he didn't wish that he and Marie were still something, even if that something was just being friends. They had been so close for long. And he just plain missed her. He missed seeing her. He missed talking with her. He missed holding her hand, he missed talking walks and laughing, and he missed having a number 1 fan no matter what.

He dazed out a little bit lost in his thoughts when he remembered he was in the middle of a conversation. "But that's strictly between us. I'm happy she found someone. Really. I just hopes he treats her right. You know?" he said.

Justin smiled. He and Kim seemed as though they would be pretty good friends. "No way. I don't get offended very easy" he told Kim. Well he didn't so he was only telling the truth.

"so Justin what do u want to do" Kim asked "that is if you want to hang out for a little while longer if you dont mind" Kim asked cautiously looking at the ground.

Justin shrugged. What could two student's do? They were both boys so that gave them a few ideas. But not enough to decide what they could do. "Hmmmmmm. I'm up for whatever you wanna do. Name it and I'm there" he said. Hopefully Kim had an idea. He was fresh out of ideas.

"hmmm" Kim try pondering something but only one thing came to mind "the only only thing I can think of is to go for a walk along the pathways, are you okay with that."
