Rex has decided to use a Miami Dolphins uniform-Dan Marino on the back wiith flippers as a muggle would swim underwater with thrm. He also uses a snorkel mask on his face. "Any one want to be a partner with a dolphin?" Rex asked the ones in classes without partners.

"That's it. You're doing great," Kurumi encouraged as her and Eino seemed to be stepping, well, in step. Every now and again, some of the rocks from Eino's costume would whack her in the head or the shoulder, but she tried not to squeak too loudly whenever they did. She was definitely going to have some bruises by the end of this. "I think, if we take it slow, we won't have any problems," she said eying Eino's costume. She didn't fancy being squished by all those rocks and having to spend the night in the hospital wing.


Well, at least they didn't have to run across the grounds tied up like this. Just walk around in the inside the circle and try not to crash into other people. Kurumi could handle that...she just hoped that Eino could too. His costume was rather heavy and bulky. Kurumi adjusted her phoenix headdress and turned around to make sure that her tail wasn't going to smack into everyone. Just as she was about to give the command to Eino to start walking, music began playing. Holy Merlin's toothbrush, that was, um, an interesting choice in music. "Eino," Kurumi said trying to ignore the music for a moment. "Let's try stepping in rhythm with the music, left foot first. Are you ready?"

Kurumi looked over her shoulder to check on Walnut who seemed to have his full attention on the crup sniffing Professor Saylen's feet. His tail was swishing back and forth like windshield wipers on a rainy day. "Walnut, behave yourself!" she called.

I will if that forked tail dog does. Walnut began to try and wiggle his way out of the strange woman's grasp. He was going to get up close and personal with this new creature, right now!

Dallin frowned as he looked down at their tied feet. A ... four-legged race was definitely more complicated than a three-legged one. He pursed his lips for a minute before getting an idea.

"Okay," he said with a nod. "I move my outside leg while Michael moves his inside leg, and you move the one tied to his. Then I move my inside leg, and he moves his outside leg while you move the one tied to mine." It seemed like a good plan. "Does that make sense?"

Salander started to nod his head "Walk backwards, ri-- "

..wait did he say

"wait-- backwards?" he spun his head at the Hufflepuff "We're kinda tied up dude... " he said pointing the the rope between their legs. He looked back towards the cottage and winced "And the cottage? But that's where the music is coming from-- "

... oh wait a minute.....



"Okay... " he mumbled, only low enough for Jake to hear "We walk backwards slowly, being all smiles for the Professor so she doesnt know what we're up to see?... And then make for the cottage.... and put something on thats worth listening to."

Amadeus quickly pulled out his wand, realizing that they had been lagging along. "Come here," He didn't even give the day-dreaming Gryffindor a moment to think as he grabbed his woolly arm and pulled him near. Placing his leg next to Braeden's, he bent over and aimed his wand at the two now-separate limbs. "Encarcerous minimus," He muttered. Suddenly, thick, brown rope was winding itself around both of their legs, tying them together from knee to ankle. After taking a moment to admire his handiwork, Amadeus placed his wand back inside of his leopard costume, pulled the hood even lower down his face to hide his embarrassed self, and began to lead Brae in tottering around the circle just as the students in front of them began to move.

"Should we march to the beat of the song? Should we sing to this childish nonsense as well?" He chuckled softly before realizing his mistake. Braeden probably would do just that and draw attention to the duo. Oh no; what had he done?

The young girl nodded, as she slowly comprehended the situation. "So, I move the opposite of the leg you are both moving? No wonder you're in Ravenclaw, this is confusing." Ok, she could do this. It would be no problem. "So, should we give it a try?"

Sebastian was so confused as to why they were having a three-legged walk around thingy. Okay so now to find a partner. "Umm, anyone want to be partners with me?" He asked blandly, hoping someone would like to. He couldn't just stand there and be left out. And...there was the music. Old Macdonald? Hah, funny.

Braeden almost fell over when Deus so roughly placed the head of his mutant deer costume back on him, though just a second later he was grinning like the doof he was underneath the ridiculous costume. "Cheer up, mate. It'll be fun, you'll see!" said Braeden, patting his leopard-costumed friend on the shoulder and almost knocking him down in the process. The oversized, heavy costume made him stronger.

The boy was still amused as Deus then proceeded to tie their legs up together with a spell before the professor then announced they could get started with the race. Braeden felt himself growing excited, and then, as if things just couldn't get more exciting or fun... Old Macdonald was playing! Braeden's brown eyes were sparkling underneath his costume. "I know this song!" he announced like a giddy little kid, ever the muggleborn goof. He smirked when Deus suggested they sing along to the music, though he was fully aware that Deus would never, in a million years, really sing along to the song. And not just because he didn't know the lyrics.

"C'mon, let's move fast," said Braeden as he began to move along with Deus, feeling completely weird now that he was attached to his friend by the leg. Like a giddy little kid, the boy began to speed-walk his way past the other students, not realizing that instead of walking along with his Ravenclaw friend, he was instead just dragging him along like a rag doll. But Braeden wasn't looking back. They had to win!

Amadeus pursed his lips as he attempted to hold back a retort. Here came five-year-old Braeden Stonem, pushing aside the teenage wizard in favor of childish antics. Deus did not know the song and certainly did not want to know the name nor the lyrics, if any accompanied the song. He was caught off guard as Brae began to increase the pace. "Hey!" He called, almost tripping over his own two three feet. "HEY!" Deus whacked Braeden on his large furry arm in an attempt to get him to slow down. "The race hasn't even started yet!" He had to resist throwing a punch in the direction of the student's mask. The professor had simply directed them to walk in a circle, not to run.

"Relax, will you?" Amadeus muttered irritatedly, brushing himself off a bit.

Chloe had yet to find a partner for this crazy tree-legged race thing. She heard a boy in her house about her age who seemed to be wearing a football uniform. She had no idea what team but she thought football is kinda cool. She approached him and said, "I don't hae a partner yet either. I would loveto be your partner if you like.".

Jake only looked at Salander for a minute.

Waiting.

Waiiiiiiiiiiiting.

THERRRRRRRRE it is.

With a smile at his fellow seventeen year old, Jake nodded his head and looked around but not in a suspicious way... and tugged the leg back which was attached to Salander's. One looooong stride backwards put them out of Saylen's eyeline, and so Jake continued... slooooowly moving backwards with Salander, a smiled on his face like he was enjoying that INCESSANT music.

"Ooooh, maybe she has something by The Chimaeras. The was the band my dad was in," Jake said in a low voice, stiiiiiill smiling, not moving his lips. He could taste the victory already.

It would be like The Shawshank Redemption. BAHAHAHA.

But Braeden's mutant deer costume was so thick and large and heavy that the boy didn't even feel Deus whacking his arm. More like... a fly strolling through his fur or something. So it wasn't until his Ravenclaw friend began to call out that Braeden turned to the side, only to find that Deus wasn't there anymore.

Huh? Where'd he go?
And then he turned around.
There was Deus, trying to catch up as best he could and looking quite irritated. Braeden tried not to grin in amusement at his friend's frustration, but then he remembered his costume was covering his face, so he grinned anyway.

"Well we still gotta stay ahead so when the race does start, we start off in front of everyone else!" said Braeden, though he did slow down enough for his friend to catch up, at least enough so that Deus was walking along with him rather than being dragged across the ground like a rag doll.

" Good, we are partners now" Rex told her. " I am Rex Trigwell" Rex introduced himself. " Now what are we supose to do in class?" Rex aaked her.

"I'm fine with it." K-Lee answered, taking the tie and tying their legs up. Standing up she felt like a midget, with Simon being so much taller than her.

"So lets start." K-Lee said.

Annabelle heard the music playing. She thought the music was a little annoying after she heard for a 30 seconds. She went to find charley.



Annabelle heard the music begin. She found charley and said"Oh um let's tie the right leg first." she said and motioned for Charley to hold out her right leg to tie it up.

" Ready to walk slowly around the table?" Rex asked Chloe. ' Glad we are both in the same house" Rex told Chloe.

"Yeah, but I don't know about slow. I kinda wanna see if we can do this a bit faster than some, medium speed atleast. Slow is boring don't you think.", Chloe responded with a smirk.

" I will do it fast, whatever you like" Rex told Chloe. "Slow is boring. "So let;s walk around in this circle now" Rex said to Chloe.

"Erm sure, if thats what you like", Chloe said with a smirk and then grabbed some fabric and bent low and tied one of her legs to one of his. She then got up again and smirked and said, "Sre you ready?".

" I am very ready" Rex told Chloe. " You are a wild girl, aren't you?" Rex asked Chloe. Rex and chloe walked pretty fast around the table because in SweetWater, Texas ,where rex had been born, three-legged races were the hit of the picnics.

Chloe had done her best to keep up with Rex and had a great time practically hopping around the table. She started to chuckle a bit as they finished and than said, "That was so fun and youareso good at this. How did you get so good at such an odd thing like this?", Chloe asked intrigued.

"Well, being borin in SweetWater Texas helped me" Rex told Chloe. " Three-legged races were the hit of our picnics" Rex explained to Chloe. " You are great, too" Rex smiled. "We can beat everyone" Rex said to Chloe.

Raven failed to find a partner, he is likely ignore because of his lion costume. he sit in a place watching the race. enjoying the the music. he remembered he need assistance of the lovely professor
"Professor, by body is likely in out of shape in running in just two rear foot, sorry for having a disgrace in your fun class" Raven say it apologetically.

"Oh, Texas huh. Rhose Texas picnics really paid off. I did a bit of cross-country over the years and in our offtime we did just this for fun so thats what helped me. I was born in the states myself but my parents were traveling aurors and I lived mostly with my aunt close by each new station of my parents. Eventually that had me end up here which is finally a permenant arrangement. Anyway, how did you end up from Texas to England", Chloe asked curiously.
