Armor Gallery One of the corridors on the third floor is home to a large collection of armor. Be careful not to touch or the caretaker may give you detention to clean up your fingerprints (and everyone else's). |
Out of habit, Lily had started making her way towards the Charms Professor's office, and had barely made it half way there when she realized what she was doing. Lexi wasn't in there anymore, so she really had no reason to waltz in whenever she pleased, now, did she? Somehow she found herself here, amongst... armor. Well, this was a convenient hiding spot. Not that she was hiding... necessarily, but if she was, this would be a good place for it. |
*finds you* He needed a place to think...to figure things out. A place without people. So that requirement eliminated his office which was particularly crowded lately. With girls mainly. Or boys who wanted advice on their love problems. Yes, because he was such an expert. NOT. On his way for a good place, he had briefly considered going into the woods but then again that was too close to Maya's hut and therefore too risky for him running into one of her animals. Who knew, maybe they let them roam the grounds freely so they could...graze...hunt...whatever they did. Which was why he had decided on the Armor Gallery. There hardly ever was anybody in here...apart from today apparently. Bleh. Jeremy had just been about to turn right around when he realized that it wasn't in fact some random student...no, it was Lily, the Healer. "Hey there." He greeted her with a small grin, moving further into the gallery. |
Let's go crazy. LET'S. Text Cut: Colley AND Lisachenen <3 Jared had a cat in his arms. Yes, a cat. Blue-eyed and fat enough to give Borr a run for his money though, of course, Jared did not know that. He had stepped out of his office, stepped into the third floor corridor and, as he passed the armour gallery, realized that it looked surprisingly unempty. He glanced in. If any person could look graceful despite holding on to a cat that most likely ate more than all three people in this room in a single day, Jared could. He shifted a gloved hand, and the cat, unfortunately, chose this moment to settle more comfortably into his arms. "Do you know this cat?" He almost sounded like a policeman asking 'Do you know this man?' |

"Oh." Lily, who had been scrutinizing the armor, turned around upon hearing a male voice. Dear Merlin, someone had found her already? Did that mean this wasn't such a great hiding place after all? "Oh, hello." Her grin was easy and it was obvious that she was glad she'd not been caught by anyone that needed anything from her. "Jeremy, are you hiding?" Not that.. she was. Quote:
"Merlin, that is a very fat cat." Lily sort of looked at it for a minute longer than she had meant to, before shaking her head and righting herself, "I've never seen it before." A cat like that was surely not easy to miss. |
You and you! He was pretty sure he had never actually been IN the armor gallery before...walked past, peeked in, saw people walking in, yes, but never actually had he himself gone in. Well, there was always a first to everything. Letting his eyes take in the numerous armors - well, duh it WAS an armor gallery - with great interest, they finally came to rest on Lily again. Hiding?! "No!" His answer probably sounded a little too defiant, however, with a rather cheeky grin he returned the question right back at her. "Are you?" She was, wasn't she? Heh. Hmm, did they hand out free stuff in here today? Jeremy half-turned upon hearing somebody addressing them. Oh, it was the new Charms professor. That guy with the French last name he couldn't pronounce. Yes, that one. And he was holding a...MONSTER! Taking a subconscious step back, away from the thing and the person holding it, he continued to stare at it. Had he just called it a cat?! "Are you sure this is a cat?" It was fat...and had blue eyes. Did cats have blue eyes? He didn't think so. |
*makes cat go for the Zook* :D "Yes," Jared agreed. "It's quite fat." Thank you for the understatement of the decade, Lilyan. His green gaze flicked, coming to a rest on Jeremy. "No," he said, mildly amused by his colleague's reaction, despite the cat's continuous attempts to snuggle even further into his arms. "It might be a new kind of featherless bird." His lips twitched. "I found it in my office, this morning." He had tried to shoo it out, but the creature kept attempting to rub its head against his legs and eat his letters. "I suppose I should let it head back." It must have come from some place. Land of Borr? Jared set down the cat, and the creature headed straight for a certain Zookara. Jared took off a glove, and inspected his hand. No cat fur. Obviously. Then he turned to Lily and Jeremy, a faint smile playing around his lips. "So you were both hiding?" |
"Hiding?" What? Lil' ol Lily? Hide? Nooooo. "Of course not." She sniffed, trying for indignant, but not really getting to it. Thankfully, the cat had taken up a lot of attention away from her and her non hiding. "How do you suppose it got into your office?" She asked. Did he leave his door open often? Hmm? Lily's door was shut. Always. Awww, the poor little thing just wanted some lovins', didn't he? He? She? It? It. It just wanted to cuddle! Lily gave Zookara a look that said as much. "Hiding is a word..." Lily sighed, "Such a big word. I prefer..." Pause. "Reflecting." Yes, excellent word, Moretti. "Of course, that's just me, I suspect that Jeremy is actually hiding." Heh. Heh. Heh. |
New kind of featherless bird? Jeremy threw the thing in Jared's hand a suspicious look. Hmm, no, it couldn't be a bird. They didn't have blue eyes, either. Just like cats. Yes, he knew that for sure. He had FOUND it in his office?! :O He made a mental note that from now on he was going to triple-lock his own office to prevent that thing to just happen to be in his office some day. "Yes, you should." He agreed, expecting him to release it outside in the corridors but not...inside the armor gallery. And now it. was. heading. his. way. Unfortunately, he had been too slow to run away so he had decided that just standing still was probably safest. Besides, he still had his wand in case the thing was about to atta- it was TOUCHING him. Well, his knees...it was rubbing its head against his legs and making sounds. He had already half lifted his foot to give it a good kick when he caught Lily's look...and quickly set it back onto the ground. It seemed she was probably going to kick him if he kicked the cat and who was he supposed to go to then for help? SHE was the healer after all. Bleh. "Reflecting IS a nice way to put it yes..." Jeremy agreed with a curt nod, the rest of his body still unmoving as if he had been paralyzed. "Wasn't! YOU were here first." That was proof that she had been hiding. Yes. |
"Through the door, I suppose." Jared glanced down at the cat now attempting to rub its head against the Zook's leg, as he responded to Lily's question. That pleased him, actually. Knowing that the cat had found someone else to love. "I left it unlocked, last night." He had enough spells woven into the place to ensure that no pesky human could cause trouble in there, but he had forgotten to think of such creatures as the one in front of him. He'd have to rectify that mistake, no doubt. "Unless, of course, it really is a new kind of featherless bird." It could have sneaked in through the window, then. Lazy grin. He had to keep back another grin, at Jeremy's reaction. The man looked like he had seen a ghoul that looked exactly like him. Him referring to Jeremy. "I had no idea cats like you this much, Jeremy," he said, quite seriously. Though apparently, it seemed as if JZ did not entirely return the sentiments. See, cat? Your love does not make us happy. Go back. Go back to the Land of Borr. |

Lily caught his look, and she crossed her arms, nodding. "If you kick that poor animal, I will kick you." YEAH. She would. AND she was wearing heels today too. He had been warned. With a sigh, she watched the cat as it rubbed against Jeremy's legs. It was sweet! Swiftly moving her green eyes to the OTHER guy, Lily raised an eyebrow, "Thank you, now the mystery is solved." Sarcasm. "You don't close the door to your office?" Did he think that cats had hands? And the ability to open closed doors, locked OR unlocked. |
HA! See he had won their argument on who had been hiding...or in his case, NOT hiding. Hehe. Too occupied with staring at IT, Jeremy missed the grin on Jared's lips when he again suggested that it might be a featherless bird after all. "Nah, I doubt that. It would have probably already flown into my face if it could fly." Besides, what with being that fat it might prove a little difficult to fly...he was surprised the thing could even move. Oh, now Lily had even voiced what he had dreaded. Great just great. "Yeah, I won't. I gotcha the first time." He muttered with a small rather irritated frown at both their obvious amusement about his situation. Gazing intently at the huge IT making sounds and rubbing against his legs, he completely missed Jared and Lily's conversation about how it had got into the office in the first place. "We should get it to Maya. She should be able to identify it." And get rid of it too. Or really just get it AWAY FROM HIM! |
YOU and YOU. *points* <3 "I didn't, last night," Jared said. He decided not add that people could not get, unscathed, into his office unless he permitted them. He had obviously not put spells that might affect certain creatures, in place. He didn't need the death of someone's misshapen pet on his hands, thank you. Loophole in his guard, he knew, but it could not be helped. Point? He had left the door half open, and he had been sure no one could get in. No one had. The cat? The cat had decided to be Zookara's problem, now. He turned to Jeremy. "It might be contemplating that now," he pointed out, deadpan. Flying into his face. "I suppose." He did not, however, move. Jeremy could take it to Maya. Jared did not, despite his usual fondness for most creatures, like this cat. He slipped his glove back on, silent. |
Right. "Well, I can't be away from the Hospital much longer than I have, so I should be going." Yep. Lily nodded, tossing an amused look at Zookara and that cat. He would probably kick it after she left, but that thing looked lethal, it might just be able to take care of itself. "You boys have fun with your new friend." She called, turning out of the hall and heading back to the Hospital. |
Jeremy turned his head slightly to be able to roll his hazel eyes at Jared. "Ha Ha. Yes, very funny." He commented sarcastically not without a quick worried glance at the cat though. No, it couldn't fly. It was way too fat for that...besides, where were its wings?! NO! Lily couldn't just leave! "But-" He objected when she turned to leave, leave him alone with the thing and the person who didn't close his office door AND took fat things for a walk in his arms. It was useless, though, apparently since Lily still left the gallery without another moment of consideration. Staring into the direction the Healer had just disappeared off to for a moment, Jeremy finally moved his gaze back to Jared with a small sigh. "Would you mind taking it off my feet?" Yes, because the thing had decided to have a nap on his shoes. And the thing was HEAVY! |
Sitting on the floor of the armor gallery, next to a rather impressive display of an ancient samurai outfit, Sabel shuffled the deck of cards he had brought absently. Back against the wall, knees drawn up and forearms resting lazily over them as his fingers worked the cards back and forth between one another, he let his eyes drift over each set that was presented in the hall. He had begun his retreat to the silence of the gallery thinking back on the readings Kellen and him had done in Divination class, pondering them and getting those wrinkles in his forehead Lexi kept telling him were going to stick and stay stuck. Now, he was absent of such thoughts, simply enjoying the detail before him, relaxed and comfortable for the time being. |

In one fluid motion she folded herself into the floor in front of him and smiled as she picked at a loose thread at the bottom of her jeans. "Gonna tell me my future?" she asked with a grin. |
Quote:
Tilting his head, he watched as Lexi sat down before him. "I'm going to...try?" Chuckling, he folded his legs underneath himself. "You sure you want to do this?" |
Quote:
"No I am not sure... but let's do it anyway. Really... what is there to fear? The cards might tell me I will die tomorrow... better that I know today," she said in a light tone. She really was joking around a bit. |
Quote:
A playful roll of his eyes took over his gaze as he handed the tarot deck to her. "Shuffle." Resting his hands on his knees he gave her a reassuring smile. "And we aren't doing any type of reading like that." |
Quote:
She took the cards and began to shuffle them meticulously. Who knew she was slightly OCD about such things. Hehe. "Yes, well. Whatever type of reading you are doing should be interesting," she said with a little nod as she held the now shuffled deck of tarot cards back to him. |
Quote:
Shifting slightly in a rocking motion, he nodded at the deck. "You can take the top card or split the deck and take the top card from the bottom half." He wasn't sure exactly if that was how things were supposed to work, but he maintained that the reading would work better if the energy of the one getting the reading was with the cards. And for that, shuffling was best. |
Lexi pressed her lips together in a tight line to keep from laughing. Okay, Focus. Setting the cards on the floor between them she split the deck and took the top card from the stack. Turning it over and placing it on the floor she saw the Hanged Man. She wasn't sure what that meant... but she chewed her lip and looked to Sabel for an answer. Divination was a pretty useless subject in her opinion... she slept through it when she could. |
Quote:
Coincidence? Given this was divination there was probably another word for it. Letting out a small breath, he pushed the thoughts to the side. "It's about yielding. Taking pause in what you believe, suspending it and giving it up to see the world in a new way. It suggests there is meditation or trials to be had that will change perception, answer questions and shed light on things that have remained hidden. It requires the surrender for the acquirement of a new perspective and enlightenment. It may also be a time to rest and take a moment to gather yourself." Lowering the card, he handed it back to Lexi. "I would say, this is offering some advice for the near future." Especially with everything that was going on in the school in regards to Ikenna, the statue and all the topics about muggles. |
Quote:
Rest. Take a moment to gather herself. Hmm. Not bad advice. Shedding light on stuff. Sounded pretty spot on. Like it could be realistic or something. "Okay..." she said with a quirked brow. "Should I draw another card now," she said. |
