Arya stopped dead in her tracks. Not literally, that would have caused her to slip and fall off the pumpkin. Her semi-halt did cause her to teeter a bit. "You broke your elbow and wrist?" Was her friend even more clumsy in his childhood than he was now? It seemed impossible, but it seemed the only logical reason. She was staring at him, slightly befuddled as to how his accident happened. "You didn't have any padding on?" That would have helped lots. Feeling a light blush and |
*Matty walked down to the patch and started looking around. Pulling a book out of his pocket he looked down at the book.* "... found in pumpkin patches at... 3:30 on a Thursday... Odd little creatures." |

She stopped and he stopped and thankfully no one slipped or fell. Blinking up at her he managed his best innocent expression. "I did..." For both of her questions. "But it doesn't help when the guys that are checking you are about two times bigger in girth and muscle mass. Especially not when they check or fall on you when you're already tangled. It was the fall that broke my wrist, another player hitting me right after than did my elbow in." Oh the joys of contact sports. Tightening his grip just a bit more, but in a secure way, he resumed walking beside her. "I'm sure I won't. Possibly sprain something, but that's about it. As for watching you skate, that actually sounds more fullfilling than skating myself." |

"Dude, why are you reading outside? A pumpkin patch is meant for fun like running around or roller skating." she said with a slight shrug then continued roller skating, finally she sat down and took her roller blades off; grabbing her sneakers from her bag and putting them on her feet. |
Quote:
"Huh? Whoa!" *Looking up he saw a pair of roller blades.* "W-W-Why are y-you roller b- in pumpkin patch?" *Yes they were for fun but not bladeing.* |

"H-how is it a ch-challenge if it wont work?" *He asked. Sitting up Matty rubbed the back of his head to find that he had fallen on a soft pumpkin. Ehhh looks like he would need a shower.* |
"Oh it works just fine actually, you really should try it sometime, though the courtyard's got much better ground to skate on." Hailey really just liked to surprise people, since she was always pushing the boundaries of skating terrain; this was just another mark on her checklist. "By the way, my name's Hailey St. James; 4th year Slytherin and Canadian transfer student." she shrugged slightly and adjusted the strap of her bag on her shoulder a little bit so that it wasn't uncomfortable. |

It wasn't hard for her to picture guys bigger than Sabel, he was so skinny. Not as skinny as she was though, but he wasn't the most buffest guy in the castle. He wasn't as thin as a twig either as he had stated earlier either. "Well no more hockey, I like you in one piece and bruise free." She patted the top of his head and ruffled his hair a bit, which was funny to her since had this been any other time she would have never been able to reach the top of his head. "Plus if we decide to race, you can stand at the finish line and let us know who won." It was only fair that they had a somewhat impartial judge. "It might be better if you just watch, I don't know any healing spells." She decided after hopping onto the next pumpkin, leaning on him a bit more as she did. |

There were so many of them. Most of them were orange and attached to their vines, as they should be, yet some of them were green, since they were not yet ripe for the pickin'. Some were well shaped, others were a mess because students had decided to attack them, but then again, it could have been birds as well. It most likely was a combined effort on both parts. Jayce lifted his head once again as he was asked a question. He nodded a reply and spoke. "Yeah.. we um.. we did." Siiiiigh. "Well.. i um.. i couldn't take not telling her anymore. You know? It kind of got to me i guess." he threw in a shrug there. "But she was upset, and i was too.. and i think we had just drifted apart over the summer, causing all of this. So, it wasn't reall your fault. It probably would have ended soon enough anyway." Totally not her fault. "Thanks i guess." |

Diggy? "Is 'Diggy' short for something?" she asked, the 'Greenwood' sounded slightly familiar, though. "It is nice to meet you too" she nodded, her arms crossed as she waited for the answer she was expecting, only he said something about NASCAR? "NASCAR? And vhat is that?" oh, please, don't let this be another nonsensical non-magical descendant. The girl wasn't precisely pleased to hear someone else had her name. It was too common, and she didn't like it much for that reason. Oh, the answer. Halloween, yes. Masterson, she'd heard of him from Cedric, only Cedric forgot to mention...he was a Professor? Really? The Hufflepuff boy was under the impression that Masterson was not a Professor, at least that's what he told her. "This Masterson, vhat does he teach?" she only knew he was the yellow ones Head of House, nothing else. The girl smiled briefly, "Only vhen summer hits" a relatively small nod could be seen, "Vut it is not the same as this" she gestured towards Hogwarts' little grounds. "Tell me, have you met Vladimir?" she was particularly curious about it, and decided to ask the boy. Eyes on Diggy. |

"T-Transferred from where?" *He didn't know of any schools out there. But then again he was still learning and you learn something new each day.* |

"Jayce," Hayley paused, taking a seat next to him on the pumpkin, not caring if her skirt got dirty or not because her friend was in need, "I really am truly sorry for what I did and of course I regret kissing you for what happened. It was wrong and don't you dare tell me it wasn't." She said, lying a little. She didn't regret it at all, but she kind of did for what happened between Trixie and him. She felt horrible really. "The feeling will be over soon, trust me. I've been through this situation before. It will just take some time." She added. Hayley stood up once again, brushing all the dirt from her white skirt from the pumpkin. "Alright, stand up we're going to do something that always cheers me up when something like this happens." She said holding out her hand with a smile planted upon her face. He would never know what was going to be in store for him. |

"Hi." he said. Why did she look familiar...? "Destiny?" he asked. Why would he be looking for something for Destiny. Much less his Destiny. Then it hit him. After turning nearly as red as his robes he said, "Umm... actually... Destiny and I aren't dating... and weren't dating." he said running a hand through his hair. "It was a love potion...." he added quietly. |
Quote:
"I know, but it doesn't matter now. What's in the past is well.. in the past." he replied, truthfully. "We can't change it now, can we. And i can honestly say that i don't really regret that kiss." Okay.. maybe just a little, but what did it matter now? No use dwelling on it, right? Even though he was sorta stuck on the break-up. "I do trust you." Jayce replied earnestly, staring into her eyes, once again. Those pretty eyes, and her new blond hair.. it.. it reminded him of.. of.. her.. Siiiiiiiiiiiigh. Jayce tilted his head, following her with his eyes as she stood and dusted her skirt off. "What? Merlin's beard, what are you going to do with me?" he asked before taking her hand and standing himself. "What are we going to do? Or more importantly, where in the world are you taking me?" |

She never could work out what she did or said to cause boys to go red when she was around. But then he went on to explain and Mia understood. Now she had heard of love potions but she had never encountered anyone who had been under the influence of one. For some odd reason it kinda made her want to try it out just to see what she would and how it would feel. "Well at least you're not talking in rhymes anymore. That was a little scary." Along with the whole stalker thing but she was tactful enough not to say that. "Hmm I take it that Destiny didn't actually know the side effects of what was going to happen when she administered it?" Mia wasn't bright but that much she did pick up on. How could she not when Destiny had been hiding behind her on the train. She finally managed to give Carter a smile and gestured towards the pumpkins. "They're pretty awesome looking. Old Artie would be jealous if he could see these." |
Quote:
o______O She had to agree with him. It was in the past and it was time to move on. Once he said he didn't regret the kiss, she smiled at him. He trusted her and she couldn't help but mentally awwwww at him. Hehe. Hayley laughed at Jayce as he started to ask all these questions. "You said you trusted me, Mr." She said poking him in the chest. "Just follow me." She said with an amused smile upon her face. Okay so what first....hmm....she let go of Jayce's hand and said, "Okay stay here. Don't turn around, okay?" She didn't wait for an answer as she ran past him, up the rows of pumpkins, searching for a smashed one. Hayley had a very evil plan that could be fun, well it usually was fun with friends, and this could work out very good. She kneeled on the ground, picking up a handful of pumpkin guts and walking, slowly and silently towards Jayce. She was 5 feet behind him when she through the pumpkin guts at him, watching as it hit his back and she turned around running, through the rows of pumpkins that way he wouldn't get her. Hehe, she had a feeling war was about to start. She stood between two large pumpkins, laughing at Jayce as the pumpkin guts stuck to his shirt. |

"Well... she was kinda hoping that something else would happen. She wasn't giving me a love potion because she wanted me to fall for her..." he said. Did that accurately describe what had happened? Kinda? Maybe? Oh, yay! Pumpkin talk. That wouldn't be awkward. At least he hoped it wouldn't be. "Yeah. I kind of want to get my hands on one and make a pie." he said patting the closest one. Or get one, enlarge it, and hide in it. Either option worked. "Old Artie...?" he asked. Hopefully that wasn't someone he was supposed to know. Because... you know... he didn't. |

Well she would hardly call what he had been doing poetic but then again what would she know? Bending down, Mia picked up a small flower from the ground and twirled it in her fingers as she listened to Carter explain the details of what had happened. "You don't have to explain it to me Carter. We hardly know each other and quite frankly it's none of my business. Everything seems to have worked out now?" Of course she was curious but he looked so embarrassed that she didn't want to push it. "I like pumpkin pie." Mia said matter-of-factly, "Although I am not very good at making one. I'm not much good at cooking at all." She shrugged her shoulders, apparently she took after her mother in that area. "But I sure do like eating them and these look absolutely delectable." Mia looked at Carter and laughed. "Sorry. Artie lives in the commune back home. He's in charge of growing the fruit and vegetables along with his wife Maggie. He would probably have kittens if he could see this." She looked over at the pumpkins and wished that she had a camera so that she could take a picture of them. "Of course if this was his pumpkin patch then he would be chasing us out of here with a stick and threatening to beat us black and blue if he ever caught us in here again." And yeah she had gotten a few bruises from that stick over the years. |

Doing as she asked, Jay stayed perfectly still, waited for her instructions as of what to do now. He moved his feet around, making the dust come up again, and swirl around him. For some odd reason, he liked watching the dirt in the air. It was somehow intriguing. But as he grew bored, which was only about 20 seconds later, he was extremely tempted to turn around. But mehhh. He'd follow her lead into whatever it was she was doing. Grrrr. What was she doing? He was just about to turn around when.. WHAM. He was hit with something slimy and gross. And eww. It was seeping threw his shirt, as he turned around to try and touch whatever it was, he saw Hayley laughing at him. Duh. It dawned on him finally. She had throw pumpkin at him. With an evil smirk upon his face, he found himself a butchered pumpkin. He picked some of it up, and began running towards Hayley, making sure not to trip over the various vines. "I'm going to get you Hayley!" He shouted as he ran towards her. |
Quote:
"Oh no you won't!" She yelled back grabbing some more pumpkin guts and throwing it at him once again running away from him. However the forest was creeping up towards the end of the pumpkin patch and she couldn't go anywhere without him catching up. So she would just have to keep throwing. Although even if Jayce won this war, he would be happier and that's what her key point was for this little war of their's. To get his thoughts away from the breakup between him and Trixie to what was happening now with him and her. |
Quote:
"When i'm done with you, that white skirt of yours will be orange!" he yelled towards her as he bent over to scoop up some more pumkin to throw. Standing up, he ran towards her again, as she grew closer to the forest. Not many places for her to go now, eh? Mwahaha. He was evil. Growing closer to Hayley, he hoped to get close enough to smear it all over her shirt. Now, that would be fun. He chucked some more pumpkin at her, and still ran towards her, even though he didn't have any in his hands to throw at the moment. |
Quote:
Jayce kept hitting her with the pumpkin guts and she threw some back at him in return. However it seemed like the both of them were drenched in it. She watched as he ran towards her...wait with no pumpkin? "Wait, what are you doing?" She asked her eyes widening as he ran towards her. She took fast steps backwards, hitting a tree and she closed her eyes, not wanting to see what would happen. |
Quote:
Jay was enjoying this little war of theirs. It was definitely a lot of fun. Wait.. This was what she did to cheer herself up? How'd she do it if there weren't any pumkins? Huh. As he got closer to Hayley, he realized she stepped back, and stayed against the tree. Interesting.. He got closer to her, in touching distance now and was so tempted to go get some pumpkin. Instead.. he hid behind the tree, and leaned around the tree to whisper in her ear. "Open your eyes." As soon as he said it, he moved back around, hopefully concealing himself enough so that she couldn't see him. |
Quote:
She did as she was told and opened her eyes, turning around just to see the tree. She tilted her head to the side and turned back around, facing the pumpkin patch, leaning forward, looking behind big pumpkins to see if Jayce was there. "Jayce? Where are you?" She asked, worried, standing in the same place he just seemed to be. |
