Callie felt terrible. She'd been so unsupportive of Jack, not that she was the most supportive person in the world. No. Correction. Callie was possbily the most unsupportive person in the world, like when her brother was all worried about his 'lady friend' being pregnant Callie had sorta acted like he was making a fuss out of going to the shop to buy something that was broken or something stupid like that. It was hard to be supportive of James she did have to admit because once you were he took advantage of that. Back to Jack. Okay, it wasn't her fault she didn't like Rhea but maybe being less blunt about it would've helped.

meh. Life was complicated.

And....that was unexpected. So one minute they were arguing and whatnot and now he was..hugging her ? She wriggled her arms out and wrapped them around him because he was her bestie and she wanted to be the bestest bestie in the world to him. Yeah, that could prove a challenge. "I suppose...." not. she added in her head. "But, when she comes to you with all her problems and whines and crys and wants you to be all boyfriendy and and all that weird stuff." yeah she watched TOO many movies. "Then dont come crying to me." That wasn't very bestie like -_- A you know ? Giggle. "You mean a giiiiiiiiiiiiirrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrlfriennnnnnddddd ." she said streching out the words and smirking at the older boy.

Callie frowned. She didn't wanna talk about Cosette, she was mean and she insulted people. "Yes. Shes mean. She ACTUALLY insulted me." damn. She kinda just let on that Rhea hadn't insulted her. "I highly doubt that your telling me the truth." she said frowning at him. "And again when she breaks your little heart into trillions and millions of pieces when Ive been here All along then im not gonna help you because well...I was here all along but you were too busy with Cosette...Meanie." sticking her tonge out at Jack she pushed his arm from around her shoulder and glared at him.

Katie sat down on the ground, she got out a here notebook from her bag and started to draw, she was drawing the front gate, once in awhile she would have a sip of her water, at this moment Katie was finished her drawing, she put it away in her bag, she needed someone to talk to, someone nice and friendly, someone new...

Edmond was strolling by the front gate, trying to clear his mind, when he accidentally stepped on something. When he looked down he noticed it was a container with water and it was right next to a girl he had seen drawing. "Oh man, I'm so sorry." he said bending down, but not knowing what to do.

"Thats alright" Katie said as she looked up to the boy, he looked like her age "My name is Katie Star, First Year, Slytherin, Nice to meet you" Katie said as she stood up and smiled sweetly at the boy, she put out her hand to shake.

Edmond grinned and took her hand, shaking it firmly and then let go. "I'm Edmond Malfoy, First year Gryffindor." he said. Wow, another Slytherin. This must be a sign to his dilemma. He was supposed to be a Slytherin, too. "You're lucky you know." he said to Katie. She seemed nice.

"Why would you say I am lucky?" Katie said as she let go of his hand, Malfoy ha? normally a Malfoy would be in Slytherin, ah! thats why she is lucky, he must want to be in slytherin! Edmond seemed nice, Katie had ben smiling since she saw him and she still was.

"Well, you're a Slytherin," the best house ever and the house the dumb Sorting Hat refused to put him in. "Your family must be really proud, eh?" he grinned a bit sadly.

"Well all my family has been in Slytherin and most of them are proud of me" Katie said, she looked at edmond, he seemed to be a bit upset, Katie smiled sweetly again to try and make him happy "Don't worry about not being in Slytherin, your lucky, all my friends are in gryffindor, well, most of them" Katie said, maybe they should swap houses?

Edmond smiled. Katie had a very positive energy around her that lifted his spirits. "Thanks," he said, grinning shyly.

He then remembered, "You were drawing something, weren't you?" Edmond asked. He had spotted Katie scribbling something on her notebook before the incident and wondered if she was drawing or not.

Katie picked up her awesome drawing "Yes I was, I was drawing the front gate" Katie said as she handed the drawing to him to have look, ever since her camera brook she had started to draw and she had found that she is very good "Do you like drawing?" Katie asked.

Edmond examined the drawing. His eyebrows rose in amazement, "You draw really nice." he grinned. "I wish I could draw, but I can barely do stick figures." he chuckled. Katie was great at drawing.

"So, do you have any family here at Hogwarts?" Edmond asked, trying to get to know Katie a little more.

"Why Thank you" Katie said, she blushed a little, Katie chuckled as well "I could help you draw" Katie offered, she wouldn't mind helping him at all.

"Yes, I have a sister called Samantha and she is in her second year and a cousin named Scarlett, she is in her third year" Katie said, she needed to catch up with Scar "You?" Katie asked back.

"You're welcome." Edmond said, politely. Then Katie offered to help him draw, "That'd be awesome." he smiled. He wanted to learn how to draw a snake, hehe.

Edmond thought for a bit if he knew Katie's relatives, but apparently not. "It must be nice to have a sibling here." he smiled. "I have two cousins; Dianna and Emma Malfoy. I don't know if you know them." but she probably did since they were in Slytherin too. They hadn't failed like he did. "I also have a...step brother." his brows furrowed together at the thought of that guy.

"Ok, How about I show you how to draw tomorrow in the courtyard?" Katie asked as she put her drawing back in her bag, she could tell they were going to be great friends.

Dianna and Emma? Hehe... Katie knew them, they were good friends, "Yeah I know them" Katie said as she looked back at Edmond "Who is your step - brother?" Katie ased, hmmm.

"Yeah, sure." Ed grinned widely. He was finally going to get to learn how to draw.

He knew it. His cousins seemed to be popular, something that he wasn't, but oh well. Not being popular wasn't a bad thing either. "His name is Alaster." Edmond said with a frown. He hated that guy so much. "He keeps to himself a lot." and that was good.

Alaster, eh? Edmond sounded like he didn't like him that much, why was that? "Do you like your Step - brother?" Katie asked, maybe she was being nosy, "I'm sorry that I'm being nosy" Katie said.

"Nah, it's okay," he grinned. "I can trust you." Ed felt like he really could, Katie was after all nice. "I don't like him and he doesn't like me either." he paused and then continued, "You see, his mom was my father's first wife, but then they got divorced and three years later my father got married with my mum. Alaster thinks that my mum is at fault and that I am the reason my father won't go back to them." he shook his head, "His mom is evil, except to Alaster, and tried to ruin my father's wealth. I don't like either of them...at all. The first time I saw his mum she gave me this glare that could kill." Ed shivered at the memory. That woman was just plain evil! His mum is an angel compared to her. "How's your family like?" Ed asked.

"Wow, I can see why you don't like Alaster now" Katie said, poor Edmond.

"Well not to brag but my family is fine, there is not many dramas going on, it was school that was a drama" Katie said, she didnt mind talking about her school life with him, if he trusted her then she trusted him, simple, she could tell they were going to be great friends, she only wanted to tell him though if he wanted to know.

"Yeah," Edmond nodded, he felt better now.

"That is a good thing to hear," he smiled, glad that Katie's family was evil-lady-free. "Why is school drama?" he questioned.

"Well my muggle school" Katie said, she took a breath in and began "I only had one friend and everyone teased me, a girl named India was the leader of the teasing, she told everyone I was the odd, she made up rumors about, Alice was my friend and when India told her she told me and when I told the teachers they didn't believe me" Katie said.

Edmond felt bad for Katie. Why would someone do something so mean to Katie. "Don't worry, Katie," he said patting her shoulder, "that won't happen here, I won't let it," he smiled, "Plus, whatever goes around comes around." hopefully that India girl got some of her own medicince, hehe.

"Thanks Edmond, your really nice you know" Katie said, she chuckled at the thought of what would happen to India, Katie looked into Edmonds eyes, she doesnt know how many times she thought this but he was very nice, and handsome.

Edmond blushed a bit at the compliment. He's been receiving a few of those these days. "Thanks. You're a nice person too, Katie." he smiled. "So, are you excited about the Triwizard Tournament?" he asked.

"Why thank you Edmond" Katie said, she then thought, should she ask? "Edmond, I know we just met but, would you like to be my best friend?" Katie asked hoping the answer was yes.

"I am very exited, for some reason though I wish I could have put my name in the goblet, you?" Katie asked back, Katie could be very brave sometimes but other times she could be as scared as a scared perosn.

Edmond smiled wide, "You don't even have to ask..." he answered, "...best friend." Finally a friend he could count on and he was happy with his choice.

"I too wished I could have put my name in the Goblet, but facing dragons in my first year at Hogwarts...I don't think so." he laughed. Dragons could probably swallow him in one gulp. Not good. "But, it would be nice to have all the glory the champion is going to get." he commented. Yes, the glory would definately make his father proud. "Have you met any of the Champions?" Edmond asked.
