Room Four of the Hospital Ward and Healing Area Banner by: Gryffindoll OOC: Before posting in this thread, you must first have been called back by Healer Moretti. To be seen by the Healer, please post in the Check-in Area for Patients first then in the Waiting Room for Patients and Visitors. |
Witsy sat in a chair curled up in a blanket. Her nerves hadn't quite settled yet. After having cracked her knuckles, she started tapping on her chair with her feet. She wondered what time it was, trying to keep her mind occupied, upon waiting. |
"I see you're having some trouble falling asleep." Moretti started, entering the room and closing the door behind her, "Do you have any idea why that might be? Are you nervous, upset, excited about anything?" Sitting down, she added, "Or perhaps it was that you are away from home?" |
Witsy swallowed before answering. She put her legs down so that her feet dangled from the chair. "I've actually had this problem a month before I started school. I thought that when I'd start school everything would get better but I think it's gotten worse." She paused for a second kinda lost her thought. "I've been really excited about coming here and especially making Gryffindor was even more exciting. My wand's been acting funny too... I've been having trouble staying up in class." Witsy was staring at her feet now watching them sway back and forth. "Usually I just pace around the common room so I don't wake anyone." More like her excuse. "The nightmares are too frustrating... to sleep." Witsy started swaying her feet a bit faster now and slowly looked back at the nurse. |
Nightmares, huh? "And what are these nightmares about?" Lily asked, "Do you remember them?" |
Witsy thought about the question for a minute and re-shifted in her chair. She stuck her hands under her legs playing with the fabric. "I, uh, I'm usually in this... it's usually always dark and I have my wand as like a flashlight. I start to hear things that end up chasing me or surrounding me but I always freeze. My wand wants to shoot things out and I see flashes of red and blue light. It allows me to see the shadow of the things around me but then..." Witsy started perspiring a little, her brown eyes getting glossy just at the thought. She yawned and continued, "...but then the flashes I see wrap around me like Devil's Snare and the creatures grab me suffocating me and then I wake... usually gasping. I don't know what they are but I wake up with marks sometimes and... yeah," Witsy looked back down towards her feet and softly mentioned, "These dreams are usually the same but happen in different scenarios." She started turning a pink color in embarrassment. |
Lilyan nodded, "Sometimes dreams are quite scary, they feel real."As she spoke, she started to rummage through her vials. "Ah." She selected one and held it out to the girl, "Take this, it will help you sleep peacefully, pure rest, no dreams." |
Witsy looked at the vial and back up at the nurse. "Thank you," she said half smiling. Couldn't wait to sleep, she's been up for about 20 hours now. |
Alice walked into the room and sat down on an open chair. The bricks were still crashing around her, one just missing the Nurse's head. She waited for the Nurse to come over to talk to her since she was helping another girl at the moment. |
Rubiey sat next to Alice, smiling encourangingly at her. She wanted to ensure that Alice was okay. The nurse was going to come over soon. |

"All right." Lily pulled out a chair and sat down, fixing both of the girls with a serious, but still friendly look, "How about we start with you telling me what is going on, Alice." |

"Am I going crazy?" Alice asked, her voice quiet and tears starting to form in her eyes. "The muggle doctors couldn't explain it." |
"I can't make a diagnosis on something like this. You'll have to be seen at Mungo's." Lily shook her head, "But for now, I can give you a few potions to take with you. Whenever you start to feel that way, you just take one. The bout will stop almost immediately." Flicking her wand, Lily summoned a few tiny bottles to her, an held one out to the girl. "How often do they occur? Is there a chance you will have another soon? I should like for you to try the potion first, while in my care, so you can see how it will work." |

Alice reached a shaky hand out and took the potion bottle from the nurse. "Well the bout is still going on right now," Alice said, a brick smacking forcefully into her shoulder. Alice cringed at the impact, and rubbed her shoulder roughly. "Should I take this right now?" Alice asked, trying not to panic because that would certainly only make matters worse for her. She could already tell that her chair was starting to shake again...surely the bout wasn't going to start getting worse when it had been improving? "I'll usually get them once a month, but sometimes they are more spaced out. Like I didn't have a bout all summer...perhaps it's stress related..." |
"Stay calm." She instructed in an even tone, and then gestured that she should drink the potion now. "I can see that happening, you're young, and this is your first time away from home for an extended period of time." She waited to see how she would react to the potion, "Could just be a small case of homesickness. I don't think you need to worry too much." Worry might bring on more. |
Alice nodded at the nurse, and opened the container of the potion. She brought it to her mouth, and drank its contents slowly, not wanting to choke on it. Alice was pleased to find that it didn't taste bad, in fact it was pretty good. Alice breathed slowly, looking around the room, and to her pleasure saw that the bricks were starting to vanish mid fall, and her chair which had been shaking violently suddenly stopped. "It stopped," Alice said with a huge smile. Her hands were still shaking slightly, but the more Alice relaxed the less and less the shook until eventually they were completely still. "Do you think if I take enough of this the bouts will stop?" asked Alice hopefully. |
"It's certainly a possibility. But we will just take it slowly for now, all right?" Lilyan replied, as she placed the remaining bottles in a bag, to make it easier for her to carry out with her. "Be careful with these, they won't break, and won't hurt you, or anything, but make sure you take one as soon as you feel something coming on." |
Alice reached out and took the bag from the nurse. "Thank you so much," Alice said with a smile. She stood up, wobbling slightly as she did so, before falling back into her chair. "Oh...I feel a bit light headed," Alice said. |
"You'll be just fine. Walk slowly." Lily encouraged with a nod,"No sudden movements, and no running for at least the next twenty minutes." She stood and flicked her wand at the door, it opened with ease. OOC: This thread is now closed to this session and will be assigned to another student. |
Salander limped towards Room Four just as the Healer directed him. He felt his leg take on a strange sensation of both numbness, and pain as he collapsed to take a seat. He stared at his leg, it took on a strange, dark pinkish hue. And he thought it felt cold. Maybe this bandage is too tight he mumbled as he fidgeted with his wound. |
"Ah ah ah! Don't touch." Lily breezed into the room, motioning with her wand as she talked, "Lift your leg up, though, I need to take a look at it." As she waited for him to move around, she wandered over to her cupboards and rummaged about, "Does it hurt still?" |
His hand froze mid-fidget when the Healer swooped in like a cop on an oblivious joyrider. Pointed the wand like one too as Salander felt like ducking for cover like it would go off at any second. "Okay, okay Miss!" he replied partly raising his hands in surrender. He shifted uncomfortably to raise his leg onto the other chair when commanded "Ow.ow.ow.ow.ow..." he mumbled, feeling the wound at the back of his knee stinging painfully as it stretched the bite marks, dried blood cracking and peeling off. "It hurts here." he said pointing behind his knee. He poked at the other other bite marks on his shin and at the side of his leg "Eh... these kinda feel numb..." he added as he pressed onto the pinkish-purplish bruises "Oww." Ok, now that hurt. |
"Here." Lilyan handed over the pain potion, and wiggled it lightly, "Drink up, it's for the pain." And, while he was at it, she flicked her wand, cleaning up all of the blood, and sealing up the wounds. "It looks worse than it actually was." She had actually already healed it up. "So, as soon as you drink that, try standing, walk about a little." |
Salander took the potion and gave it a swig. It had this peculiar taste he couldnt quite place, but he did start to feel better. He looked down at his leg, watching the Healer seal up his wounds She makes it look so easy... he mused. "Is it?" he asked amazed. It had hurt like hell and very nearly looked it as well, but he guessed it was good news when the Healer says its not so bad. "So I get to keep my leg after all then Miss?" When requested he stood gingerly on his healed leg, then walked slowly about the room. It felt just about as good as new. He gave his leg a goodnatured tap, glad that its back in action "Heh, looks like its good and rarin' to go. Thank you Ma'am... Miss... erm, Healer." he said extending his hand. "My name is Salander by the way, Slytherin House." |
