Personality: Hecate is not the nicest person in the world. She does not like failure and loathes stupidity. Appearance: Eye Color: Brown Hair: Dark Brown Skin: Fair Height: 5'6 History: Hecate was born on leap day in a poor pureblood family. Her family can date their lineage back to Gunhilda of Gorsemoor, but as generations went by the fortune that came with being a pureblood was no longer associated with them. She was the third child of nine children, an eldest brother, then one older sister, herself, two younger sisters and four bothers after that. Both her father and mother neglected her, so Hecate grew up knowing she couldn't depend on anyone but herself... she vowed to succeed in everything she did. In school she was top of her class, prefect and head girl. Before she began Wizarding University, at the Edinburgh, Scotland campus, she cut all connection with her family. At university she had the highest grades and she was named most likely to succeed. She went to work for a Scottish potioneer named Gavin Grey, as an apprentice. He was 20 years her senior but the two worked long hours late together and soon fell in love. They had a winter wedding. All their friends were of the same mind. They were the perfect couple. Unfortunately their marriage ended after two and a half years of marriage when Gavin's died in an exploding cauldron incident. The potioneer lab was left to Hecate. A few months later Hecate was given a near to impossible request for a potion to cure a man by the name of Terrance Tralkey who was dying of a rare malady. Hecate worked hard day and night for months and was able to finally brew a successful potion to save the man's life. Terrance Tralkey and Hecate spent so much time together that they fell in love, and even though he proposed many times, she didn't accept for a year or so. Unfortunatly, Terrance developed a side effect to her cure and while Hecate continued to work to reverse the side effect, he died suddenly, leaving her an undisclosed fortune. This is when the press had a field day. Hecate was successful in creating the potion to reverse the side effect, a year too late. She needed to get away from the press so she quit her job, and left the lab in Scotland to travel to Sydney Australia where she stayed for nearly two years.. On her plane ride back to Scotland, because Australia was too bright, too hot and too filled with arachnids, Hecate sat next to a man who began chatting her up. Libatius Lavery, an auror with the ministry of magic, had just been released from a muggle prison where he'd been wrongfully imprisoned, and was returning to London. By the time they landed, Libatius proposed to Hecate. She told him never to speak to her again. Libatius didn't give up, with his resources found out where she lived and send roses upon roses every day, with love notes and candy. After a few years of wooing she allowed him into her heart and soon after they married. Hecate continued to make all sorts of potions, while Libatius worked for the ministry... but one cold November day Hecate was visited by his superiors and informed her husband had been killed in the line of duty by a female death eater that they could not identify. This is when the press dubbed her The Black Widow, ironic because of her (and her typists) fear of arachnids. Hecate closed herself in her lab and dove head first into her work. She has made progress in many potions fields, not only limiting herself to healing, but also cosmetic and gastronomical. Finally, because her money had run out (potion ingredients aren't cheap,) Hecate applied to Hogwarts for the Potions job, which she currently holds. He is introverted except when he is 'on' at which point he is chameleon-like and changes to fit the situation. He is otherwise fairly bookish and he thinks of himself as boring, although sensitive might be a better description. He has a bad case of wanderlust on both a large scale and a small scale; though he isn't fidgety and can happily sit still for hours on end. He is a romantic with eclectic tastes ruling every aspect of his life. He's stubborn and has a very specific idea of what honour is, though he's adjusted it to suit his needs. He expects a lot from his students because he expects a lot from himself. He'll do anything to be sure that his students are learning and understanding, even going so far as taking them on excursions during the summer months. His 'friendship' with Bunbury has changed him, just as the duel with Kazimeriz had changed him. He occassionally has flashes of good humour through his otherwise morose and apparently deadpan exterior. He is only now starting to let go of the baggage he has with Kazimeriz, no longer hoping for a resolution. History: Ethan attended Hogwarts as a Slytherin student from his first year until his fourth year before transferring to the Wizarding Academy of Dramatic Arts (WADA) for his 5th and 6th years. He sat his NEWTS and graduated before he was of age. During this time he was tutored privately by Valon Kazimeriz and developed a mentor/student relationship with him, though Ethan was never able to impress Kazimeriz and never once heard a word of praise from the man he learned most of his wandwork from. He spent his first year out of school working in a theatre in Muggle London, where he was exposed to Shakespeare. The bard become a love of his and when he finally passed an audition to be regular cast at Wizarding Theatre, managed to convince the owners to allow an Wizarding adaptation of Romeo and Juliet to be performed featuring the Wiggenweld potion. That soon became his job description and he spent four years rewriting muggle stories for Wizarding audiences; often purebloods that had no idea at all of the origins of the plays they so enjoyed. He'd occassionally take 'vacations' where he'd end up exploring the globe for several weeks, by sea or by land and only very occassionally by sky. Just before his 23rd birthday, Ethan decided he was growing bored and decided to expand his mind and see the world. All of it. He decided to visit relatives in Hungary and along the way, stumbled into a dragon reservation. He impressed the keepers there by accident and was offered a job. He stayed and worked with Hungarian Horntails until he was 25 before moving first to New Zealand and then to Peru to learn about the native dragons of those countries. Through the connections he made with his work and his travels, Ethan also fell into the opportunity to help with Nundu control and to this day he is still called upon to make up numbers when a Nundu is reported as terrorising muggle villages. By the time he was 28, having spent five years working with dragons without the intention ever having being present in the first place, Ethan decided to pursue his acting career once more; opting for musical theatre this time and finding that it fit him perfectly. He was soon disenchanted with the attention garnered by sold out performances and left without warning less than a year later. He got a position at the ministry where he was required to trawl through and catalogue the contents of the vault containing books confiscated and hidden during the Wizarding Wars. His interests again took him abroad when he accompanied an expedition of curse breakers to Egypt, getting in contact with old friends he had made during his travels when he was younger, and at 31 was beginning to make a name for himself as a Historian. As work dried up, Ethan took the volumes he was researching and was employed as History of Magic professor at WADA, teaching students that were much more focussed on his dabbling as an actor than on the subject he taught. Once again ready for a change, he jumped at the chance when offered the HoM position at Hogwarts. During the summers he travels, often with Anastasia Bunbury. He often ends up working in Egypt and still takes an interest in the progress of one of his favourite former students, who is currently studying at the University of Cairo. Ghosts, merpeople, epic duels and multiple misunderstandings have made up the majority of his time teaching at Hogwarts. And lets not forgot a certain incident where self-proclaimed acting headmaster, Kazimeriz, fired him. Or the part where former school mate Gaellen 'Casey' Tate arrested him and roped him into an elaborate ruse which involved being imprisoned in Azkaban for 7 months. On the bright side his return was timely and he did his part to protect students from the real bad guy. He also earned himself an arrow through the arm, a slightly crooked jaw and of course, that pesky probation was struck from the record. He now finds himself, ironically, teaching DADA. The very position Kazimeriz once held up until Ethan unintentionally and regretfully crippled him. |

Personality: Lucky doesn’t let people push her around since she’s been pushed around by her brothers for so long, which goes to say she doesn’t let people tell her what to do unless they have authority (Parents, Professors, Prefects, etc.) There are exceptions to this, though. She would so rather prefer being with her group of friends History/Background: Lucky was born in Verona, Italy at 6:49 PM on a dark and stormy day. She lived in Italy for eight years after she was born, and then the Torelli's moved to Volos, Greece where they resided for one year. During that one year, Juliette -- the second girl and the last Torelli child -- was born. After Juliette was born, Mr. Torelli had some problem at his work with his fellow co-workers. He worked as a waiter in a restaurant that was approximately forty miles from where his house was. Before anything got worse between him and his coworkers, Mr. Torelli just quit his job. He decided to move his family to the United States just to get away from everyone for a bit. It was one of those "I need to getaway from my problems" moment. They resided in the little town of Beaver in Oklahoma. Population: 1,570. Very small town. Lucky and her family stayed in Beaver, Oklahoma for two years. Once Lucky turned 11, she received her letter to go to Hogwarts. She begged and pleaded to her parents to let her go there, because she did not want to be homeschooled like her brothers had been since each of them had turned 11 years old. They bought a nice one story house out in the middle of nowhere, or at least Lucky thinks it's out in the middle of nowhere. And Nottingham, England is where the family is currently staying. Once school time came around, Lucky went to Hogwarts and was sorted into Slytherin, and her older brothers were also sorted into Slytherin. Ever since her first year at Hogwarts, she has never been in the spotlight seeing as her older brothers didn’t want her to get caught up in all the drama and all the weird happenings that happened in the school. Now that all of her older brothers except one have graduated, and she was about to be a mature and proper fifth year, she decided it was time to stop letting them control her life and go out and do what SHE wanted to do. |

I am a transfer student from the Liverpool Academy of Witchcraft. I have thick, black, hair with blood red streaks to match my eyes. I have pail skin, and red lips. They met by chance in the park across the street from the Ministry of Magic. His mother had just finished her application to the Ministry and his father was on his first day at work just on a coffee break. His mother was sitting with her older and younger sister, India and Tomasina respectively. His mother fell in love with his father the first time she saw him. Dillon does talk a lot, but he can be quiet when he is around people he doesn't know. He loves being around people, but the only time he wants to be alone is with his twin JoJo. He does keep a journal of his adventures. His aunt Zaire is an author and he sent him the journal and if he can't work with his grandfather he wants to be an author. He loves his family more than anything. He really took to the big brother role. He always had his little brothers , the twins Ben and Devon, with him. He switched out her shampoo with fungus growing cream. She freaked out and to get him back she charmed a few tomatoes to attack him in the bathtub. His parents found him behind the toilet in tears and shaking from head to toe. Paris didn't mean to scare him that much, but he had been 7 years old when it happened, and ever since he's been scared to death of tomatoes. His uncle made him pass out last year from flicking a spot of ketchup on him. Like his mother Diggy can see through to the inner core of people to see their emotions, well when he's calm enough to look. Like his entire family he wears his emotions right on the surface, he can't hide how he feels about anything. And he does have a quick temper that fizzles out just as quickly as it blazes up. He is small and not very strong so people tend to take that as weakness. Well they only do it once. After her friends and family, the next important thing in his life is Quidditch. He takes Quidditch very seriously and will do anything to get on a broom. Background Info: Aaron Anderson lives and has grown up in a Muggle neighborhood in the middle of London. He is an only child and only had muggle friends. His best being a boy named Todd. Having two wizarding parents, Aaron couldn't wait to get his letter to Hogwarts when he turned 11. And alas, he did. The summer before his first year he met his 3 best friends in Diagon Alley. Iris Beaumont (who introduced him to Quidditch), Fallon McCarthy, and Satine Farris. When arriving at Hogwarts Aaron was not suprised when he got sorted into Slytherin because both his parents were in it. After having NO experience at all, Aaron signed up for Quidditch and made it on the team as a Chaser reserve. He even got to play a match. Unfortunetly for Aaron, he can not fly a broom anywhere in his neighborhood so there was no point in Aaron getting a broom for his home. Aaron has a pet owl named Avery. She is a brown Elf owl. Her mum immersed herself in the world of theatre after something tragic happened to her that she just won't tell Lenalee. Her mother met her father at a charity fashion show that he was the main photographer for and, as such things go, they fell madly in love. She was also primarily raised by her Nanny and the butler. Mostly because of her outbursts of magic, she could never go to boarding school and was privately tutored. She had a relatively easy time last year, adjusting to being in a dorm was the hardest part, but never made any friends because of her shy demeanor. Summer was the same as always. Well, excepting the fact that she nearly killed a muggle on the tube and had to go before the Wizengamut. They issued her a bracelet that traps excess magical energy to keep her from blowing people to pieces. It's a rather ugly thing but she has to wear it or risk expulsion, or worse. Likes: DADA, Dark places, Aggressive people, Swimming, Reading peoples auras (Natural talent), Procrastination, Dark Coffee, Dark Chocolate, and knitting sweaters for Jack to tear up. Dislikes: People who lie to even themselves, flirting, and Mondays. Personality: Reserved with a side of possibly dangerous to herself and others. Liars really set her off. She can't stand false smiles. She was raised to be respectful and polite always but now that she nearly killed someone just because she was faking nice... She doesn't do that anymore. She tells the brutal, honest truth. She can say nothing at all, it's what she usually does, but why chance another outburst that might break the only thing holding her back? |
