"See, my mum is muggleborn. So whenever we visit her side of the family, I get to experience their life and culture. So I know both worlds fairly well." she said, smiling to let him know she wasn't being mean.

"Ah," Ivan nodded, "maybe you could be some kind of culture-translator. There seems to be a need for a lot of those."

Ellie giggled. In an innocent and confused way.

"Wait, are there really such things?" she asked. That sounds so weird, but she'd be glad if it were true. Something she didn't know! Yay! Haha. Of course, she didn't know many of the things she was learning in school so far. Her dad mainly taught her convenient and simple spells, more than these in-depth things.

"I have no idea," Ivan answered honestly, a light smile on his face, "but they'd sure come in handy. My guess is that if there were, they'd work at the Ministry."

Searching the tables for a terrain similar to the far east, where the Demiguise was indigenous, she came across all sorts of creatures. But here eyes came to a halt at a forested region. Now where was that Demiguise. "Come out little Demiguise. Come show me how strong and ferocious you are."

..........

Nothing...
But she was set on finding the little bugger and so Becca went about it in a different way and said, "Oh come on! Don't tell me you're scared!" There was a rustling in the forested region and all of a sudden, a big ape-like creature emerged and let out a huge roar. Becca smiled at her triumphant victory, before hurrying to fill out ths clipboard.

The creature I observed: Demiguise.
I found it in this environment: deeply forested area.
Three things it did while I watched were: -be invisible -show itself -ROAR!
Something new I learned while observing: Demiguises take pride in their strength/bravery.
I think I'll name my new mini critter: Mango(hard on the outside, but sweet and soft on the inside =)

And then checked to see if Mango was still there. Good, he was. Hm, Becca thought, I wonder how Herman'll take to him.

"That does seem like a good idea." she said..

"So, what am I supposed to do here?" she had suddenly got in the mood to watch the animals. And talk. She could do both at the same time, right? She was a good multi-tasker.

"Ohh, gnomes are quite creepy too," Vashti agreed with a nod. "Jarvey?" She paused, trying to remember what sort of animal that was. "Oh, those ferret-like things? They...hunt gnomes, don't they?"

Turning for a few moments back to where the little fwooper - so colorful and pretty! - was, she observed it for a few moments, writing down what it did.

SPOILER!!: Vashti's clipboard
1. The creature I observed was: Fwooper
2. I found it in this environment: Forest
3. Three things it did while I watched were: Flew around, opened its beak (as if trying to sing, maybe?), flew to its nest of pretty eggs
4. Something new that I learned while observing was: They're really cute and colorful!
5. I think I'll name my new mini-critter:

Hm, now to think of a name...

Arya had known about the Job fair for a while, but was only now making it to the Great Hall. Skipping around the booths, she came to a skidding hault when she spoted a mini forest covering one of the tables. Magical Creature Reservations, her brother worked at one and she loved creatures enough strongly consider working at one as well. Though she was only twelve, so she had more than enough time to pick a career. Peering over the table, she watched the creatures roam about the table, patiently waiting for one of the booth peoples to attend to her.

Staying longer than a month was just much too long. The only place she was content with staying longer was Hogwarts, but then again she didn't have to pay to stay here so that was probably her reasoning for that. "What do my N.E.W.T. grades need to be? Or do you accept only O.W.L's too?" Rae couldn't really see herself a N.E.W.T. student.

Denise thought about that for a moment, sending a frown over Ivan's way at his canyon of a distance he was keeping between them. Shrugging, she looked back at the other girl. "For a trapper, you would need to be knowledgable in most of the magical creatures that you will be following, in plants and environments."

She tapped a long finger against her chin in thought and then frowned down at the dirt caked under her nails. With a determined frown across her face, she set to work trying to remove it. "So N.E.W.T.'s would be helpful but they are not neccessary. A lot of it is on hands training and feild work. If you can find someone that can take you on as an apprentice, then O.W.L's should be fine. More education, the broader your opportunity is." She gave a shrug and bit her nail, chewing on it a little bit. "Goodness knows I was only an O.W.L. student."

She was about to go on about all the education Ivan required for his profession, but was caught by a shout at one of the creatures on the table. Good thing Demiguise weren't skitterish, though who knows how many other creatures she sent running on the table.

With a sigh, she reached over and plucked the little thing up, handing it over to the girl. "Maybe you can teach it some manners." Though more than likely the two would be getting into a yelling contest. "...Err....Mango." She corrected, glancing at the girl's clipboard.

Denise spared a long glance over to Ivan, one that said how much she would have preffered to be home, having a nice hot shower right now than at this job fair. But she owed favours, and she owed Ivan a few too. With a sigh, she rolled her head over to the newcommer and inched her way to Ivan. Her feet were sore, and he was a good leaning post. "Can I help you with something? Anything in particular you are looking for or want to know about?"

"Well, you do have plenty of time to make your decision," Ivan smiled. It wasn't like she was a seventh year, after all. When she asked about the display, Ivan slid his hands into his pockets and rocked slowly back and forth on his heels, "There are two ways you can do this, really. Pick a creature from the book, or think of a creature you'd like to have a miniature of. Then just observe it in its natural habitat, fill out the sheet, and presto! Done."

Ellie nodded.

"Okay, so there's an Abraxan or an Aethonon in here?" she asked. How many animals could they possible fit in there?

"Both," he nodded encouragingly. He wasn't going to help her spot them - that was part of the game, after all - but he didn't mind continuing to chat. "It's a big table."

Wow.

"So, you have every beast in here?" she asked.

"Every beast known to the Wizarding World," he pseudo-corrected her. After all, they couldn't have toys of creatures they didn't know about, even if the beasties were out there, could they?

Is that even possible?

"So, you have like a Basalisk in there?" Ellie asked. How was that possible!? Every beast in a teeny tiny 'lil thing?!?

"Nooohhohoho..." she laughed.

"But definitely something pretty.... And easy to find... That's no where near the basalisk or acromantula...."

In a completely casual tone, Ivan looked up at the ceiling and innocently remarked, "Dragons... are pretty..." Yeah, not showing that bias at all, buddy. Ten points.

"Some dragons are, I think. Like a Swedish Short-Snout... Or an Aper... Ader... Anterr.... Something.." She fixed her face as if she was thinking hard. What was that one called... Gahh, she could picture it...

"Antipodean Opaleye?" he suggested. He couldn't blame her for tripping up over the name, it was certainly a mouthful.

Arya was watching a herd of Abraxan when the woman approached her. Looking up from the mini forrest, she smiled at the woman and thought about the questions she was asked. Many answers she could get from her brother, but it couldn't hurt to get a different opinion right? "Um, yes. I was wondering about what I would have to do in order to work at a Reservation. And what kind of jobs they have at the reserves?" Yes, those were good questions to start off with.

Ellie smiled and finally took a board. She read the following on it,
Quote:

Magical Creature Hide 'n Seek!

Find a beastie, observe a beastie, keep a beastie!

How to play: Choose a creature from Scamander's bestiary. With a magnifying glass (as some are quite small), locate your chosen creature using the information in the book and your keen observation skills. Then answer these questions:

1. The creature I observed was:
2. I found it in this environment:
3. Three things it did while I watched were:
4. Something new that I learned while observing was:
5. I think I'll name my new mini-critter:
And glanced into the little thingy... looking for that pearly dragon...
