Jake raised his hand again. He really only knew ths because he was so clued up on candy. And knowing everything about the sweet stuff helped knowledge in other areas.

Lucy raised her hand eagerly. "Professor--Billywigs are tremendously fast, and so they are not noticed by Muggles. However, witches and wizards notice them only after they have been stung."

"Weeell, they're about... two centimetres long?" Kiri suggested - which wasn't much more than a guess. The little insects kept zipping back and forth at high speeds.

Marie smiled at Evan when he sat next to her. Now it wouldn't seem so bad being out in the cold. Just being next to him made her feel warm and happy.
She looked closely at what was in the aquarium. Um yeah, they were pretty colored little things. She didn't really know what they were so she decided to just let everyone else answer. No sense in repeating the same thing anyway.

Oh goodness, they were pretty. "Billiwigs, Professor? Aside from their colour, they have stings that are used as a potion ingredient"

Kay really didn't know to much about the little things, so she wrote notes about everything that was being said. The Billywigs were dangerous and beautiful at the sometime. Kay only hoped that they wouldn't have to touch them.

Did no one mention the most obvious physical characteristic of them?

'They are ugly.' They were blue, and Destiny did not like that color.

"Well there very colourful....and ummm...are used in some product" She said, she couldn't fully remember what she had read about them, in that book

"Their incects so the must have six legs" answered Barry his hand up. Why did no one ever say the obvious?

As she swung her feet as she looked around listening to her classmates. She didn't recognize the creatures, they did intrest her though.

Miranda craned her neck to see the little creatures inside the tank-thingy. Oehehe, maybe they would be able to get stung. Snort. Miranda raised her hand. "Miss, the Billywigs are pretty fast when they buzz away, so people don't notice that they have a blueish color on them..."

"Very good, Brody, two points."
"That's true, Pierre. Their stings can cause levitation. Two points to you."
Iliana laughed. "That is only a rumor, Dylan," she remarked, though she had always believed it was true herself.
"Good answer Ivory. Yes, their wings are very unique to billywigs. Two points."
"Good answer, Jake. Two points for your answer."
"Correct. They are also easily hidden because of their teeny size. Two points for you, dear."
"Exactly right, Kiri. Two points for Slytherin as well."
"Wonderful answer," the professor proclaimed. "Often times people forget about the importance of potion ingredients.
Iliana frowned at Destiny and said, "Destiny, must you be so morose?" She shook her head at her and added. "I believe that is your opinion and not a common characterization."
"Maybe not a characteristic per se, but two points for your answer anyways," she said with a wink.
"Right, their dried stingers are used in potions," she clarified. "Two points."
Iliana laughed again. "Yes Barry. Billywigs have six legs." Sometimes even the most obvious answers were important to point out. "Two points."

Feeling suddenly tired, Iliana pulled out her wand and gave it a quick flick. When her wooden stool appeared she sat down straight away and took a deep breath. "Okay class, so now that we know the basics, I would like to give you the opportunity to see them up close. Did everyone bring their wands to today's lesson?"

Pierre smiled as he gained two points for his answer. He listened to her next question and nodded his head yes. If someone didn't bring their wand they truly weren't thinking. He always had his wand on him so that incase he was in need of it, it would be close by.

Ok so everyone else got points and he didn't. There had better be a reason for that. He had given a true answer. He had read the ingredients. And it was true. Evil Hot Lawson.

He pulled his wand out of his pocket in preparation.

Miranda grabbed her notebook and muggle pen from her bag and started to scribble whatever everyone was saying. Not that she didn't know it already, but it was good. Hehe.

Okay, that was a silly question. No, the question wasn't silly, it was the idea that some slow student had actually forgotten their wand. Hah! Miranda simply nodded, she always had her wand, and she brought it up, grabbing it firmly in her hand.

What were they going to do?

Did they bring there wands? That was like asking if they remembered to put on clothes today. Who wouldn't bring their wand? And if they didn't, then they must be a Hufflepuff...*coughcough*

Though she did catch the weird look that crossed the professor's face. Eh, whatever. If she wanted to sit, then she could sit. Though if she had an extra blanket around here somewhere, that would be even better...Taking out her wand to get her mind off of the coldness outside, she stood up and looked around. What was she supposed to call the Professor again?

Hey noooooo, she looked tired.

WHY did she suddenly look so tired, when she was all bouncy a second ago?

"Wands?!" Jake exclaimed, looking horror-struck. "Awwww, whuhh-why muhh-magiiiiic?"

He had brought it, and Jake took it out of his other back pocket to prove it.

But maaaaan. He liked it when this class didn't need magic.

Crud. No points for Destiny's opinion. At least she tried. *sad face*

She just shrugged her shoulders at the question, not really knowing if the professor wanted an actual answer.

'Yes!' she said excitedly, and pulled out her wand. See, she wasn't morose!

Seriousely, would there be anyone here that did not have their wand on them? That just seemed like a silly question to ask but, whatever. She grabbed her wand out of its holster and waited to see what they were going to do.

Kiri celebrated by sneezing violently. She flailed around in her robe pocket for a tissue. And a second one.
Sniffling even more, she crumpled them up and stuffed them into her bag, then took out her wand.

"Yes, I have my wand, professor," Ella informed her, twirling it above her own head for proof. Ella couldn't help but wonder what they were going to do. Some sort of magnifying spell..?

Wands? Even in this class? Yay! Evan liked casting magic. He smiled and nodded at the Professor as he took it out of his pocket. What were they supposed to do again?
