He sighed and said, "Xander just ask Sylvia out before she dies of jealousy." It was so obvious that they liked each other. "Do not turn this isn't another Jack and Reese thing. They took forever to get together."
"It's....big." Brody shrugged. There wasn't much she could see yet. It was dark and they were in a hall. She'd see more of the school tomorrow.
"Ask me again tomorrow." She chuckled, as she noticed that there was now cake on the table. Yey. She liked cake.
But then what Torin said caught her attention. Xander wasn't going to ask Sylvia out? Aww. That meant she couldn't flirt with him anymore.
"Zomg Sylviee!" She giggled. She KNEWW Sylvie liked him!

HE couldn't help but smirk as Xander whined at him. It was mean he knew but it was also so obvious. Did they really think they were being subtle? And Brody so knew about it too judging by her reaction.
"See? You guys are so obvious. Even Brody knows. So really.. why don't you two get together?" He smiled at Brody, hoping that things were good again between them.
"Yeah" Tavelon said, not entirely convinced. He would much rather have been in Ravenclaw or Slytherin. Tim took some food as well, so Tavelon didn't mind helping himself to a cookie.
"You know" Tavelon said "Since none of us are in the same houses, except Lannes and Chris, we should think of a place to hang out."
"I would concur! So where should our haunt be?" Lannes asked, he then pondered for a second, musing through his thoughts.
"A Coffee shop perhaps or maybe a boite of some kind? Or possibly..." Lannes soon remembered that he was in school, so there was a lack of freedom. He then resigned himself to that fate and said
"Well perhaps there's some corner or crevice in the castle."
He looked around the halls, gazing at the high ceilings with his dark blue eyes. The castle was rather large, how big he didn't know yet. The amount of students was also a mystery, there did seem to be a great deal of them, though not many social ones. Such thoughts took control of his mind as he sat in silence.

"One can hope it is someplace undisturbed. Someplace quiet... There are many halls in castles, but unfortunately, this one is full of ghosts and people... I certainly hope we have corresponding classes!"
Chris sat in silence for awhile, following Lannes gaze. The thoughts of Bast Castle returned and he thought for a while about Tim and his own secret hideaways at Bast. Maybe there were places like those here as well...
Lena?? He calls Helena..Lena? It's a nice nickname though, Blakey likesss.
Metal note: Find a nickname for Helena buuut don't call her Lena.
But what in Merlin's beard are those two talking about? It's so weird, they are talking in code words or something. Blake couldn't help but eavesdrop. Okaaay it wasn't really eavesdropping, their voice were finding the way to his ear automatically, SEE? He's a sharp listener too, all the more reason to like him.
Ooo interesting fight, so he was kind of apologizing and in FRONT of him and Nikki, nice way to bag Helena's sympathy, well he had nothing against the guy but it was nice trick, ya' know.
Metal note: Helena is forgetfully....so stop being an airhead.
Blake eyebrows raise cynically at Chris's expression, he's not thinking of him as one of those kiddy hyper weird boys? Hokaai, he was little but what's so bad about it? He can't help but be himself and mature-ish people gets boring after a while. On double checking, Chris's looked a teensy bit older than him, might be an year ahead or two.
"Nice to meet choo Chris and yes things might get easier unless Helena refuses to show me around the castle." Letting out a light chuckle, Blake tried to read Chris's expression, soooouuurrr. "So how long have you been Helena's bestie, eh?" He wiggled his eyebrows and glanced at Helena, see he can wiggle 'em too.
OOC: I won't be able to get on SS today, so keep it a bit slow guys.
Sooo Blake was thinking the same thing eh? That Lena was going to show him around. Alright Kaplan come on calm down now. All this guy is doing is trying to be nice. He put his hands in his pockets. "Yeah. But I'm sure she wouldn't mind it at all." He said his expression lightening up a bit. He took deep breath and thought about that question. "Oh I don't know two years now." He said looking at Lena making sure that was right. Though he knew it was.
Quote:
Helena nodded slightly and sighed herself. I know. I just wish things were better for you, she said, her eyes remaining purple the more she thought about what a crappy situation she was in - even more so now.
Chris turned back to Lena. "Don't feel sorry for me. It's the last thing I want. But the way I look at it. We still have a good ten or so years. Soooo it's not like anything will happen soon. Can we drop this subject now?" He asked and actaully gave her a small smile. It wasn't forced but it wasn't his normal big happy-go-lucky one either.
Sylvia giggled when Brody turned around. They had done with the fighting, thank merlin. But now, they could nosey in on her and Xander's conversation. Nooooo.
And now she was being tikled AGAIN?! Hadn't he learnt from the last time? "No! Stop it!" Sylvia winced as if his hand was a spider. "You'll pay for that!" Sylvia smirked, though, it'll be when he leasts expects it. HAHA!
"Noooooo." Sylvia moaned, and patted him on the head. "If you eat too much, you may get fat." Giving out weight advice was good, people needed to know about the rights and wrongs of dieting, and chocolate was a big no no. "You'll regret when you weigh a BILLION stone." She said in a singy-songy voice. Xander would never get that fat, she wouldn't let him.
And the Torin spoke, her name burning in her ears. Sylvia shot her head around to look at him, wide-eyed and her lips parted slightly. WHAT DID HE JUST SAY?! Everything went quiet into an awkward silence as she didn't want to turn around to look at Xander.
She felt like such an idiot, something that she would never admit. It was all there and it was as if she was a blind and deaf person. Her shock calmed down, though her eyes were still wide. Sylvia turned around properly and looked at Xander when he properly confirmed it. CONFIRMED IT.
"..... I ..." Was he waiting for her to say something? Because she had no idea what to say. So, instead, she laughed, and sighed. "I've sounded so stupid haven't I?"

So awkwardness should be what Xander is used to. Except when it happens in front of his friends, it's different.
Especially pretty blonde girls named Sylvia.
"I wasn't even fully tickling you!" he said, laughing slightly as he spoke. She kept swatting at his hand as if he was an annoying bug. Eesh, woman. And now she was making comments about him getting fat. He wouldn't! "I'm not going to fat, thanks." He playfully stuck out his tongue at her.
Now that Torin had opened his mouth about him liking her, it was definitely kind of an awkward silence. Both him and Brody wanted him to ask her out right then and there, but it was complicated!
"I..." What was he going to say? Fine, time to be honest. "I wasn't planning on it yet, because I don't know her that well, plus I don't want to rush..." And he hadn't even thought of a way to do it yet, for Merlin's sake.
Then he focused on what Sylvia had said about being stupid. What? "What do you mean 'sound stupid'?"

Helena looked back up at Chris and nodded slightly, a very, very small smile. That sounds about right, she said, her eyes edging back to their normal bright blue.

Yeah - of course - sorry, Lena said, picking up her fork for something to do and swirling around the remainder of her mashed potatoes while she let Chris and Blake talk.

Evelyn looked around when she started to hear an annoying noise, almost sounded as if someone was snoring. She rolled her eyes when she looked over at the Gryffindor table again. 'Course it's him.' she thought, then smirking as a thought came to her. Standing up, she headed over to the other table.
"I would concur! So where should our haunt be?" Lannes asked, he then pondered for a second, musing through his thoughts.

Tavelon nodded, "Yes, the castle is rather large, but I'm sure there will be a good place to hang out." He eyed a piece of cheesecake, pondering it he should eat it. "I don't think we can go to Hogsmede umtil third year, though. That's the only coffeeshop I can think of."
Tavelon's stomach protested, so he left the cheesecake alone. "Yeah, Chris I hope our classes correspond. But either way we're spread across three different houses so we won't all be in the same class."
"It's....big." Brody shrugged. There wasn't much she could see yet. It was dark and they were in a hall. She'd see more of the school tomorrow.

Sylvia scrunched her eyes together as Brody squealed her name like a little girl. She liked to be the centre of attention, but really, not like this. Not at all. Not when Torin and Brody were pressuring poor Xander to say something to her. When, to be honest, Sylvia wasn't sure if she was ready for a boyfriend. She'd never had one before.
Sylvia nodded her head quickly a few times in agreement with Xander. He was right, she didn't really know him, and he didn't really know her. She didn't want to be in a relationship with him yet, and she wasn't sure if Xander wanted to ask her our right here right now. Oh, everything had been so mysterious and fun between them, and now everything had become so awkward.
Torin and his big mouth.
"With all the .. who is she? Do I know her? .. stuff." Sylvia felt inredibly silly now, and didn't bother to laugh. Instead, she stood up and smiled at them all. Sylvia had had enough of the awkwardness. "Errr... Well, this was nice." She said in an obviously not smiley, though she was trying to be smiley.

Raven figured that she may as well make use of the time that she was sitting here, so she took out a folded piece of parchment and a quill then began writing different numbers and ingredients which to her made perfect sense but to anyone else who read it, it looked like jibberish.
Kloe was already done eating and was just sitting there wondering when they could finally go to there dorms. If they were going to have to wait this time every time they ate she wouldn't eat at all.

Xander wasn't quite sure of what to say in this situation, really. But why was she getting up? This was her table, after all.
"No no, you stay," Xander said. "I need to go talk to Issy to make sure she's still alright..."
He got up from the table and fixed his pants. Gah, they were giving him a wedgie. Not cool. He needed to adjust his robes anyway. Maybe he should have rethought what he was saying. Making it seem like Issy needed him more might make Sylvia jealous. He was on thin ice right now, since Torin had a big mouth.
"I'll be over at my house table if any of you need me," he said. Before he walked off though, he made sure to hit Torin on the back of his head.
Eva sat down at the Slytherin table, and looked around for a familliar face.
Since she couldn't find one on the sea of green and silver, she helped herself to a plate and began to eat, cursing herself for her disobliging shyness.
"Okay, Raiden," murmured Daphne dropping a kiss on his temple. "If you don't want to talk about it anymore and just hug that's okay with me. And if anyone says anything well, we'll just...ask them if they want to hug too."
So there.
What with Kazimeriz's not-a-veiled-threat-at-all announcement and the headmaster's speech, Kiri had lost her appetite. She spent a minute or two pushing mashed potatoes and peas around on her plate, then, with a sigh, gave up. Shouts and laughter seemed to echo from every corner of the Great Hall. Peeves was cackling somewhere overhead. Everyone seemed to be having fun!
Hoping to distract herself, she swivelled around on the bench to take a look at the other tables. Yes, there was Jake Upstead, something icky clinging to his hair. It looked like... cake? No surprises, then. A person Kiri hadn't seen before was skipping from table to table, handing out cookies. Kiri watched the woman for a few moments, wondering who she was. A new teacher? She very much hoped it wasn't. An unknown person and an Astronomy vacancy led to... unwelcome conclusions. The woman looked as if she were more at home teaching children to announce when they needed to go to the bathroom than explaining the workings of the Universe.
Kiri glanced at the Ravenclaw table. Her mood did not improve. Raiden was there - that was good, of course, in a way - but he was with Daphne. And Celandine.
And... Daphne was giving Raiden a kiss.
A...
Just on the temple (Just?! a voice in her head clamoured), but an actual... Part of Kiri wanted to take her wand and send her plate flying at the girl's head. (She could demonstrate her levitating charm to Kazimeriz.)
But, no, why should she bother? That would not impress Raiden at all - and it would most definitely not make him like her more. He was, well, friends with Daphne and Celandine.
Feeling thoroughly miserable now, the five points all but forgotten, Kiri turned around again and went back to playing with the remains of her food, hoping that the feast would end soon.
Acalia gave a triumphant high-five to Amber, startling her, but regardless she grinned back glad her friend finally came to the table.
"Yes, it is quite amazing!" Amber said, stroking her fire red hair, looking at the table. "I hope the teachers aren't mean."
"Meh. At least the classes will be interesting. I'm looking forward to flying...and Potions...and Charms! What about you? I hope the homework isn't too hard, because I'm horrendous at spelling." Acalia laughed loudly, attracting the attention of several Gryffindors.
Bianca arrived at the Slytherin, and pulled out a chair to sit into. Pulling a plate towards her, she piled vegetables onto her plate, crinkling her nose up at the meat that was sitting on the table. Yes, she indeed was a vegetarian. Placing her vegetables in a row, colour coded, she placed her fork on the edge of her plate, and drew herself a glass of water, bringing it to her lips, and taking a small sip.

"Oh do you have a story, do you have a story for me?
Do you know the one where we'll all live happily?"
Taking a swig of the pumpkin juice, Blake turned to Nikki, "I painted on it, what? Don't stare like that, I had no other choice." He let out a laugh but it soon disappeared, instead it turned into hysterics, "NOOOO! ahaha. I'd die rather than call you a dieter, I don't want my other arm to get...tattooed.." Shaking his head he stared at Nikki as she began shoving down food, niceeee.
Blake's head did a 180 degree turn as someone not someone, a boy Helena's Best Friend approached them. Okaaay he was guy, so what? Blakey is so not the jealous one, maybe a little but he'll manage.
He first quietly watched them talk which was sorta weird. When did best friends got so... hesitant? At least that's what it came across to him. Lets say if Tobey was here, he'll give him a nice evil noogie, kick him in the shins, ahhhh he'll just eat him up...Tobey's missed, awwwwwwwww.
Whoops, what's happening? Helena shrugged off his arm, anything wrong? Ahh, his arm was bugging her all along? No more arms around shoulder, nope.
Chris looked a bit...sour, the colors on his face looked drained and is he ill? Something fishy is going around for sure.
He jumped off the bench and flashed a warm smile, "Hi Chris, I'm Blake, Helena's friend and a newly sorted fourth year, Slytherin." He winked at him O_O ... okay that was weird, he needs to stop winking or either wear an eye patch, bwahaaa.
"What's your house? It looks from your robes that you are a Gryffindor but I might be wrong since I'm new and all." He said, rolling his eyes a little at the new and all part. He glanced at Nikki, who was sort of staring Chris, ahah! Someone's droolin'..
"Wipe off the drool, Finn." He lowered his voice a little and snickered. Nikki definitely had the 'oh he's so cuuutee' look on her face, epiccc.
OOC: too lazy to quote all of you guys post and put it behind a spoiler cut
Nikki rolled her eyes at Blake and chuckled softly. Wow the guy was an airhead at times, more than her! But still he seemed like a great friend to have around. "Hopefully it'll come off soon." She mumbled staring at her hand for a couple seconds before looking away from it.
"You better not call me a dieter." She said smiling at Blake. She bit into her drumstick and then looked back at Blake, thinking he might say more. But he was just staring at her....uh, weird! "Why are you staring at me like that!" She asked wiping some barbecue sauce of her mouth.
She resumed her eating but slammed her fork down onto the table. "I do not drool!" Nikki said looking at Blake sternly. "Take it back!" She said. "Take it back or twist your arm into a pretzel!" Nikki added. She wasn't a very violent girl, but she could be violent if she needed to be.

Nikki rolled her eyes at the 13 year old. God she was so annoying, Nikki wanted to slap her. "I'm not stupid Shana, so you can put your stupid little 'blondes are stupid' thought out of your mind." She snapped, ready to chuck food at the girl, but she kept calm. 'She's just a third year Nikki, act mature.'
OOC: I probably won't be on a lot on the weekend cause I'll be working on like four projects. But if I am on, I'll take a while to reply, just thought I'd let you know.
Evan looked irritated and heart-broken when Iris came and asked Fallon to look after her bag. He rolled his eyes and coolly said "I'm not a thief, Beamount. You don't have to worry about your bag." He snorted as if he belittled her, though she was already gone to Claw table to hear him. Seriously, what had he done wrong to annoy her so much? He was a nice guy, and he couldn't understand her attidude. He was tired of being polite and friendly, and he'd just let it to the flow, and it was up to her to make peace. He felt that the guy was better though, he just disliked him, not hated.
Still irritated with Iris, he turned back to Fallon. The thought of asking Iris' annoyance with him flashed through his mind, but then he shrugged mentally. He wouldn't talk about Iris, he was with Fallon, and only that mattered now. "I'm fine too, thanks." he said and smiled warmly. "Soo, what have you been up to?" A lame question to ask, but he didn't feel too creative to open up a topic.
He wondered what Lyra was doing or if she watched him and got upset. He looked to her, but she was gone. What? He quickly turned around to see if she was behind him to strike, but she wasn't. Frowning slightly, he scanned the whole table, and his heart sank when he found her. She was with a boy. His insticts told him to go and beat the guy, but he remained calm. If she wanted to talk to him, she'd find him right? So she wanted to be with the other guy now. Hmpf. Her choice. He turned back to Fallon and smiled again. He'd give his full attention to her, because she was worth it.

Oops, he pronounced it wrong, but who cared, right? She understood, everyone else understood, so what was the problem? He shrugged and said "You made me go on the last name basis, Beaumont." His tone was matching her tone. She started it after all, and Evan'd do nothing more than answer her the way she answered him.
Oh, so she didn't worry about him? And she thought he'd buy that? Yeah, like he would. He looked at the bag and saw that Iris was right about it being left alone, but he hadn't missed the meaningful look at him when she told Fallon to be careful. He shrugged and said "Yeah, like you don't put me into that 'half of the Slytherins'." He could go on accusing her, but he didn't want any trouble so he merely snorted, rolled his eyes and turned back. When he looked back she was again gone and he cursed under his breath. She probably didn't hear him again. Nice. He looked like he was talking to himself.
Fallon was going to answer Evan's question when him and Iris started to argue. She sighed and waited until they calmed down. Iris ended up leaving. "See ya later Iris!" She called after her friend. She then turned back to Evan.
Fallon decided not to bring up what they were arguing about and just decided to answer his previously asked question. "I've not really been up to anything since the last time we saw each other in Diagon Alley." She smiled at him. "What have you been up to?"
Right now, Woodson didn't care about Sebastian's rude comments. Quite the contrary actually. The fifteen year old had to cover his mouth to hide the snicker that was threatening to escape.
Ah yes, the food. That was going to be a problem, wasn't it? Of course Woodson didn't want to touch any of the stuff, he didn't even trust the water! But they couldn't not eat.
They were far to precious and important to starve.
Maybe they'd have a private quarters with their own chef and waiter? The least Father could do was organise that..
"Maybe we should risk trying this this evening," Woodson said, dark eyebrows knitting together as he thought, "and write Mother tomorrow? She could send us daily food packages."[/COLOR][/B]
Oh, oh. What was that? Was Woodson snickering at his words? Well, they seemed to have worked, at least the girls weren't bothering them anymore. Result! See ... Sebastian Whitcomb always got what he wanted.
Enough with the girls, though ... and back to the food.
Once his brother began talking, Sebastian stopped trying to check out for germs on the food using his bare eyes and looked over at the dark haired boy. There was a reason why he was the one that was always at home reading or practising his violin. Woodson always came up with the best ideas. "That sounds perfect to me. Daily food packages from Whiltshire will keep us from getting sick and starving." Perfect. And just to prove how impressed he was, Sebastian gave his brother a niiiice pat in the back. "Very well thought."

Chris followed Tavelon's eye as it settled on the cheesecake. As he saw that Tavelon did not pick it up, so he took it for himself. Taking a bite of the interesting cake, which did not taste like cheese like he had expected it to, he smiled. "Hopefully we can all meet up somehow... After our first classes, we should get together and discuss what times work best for all of us. We can ask a teacher were a good place is if you guys want!"
Chris finished the rest of his piece of cheesecake, grabbed a few rolls and another pint of pumpkin juice, which he despised, and put them on his plate.
Yeah - of course - sorry, Lena said, picking up her fork for something to do and swirling around the remainder of her mashed potatoes while she let Chris and Blake talk.
Nuuuuu!!! He watched as Lena turned back around. That's not what he wanted honstely he didn't come over here to talk to Blake but to Lena. Now he only had to talk to Blake. Oh no. This might not be good. He gulped. "Thanks. And you don't have to be sorry." Chris said even though her back was turned to him.

For a moment, Helena thought everything was okay between her and Chris when he made a small joke, but that sincere smile he gave Nikki.... it made her want to the girl limb from limb.

"I can see that she does." Nikki said smiling back at Chris. "And its nice to meet you to Chris." She added. She looked at Helena, who was glaring a Nikki again. But who cared, Nikki would talk to Chris if she wanted to, no sixth year with freaky eyes was gonna get in her way. And now Nikki understood Helena's problem, she liked both guys, sweet! 'Make up your mind. Take Chris or Blake!
Chris watched Lena look at Nikki. Wait just a minute! Was she now getting jealous of him talking to her. Oh this wasn't good. But well she had already said to just be friends rightttt? So why the heck were the two freaking out???
He then turned back to Nikki. "So what year are you?" He asked see her robes he already knew she was also a Slytherin. All he was trying to do was make small talk right now and be nice. Maybe talking to someone who wasn't Blake or Lena would calm him down. Maybe this could be a good thing then to talk to her. But not if it meant Lena freaking out....

"So, how's the cheesecake?" Lannes asked as Chris was eating it en masse.
Lannes was never huge on cheesecake, but now and then he got in a cheesecake mood and tried some. Today was not a cheesecake day however so he kept away from it.
