Transfiguration Lesson 2 Danni sat on her desk with her legs crossed, waiting for her students to arrive. She absent-mindedly Transfigured and Untransfigured a quill sitting on her desk out of boredem. |
Amelia skipped into the Transfiguration, rather absent-minded to the fact that Danni was sitting on her desk cross legged. She took a seat in the front row and took out her notebook, wand, and quill to prepare for class to begin. When she finally looked up at the professor, she smiled and said said, "Hello! How are you today?" |
Ariana walked in, her bag slung over her shoulder. Immediatly she walked towards Amelia and sat down beside her. "Hello professor." she said with a smile as she took out her stuff. After making sure Ginger wasn't in her bag, she closed it up and looked ahead, ready for a good lesson. Not feeling comfortable, she put one leg under her other leg, much in the same way as crossed legged, but more comfortable. |
Kerry walked in and smiled, "Hello Professor!" she said as she walked past the desk and found a seat across from Amelia and sat down, stretching her legs, waiting for class to begin. She bent down and grabbed a parchment and quill from her bag which she had set at her feet. As she straightened back up and placed the items on her desk, she gave a smile and nod to Amelia. |
Danni smiled at the three girls that walked in, "Hello ladies, How are you today?" |

Katelyn walked into the classroom, her bag slung over her shoulder, her hair tied back in a pony, and out of breath. She had just come from the courtyard, and had ran here. She sat down, and dropped her bag to the ground with a plop. She dug in her bag, and pulled out her notebooks and quills. She wrote her name and the date and the class at the top. She smiled, and put down her quill, and smiled at the professor, and muttered a soft hello. |
Amelia looked to her left and right to see that two girls had sat down on either side of her. She gave an encouraging nod and smile to both Ariana and Kerry, and then focused back on the professor, who had asked them a question. "Oh I am doing well, thank you. Looking forward to a good lesson." |
Ariana smiled back at the professor, "I'm fine, thank you for asking." she replied. "I'm looking forward to a great class today." she added grinning slightly as she turned to look at Kerry and Amelia. |
Rapunzel strolled into Transfiguration, eager to learn something new. This was one of her favorite classes, and also one of the most useful. |
Danni grinned, "I'm sure you'll like todays lesson girls. We'll start in a few minutes." |
Daphne happily strolled in to the Transfiguration classroom. She flashed a big smile to the teacher and walked over to an empty chair. She dug around her bag until she withdrew a flashy gold-coloured quill and ink that refused to stay one colour. She grabbed a fresh sheet of parchment and wrote the date, which was changing from a bright blue to a deep purple. She looked around and waited for class to start. |
Christian screeched to ahalt just as he passed over the threshold to the classroom. He was a tad late, he had over napped, and his missing kitten was helping the matters. Sweat slid down his face and he took a seat near the middle of the class. He pulled out his books and something to write with. He quickly put his head down as well to catch his breathe and get his composure together. |
Antwone walked into the Transfiguration class from the library where he had completed his Charms homework. He surveyed the room and sat next to Daphne and Katelyn out of familiarity. He took out some parchment, A Beginners’ Guide to Transfiguration by Emeric Switch and a quill and was prepared for the class ahead. Antwone had down alright in his last Transfiguration class but he suspected it would be much more difficult this time around. |
Katelyn bit the end of her green quill, and sighed. She set it down next to er paper, and smiled at Antwone as he sat next to her. She loved this subject, absolutely loved it and couldnt wait for classes to start. |
Danni got up and addressed the class, "Ok class, I'm going to explain this quickly. I thought we could use a break from practical-use spells so today we are working on the Orchideous spell. What does this spell do? 'Orchideous!'" she said clearly pointing her wand towards the class and a great big bouquet of flowers popped out. She handed them to the closest student and said, "This spell could be useful for a boy I supose, if he wanted some flowers to give his girlfriend." she smirked. "Now the wrist movement is a flick and jab and it is pronounced Or-kid-ius. Off with you now!" OOC: Sorry for Danni's lack of participation but I have to get off the computer and I dont think I will be on tomorrow cause of work. I'll be back! |
Katelyn tilted her head to the side, a bit confused at the rush. She scribbled down some notes, though, and took out her wand. She liked this spell a lot. It seemes pretty cool. She murmered the spell under her a breath a few times, so she could ge the hang of saying it, and then tried it out. |
Christian laughed. Flowers? To give to a girl? Now this was his kind of lesson. He smiled and got his wand out. He wrote down the pronunciation of the spell and what it did. This would be a nice spell. He just needed a girl to give the flowers to. Maybe he'd give it to one of the girls in the classroom at random. He pointed his wand and said "Orchideous!" Poof. He looked at the things that came out of the end of his wand. Were those weeds? Greatt. |
"Oooooh, I like that spell! Now why can't I find a boy to use that spell for me." Kerry laughed Kerry pointed her wand ahead of her, making sure that no one was in front of her, just in case the spell went awry. Concentrating on the spell, Kerry repeated the wand movment she had just seen.. and with a flick and a jab, she stated, "'Orchideous!'" Suddenly flowers sprouted from her wand. "Wow! I got it on my first try!" Kerry jumped up and squealed, and as she did, she watched the flowers suddenly wilt in front of her. Sitting back down and blushing, she said, "Guess I have to work on it a bit more...I'm guessing I need to keep my focus for just a bit longer. But look how close I was!" she laughed. |
Amelia smiled as Danni performed the spell and a bouquet of flowers appeared. Well, they are certainly very pretty. Now I just have to find a boy who will give me some. She chuckled to herself at her own humor and then wrote down the pronunciation of the spell: Or-kid-ius. She practiced saying it a few times to herself, and then practiced the wand movements of a flick and jab. Finally, after a few moments, Amelia felt she was ready to actually perform the spell. She held her wand out, and as she flicked and jabbed her wrist, she said "Or-kid-us!" Nothing happened. Amelia frowned and shook her wand, trying to figure out where she went wrong. |
Ariana listened as professor Pride explained how to do the spell, and her eyes light up. She loved these kinds of spells, they were a lot easier than the Diary Charm from earlier. Picking up her quill, she bgean to write notes on her parchment, not missing anything. Then, picking up her wand she concentraetd for a moment before saying "Orchideous!" A bunch of flowers popped out, yet they were disgusting! Bright neon green leafs with ugly brown petals. "Um, I don't think that's right." she said giggling as she put them down frowning. |
Antwone dunked his quill into his ink bottle and wrote on his parchment: Orchideous Spell - Creates flowers from the tip of the wand. Antwone picked his head and listened to the rest of the professor's explanation and demonstration of the spell. The professor flicked and jab his wand, spoke the words and a bouquet of flowers fell out of the end of the tip. Then the professor made a comment about boys being able to give the flowers to their girlfriends. But I don't have a girlfriend. Antwone was only eleven and he never really thought of girls in a manner of affection. He certainly liked girls but he never fully comprehended why he should and why he did, he just saw his mother and father and admired what they had but he himself never really understood why a boy liked a girl at all. I wonder if I gave Jasmine flowers like these, would she . . . Antwone perked up and became increasingly interested in the subject at hand. If he learned the spell he could give a bouquet of flowers to Jasmine like the professor made! Maybe then she would see him in a new light. But the Antwone thought and pondered his idea. Even if she does like the flowers and does like you, what then? What do boys and girls do exactly after that? Sure, they kiss and hug but what of it all and why? Antwone thought not to ponder it any further and became focused on the task at hand, writing his notes down vigorously. |
Katelyn giggled, and picked up her wand. She glanced over at Antwone to see how he was doing, but he hadnt tried yet, so she looked back at her wand. She flicked it, and gave it a small jab. "Orchideous!" she said softly, and flowers sprung from the end of her wand. She smiled, but they turned to ashes. She sighed, and continued to try. |
Amelia looked over to see that Ariana and Kerry had both been more successful at the spell then she was. She cuffed up her sleeves and was now more determined than ever to be successful, because she couldn't let a Gryffindor or Ravenclaw beat her at something. She focused on the enunciation of the spell: "Or-kid-ius... Orchideous." Once she felt totally focused on the spell and wand movements, she gripped her wand, and flicked and jabbed her wrist: "Orchideous!" A beautiful bouquet of yellow poppies emerged from the tip of her wand. Amelia jumped and squealed with excitement; I did it! I really did it! And only on the second try. She grinned and sat down with the flowers to make sure they didn't wilt right away. |
Qaz took notes and watched as the Professor produced flowers. |
