Professor Onyx X. Frost’s Office While out wandering the Second Floor corridor you come across an intriguing looking door. Intriguing because all over its face are raised-carvings of numbers in every which sequence and pattern, even a radial one centered about the exact center of the door! In the middle of this said radial pattern there is a plaque, which reads: Arithmancy Well, that certainly explains the numbers... you think to yourself. Figuring you might as well meet your new Professor, you reach towards the right and raise the lion-head door-knocker (Professor Frost is undoubtedly a Gryffindor) and await a response from within. After a few moments pass, a distracted albeit cheerful male voice bids you enter. As you step inside, you take notice of a fairly tall man standing before a chalkboard, who appeared to be deep in thought and gazing fixedly at a complex Arithmatical problem. Deciding to leave him be for the moment you look about the room. A handsome oaken desk and matching chair catches your eye almost immediately, and then a bookcase – also matching the desk and crammed full of varying volumes. All of the décor seemed to be in synchrony with the door you observe – even the red curtains! Although there were other markings within the numerals on the furnishings and curtains... Runes maybe? The Professor scribbles something upon the board like crazy for a minute and then sets the chalk down, allowing a “Ha!” of triumph to escape him. Finally he takes full awareness of your presence. “Pardon the wait and my lack of manners, but that’s been eluding me for quite some time... Ahem, anything I can assist you with?” He changes the subject with a smile. |
An owl swooped in and dropped a piece of parchment on the Professor's desk. Written on it in a loopy handwriting are the following words: Quote:

Hi! Sara walked in and said “Hi, My name is Sara and I’m going to be in your class” |
Carolyn knocked on the door and waited to be allowed to come in. |
Audrey knocked on the door of Professor Frost's office and smiled at another student waiting. She had had some trouble with this subject last year, so she decided to introduce herself to the teacher in case she needed extra help with the subject eventually. She waited outside to be invited in. |

Audrey smiled at the professor and then entered his office. She looked around for a few moments to admire it, before realizing that she was still standing in his presence and should therefore say something. "Oh, sorry, um, I'm Audrey. I'm in my second year but I wanted to formally introduce myself. I had some trouble with this class last term, so I just wanted to say hi so you will recognize me if I ever come in for help..." she trailed off, not wanting to sound like a brown-noser. |
Dani knocked on the door. |
Kennedy sent out from her common room on the seventh floor to speak with Professor Frost. She walked purposefully through the hallways and as she approached Frost's office door, she readjusted her messenger bag over her shoulder. Just as she was about to knock on his door, she forgot why she was there. She stood on the spot trying to figure it out for a couple minutes, then turned around and walked away when she couldn't remember. |
Jacqueline sat up from the library table, Bewildered about the Arithmancy homework Professor Onyx had assigned them. She gathered her books and headed through the corridors to his office. She finally approached the cold stone office door. She took in a breath of cold air and knocked on the door awaiting the Professor. |
Popping in, Algamus gives Professor Oxygen's a nodsies. "Sirsies, Professor Raisins tells me to givers you this." He said politely, passing on the parchment that had warned the Professors all about Raisin's and Boil's daughters. and with a snap, he went on to the next Professorerses. |

Amelia walked towards the all-too-familiar door on the second floor. This was perhaps one of Amelia's most favorite offices in the whole castle; from the bookshelves filled with books about numbers to the handsome oak desk. With an air of importance about her, she knocked thrice with the door knocker and waited for admittance. Within a few moments she heard Professor Frost tell her to enter, and she did so. Without even a second thought, she sat down in one of the chairs that were sitting before the oak desk and crossed her legs. Amelia smiled at the tall man and waited for him to finish what he was working, "Hello Professor. I have something important that I need to show you once you've finished." She took a deep breath, not sure how he would perceive this letter. |
