Welcome to the Sock Drawer!

The Gladrags mods have challenged YOU to make 100 grab bags based on a list of themes found below. Some might be easy, others might be difficult, but that’s where you can put your graphic making skills to the test. Don’t be afraid to think outside the box and experiment beyond your comfort zone!
Don't want to make graphics but still want to participate in the challenges? Fear not, because you can! You can now complete the following themes in any medium that tickles your fancy.

STEP ONE: SUBMIT A THREAD: In the Sock Drawer, at the bottom of the list of threads is a handy little button called 'New Thread'. Go ahead and give that a click. A new page will appear where you can submit the first post of your thread. In this post, please make sure to include the following:
- A prefix! Depending on the type of challenge you want to take part in, please select the appropriate prefix: Potter 100, Beastly 50 or Magical 25
- A title for your thread. Feel free to get creative with this, just make sure it's SS appropriate and has the right prefix in place
- A description, along with whether or not people are allowed to use your icons
- A list of themes! These can be found in the second post of this thread
- Please be aware that all submitted threads will not appear until a Gladrags Moderator has approved them
Once you’re done, just hit that 'Submit New Thread' button. If it doesn’t show up immediately, don’t worry! The thread needs to be approved by a moderator first. When that’s done, they’ll PM you giving the go ahead.
STEP TWO: CREATE CREATE CREATE: Once you’ve been given the go-ahead, you’re welcome to start creating your icons. You can start posting these from the SECOND post of your thread. So, your thread should, generally, look something like this:
- First Post: Description, Themes, are people allowed to use your icons?
- Second Post: First Grab Bag
- Third Post: Second Grab Bag
And so on and so forth.
Please note that you are allowed to use images from other sources, such as fan-based creations, plays, etc. However, they must be related to the HP universe and you must credit the creator if you want to use anything that's not from any of the movies/books.
STEP THREE: REMEMBER THE RULES: As with any section of Gladrags, we have a few rules in place in regards to competition threads as well:- All graphics icons must be 100x100 pixels and 20kb and must comply with the SS Rules. If you want to make something that's not digital-based, the images you post can be bigger but you must place these images under a photocut or a spoiler tag:

[spoiler=la dee da]images go here[/spoiler] - Each grab bag must include a minimum of five icons. You’re always welcome to make more, and there is no maximum limit, but any more than five icons should be put under a photocut or a spoiler tag. For arts and crafts projects, each grab bag must include a minimum of one image that's placed under a photocut or a spoiler tag
- Please do not reuse icons from another theme you’ve already completed and posted. This challenge is to do just that: challenge you. Reusing old icons defeats the purpose and won’t get you experimenting with new ideas. Any reposting will result in your post being deleted and, excessive reposting will result in the removal of your competition thread
- While you're welcome to use any fan-based creations, please make sure to credit the creator
- No plagiarising. At all. Anyone found plagiarising will have their competition thread removed and will receive a site warning/infraction. Just don’t do it
- Threads with no new posts in a year's time will be considered inactive and will be moved to the Catalogue Collection
- If you want your thread deleted or want to reactivate an inactive thread, please contact a Gladrags mod and we’ll be happy to get it done for you
- When you’ve finished the themes, please PM a Gladrags mod stating that you’re done. We will review your thread and, upon approval, you’ll earn a spot in our Winner’s Hall of Fame
- Threads in the Sock Drawer are for creators only. Please direct all comments to the Evaluation Station
