The rules of this game are simple! First, answer the What would your ___ character do if _____? question posted above your post! Then, come up with a scenario for the next person to consider using the What would your ___ character do if _____? format!

My shopkeeper, Zachaël Lufkin, would likely not engage directly—not at first—but assume that some sort of incompetence had occurred at the Scamander Zoo, thus resulting in the stampede, and expect staff and DERP to show up soon to collect their beasts. He would for sure be more concerned with protecting his wares and shop aesthetics, rearranging ink vials and parchment rolls in vibration-proof configurations with additional protective enchantments and conjure a couple reflective decoy targets to divert the Erumpents...but not necessarily because he feels it is his civic duty, but because "they’re going to ruin my new window display." Mostly he’d just want to document how many feathers were ruffled in the name of incompetence of those owls who lacked the self preservation to fly away at the sound of the first stomps What would your adult Gryffindor character do if their favorite set of dress robes developed an attitude and refuses to be worn unless it gets told a bedtime story?

on duty, Gabrielle would approach it like potential evidence: wand out, trace spell cast, and logged without hesitation. It’d be handled by the book, no emotion, no temptation to keep it for herself, just efficiency.
off duty, she would still pick it up and hand it in to the proper authorities but with serious judgements attached in wondering how anyone could be so stupid as to misplace such a heafty load.
in either case, she is likely to treat the pouch as bait and turn hyper aware of her surroundings...watching for movement, setting her stance, ready to immobilize anyone or anything that might suddenly come charging at her thinking they had just lured her into a trap.

Calliope knows her marks in certain subjects are lackluster at best, but for her to suddenly skyrocket up to a perfect or near perfect score would raise far too much suspicion. So she would memorize the gist of a few answers, just enough to get her from a failing or barely passing mark to a comfortably passing mark, and then Evanesco it into oblivion (consider Incendio-ing it away but just in case ashes could be fixed with Reparo or some other spell...she would eventually talk herself down from that option).

Ember would LOVE for something like that to happen to her...though of course it would depend on which character If it was one that she loved, like Nancy Drew, then she would be thrilled. It would be a dream come true for her to get to be a cool and clever amateur detective, solving mysteries and helping people. But if it was a character in a story that has a lot of fighting or scary things, she'd want to find a way to get back to her own life as soon as possible  What would your student character do if they had one vial of Polyjuice Potion they could use?

Ben would probably try to contact authorities just to make sure the baby was okay and see if they could find anything about their family, but if nothing came up, he'd be happy to take care of the baby.
