The Locked Room This room is known for always being locked. Inside, however, is what is known for being the greatest magic of all times: love. Working with such an amazing power has quite shocking results. |
Kirk firmly closed the door behind him, making sure its locked he prepared himself for the first day. He smiled to himself as he felt overwhelming love and affection for his job wash over himself. He felt as if the world was perfect in this room and this is why it is his favorite room in his department. His strode down the narrow aisle which separated the two sides of the room. To his left a collection of cupboards which the soft blue light emitted from , to his right a row of desks and chairs. He strode to the first desk, picked up the piece of parchment from it and read the list of the divisions new employes... Quote:
There must have been an overload with Valentines day just passed, Kirk wanders to himself. He sits back down at his desk and continues to review the list of new employes, patiently waiting for them to enter the room.... |
Viea knocks on the door softly, she seems quite nervous, it is her first day after all. Her legs seem to be shaking slightly, she stamps her feet quietly hoping the jingles will fade away, as soon as they did though her hair started to get on her face, she waved her wand over her hair and muttered, "Oh Merlin." You could tell from the comment it wasnt a good day, the room was left unlocked so she entered and closed the door behind her. She smiled at the guy... man sat down at his desk, she nods at him and smiles, she then grabs a seat from the other side of the desk and sits down. "Hello, my name is Viea Hinebux, I have come here on the subject of my job I have been given." She ponders for a moment, "If I remember correctly this is my first day in starting?" |
" It is!" Kirk replies He waves his wand in the air and a click sounds from the entrance. "Number one rule, keep the door locked" Kirk ticks off Viea's name of the peice of parchment, looks up at her and says "Im Kirk Fox, welcome to the DoM" "We'll wait for the other new employee to get here and then we'll get to it." |
"Thats good, Ive been looking forward to it for quiet a while." Viea smiles, "Oh, Merlin.. My first day and I forgot completely about the locked door, sorry about that though, I will remember in future I assure you." She smiles at the man whilst he ticks a piece of parchment. "Its' very nice to meet you Kirk." Viea formally nods and a gentle greeting and nods again as a yes in reply to that she shall wait. |
"IT's nice to meet you too Viea!" Kirk drops the quill in his hand to the desk, leans forward and says "Can you feel it?!" The rooms power? Its remarkable" |
Stacey-Ann knocked on the door and was very nervous this was the first day of her new job she wondered what he boss would be like and whether working would easy |
"It is as you say 'remarkable'." Viea smiled and then quickly jumped at the knock on the door, she didn't know if she should get for the man, but to be curtious she did. With a wave of her wand she unlocked the door. She smiled at the man, she was only trying to help. |
"Ah hello...Stacey- Ann" Kirk says as he ticks her name of the list "Come on in. This is Veia your fellow co-worker, and I'm Kirk, Your division head." He waves his wand and the empty chair in front of him pushes forward. "I think thats all the newbies for today, shall we get started?" |
Stacey-Ann walked into the room and sat on the chair and said to Veia "Nice to meet you" and said to Kirk "Lovely to meet you Kirk" Stacey-Ann said "Yes we shall" Stacey-Ann's nerves were going awat and she was excited to start work |
Viea sighed, "Nice to meet you..." She nooded at Kirk at sat back in her chair, she felt like she was a local loonie. Her head swayed to the right as her hand met it. |
"Allrighty then!" Kirk said as he jumped to his feet. "Follow me.." Kirk strolled over to the closets cupboard and as he neared he felt the overwhelming power surge from the cracks in the door. "In case you dont know, but the power we mostly experiment with in this room is love." "Im sure we all know what wonderful and terrible power this emotion holds, that is why the door to this room must ALLWAYS stay locked." "With valentines day just past and us away over that period an excessive amount of love has collected inside the room. It concentrates in these cupboards, we have the job of distributing it back into the population. We have to do this carefully, because if we were put back too much back, it could have disastrous consequences.... Ill show you how we do this shall i?" Kirk faced the cupboard waved his wand once, the door flew open, twice and the eerie blue contents was forced to stay in. At once the contents began to swirl and wave, its power slowly leaking out over Kirk and the others. He shook his head waved his wand for a third time making a small amount of the power shoot up through the ceiling. The cupboad doors closed without a sound and Kirk turned to Veia and Stacey-Ann and said.."Any questions?" |
Stacey-Ann shook her head as a sign that she did not have any questions she was amazed at what Kirk did and was excited to do the same and release some love back into the population she was going to enjoy this job |
"So we just release it back into the poulation, sounds easy enough." Viea smiled, and inclinded her head,"Is there any paper work to this though? I mean, that cant be just it ...can it?" Viea seemed worried and confused. |
"oh well yes there is, but i can deal with that!" "This wont take long, after you finished here your welcome to a break, i hear they re-furbished the Level 9 break-room over the break, i have to yet see it." "We still got a lot of work to do though." Kirk strolls over to his desk and picks up his pile of paperwork. "We still have to take inventory of the most powerful love that we keep on the premises, re-enforce the security around the locked door and review any incoming love" He sits down behind his desk to finish of the paperwork. "You can continue" |
Viea nodded and though se might have a try at releasing some love back into the world, so she walked up to a cupboard and swished her wand at it, the reaction was different to when Kirk did it, the cupboard colour went green, Viea stared wide eyed at the cupboard. "Im sorry!", Viea exlaimed, she put her head in her hands, she wasnt doing as well as she would of liked, she calmed down and flicked her wand at the cupboard again. Everything went back to normal, she smiled at this and tried again. This time the cupboard gave the right reaction, she smiled, and repeated this reaction to two other cupboards, she then went to work on the re-enforced security, she exaimed the quite weak security. "Its quite weak, is this usual?" She asked. |
Kirk strolled over to Viea and the door, peered down at the door and muttered a spell with a flick of his wand. The cracks in the door glowed red for a moment then went back to normal. "Hmmm. Looks a little venerable yeah" Kirk waved his wand again over the cracks which this time glowed green. "Hopefully that will fix it" Kirk said as he walked back to his desk |
Stacey-Ann saw Viea release some love and copied her and released some love and hoped that it was good and saw a good reaction and hoped that it was good she did not want to try the door yet because Viea had already tried it and Kirk had sorted it out already |
"Thankyou Kirk..." Viea smiled at him, trying to be nice, but honestly there was nothing else to do, she sat down in the chair. She didnt know what to do she pondered a minute before asking Kirk, "Is there anything else to look at?" She was a fast worker, she had to start slowing down though. |
Holding a book with an arm, a red haired woman knocked the door twice before looking down at her watch. She was a couple of minutes late. Sighing she let her head fall and placed a hand on her forehead. It was her first week of work and she was already arriving out of time! Apparently she'd have to make her sister arrive earlier at home in order to take care of her daughters or there was absolutely no way she could possibly get a paycheck. Biting her lip, Eleanor looked back at the door, hoping that whoever was behind those doors would understand what she was going through. After all, the least she wanted at the moment was to get fired for she had not just her own mouth to feed but five more - including the adult ones. |
Kirk was leaning back observing the otheres perform the set tasks when he heard the knock on the door. He fell back to the ground and waved his wand at the door, which flung open softly. He saw the woman standing in the doorway, a nervous face greeted him. He looked down at the list of new employees on his desk which instantly added a new name. "You must be Eleanor, please come in, we were just about to have a break, the others can fill you in if you like." |
It felt like minutes had ticked by as she waited for the door to swing open. Had they went elsewhere or didn't they allow anyone else in after a certain hour? If either of these was the case, then she was, in a word, doomed. However, when the door did open, her feelings did some kind of a backflip for she was now wondering if it hadn't been just three seconds previously that she had knocked. Finding that it was better to get in, Eleanor stepped inside to meet the gaze of a man, probably the one who was in charge of that specific room. 'Yes, sir, I am' She nodded with a small smile as he spoke her name. As he mentioned something about a break and being filled in, she nodded once more. 'I wouldn't like to be a bother but I'd appreciate it, yes' |
Harper walked unsteadily into the room. It was her second week here at this job, but each time she walked through the door she got nervous. She loved her job, very much indeed, but she never really saw anyone else around when she was in here. Did anyone else work here? |
Kirk saw the door slowly open and the familiar face of Harper appear in the crack. he quickly waved his wand over himself. He felt the the famililar sensation of the disillusionment charm swarm over himself as he he swished his wand again which left a note on the desk addressed to Harper outlining he duties for the day. He always had unusual feelings for this woman when she was in the room, and he didn't know why, but he didn't want her to see him. Kirk sinked into the shadows and edged his way to the door... |
Stacey-Ann waved her wand at another cupboard releasing some more love in the world and then looked about the room at her fellow employees and hoped that they all were working hard to release more love in the world |
