Romantic Surprise - Sa13+
 

This FF is a short story and is about life after Hogwarts for two of its old students.
Also, I'm not English, so sorry for any grammar faults or anything, have checked it but that doesn't garuantee it's entirely correct.

After a long day of research at work she came home to find all the lights out and the curtains already drawn. Feeling a little uncomfortable she cautiously opened the front door, taking in her surroundings, she couldn’t help but release her breath and smile.

She was standing in a bed of deep red and white rose peddles. On the right-hand side, where a small cabinet was placed, several candles were lit, a small card in front of it. `Follow the light´ it read.

A path of rose petals and candles let her through the hallway and up the stairs to the bedroom, the door slightly ajar. Slowly pushing the bedroom door open, she walked into the dimly lit room. It was only when she reached the bed that candles magically lit themselves, floating around a package.

Opening the gift it revealed a beautiful dark red dress and a small note on top of it in the same familiar handwriting: `Wear me´. Quickly shedding her working clothes she put on the dress, it fitted perfectly and her feminine curves looked amazing. She hastily fixed her hair a little before continuing her path barefooted.

Reopening the bedroom door, she followed the rose petals and candles again, which had changed path the second she had walked into the bedroom. While being led towards the stairs she passed by another cabinet, a gift on top of it surrounded by rose peddles. Clicking open the small box, she couldn’t help but take in a small breath. The box contained a gold and ruby necklace and matching earrings, including another note: `Beautiful jewellery for an even more beautiful girl´. Blushing deeply she put on the jewellery and continued the path of light and rose petals.

She was led down the stairs and into a romantic living room, a dining table set for two, candles and heart-shaped accessories surrounding it, sweet music playing in the background.

And there, in the middle of the room, was standing the young man whom she had loved for so long now, the love of her life. He was holding a single dark red rose in front of him.

Smiling a radiant smile at her, he said, “Wow, you look so gorgeous,” and stepped forward, giving her a mind-blowing kiss. Taking her hand he led her towards a chair and pulled it back for her to take her seat. While he was sitting down himself he gave a small wave with his hand and a delicious dinner appeared on their plates.

Finally regaining speech, she asked, “It’s beautiful! What’s the occasion?” smiling a little nervously at him.

“You are,” he answered, and poured her a glass of her favourite wine.

After dinner he rose from his seat and took her hand, leading her to the centre of the room for a dance. Her head resting on his masculine shoulder, she inhaled deeply, she could smell the familiar scent he carried with him, the fresh smell of the air after a heavy rainstorm combined with the smell of the forest.

“I love you”, she mumbled against his neck. But instead of saying'I love you too', he released his grip on her waist, took hold of her hands and kneeled down, taking a small box from his pocket.

“My gorgeous love. I love you…you mean the world to me. I can’t imagine a world without you in it, I would not last a single day in such a world. You are my everything, you are all I need. Hermione, I love you so much, will you please marry me?” he said, opening the box. It revealed his mother's engagement ring, which Sirius had given to him shortly before his tragic death.

No longer capable of holding back her tears, she replied, her voice breaking, “Yes, yes, of course I will marry you, silly”.

Putting his mother's engagement ring on Hermione’s finger, Harry rose to his feet. Lifting the love of his life into the air, they kissed each other deeply.

Hermione hugged Harry close, feeling like the luckiest and happiest girl on earth. “I can’t wait to tell Ginny and the others” she thought to herself.

Well, you see, the thing is, it was only a one shot...I had written this for a competion earlier and that wasn't allowed to be any longer than this. Well, I had to change the ending, because it was supposed to be too insinuating...I had no idea it was like that, I had the ending in mind as a romantic gesture, but evlpez only thought of it as sex, so my thread got deleted...So when I was told I immediately changed the ending and reposted it....
But I'm glad you guys liked it...

I'm afraid so, I'm sorry. But you know, I'm still working on a diff ff (pre-HBP), but there's no way I'll be able to post it here on SS, I already got into trouble over this ff, had to change the ending because it would be too suggestive....which I still think it wasn't, but that doesn't matter. Maybe I'll post that one on a diff site, I'll put a link in my siggy by then okay...

I'm so glad you guys like it, I was so afraid everybody would hate it, so this is a really big relief...

And about the H/H thing or H/G...I don't really care that much who's with who...as long as the story itself appeals to me...I once read this fic on a another site and it was a Harry/Parvati ship...not really my thing, but the way it was written was just awesome so in the end I couldn't stop reading it. I even once fell inlove with a fic on Harry/Draco (yeah, a gay-one indeed) but it was just so romantic and sweet...it was absolutely amazing...unfortunately the author never finished it, so I still don't know how it finished (I've been wondering about it for 2 years or something by now...).
That is actually also why I first want to finish my other fic before I will ever post it, because I don't want to run the risk of stopping half way and never finishing it...I mean, I know how frustrating that is to keep waiting for the next post and it just isn't coming....

It's a good story but ummm...Hermione and Ron are supposed to be together.... so i dont agree with that.....it would be good if Harry and Hermione were meant to be together but the story doesn't lead that way. plus i want Harry!! he should be mine :P
