Lord Borr's Throne Dais

http://i40.photobucket.com/albums/e2...een-throne.jpg

Lord Borr and Man of the Hour can be approached and congratulated here. He sits on his throne that is dead center on a raised dais. There are a few other chairs surrounding Lord Borr's area for other people deemed important enough to grace the same stage as Lord Borr. If you wish to speak with Lord Borr or any of the other ministry officials present, please first check in with security then proceed up the stairs. Lord Borr will be giving his speech from this dais, so keep an ear turned this way at all times.

The Cultists 03-14-2011 07:08 PM

:music::music: Trumpets sound and the man of the hour appears from the curtain behind the stage. :music::music:

Applause are necessary.

Berty Borr 03-14-2011 07:22 PM

Lord Borr raised his beefy hand to give sign that the trumpets could stop and the crowds could settle. He was, after all, VERY busy and even MORE important than ever these days. Time was ticking and daylight was burning!

"SETTLE DOWN, SETTLE DOWN." Lord Borr chuckled and was absorbed into his large throne. His voice was magnified throughout the tent, but in case anyone missed the loud boom of Borr, he also BEAT the dais with his scepter-like-cane.

"Welcome, welcome to this VERY important occasion! I see many of you showing your APPRECIATION." The people near the dais wearing the light blue tee-shirts all got a NOD of approval from the large man. He paused to pick out the few in the crowd that did NOT have on the shirts.

"Someone get the Headmaster a shirt!" He pointed his scepter to the area that seated all the guests from Hogwarts.

"Before we make announcements, the CHILDREN of Hogwarts have PREPARED a little musical dedication to start our event out. COME ON UP here children! Come sing for us all!"

Lottiepot 03-14-2011 08:29 PM

Erica felt incredibly special right now. Although others would be frowning upon her, sitting with Lord Borr as one of those 'important ministry officials', she truly didn't mind. She had a good seat and they all did not.

*Smirk*

The Creatures Department Head clapped on queue as he made his big entrance, smiling softly before looking across at the other people atending. The Blonde couldn't help but snort slightly as it was requested the students were to sing for them. Well that would be interesting, here's hoping that they could actually hold a note in tune, she didn't particularly appreciate it if they made her ears bleed.

Erindipity 03-14-2011 08:56 PM

Well, what a load of poo. NO ONE else was going to do as asked by Lord Borr? She wondered if he would mind if she sang that song that goes, "Alllll by myseeeeeleeeelf!" 'Cause she was.

Not even the GRYFFINDOR'S would accompany her to the dais.

Well she stood before the steps, smile on her face, head held high. "Your Lordship, thank you for gracing us with your awesome presence today. I would like to sing the school song for you and all of our guests if that is suited to your liking, sir," she said with a little curtsey.

Yeah she remembered Borr from Hogwarts. She wasn't getting hit with that scepter... No way no how.

Cassirin 03-14-2011 10:00 PM

Tate stopped right in front of Lord Borr, pausing for a moment to show off the t-shirt for approval. It was a ridiculous thing to make people wear, and he would probably burn it first chance he got, but he managed to make it look as if he meant to wear a t-shirt pulled over dress robes. He made this look good.

"Lord Borr. Congratulations on your promotion on behalf of myself and the students and professors of Hogwarts. I'm afraid there was a breakdown in communication between your office and mine, but if you require a song..."

Tate glanced sideways at Lexi Denver. If she really REALLY wanted to sing, who was he to stop her? "I'm sure we can come up with something."

Oh. Good. Headmaster Hottie was there to save her from what was sure to be a brutal spit fest from Lord Borr. She scooooooooted a little bit closer to the man and looked at him with BIG eyes that clearly said 'Thank you'.

Tugging on his dress robe sleeve she mouthed the words SCHOOL SONG to him and nodded her head.

Lord Borr's chair made a loud, long "creaking" sound when he shifted around to wave his beefy hand at the Creature Department Head. The "chair" must have been oozing an icky smell too. The dais was hit with a strong, pungent odor.

"Glad you could make it, Erica. Lovely day for such an occasion!" Lord Borr chuckled and wafted the odd odor away from him and towards the stairs where the first Hogwarts guests were arriving.

ABOUT TIME.

"Making excuses, are you Headmaster??" Lord Borr looked around the dais to his fellows and colleagues. "When Miss Melita was at the school, some of the BEST YEARS in Hogwarts HISTORY, the children were ALWAYS prepared with song."

Lord Borr's bones creaked and rattled as he got up from his chair, a new wave of odor hit the dais with a powerful punch. "Come on up here, children. Lord Borr will lead you in song!" With his cane, he pushed "Headmaster" Tate aside and placed his free hand on Lexi Denver's shoulder. "Come up here with this brave and promising young lady! Don't be shy!"

Oh Dear Merlin. Lexi tried her hardest not to pull a face as his ODOR invaded her nostrils. Oh she was going to FAINT she was sure of it. Taking sharp breaths in through her mouth she tried to make grabby hands for the Tatertot's robes as Lord Borr pushed him aside. EEP!

His beefy hand clasped onto her shoulder and made her knees wobble a bit. Be GENTLE, could you?! Little GIRL here. Sheesh.

...

OH. He called her BRAVE and PROMISING. How lovely. She still wanted to shove her fingers in her nose to block out the odor, but she couldn't help but smile as he said those words.

There was a dias. Of course. There was a throne dias.

The man tried sinking into his hair, massive hand hiding half of his angular face. Fortunately, his mess of dirty blond hair was long enough to hide part of his blush. It didn't, however, make him invisible to everyone as much as he would will it; he often wished it was long enough to keep his gray-blue eyes from finding his Uncle Bert, wobbling around with his scepter.

Merlin, he was embarrassing.

It wasn't as embarrassing as the shirt he had been forced to put on that morning. Ocean Tea Jones sank deeper into his chair, wondering what would it take for this party to end abruptly. A Hippogriff stampede? A sudden swarm of billywigs?

And now children were going to sing. Children. Singing. Last encounter Ocean had with Hogwarts' children didn't leave him with lasting impressions about their singing prowess. They were; however, extremely good at setting off booby traps.

Ocean snorted behind a hand, hiding his smile effectively mostly from his Uncle rather than the source of his amusement: the obviously foolish girl. Who willingly volunteered for this kind of embarrassing thing? Did she have no pride? She was obviously a Gryffindor.

Cassirin 03-14-2011 10:53 PM

So it was down to him screwing up, rather than someone on Borr's team? Fine. Whatever.

"I'm afraid they're unavailable for singing right now, sir," Tate put his hand on Lexi's other shoulder and snaked her back around to stand nearer to him. He wanted a buffer between his kids and the man with the flailing cane. "But Miss Denver and I would like to sing you a special rendition of the school song."

And maybe any other students who felt brave enough would join them.

Tazenhani 03-14-2011 10:59 PM

Neutral expression until he hit the stench that was at the dais. It was like walking into a brick wall and deserved several quick blinks. Steering right around the large man, he made his way to Lexi's other side giving Tate a tight lipped smile. Wasn't this fun?

Once beside Lexi, he made sure to shoot the 'Lord' a look that clearly said this wasn't for him. Because it really, really wasn't.

Dipping his hand down, he gently took Lexi's in his and gave it a slight squeeze. Sorry I'm late. Good grief this is bad. Perhaps they could squeeze their eyes shut and get it over with. But right now, plugging the nostrils seemed better.

Christelle Rochebarron 03-14-2011 11:04 PM

Christelle stood by quietly, a pursed smile on her fleshy lips. The students of Hogwarts looked so adorable from where she stood with their wide eyes and crookedly open little mouths. It made her heart ache for about a few seconds. Poor darlings. They looked as lost and confused as baby deer.

"Oh, my!" commented Christelle, clasping her hands and leaning forward slightly. "A song directly from the Headmaster's lips. Indeed, this can only happen for Lord Borr."

Another boy joined them and Rochebarron watched him through her lashes cautiously. He looked a little sickly. Perhaps he was a victim of stage fright?

Felixir 03-14-2011 11:06 PM

Aaaaaaaaaaaaand with one last LEAP, Jake was up on the dias, a HUUUUGE grin on his face. The young man was probably trembling so much he was fuzzy around the edges.

BUTNOMATTER.

"Lord Borr!" the young man exclaimed in an extravagant manner, and bowed LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW to the floor like a house elf, with super accentuated movement.s

"Sing song, eh?! Let's do this!"

SO.

MUCH.

SUGAR.

Erindipity 03-14-2011 11:10 PM

EEP! She was being passed around like a doll. She gladly snaked around behind Tate though, hands full of his Borrapalooza shirt, peeking from around him. Perhaps if she buried her FACE in Tate's clothes she wouldn't die from the terrible gas that was overtaking them.

As she peeked around Tate she caught the MAN snorting at her and pulled a face. How rude. She was BORED and not only that, she was doing as she was ASKED. Meaniehead.

Oh there was Sabel. She wouldn't have to poke him with a stick while he slept then. Good for him. She released her grip on Tate's shirt to take Sabel's hand and smiled softly. She was STILL upset that she had to be the one to come out first, but Tate and Sabel were here now so she felt better about things. And standing behind Tate DID block the stink rolling off Lord Borr.

OH!

And NOW Jakers showed up. She was going to throw shoes and dinner rolls at all of them. Later of course. When they got back to school.

Kurumi stood frozen in place for a moment. Musical? They had prepared something? As long as there was a piano, Kurumi could play something for the others to sing to.

Still clutching the box of cookies in her hands, Kurumi decided first that she should thank Lord Borr for the invitation.

Taking a timid step forward, Kurumi approached him and first bowed at a deep 90 degrees. "Lord Borr," Kurumi said taking a deep breath to calm her nerves. "My name is Kurumi Hollingberry. I am a second year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardy and I would like you to accept this box of cookies that I baked as my humble way of offering thanks to you for inviting me here today."

Kurumi bowed again and extended her hands forward with the box of cookies held in them.

Lord Borr's nephew, Thomas Borr, was NOT doing as he was supposed to. Lord Borr should have KNOWN better. "THOMAS. GET UP AND HELP THESE CHILDREN UP ON THE DAIS." MERLIN. "THEN STAND BY ME. You're my NEPHEW and you're supposed to BE BY MY SIDE."

Lord Borr tried to hit the young slacker that shared Borr's blood, but he was just out of reach.

It was rude of the Hogwarts folks to waste SO much time when there was SO much to do.

"HO HO HO!!!" Lord Borr BOOMED just like Santa. "HOOOOOOOOO indeed!" He clapped and kicked and jigged. "Another young Gryffindor? Who is their Head of House? Are they here? I see SOME house is doing it right at that SCHOOL!!!"

To the young Kurumi, Lord Borr bowed and stooped to be nearer to her. "Welcome Miss Hollingberry and thank you KINDLY for your GIFT!" He took the cookies and tore into them almost immediately.

Now that the CHILDREN of Hogwarts HAD indeed, in spite of Mr. Tate's foolishness, joined him on the dais, he sat back down to listen to them sing. "Go on children! Sing for your Ministry!" He set the crowd to PRE-APPLAUSE. "Don't be shy! SING!"

Kurumi thought her arms were going to be taken off with the force from Lord Borr's snatching of her box of cookies. When she looked up from her bow, her eyes bugged out of her head when she saw that essentially all the cookies were gone.

At least her mother would be proud of the way she had introduced herself and offered the gift?

"The Gryffindor Head of House is Madam Donovan," Kurumi said shyly. "I am afraid she is not here."

Kurumi then looked around at her schoolmates and the Headmaster nervously. They were going to sing? Focusing on the Headmaster now, Kurumi lowered her voice. "Headmaster, if you conjure a piano I can play."

A few other students joined him, nearly all Gryffindors plus Jake Upstead who was clearly suffering from a nervous breakdown of some sort, and Tate shoved back his shoulders in acceptance of the very painful thing that was about to happen.

"I brought the Hufflepuff and Slytherin Heads with me, sir, but the Gryffindor Head of House was not invited, unfortunately," and he wasn't going to talk about what he was afraid might happen. It was violent and might get him thrown out of the party.

"Follow me, and don't worry too much about it," he spoke out of the corner of his mouth, hoping those few standing with him would sing loudly and as close to the right notes as they were able. Everything painful faded in memory.

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something, please,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,
Dead flies and bits of fluff,
So teach us things worth knowing,
Bring back what we've forgot,
Just do your best, we'll do the rest,
And learn until our brains all rot."

Erindipity 03-14-2011 11:50 PM

HAH! The meaniehead was Borr's NEPHEW! And he was being reprimanded... in a sense. Nah nah nah nah! Lexi stepped out from behind Tate, after taking a GREAT breath in from the shirt shoved in her face, and smiled brightly at Lord Borr.

Clearing her throat a few times she began to sing along with her Headmaster in a loud, clear voice. Much louder than one would imagine the little thing could belt out. It was that... or suffer hearing loss from the awful pitch that Tate was singing on. IF that could be considered singing.

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something, please,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees,

Lord Borr tried to hit the young slacker that shared Borr's blood, but he was just out of reach.

Contrary to popular belief (i.e. Berty Borr) his name was NOT Thomas Borr. It was Ocean Tea Jones. It was the name given to him by his deceased parents. He had long given up on correcting his Uncle, and merely accepted as part of his bitter fate. Reluctantly, Ocean obliged his Uncle's wishes.

"Help the children!" he repeated loudly as he stood up, tugging on his t-shirt. Honestly, if he was to help the children it would be to help them GET AWAY and not UP ON THE DIAS. Ocean walked down the steps of the dias and stared directly at the crowd of students some looking confused others looking rather put off. Well, I don't want to be here either, he thought resolutely. But if he was going to suffer so did everyone else! Yeah, that was possibly a childish thought but there you had it.

"If you have legs, you can stand up. If you're not mute, you can sing," informed Ocean loudly. "If you are mute, I apologize for being insensitive. It's just in my nature. Now, up you go!" he finished and gestured towards the dias.

The quicker the easier, he wanted to say but left it out. "You should all join your Headmaster. Don't you think so?" When he was at Hogwarts it was about solidarity. He supposed kids didn't know what that meant anymore. In any case it didn't matter because the current Headmaster seemed to take the brunt of the shame on his own and had started singing.

At least, Ocean thought it was singing but it sounded a lot like kneazles having their tails pulled by snot filled toddlers. Wincing, Ocean made it up the steps again and joined his Uncle's side; uncomfortably.

He tilted his head and pretended to be scratching one ear when he was really trying his best to plug it.

Tazenhani 03-14-2011 11:58 PM

He really couldn't believe he was doing this. Really could not. Jake seemed more than happy while Kurumi looked rather scared and intimidated and Tate just...well Tate was a little more than concerning. How he would have liked to give Borr a piece of his mind. But, needless to say it was a rather confusing mix of emotions and motivations behind each and everyone of them. The sooner this was over and they could get off the dais, the better.

But at least they were singing about Hogwarts? Lovely Hogwarts. Rather than some man claiming to be a Lord. Still, the song wasn't very flattering.

With a wince and an inhale of as much good air as he could get, he joined in the off-key chorus, hoping that Lexi's singing would mask his own off-key tone.

"Hogwarts, Hogwarts, Hoggy Warty Hogwarts,
Teach us something, please,
Whether we be old and bald
Or young with scabby knees,
Our heads could do with filling
With some interesting stuff,
For now they're bare and full of air,

sweetpinkpixie 03-14-2011 11:59 PM

Seeing that everyone was already singing, Kurumi looked around frantically for some sort of garbage. The first thing she spotted, unfortunately, was the remains of the box of cookies. "Excuse me, Lord Borr," she said reached out and taking the now empty box slowly from his hands. "I will be needing this."

Kurumi began to reach for her wand, when wizarding law rang in her ears. Wait...she wasn't allowed to perform magic outside of school. Turning her attention back to Lord Borr, since he did seem to be all official and all that. "With your permission, sir, I would very much like to transfigure this box into a piano so that I may accompany the others in performing the school song."

Christelle Rochebarron 03-15-2011 12:06 AM

Christelle Rochebarron was vaguely aware of very displeased faces in the sea of Hogwarts students. She watched them carefully with clear blue eyes, engraving them to her memory, in particular the one who had seemed to be whispering suspiciously to the Ministry official. From where she stood, Christelle smiled down at her. It was a pity she hadn't joined them.

Quote:

Christelle's smiled never faded. Instead, she allowed the corner of her eyes to crinkle for Her Lord's benefit. "My Lord, I'm sure there was just a slight miscommunication," chirped Rochellebarron, her eyes fleeting towards the Headmaster for millisecond. "I'm sure the students will be better prepared henceforth." Wouldn't they, Headmaster Tate?

She laughed softly and averted her eyes to the ground as soon as she felt the tension in the air. It was the time to grow silent. The singing began and her lips pursed. Christelle's face lit up and she looked up, nodding along to the rhythm of the song. She used her fingers as conductor baton's trying to encourage the people in the public to sing along.

They were all such sticks in the mud! Her attention diverted to the girl with the cookie box, requesting that she be allowed to perform a Transfiguration on it. Christelle's brows arched. Perhaps some students were better instructed than others.

Berty Borr 03-15-2011 01:14 AM

Lord Borr prodded his nephew with the tip of sausage-shaped forefinger. "Good job, nephew. You make your Uncle Lord Borr prrrrrrrrroud," he rumbled.

With Christelle at his side, his nephew on the other, he TOO directed the singing with using his cane as a baton. "GOOD JOB, Children! GOOD JOB! I know you tried your hardest and I recognize how lacking in leadership you are. BE PROUD of yourselves and take a bow!"

Lord Borr petted the little Gryffindor that was trying to take away his cookie box like she was a lost puppy. "Christelle. Make sure this one get an extra gift bag free of charge." To the rest of the BRITISH WIZARDING WORLD he announced, "OUR FUTURE! How about a ROUND of applause for them??!!"

And then, as if he couldn't quite help himself, Lord Borr added, "They were to sing a dedication to the Ministry, and more precisely, to ME as your new VIP in the Ministry of Magic. However, they're unguided and sang the ONLY song they know. So give them a round of applause as they leave the stage! WELL DONE STUDENTS. WELL DONE. For the love of cookies, Tate, spare us all next time." Lord Borr honestly couldn't remember inviting the man up.

SOME people were SUCH glory hogs.

Erindipity 03-15-2011 01:21 AM

Lexi finished singing and cringed a bit at those that were still singing slightly off key and such as she finished. Oh how terrible. He was saying things about their lack of leadership. This made Lexi blink several times and pull a face that clearly said she was unimpressed with the walrus like man.

She loved Headmaster Tate and he was great to them all. She stood a little straighter as she muttered, "There is NOTHING wrong with our leadership and we sang at a moment's notice you old wind bag." She couldn't help herself...

Realizing what she had just said she looked around and then scooted a bit closer to Tate and looked up at him with a confused look on her face. Like... should I have said that aloud? Should I run now? HELP ME.

Perhaps the applause would have kept her muttering from reaching any of the man's lackeys or his own ears.

Crap.

She gave a litte curtsey and smiled a very false smile as she started to tug both Tate and Sabel away by their hands...or attempted to anyway.

Cassirin 03-15-2011 01:26 AM

"As you wish," Tate raised an ironic eyebrow at Borr, and deciding it was lost on him, raising the same eyebrow to the man's nephew. Someone had to realize how absolutely absurd all this was.

He gestured for the students to return to their seats. "Nice work, my friends. Just head on back to your seats and we'll let Lord Borr give his speech."

sweetpinkpixie 03-15-2011 01:34 AM

Kurumi decided to give up trying to take away the box since it seemed like he wanted to keep it - perhaps to lick the crumbs?

Bowing once again to the man, Kurumi was just about to return to her seat when Lexi opened her mouth and...

MERLINE'S SPARKLY PURPLE UNDERPANTS!

Lexi did NOT just say that!

Not knowing what else to do, Kurumi just stood frozen in place with her mouth gaping open.

She should have brought more cookies...

Tazenhani 03-15-2011 01:36 AM

Good jebus, the man was as loud as any bagpipe he had ever heard, and much less pleasant. At least they didn't have to sing again. That was a complete relief.

Though he really did have to agree, with a small smile, with Lexi's mutterings, as quiet as they were. The only leadership that was a problem at the moment, was the one bad mouthing their leadership. With a frown, he considered Borr a moment before turning to Tate. Their Headmaster, the one that deserved all the recognition in the world. The man that had been nothing but put down since the moment he arrived here. Without much thought given to hesitation or consequence, he gave the man, their Headmaster and their true leader, a sharp, smart salute. There was not a bit of mockery in the gesture, just plain, pure respect and recognition for what the man truly was.

With no more than a glanced frown over at the Lord Borr, he lowered his hand and took Lexi's hand again, and the gaping Kurumi's hand, ready to leave the dias. This was why they had sung. That was it, that was all.

Ama 03-15-2011 01:45 AM

Proud his non-butt.

Ocean glanced at his Uncle out of the corner of his eyes. Normally, he didn't like being touched by anyone, specifically his Uncle Bert. One was never sure of where those fingers had last been. He struggled with all his might against the deep urge to just charm himself clean. Jones did well and his wand remained on his holster for the time being.

It was a good thing he was used to Bert's shouting. He wasn't sure if the rest of the children present would be okay. Ocean felt sympathetic. Surely, they must have all suffered some kind of hearing damage both produced by his Uncle vociferous yelling and their Headmaster's and company's singing. Although, the girl with the cookies had something of a sweet voice. He couldn't say the same for the tallest of the boys. Ocean raised a brow in his direction. Hopefully he had no dreams of achieving singing star status.

The little blond, which in all honesty, had been slightly off-key was now back-talking to his Uncle. Ocean snorted again, amused by her daring. Yeah, she was definitely a Gryffindor. He was so good at spotting them.

"You don't want to know how much wind he can pass," muttered Ocean out of the corner of his mouth and patted the girl's shoulder as she passed by.

He caught Headmaster Tate's facial expression and Ocean instinctively reflected it on his face as well.

What was he supposed to do about all of this? His Uncle was an old man with digestion problems who thinks himself a lord and insisted on calling him by the wrong name. People should try putting themselves in his shoes for once.

Christelle Rochebarron 03-15-2011 01:52 AM

Christelle nodded and smiled down at the girl. She clapped cheerfully for all the brave little singers, and not so little seeing as Headmaster Tate was a grown man. "Bravo!" she enthused with a little shake of her head and continued her clapping until it reached a slow halt.

"Before you go," she said to the girl who Lord Borr had pointed out to her. "May I have your name? I can search for you once His Lordship has finished giving his speech."

Kurumi continued to gawk at Lexi and flashed nervous glances between her and Lord Borr. This certainly was a very strange time to be a witch. Kurumi only closed her mouth when she felt someone take a hold of her hand and was about to use her kendo reflexes to push them away or worse when she saw it was Sabel who had done so.

Feeling a bit relieved, a nervous smile crawled across her lips.

Catching up! Riley is Green Armen is grey!

OCC: For Borr, Hogwarts Children, and Lottie and any other people on the dias! :woot:
Riley followed Headmaster Tate and the rest of the students up to Lord Borr's Dias with his legs trembling. He had seen the HUGE man enter the party and was certain they were being called up there for a human sacrifice and he was going to eat them then and there! But they were going to sing?! Ummm he didn't know what to sing, he wasn't a very good singer at all and he hadn't even been given time to prepare.

Before he had too much time to panic the Headmaster and Lexi Denver started singing the School Song so Riley joined in, singing high and low in different parts and trying to make the overall effect sound pleasing. After the many tunes and pitches ended Borr seemed to love it and asked for applause. Good they were finished. The Gryffindor watched as he praised Gryffindors as a whole and Kurumi. Apparently fatty liked his cookies. The sixth year continued to look at the other officials sitting around the dias, they were a bit intimidating.

Armen had been talking to some old Cult members in the Seating area and had thought he had saw Borr enter the tent. Noticing that it was infact their 'biggest' leader, he finished up his goodbyes and headed towards the dial. When he arrived he walked up to a chair by Erica, a fellow Cult Department Head, and sat down listening with bright eyes and an excited grin on his face as the students gave their in-promt-to sing along, clapping his hands here and there. "Hello there Erica! They are doing well no?"

"Great job children!" he said enthusiastically waving at them like a crazed loon. All this party stuff was getting to his head and the addition of crazed singing all at different pitches by students just fed fuel to the fire.

"Lord Borr isn't this just a glorious day for celebrations for you!" he said leaning forward and addressing the planet of a man a few chairs away.

Lord Borr's complexion reddened, from the tips of his ears to the rolling hills and valleys of his chins. "SECURITY."

Need he say more?

He "TAPPED" his cane-scepter onto the stage once more, calling for attention. The massive man heaved a sigh, the disappointment evident. "Sorry, my people, for that debacle. You know the old saying that if you want something done right, you must do it yourself!" That cheered him up and the Lord GUFFAWED at his own comic. "Let's move right along! I have a FEW announcements to make! So clean out your ears!"

Lord Borr cleared his throat. "First, I would like thank you all for coming! Thank you for showing your support! Thank you for wanting to be BETTER! This is the first step, I believe - and therefore I KNOW, into making our world BETTER for one and for all. That SAID, in addition to my own new arrival at the Ministry in a higher up position we also have made a FEW MORE new hires."

"Would Mr. Ren Sakura and Miss Iridesca D'Ann MacMillan please join me on the dais? Mr. Sakura and Miss MacMillan will be the new Department Heads for the Mysteries and Accidents and Catastrophes Department, respectively." Lord Borr scanned the audience, then continued on. "I'm sure you all have noticed this beauty," Lord Borr then motioned for Christelle Rochebarron to wave to the crowd. "She is joining the Ministry as my Assistant."

Lord Borr then cast a conspiratorial glance to the other men on the dais with him. "In addition, and as I'm SURE was just proven by that lackluster performance, we find the Department of Education not suitable and we have closed it down for good. The authority over the school will return to its root beginnings and be ruled over by appointed governors from henceforth. In its place, however, we have set up a MUCH more appropriate Department that will offer protection and regulation to the environment around us AND our brothers and sisters of the muggle world."

Lord Borr clapped THE loudest at his OWN speech. "Mr. Rafael Ángel Belmonte Delgado will be the first Head of the Environment Regulation and Protection Department!!!!!!!"

"Stand up, Thomas. Stat the crowd in a standing ovation!" Lord Borr prodded his nephew with his cane. Stand UP UP UP UP UP.

Armen nodded and took a glance at the new Department Heads as they were announced and he began to clap as Borr went on with is moving speech. There were many changes and he was sure they were going to better the Wizarding world for many years to come. And he was glad he was with the RIGHT group to be making them.

He stood up and applauded with Lord Borr.

sweetpinkpixie 03-15-2011 03:35 AM

at all you Hogwarts people :D

Charles felt his heard stopped in his chest when he saw his daughter appear on the stage next to the pompous pig of a man. He even became furious enough to nearly lose his cool completely and for his abilities to get out of control. Thankfully, looking back at Kurumi brought him back to where he was and what he was doing.

Marching up to the stage as if Lord Borr had called him to bring the children from the stage, he nodded to the whale. "Come along now everyone," he said glancing at the boy who was holding onto Kurumi's hand and offering him a gentle smile.

Kurumi looked up at the man who had suddenly appeared and felt as though she recognized him...there was something in his green eyes... "E-E-Excuse me, sir," she stammered still clutching Sabel's hand for dear life. "Who are you?"

"My name is Winston Lionheart," he said with a flicker of a frown upon his lips at having to lie to his daughter who stood there right in front of him. He would have to tell Yukie that she was remembering her manners even in front of people who didn't deserve it. His eyes flicked towards Borr. "I'm with the American Ministry. Why don't we all go back to your seating area, shall we?"

PatInTheHat 03-15-2011 05:14 AM

The children were anything but entertaining. Shame really, because Rafael certainly could use some form of entertainment at the moment, excluding the elephantine man that had just introduced him to the party. Lord Borr provided only so much amusement before he too became monotonous. Though his entrance was VERY amusing.

The man let the disinterest leave his eyes as they swerved from the parting students to the crowd, a smile twitching onto his expression as he gave a little wave.

His dark eyes narrowed slightly when flicking over to Borr. The man didn't expect any words from Rafa now did he? He hadn't planned on giving any until even sitting in his nice chair grew boring and we went to... mingle with the guests.

He scanned the crowd for the other two new Department Heads.

Ren Sakura 03-15-2011 05:22 AM

Striding confidently from the Gift Bag tables, Ren Sakura approached the dias as his name was called, then stopping directly in front of the throne, bent from his waist in a low bow "An honor to be in your presence my Lord, as well as my utmost gratitude to your boundless generosity Your Excellency". Was that a little over the top? Not for a man like Lord Borr.

He straightened himself up and took his place behind the great throne, dark eyes coolly scanning the room as Borr continued with his speech.

Erindipity 03-15-2011 05:35 AM

Lexi actually cracked a small smile at the man as he patted her shoulder and muttered about his uncle... but it all kind of faded when she heard Borr yelling for security to come after her... and then the rest of the speech...

She let Sabel lead her away, but her face was the utter mask of shock that she was certain everyone else should have... Did they understand? Was history flipping repeating itself? Yes. In a sense. Only this BAG OF WIND was WORSE than Umbridge had ever thought of being. What a load of waffle this all was...

AND that Department of Mysteries guy gave her the creeps... When in the love Merlin were they LEAVING?

Tazenhani 03-15-2011 05:48 AM

Least to say, in a spare matter of minutes things got strange really, really quickly. All the reassuring smiles he could give to Kurumi meant little in the face of that strange woman that seemed intent on making the girl some sort of after-dinner snack. And as for Borr, he was glad his eyes didn't pop fully out of his sockets given the man's reaction; one that had his grip tightening on Lexi's hand and giving her a firm tug. Then there was the arrival of some rather strange and creeptastic ministry officials that seemed to watch everything with bug-eyes that could feast on souls. The only semi-trustworthy one was the man who seemed to be security, who thankfully, for many sakes took the gentle approach to asking them to leave.

It was on the way off the dais that things hit hard though and he nearly stopped dead. The Ministry of Education was being replaced? Which meant...

The sinking feeling in his stomach was unbearable and he was grateful that he wasn't exactly free to stop or turn around.

Ren Sakura 03-15-2011 07:02 AM

The new ERPD head entered his field of vision when the man waved, and Ren made a tiny nod of his head in acknowledgement. But his sight shifted quickly at this unknown man saying he was from the American Ministry and began ushering the students away. Cold dark eyes narrowed imperceptibly as he followed them leave, straying a second longer at the blonde child being yelled at earlier as well as-- ah yes, the Mouthpiece beside her. He now sees his face clearly and the image in his head is now complete. Yes boy, walk away and take the troublesome little blondie with you before you both get in way over your heads.

"Glad you could make it, Erica. Lovely day for such an occasion!" Lord Borr chuckled and wafted the odd odor away from him and towards the stairs where the first Hogwarts guests were arriving.

ABOUT TIME.

The Blondes head swerved to the side as Borr started talking to her. A smile fell on her face, yes she was most certainly happy that she had pride of place up here compared to those poor Students and Ministry workers that were all huddled down on the floor.

Her nose twitched slightly at the smell, but she made sure not to make any other movement, she didn't want to be rude after all. "I'm very glad I could make it myself my Lord" she grinned at the larger man, it was an excuse to get out of the Ministry after all. "You certainly did choose a very good day to hold it on and a marvelous turn out as well, I must add." Yes. Flattery got you everywhere. Especially if you were a Department Head and a cultist.

Her eyes fell upon the students and the very good looking Headmaster as they started to sing. It wasn't SO bad.. Not as bad as she had expected it to be anyway. She made an effort to applaud, it was good entertainment after all.

SPOILER!!: Chris <3

Erica's eyebrow raised as the Transportation Head, yes the very one who was relucant to join them in the first place, sat next to her on the Dias. She smiled politely of course, impressed with his sudden turn of loyalties. "Well I guess they are good starting entertainment. Though I'm pretty certain with a little practice they could have done much better" It was clear of course that this performance was not planned and Lord Borr had suddenly sprung it across them.

"So Armen, aren't you glad you are one of us now? See being a part of this certainly has plenty of benefits" she winked at him.

Lord Borr APPROVED of this one. Enthusiastic lad, just what he liked to see. "Have you met the new hires, Armen my boy? How about my new Assistant? Why don't you run along and fetch me a plate?" The great man chuckled and rubbed at his tummy. "Speeches ALWAYS work my appetite."

Lilyan Moretti wasted no time in making her way towards the dias, although she was not REALLY sure why Lord Borr had called out her name so LOUDLY, or wanted her to come to see him, but, she wasn't about to keep the large man waiting.

"To what do I owe the honor, Lord Borr?" She asked, when she reached him. Lilyan preferred to be in the background for most everything, but somehow she found herself in the forefront. Even so, she held up her composure, and offered a genuine charming smile to the LARGE man.

She was calling on all of her Gryffindor bravery, and none of the stupidity.

"The honour is all ours," Lord Borr looked around to his staff on the dais. THEY should BOW and RESPECT his SPECIAL GUEST. "I'm so glad you got time off to attend! It's wonderful to see you again." Lord Borr leaned forward from his throne and patted his cheek twice with his large, rounded finger.

Kisses
for Lord Borr, please, right on the sweaty cheek.

Ah.

Miss Erica Radley.

He held just a bit of amusement in his eyes as he returned the woman's stare. Really, he was unimpressed. And he also wasn't looking forward to sharing work space with this woman, let alone an entire level. One of the pitfalls of his new job he supposed. Just to work her nerves a bit, he wiggled his fingers in her direction.

But enough of Erica. He could bother her another time. Lord Borr seemed to demand his attention. And even though Rafa hadn't known the man for a significant amount of time, he'd seen how the others treated the large man enough times to pick up on the social cues.

Rafa extended a warm smile to the large man. "I fear there are no words to fully express my gratitude, my Lord." Not in any of the languages he spoke apparently. Rising to his feet, he gently took hold of the man's hand and bowed deeply. "But please know that I am extremely grateful that I was chosen out of what I am sure was many well qualified environmentalist." He wasn't kissing the man's hand. But he did raise the hand to his facial area before releasing it and lowering himself back into his seat with another low bow. Smile still present.

He was impervious to the Lord's odor. Charms were nifty. Smoothing out his Borr shirt as he settled back into his seat, Rafa turned his dark eyes to Healer Lilyan and nodded his head respectively to her as well. Was she REALLY going to kiss the man? He watched with interest.

Kisses
for Lord Borr, please, right on the sweaty cheek.

Say what you will, but it was pretty cushy being on Borr's good side, the blonde woman smiled as he spoke to her, "Thank you sir, I am pleased to have been invited to your wonderful affair." It beat staying inside the hospital wing, whether anyone else agreed with her or not.

Ah. The man wanted kisses, was that it?

Being both a mother and a Healer, Lilyan had seen it all. ALL. A bit of sweat didn't bother her much, but as she leaned towards the man's side, she also cast a small non-verbal spell that she often times used in the hospital to keep her fevered patients sweating at bay. It was hardly enough for the man to notice, but it made the whole thing a little bit easier on her part.

She placed one kiss on each of his cheeks, much like a greeting that anyone in her Italian family would receive, and she straightened once more. "Congratulations on your promotion."

There was one Healer who wouldn't be getting kissed again any time soon.

Lilyan shifted her eyes towards the man. Yes. She had kissed him, and his cheeks were very clean now, too.

Ocean wasn't really overwhelmed. Everyone else seemed to be. This was just another day in his life; his Uncle making a spectacle of himself and everything and everyone around him. Common. Ordinary.

Like the toast he had every morning with a bit of Vegemite. Good stuff.

Jones waved at everyone awkwardly with one hand, the other in a pocket. He was surprised at the amount of pretty women his Uncle knew (alright, just two). He was even more surprised that one of them was kissing Uncle Bert.

That woman was a saint. Bless her. He might just have to marry her.

For all those quoted below and a small wave to Christelle Rochebarron ;)

Though I'm pretty certain with a little practice they could have done much better" It was clear of course that this performance was not planned and Lord Borr had suddenly sprung it across them.

"So Armen, aren't you glad you are one of us now? See being a part of this certainly has plenty of benefits" she winked at him.

Then the Lord had made his speech, the Blonde sat and listened politely, clapping loudly as he finished and smiling a little at each of the names mentioned. That was until of course, the new Environmental Department Head was announced.

The Creatures head slowly narrowed her eyes. She was NOT IMPRESSED that she had to share Level 4 with another person. That meant Conference Room as well, she had her OWN ideas of what she wanted it to look like, she didn't want others influencing her.

Armen sat back into his chair after applauding the end of Borr's speech and the important Ministry announcements. He turned his head back towards the woman, Erica, that was on his right. "Oh well you have to give them credit, Erica, some of them were in key." he chuckled. "Besides, if they were trying to teach the children such useless things as singing, then it is far in the past now that we have the Board of Governors back in control." he sighed clapping a hand on his knee.

Watching her glance around the crowded dias, no doubt looking for the new department heads aswell, Armen too moved his head too and fro. The new hires for the most part must be more Cult members but perhaps not. Then the Creatures Dept. head spoke of his change in attitude towards his once-forced alligances. "Oh yes, about that. There is no concern for me to go back. Things are good here now and I certainly do enjoy the treatment." he said looking at the mass of people all BELOW them in the crowd. Ahh the Cult was now a great sense of pride in Armen now.

Then Armen watched as Erica' eyes settled on a man not too far from them, the one that Borr had mentioned would be running the new Department for the environment. He grinned mischeviously at the realization that he would be sharing a level with his new friend Erica and leaned in close to her. "Oh I see you noticed your new nieghbor, shall I invite him over?"

Without waiting for an answer he raised his hand to call attention to himself and spoke, "Excuse me, Rafeal is it? Why don't you come over here and join us for a little bit?" he said with a sly grin at the woman at his side again. Ahhh he loved bickering with her!

Armen stopped breifly in his games with Erica as he caught glimpse of the most intriguing new hire, Ren Sakura. He watched as he walked towards the Hogwarts students who were being ushered off the stage by an American gentleman, he seemed like it at least, and then something peculiar happened. Ren just stared at him, kind of menacingly.

Armen wasn't scared of this guy maybe a little but they were on the same side so it really didn't matter. He nodded his head slightly at the man in welcome and would talk to him if he decided to speak, if not they could always meet at work. Although he had seen him at the cultist meeting a few months ago.

"That reminds me," Lord Borr suddenly scanned the crowds, particularly the area that housed the Hogwarts guests. "Lilyan? Healer Lilyan? Come up to the dais!"

Armen bowed slightly at the waist as Borr addressed him. "Ah yes Sir I have had the breif pleasure of meeting Mr. Sakura at an...ahem...out of work meeting once." he said with a small nod. Borr would know what he meant but even though the Dias was made up of mostly pro-cult members the general public was not far away, nor deaf. "But I don't plan to let the others leave your celebrations today without saying my welcomes." the Department head said with a smile.

"Your assistant sir?" he said with a quizzical look on his face. Oh yeah he had mentioned in his speech that he was gettting a new one, and then had gestured to the attractive red-haired woman sitting on his other side. It was no wonder Armen couldn't see her before, Borr was blocking the view of the whole other side of the dias. "Oh Miss. Rochebarron? No I haven't my Lord. But I certainly won't waste time in doing so." he looked over in her direction and made a small wave, hoping for one in return.

Almost forgetting the plate of food Borr had requested, like he needed another, Armen hastely grabbed a tray, not just a plate but a TRAY, from a passing by waiter and gave it to the LARGE man.

Another Hogwarts staff? Armen waited to see what she looked like and whether or not it would be a shocking old member of the Cult like Lafay or not. But it was a new face, a young one and yet another attractive woman. he watched as she approached the dias and then.....KISSED BORR?! WHAT?! Why was it that Borr has two really attractive woman around him and all Armen had the bickering Erica Radley beside him (kidding LOL!:P)

Armen smiled smally at the Healer and nodded at her wondering if she would cme over.

Christelle Rochebarron 03-16-2011 02:15 AM

Christelle also clapped enthusiastically although she didn't think she could beat Armen. For his commendable behavior, the red-head sent him a playful wink. Her attention on the fervently clapping man didn't last long. There were so many other faces to see. She smiled at all of them, including Ren Sakura. There was quiet Rafael and the less than happy looking Erica.

There was also the Hogwarts' Healer who seemed pretty cozy with Lord Borr. Rochebarron pursed her lips glancing down at the woman's choice of footwear before glancing up with a smile.

"Such manners!" she chirped. "I believe there are ladies yet in this world. My Lord," interrupted Christelle, standing close to His Lordship. She placed on hand on his corpulent arm. "If you're hungry, allow me to fetch you something," she finished. Her offer was unnecessary as Armen, still enthusiastic, seized the day and managed to fulfill Lord Borr's request in an instant.

Matchmaker matchmaker! Lord Borr had been KNOWN to make a few PAIRS in his long, successful, epic life.

"I know he's not much to look at Lily, but he's got GOOD genes if you know what I mean. I think he has a good chin. He gets it from me." He GUFFAWED and CACKLED and KICKED his legs like an OCTOPUS.

"I'll let you two get to know one another while I attend to Armen." Armen, Armen, Armen. "Put that tray right here, boy. Right on my lap. Did you get a NAPKIN? You DO have manners, don't you boy? Rafael couldn't hide his amusement as the Healer looked his way, and silently inclined his head respectfully towards her once more. She was indeed a brave woman to kiss the cheeks of Lord Borr. Then again, she was the school's healer, and that too took a lot of bravery in his opinion.

Of course his attention didn't stay on the man long, and once again he found his gaze turning to another new face. And his new neighbor. Deciding that this would be more interesting than watching the show Lord Borr was putting on for them, he rose from his chair and moved to the free seat beside the man. "It is Rafael." He nodded his head with a smile, gaze flicking to Erica. "And I have a bit of time." Before he decided to mingle with the party goers. His gaze returned to the man. Rafa didn't miss the smile he received from Lord Borr's lovely assistant either. He smiled back and inclined his head towards the woman. She would have received more than that had his attention not been diverted to someone who was obviously more deserving.

Well he certainly was easy to please. Rafa grinned, more than satisfied with himself and the approval from the large man. And then he bowed his head in appreciation of the praise he was receiving. "Thank you, My Lord." All the applause wasn't necessary, but he welcomed it with a smile all the same before turning his attention back to the amusement that Borr was providing.

Armen was glad to see that his mentioning of her name to the fat man had gotten her attention once again. Turning to face her small frame and radiant features Armen smiled largely showing his sparkling teeth. "Well hello, Christelle." first name basis it was then! "Armen Recard, but Armen will do. Beside Armen and Christelle, Lord Borr was having a right leg spasm fit and it was shaking the dias where they stood slightly. Politely saying nothing about the small tremors, the transportation Dept. Head turned to Borr as he addressed him again. "Oh yes Lord Borr, here you go your honor!" the tray of beef-squewers was placed in the large man's, He called that a lap? And they were now in the danger zone, sure to be gobbled up in mere seconds.

Oh a napkin? "Oh beg my pardon sir!" He looked around anxiously and then pulled out the silk pocket square from the front breast pocket of his suit and handed it to the Junior Undersecretary. "Here you are, do enjoy your meal." Armen began to wonder what the BIG plans were but was sidetracked with the little warning for him and his new 'friend'.

He rubbed the back of his neck and looked at Christelle with a chuckle. Ahhh Lord Borr stooooop it! *giggle*

Armen instantly as if on que began clapping, it was obvious when clapping waas heard if you were on the dias you did it as well.

Christelle Rochebarron 03-16-2011 03:31 AM

Orders were orders and Christelle obeyed the Lord's wishes. She clapped for his new hires, again. Rafael had made a lasting impression on Lord Borr and Christelle found her attention moving towards him again. Her eyes were on her but very briefly. Of course, that was bound to happen when His Lordship was nearby. He was a man with a commanding presence. It was natural that all eyes were on him even.

Christelle cleared her throat and fixed her t-shirt, sticking her chest out slightly.

Christelle tilted her face away from him. She looked up through her lashes when he kissed her hand, a small smile tugging on a corner of her red lips. "My matters lay with His Lordship," informed Rochebarron giving a small nod in the director of Lord Borr. "As long as he is here, I have no reason for leaving. Your offer is a generous one. I hope you know I'll have you stick to your word," concluded Christelle, an auburn brow perched high on her brow.

She retrieved her hand and looked around her when she felt the ground shaking slightly. A moment of observation and Christelle found the source to be her Lord. He was so energetic and cute! The woman laughed behind a manicured hand. His warning forced a louder chuckle from her.

"My Lord!" she exclaimed, pressing one hand against her voluminous chest in mock shock. "Have I ever given you the impression that I am anything but nice? A friend of Lord Borr is a friend of mine."

A diamond in a bag of marbles? That was a new saying to Ocean. He wasn't familiar with it in any case. It sounded very Muggle-ish to him. Ocean shrugged more to himself than to the people speaking around him. It wasn't unlike his Uncle to make up things as well. For all Ocean knew, Bert was just talking nonsense.

Who put Diamonds with marbles anyways? Diamonds belong in jewelry unless you were Ocean then you'd shove them in a secret vault and wait to collect money.

He couldn't very well shove Lily in a vault and wait to collect her later though; well, technically he could--he was deviating and he was supposed to be talking to the woman instead of staring at her dumbly. Ocean blinked a few times before smiling broadly.

"I agree. I do like my chin," he said, rubbing the back of his neck which had grown hot and red. "I don't think I get it from him though," added Ocean casting a side long glance at his Uncle. Which chin was Uncle Bert talking about anyways? The first, second or third one in between his face and neck? "Uh, anyways," he continued with a laugh. Ocean offered her his hand. "It's lovely to meet you. Really, it is, you know, despite the circumstances."

And the stench. The stench which he was slightly used to but it didn't make it any less pungent. He was going to have to limit his Uncle's bean intake again, wasn't he?

"That is very sweet of you to say." Indeed it was! She didn't so much mind letting the man say nice things to her.

Despite the absurdities of the situation she'd found herself in, Lilyan Moretti laughed along with Lord Borr, and managed not to cringe when he called for his nephew.

And the stench. The stench which he was slightly used to but it didn't make it any less pungent. He was going to have to limit his Uncle's bean intake again, wasn't he?

"You have a lovely chin." Lily assured with a nod. As far as chins go, she was sure that his was just fine. She took his hand and gave it a shake, pleasant as always, and unaware of these thoughts of putting her in a vault...? "Nice to meet you."

Well.

Alright then.

Ocean laughed nervously, shaking her hand a little too energetically before releasing it. He pocketed his hands thinking it was the wisest decision he could make all day. Nothing good could come from shaking more hands.

"Yours isn't too terrible either!" quipped Jones. His vivid expression clouded when his own words echoed around his head. "I mean...it's...nice. Too."

Yup.

For Lord Borr

Charles walked towards Lord Borr's throne with one hand behind his back and the other cross in front of his stomach. His father had taught him the proper way to approach with dignity. When he got closer he glanced up at Lord Borr, and did a slight bend at his waist dipping his head down slightly. He wasn't really sure how the Lord would react to him...you just never knew with such an amazing man.

He looked at the crowd waiting for Iridesca to approach the stage so he could congratulate her. He knew the Lord had made the right choice.

Lezleighd 03-17-2011 02:24 PM

Thanks for Lord Borr

Iridesca did a quick check of herself in a local reflection and then headed up to the stage. She had to admit that this was a little bit of a surprise but she was excited. She smiled as she approached Lord Borr.

When she got close, she did a little curtsy and waited for him to acknowledge her. Then she sweetly said, "Thank Lord Borr for thinking of me. I hope that I can make you proud!".

Well, well well finally there was a good reason to have a overly obease, sweating, power hungry man around it would keep Christelle here, and for that he was thankful. He could still feel the softness of her hand on his lips and smell the slight perfume that graced her skin. He had never really felt this intoxicated by a woman before. Sure he had had crushes and relationships before but she seemed different. Definately had his attention.

The Department Head chuckled some more as his new co-worker reacted to Lord Borr's little warning with laughter. Good. "Yes Lord Borr I do hope to stay in good graces with this one." he said turning his head to the side jokingly. Turning back to her and looking at her well-fitting Lord Borr t-shirt, she at least seemed to be able to pull that look off, he spoke again rubbing the slight stubble on his chin. "So Christelle perhaps after the party you wouldn't mind coming with me to the Leaky for a few drinks would you? In celebration of his Lordship, of course." No it wasn't, this was a date in Armen's mind. But any extra flattery for the Junior Undersecretary was a plus.

Lord Borr IGNORED her?!?! With a MASSIVE frown, Erica sunk back down into her chair, her arms folded across her chest and a heavy sigh. A scowl came to her face as she stared out into the audience or whatever, not really paying attention to what anyone was saying any more.

Here is the thanks you get for being a devout cultist is it? Sitting at the top table at some random party where you have to wear Borr's face on your chest. Maybe she WOULD go back home.

Pfft..

Erica rolled her eyes at the man to her left, she would be far more entertained if they made the Hogwarts staff do the singing, instead of letting the children take centre stage. Now THAT would be far more interesting. "I guess SOME of them we're" she muttered, with a slight smile. She could go as far as saying SOME of them we're reasonably precious. And well, the Headmaster wasn't exactly tough to look at now was he? "Well I think that should be made mandatory then. Isn't there a choir master like there used to be? At least then we would know that all the children would have been taught to sing" with the toads. Yes?

"Well I'm glad to see that you have a change of heart then Armen. Its good to see you enjoying yourself up here" Because right now she wasn't. "Being with us certainly does have its benefits after all." The Blonde managed a small wink. Her eyes glanced back over at the newcomers. One she recognised from a meeting a little while back, Ren was it? The new Mysteries head. The thirty two year old sent over a smile at him, he was one of them after all and a welcoming nod.

Was he playing games with her? Inviting over her new neighbour to talk? She frowned slightly at him, before choosing to speak. "I am NOT happy that I have to share my level now, yes everything pretty much. I like my privacy you know" she folded her arms again looking away from him and towards the man heading towards them and Borr.

And there came a finger waggle. The thirty two year old narrowed her eyes even further, clearly unimpressed by the new Department Heads way of introducing himself to her.

"Don't you waggle your fingers at me" she ordered, with a scoff of the head.

Rafael was watching the Lord play match maker with his assistant and his nephew, but that didn't mean he was ignoring the woman he was to share a level with. Head turning back to her, he stroked his goatee absently. "That is no way to welcome a new neighbor," he mused, noting her sudden change in demeanor. "Even if I am... unwelcomed."

He let a small smile spread across his lips. "Shall we try again Miss Radley or do you wish to keep hold of this unwarranted animosity towards me?" He raised an eyebrow, amusement still present though it was obvious he was earnest.

"I don't believe I know your name..."

Armen was having far too much fun as he witness/forced the meeting of the new Environmental Department Head and Erica. Not only did he find it hilarious that they had to share a level but the fact that they already weren't getting along promised alot of bickering and fighting to come, for which Armen only had ONE level seperating him from all the excitement.

Trying his best to keep his eagerness for a verbal assult by Erica on the new guy here and there infront of everyone, Armen nodded and smiled at the new-comer. "Nice to meet you Rafeal." He was a bit taken aback that he hadn't heard of him, he had been the Transportation Head for a while now. Oh well. "No worries, my name is Armen Recard, Magical Transportation Head, up on level six. Welcome to the team!" he said shaking the guy's hand.

Turning to watch Erica react to the man some more, Armen winked at her before biting his lower lip in a BAD attempt at hiding a smile when she began to order him to stop wagging his finger at her. This was amazing! "Ahh you two!" he said as if they were a couple of bickering brother and sister. Teh creatures Department Head was probably going to kill him after this, he could see it in her eyes.

"Lord Borr, I must congratulate you onyour promotion. I am looking to join the Ministry. My name is Leonidas Trevors." He said as he bowed to the plump man, looking him over. Ahhh, so many people of the Cult here, including the guest of honor. Now where is that blasted wandmaker? Leonidas was wearing a black silk shirt, an emerald green tie made of silk, a dragon hide vest, and a long leather cape, black on the outside, and emerald green silk on the inside, and of course his black leather gloves. He gathered his new walking stick/wand with the giant emerald top back in his hand and turned towards the shop. Maybe he's over there waiting on me. I just hope he knows that he'd better show up.

His hands began to sweat, so he took the gloves off and shoved them in his back pocket. Every other person he passed by he could sense was a Cult member. His family crest with the emerald underneath seemed to catch every light in the place and shown blilliantly. The stone in the other ring, however, showed up grey and dull and was a little tarnished. That had been a family heirloom as well. His father told him the story about finding it after the fall of the Dark Lord in the Foribidden Forrest of Hogwarts. He always wore this ring in case he needed advisement from his grandfather, also a Death Eater, and his wife, both of whom were dead. He never took this ring off except to use it. He quickened his pace to the wand shop as the lights grew dimmer and dimmer. This man had better not set him up.

Lord Borr spit the big ball of phlegm into his handkerchief and handed it off to his Assistant. He was VERY busy and missed most of the speech from the new arrival to his throne, but waved in a general VERY BUSY AND IMPORTANT way.

"Christelle. Prepare us to leave. Partying can only last so long before we must get back to work." It was in Borr's opinion that the Ministry had been PARTYING for TOO long. Particularly the lazy MLE. His beady black eyes scanned the crowd for Bole before he peeled his body out of the throne to give closing remarks.

"I see the children of Hogwarts are preparing to go. I think we all should take a page from their book and GET BACK TO WORK. CHILDREN? Are you listening?" Lord Borr paused generously to await for their small brains to catch up. "I am very proud of you, in spite of your melodic shortcomings. Even still, I want you to go away with something. I want you to take back a GIFT to your fellow students and you can tell them that YOU - and me - are responsible for the gift."

Lord Borr paused again for dramatic emphasis and for gaseous bowel rumbling relief.

"I have canceled all NEWTs and OWLs for this year! YOU'RE WELCOME! Tell all your peers what we did for them!"

Lord Borr clapped for himself and the students of Hogwarts. "Finish your plates and conversations, then get back to WORK! Get ready for change!"

She shook her right and left and then spoke, "Sorry sir that it took so long...there are so many people here to honor you that it took me a while to make my way through the crowd up here..." she said knowing that he would like that answer.

She turned towards the crowd and smiled trying to step out of the way. She winked at Charles to wish him good luck but was interrupted by Borr's next announcement..she turned back towards him with a forced smile on her face pretty sure that she hadn't heard him correctly. She scanned the faces of the students and saw her neice, Satine, finally and instantly knew from her face that yes she had understood him correctly...he was canceling tests at Hogwarts....

For the first time in her life she was speechless but kept her smile plastered on her face.

"Christelle. Prepare us to leave. Partying can only last so long before we must get back to work." It was in Borr's opinion that the Ministry had been PARTYING for TOO long. Charles D'Isigny had somehow managed to miss her attention. Christelle punished her lower lip for such an unforgivable act. Now that Lord Borr was directing everyone's attention to the attractive man, the red-head allowed herself a moment of self-indulgence. She took in his appearance and his quiet and magnetic charisma with a small smile. There were very few men like Charles D'Isgny--in fact, there were none save for his very father.

Christelle clapped, perhaps a little too excitedly. The palms of her hands itched so she rubbed them together briefly, wishing the tickling to go away even as Lord Borr went into a coughing fit. Her left brow rose a fraction of an inch as she took the handkerchief into her hand. Well, she couldn't complain much. There had been worse things on her hands.

She nodded at Lord Borr before turning to Armen. "It seems I have some work to do. If you'll excuse me, His Lordship needs me. It's been a pleasure to meet you," she finished before placing a hand gently on Lord Borr's shoulder. "My Lord, I'm ready whenever you are."

Apologies my Lord for the other missed quote

Ren stood quietly by his Lordship, listening to his speeches and conversation with those he considered to be of like minds. Throughout the wall-shattering guffaws and cane whacking and aromatic rumbling he stood steadfast behind him, barely unperturbed even with the scholastic news that he himself also found surprising. Wouldnt those young ones graduating this term need it in looking for work? Perhaps this was part of his Lordship's master plan?

As he heard the Loud One make the motion to leave he shifted his position and nodded his head in deference. As much of a favorable vantage point the dias was, being seen and heard by everyone in the room just wasnt his preferred MO. He wanted to get off the dias and return to being incognito amongst the crowd. Its just easier to get away with things that way.

Lord Borr waved his cane around his head and kicked his stubby legs wildly. "OY. OY SHUT UP WHILE I'M SPEAKING. I want to introduce you to someone you SHOULD know, but probably don't." Lord Borr then used his cane to corral young Mr. D'Isigny to the front of the dais. "This is Charles D'Isigny. Give him a round of applause for his hard work and time spent bettering this Ministry. It's a damn shame we have to lose him but he has business to attend to abroad. So show your respects!"

Lord Borr clapped the LOUDEST.

"HO HO HO!" Lord Borr CHUCKLED and LAUGHED. "Armen! I know this is a party but please stop flirting with my Assistant." HAHA. Lord Borr SMACKED Armen with his cane from afar and LAUGHED until he choked up a big green glob of phlegm.

Armen turned again from his conversation with the attractive woman who just happened to be Borr assistant as he was smacked hard on the back with man's cane. He whinced slighlty leaning forward and holding in the yelp he certainly wanted to fire at the man. But he was NOT going to do that, he would probably be fired for one thing. And he had been blackmailed and made it too high in the Cult to be knocked back down!

"Of course you're Lordship. You definately have a knack for picking eye-catchin assistants though." he said with a wink at Christelle. He then clapped as the annoucement of D'Isigny's soon time abroad. What he was doing was unknown to Armen but he made a mental note to find out. The 'gift' of no exams to the students really didn't phase the Transportation Head because it really didn't effect him very much, now for the people in the Education Department who had all just lost their jobs that was a different story; yet still not him.

After all the final speeches and annoucements the giant man had heaved himself for the chair and suprisingly it was still in one piece. Armen hadn't noticed the chair had a nice red color to it while His Lordship had been sitting covering ever inch in it. They were leaving?! The party was practically over.

Armen looked out at the crowd of people and wanted to stand on the dias longer.

"We'll see," said Christelle politely. She didn't have much time for conversation as Lord Borr had begun to speak. Immediately, Rochebarron turned her attention towards the corpulent man.

Nodding to Christelle and trying his hardest not to imagine what was in the hankercheif Borr had given her. Armen nodded at his new Ministry co-worker and waved good-bye. "Of course, Lord Borr is an important man and he needs you. Good luck and it was great meeting you too Christelle." and with that he turned and walked back over to Erica and Rafa, knowing that he was going o be making some trips to Miss Rochebarron's desk soon.
