"I've seen Fantastic Beasts!" Reaction Thread We've had THREE Fantastic Beasts movies unleashed to the Muggle world so far!... or No-Maj world... yeah, you know what I mean! Did you LOVE them or did you LOATHE them? Drop in and discuss below! Discussion topic originally posted by: Steelsheen |
I loved the first one. Charming, fun, and full of magic. The second one was a mess. The third one was OK, step forward from the previous. Too bad they canceled the series and we will never have an ending. |
I'm rather fond of the movies. I was pretty enthusiastic about all three and I've enjoyed each of them! It makes me sad that the hype for them seems to be dying {generally speaking} but I really adore watching Newt and his friends being brought to life :3 |
im a big Harry Potter fan so i will like them regardless!! JOHNNY DEPP FOR GRINDLEWALD!!!!!! |

I'm just here again to give some appreciation to the VFX team. I mean, it was all very... well... fantastic! I think that the VFX Supervisor, Christian Manz, and his team were rather dedicated to their task :3 |
I've just been rewatching these and they're much better now that i can google the plot and also see subtitles. Haha. I really enjoyed most of the new characters, like Jacob and Queenie and Tina. One character I never liked was Credence/Aurelius, who was overhyped in the plot of all three movies, and honestly just a terrible actor and kind of a terrible person as well. Nagini and probably all of Grindelwald's cronies were more likeable than him. Ironically, I think the best actor for Grindelwald... would have just been Colin Farrell. They under-utilized him by having him play a polyjuiced face. Also under-utilized... Zoe Kravitz as Leta Lestrange. I thought for sure her character arc was going to span three movies at least, even though the Lestrange part of the plot was just one extended red herring. I'm disappointed we may never see the big battle between Grindelwald and Dumbledore, since they're not making more of these.... I love Jude Law as my man APWBD. And Newt. Eddie Redmayne as Newt is just adorable. He's a perfectly awkward, yet strangely adept, adorable Hufflepuff. He has so many more stories to tell about all his fantastic creatures!!! Wish we could see those instead of a TV show reboot.... |
I liked them. Felt like they spent a bit too much time on Jacob/Queenie when they could have used that for other things, but whatever. |
