Benjy looked over at his wife when she started to answer and broke out into a huge grin. It sounded like a pretty good day and she even wanted pizza for dinner! "I'll go call the pizza guy." He said, starting to get up. "What do we wa--it? Did you say you went to the doctor?" Suddenly, Benjy's face somewhat fell as he realized what she had actually said.

"Are you okay? You didn't get hurt at work, did you?" He asked, starting to get a bit worried as he turned to his wife, putting his hand by her cheek. "You could've called me... I would've come with you if you wanted." He said gently, searching her face for any sign of something wrong, though all he could see was a very happy wife. So what really had happened at the doctor?

Sky smiled pizza sounded good and it also meant she didn't have to cook and that meant no clean up... One of the worst parts of cooking! Oh so he did notice she was careful not to show another smirk, it would just give it away. She got her serious look on and started to walk around the kitchen though that was just for fun.

She turned towards him and said "No nothing like that. I just went in for a checkup and well I found out some news..." She grabbed his hands and said "Its good news I think but I guess in a way it could be interpreted as bad news by others." Like her sister who would just be being dramatic but whatever she was crazy!

She turned around and grabbed the present from the chair, "I went out and got you something after I left the doctors office." She handed the present to him and waited.

Benjy was worried about his wife. There was just no telling what had happened or why she had gone to the doctors. Her walking around didn't help his nerves. He had gotten bad doctor news in the past with Elizabeth having complications, and as her almost sister, it terrified him. So when Sky ended up telling him that it wasn't like that, Benjy breathed a huge sigh of relief.

It was news... But it could be good news or bad news??

Benjy was puzzled, but gave his wife a smile as he squeezed her hands gently. If she thought it was good news, then he would too. Oh... and there was a present involved. Letting go of his wife's hands long enough to open the gift, he looked at her and smiled before he looked down at the gift.

Cue jaw drop. The tall redhead stood, staring at the t-shirt in disbelief. How had he not even thought about this as a reason for a doctors visit? He was gonna be a father! He was gonna have a kid of his own! His beautiful wife was PREGNANT!!

"Yoou... Mmme...We're gonna have a baby!" He finally exclamed, pulling his wife into a hug and kissing her, his face in what seemed to be a permanent grin. While still hugging her, he started laughing and crying at the same time. "I can't believe it, Sky honey. We're gonna be parents!"

Sky waited she didn't know if she could keep the secret any longer she just wanted to tell him. He was opening it! She put her hands up and smiled at his reaction. It was all she could do. She chuckled and "Yes!! We are!!!! A baby... Crazy" She held onto him and smiled.

She was happy he knew. As he said it the realization hit, she was going to be a mom. "I'm going to be a mom."
and looking up at him she added "And you're going to be a dad." It was crazy. She couldn't believe it. She stood up on her tip toes and kissed him then returned to hugging him.

"The doctor said come back in like eighteen weeks for an ultrasound he said its a possibility we could learn if its a boy or girl if we want to. She was still debating on if she wanted to know or have it just be a surprise she would have to find out what Benjy thought of it too.

Benjy was so proud. He was going to be a parent, a dad to an innocent little child. He was going to be the protector, the caretaker, the daddy....which meant that he probably was going to be the main source of income for the family for a little while. Yeesh...a baby was a lot more work than anticipated. But he wasn't worried about that now.

"I know, hun... yes... yes" He replied, ecstatic. They were going to be parents! And she was saying more... about their baby! Wait..... he had to wait 18 weeks? But he wanted to know now, so he could get ready...

"Yes! I want to see our baby and find out whether we're gonna have a boy or girl!" He said, a little over excited, as he hugged her and kissed her. "Unless you want it to be a surprise, of course." He hadn't really thought of that... until after he had said yes to knowing. Either way could be pretty fun. As could other things... like a baby shower! Or preparing a room for the baby! Or..or... Baby names! "What about names? Is it too early to start thinking about names?"

Sky gazed at her husband he looked so happy and just so excited. She held onto his hands. She was happy that he was happy. She couldn't imagine a happier day. She was also surprised she didn't tell him when she saw him at work after she returned from the doctors.

"Good!" Surprise?? She didn't know what she wanted, "I do but I don't due to the fact that I want to get ready for when he/she gets here." Still eighteen weeks gave them plenty of time to decide what they wanted to do.

Baby Names... "It is never to early, my sister didn't know for ten days after her baby was born and the baby had to be called thing until she finally named it... Ours will not be called thing it shall have a name before its due date.. Hopefully we wont be like those average parents and fight over the name." And if they did fight... Sky would most likely win.

Sky's comment about wanting to know was shared with Benjy. He wanted a surprise but also wanted to know so that he could get ready. After all, the birth would be exciting enough. "Let's find out then... at 18 weeks." He said, bringing her over to the couch so they could sit and talk more.

"We are definitely not calling our baby thing..." Benjy said with a smirk. Why Sky's sister didn't even have a temporary name would never be a question he would ask. "What about Caleb... for a boy? Or Tobias?" He liked those names... Maybe Sky would too.

Sky let herself be led over to the couch, "Sounds wonderful." she sat down on the couch.

She chuckled, "No thing, no it, no any weird names!" She had never really wanted to know why her sister never planned the baby name but it was her very first and she was young. "So before I met you my stepmother told me that I am more likly to have twins than other women... How would you feel if this," she pointed at her stomach, "were twins?" A very good question indeed.

Benjy sat down next to his wife, moving one of her strand of hair out from her face. He stayed smiling at her until she mentioned the likelihood of twins. For a moment, his expression faltered. What would he do if the baby was in fact two? Twins could be a handful. Two babies to have to take care of at the same time. Two toddlers running rampant around the house. Two kids in school at the same time. Twins would definitely be a lot of work, especially if Sky were the only one at home with them while Benjy went to work.

But instead of worrying his wife with his concerns, he regained his smile. "If we had twins, I'd love them twice as much." He said, kissing his wife. "But what would we call them?" He asked with a wink.

Sky smiled and took note of the faltered expression but made no note of it. She had gotten freaked out too when her stepmother told her.. Then again she was like seventeen... Scared her silly. A lot of worries came with twins.

"Twice the love. Twice the hugs. Twice the trouble." she chuckled. Names. "Well if it was boys Caleb or Tobias. Girls I was thinking Katie or maybe Rachel." Mostly Katie because that was her mums name.

Twice the trouble was right. Even with a strong ravenclaw side of the family, Benjy was a slytherin in the end. There would be a good possibility that one or more of his children could also be from the snake house. Twin boys, almost definitely would be trouble at some point. But Benjy couldn't exactly see how girls would be too much trouble until maybe their teens.

"Katie is my aunt's name..." Benjy said offhandedly, upon hearing the name. Rachel would be alright too, he supposed. "What about Beatrice? We could call her Bea... or Tris..." He said, chuckling a bit. "Or what about Margo?... or maybe Margo could be a middle name.." Benjy said, his arm around his wife, content to just list off names.

Sky smiled as she saw him thinking. Such a cutie. Katie is my aunt's name... Cool. She guessd, "Katie is....was my mum's name." She looked up it was hard thinking of her mum she usually just cried when she did think of her. "Beatrice? Eh....Maybe. Margo!? What well deffinetaly not a first name.. Maybe a middle name."

She laughed, Margo what kind of name was that. She thought for a second, saying it outloud, "Margo Doherty. Margo. You know I kinda like it...Wait I love it!" She giggled curling up on the couch next to him. "Margo... Easy to yell too. MARGO!!" She gave another giggle, and added "See!?"

Benjy hated to see his wife upset, even if it was something as simple as remembering a name. So when he saw Sky struggle with saying that her mum was Katie, the redhead kissed her, gently so that she knew that he cared but also didn't want her to linger on such an upsetting subject.

He did smile though at her response to Margo. First she didn't like it and then she was giggling and laughing about it. He grinned and laughed along with her but inside, his mind was racing. Was this what it would be like the whole pregnancy? Or was this still something having to do with the love potion she had volunteered to test way back when? Either way, he was happy that she liked it. "So then if it's a girl, we'll do either Margo Katie or Katie Margo... and if they are twins... we're gonna need another name." He said, pulling her closer to him. Margo was actually pretty easy to say...

Sky wrapped her arms around him, thankful that he was there. Sometimes thinking of her mother she just wanted to lay down and let it go. She put her head into him it was good to know that he was there. It was going to be tough. The Nightingale woman have tough pregnancies, her mother, her step-mother, and her sisters. All touch and they got moody. He would have to get some tips from his father-in-law and his brother-in-laws.

"If they are twins then we could just do Margo and Katie. Instead and just think of middle names." Though she hoped for now it was just one child. "If its just one girl though I think Katie Margo Doherty, works perfectly."

Occ: It had been about eighteen weeks since the couple found out and now they are learning if it is a boy, girl, twins, triplets, quadruplets, etc.

Sky had grown some since she first out, and overall she was not liking it. She had to buy the stupid maternity clothes because her pants no longer fit. She was just going to wear dresses or skirts. But then it got cold so now she was in the pants. The telling of the family went great, there were tears and congratulations, of course. And her sister had already started on the baby shower and as soon as they found out if it was a boy or a girl the date would be set for it.

She paced around the room, nervous. A rare sight for anybody to see, Sky barley ever got nervous. But if today was a day to get nervous, it was one of those days. As far as Sky could remember there was only one other day where she got the butterflies, and that was her wedding day, but that was just Wedding Day jitters. This was different. She looked over at Benjy, "Is she/he here yet?" she asked as she continued to pace.

Benjy was so proud of his wife dealing with the craziness of the first part of pregnancy. They had told their families and had survived the eager replies by Sky's sister and Benjy's aunt. Sky had even survived maternity shopping. Now they just had to stick it out a littlelong while longer before they'd be able to meet their baby for the first time.

But today was special...today was going to be the first ultrasound to find out how many and whether it would be a boy or a girl. So the redhead sat on the couch watching his wife pace around the room. He smiled slightly, trying to get his wife to relax. Benjy reached his arms out to pull his wife back to a seat so she could stop worrying. "Soon, honey.... come sit down, please.." He said, calmly, looking at the clock. "They'll be here at 2:30, it's only 2:26." The hit wizard said laughing slightly. They were going to be fine... first time parents were just always nervous.

Sky paced again, nervous, she wanted to find out already. Hearing her husband call for her she looked over at him. He was right, "Okay, 2:30. Its now 2:28. They aren't coming, its not happening lets go find something else to do." Glancing at the clock, 2:29 okay maybe she was just being crazy, "Fine I will sit down." she sat down laying into him. Who knew she would be so nervous about a doctors appointment.

"What about now, are they here yet?"

Benjy rubbed his wife's knee once she sat down next to him. He knew she was nervous so he would be her rock. That's kinda how they worked since both of them could be strong for the other. "She'll be here any minute... It'll be ok, hun." He said, softly, reassuring her. It would be fine... he just knew it.

It was exactly 2:30 when Jennifer stepped up to the door of the Doherty loft and gave a small knock. She had been a bit delayed due to an urgent call at the wing she worked at on certain days of the week. This day had just happened to be one of those days, but now she was here to do a quick checkup on Sky, Benjy's wife, and to do an ultrasound so the two could meet their new addition. For now though, she stood outside the door, readjusting her shoulder bag that kept sliding down her shoulder.

At precisely 2:30, Benjy heard a knock followed by the pitter-patter of Lulu's paws across the floor as the puppy ran to the door to see who it was. The redhead gave his wife's knee a gentle squeeze. "She's here." he said as he pushed himself up off the couch before turning and offering his wife a hand up so that they could go answer the door together. Benjy had seen Jen since the wedding but didn't know if Sky had seen her since. Either way, he figured it would be best if they both went to answer the door.

Sky had been counting the seconds until 2:30, it was her husband's voice that stopped her in her counting, "Okay." she responded. It would be okay, she didn't understand why she was so nervous. Sixty. It was 2:30, just before Sky could say anything though there was a knock at the door. Dang. She was here.

Lulu seemed to love this as she raced to the door. "Finally. It seemed like forever!" She of course was being overly dramatic, like always. She stood up and dragged herself over to the door. Well it was time, she forgot the woman's name though. She would just let Benjy say it she would just say hello. And maybe she would get away with it... She opened the door and smiled at the woman, "Hello, its good to see you again." She said as she ushered her through the door.

Jen smiled as Sky opened the door with Benjy by her side. "Good to see you as well." She said, entering the house as she was ushered through. She proceeded to follow Benjy into the main area of the house. "Now, let's check out this little baby..." She said, setting up for the ultrasound.

ooc. a couple months have passed since the ultrasound and the due date is approaching as it is late fall. Benjy has suggested that his wife, Sky, take the next little while off so that they can prepare for the baby.

Walking through the entryway to the loft, the redheaded hit wizard took off his coat and bent down to greet Lulu who had come to say hi. "Sky! Honey! I'm home from work." He called out, hoping his wife was around to hear. He went over to the living room area of the loft and sat in his favorite spot on the couch, pulling out his wand to flip the tv on to watch a bit of the international quidditch match going on. These matches always brought him back to the days when he played for Luxembourg as reserve chaser. The wind through his hair... the smack of the bludgers against the beater bats... the cheer of the crowd when one team scored. Benjy started to doze on the couch as he thought back to his past, dreaming that he was back on the pitch.

Sky could be found sitting on the floor of the kitchen with ice cream and pickles. Her stupid sister got her to try it and now she loved them. And the baby loved them too. After eating another pickle she heard the familiar sound of Benjy coming up the stoop, and the jingle of the keys. She shoved the ice cream in the freezer, and the pickles in the fridge. Just in time for Benjy to enter the house.

She let her giggles fade in as she walked out of the kitchen. Being at home, boring! But she wasn't going to tell Benjy that. "Benjy!! Home so soon!?" She asked as she walked into the living room. Ah Qudditch. She should prank him. She didn't let the smile appear on her face from that idea though. Ahh look he was asleep. She needed a nap anyways. Taking a blanket she put it over him and layed her head on his chest. Yeap nap time, unless he woke up cause she had been in the house all alone well Lulu was hear but did that really count?

Sky had started to fall asleep when she heard Benjy's voice, figured. "Hi sweets. Good, tired but good and you? How was work?" Work... She missed it. It was boring being at home! She needed something to do. She yawned before rolling over so she could actually see her husbands face.

"I don't think its going to kick for you. It probably used them all up earlier this morning." It was the worst. She put her hand on top of his and smiled. What did she do today. Get lectured by millions of people!!! "My mother and sister came over today." Highlight of the day.. "I got lectured of course, you know them." She yawned before continuing, "This time it was about my job." That's what it was mostly about anyway, but there were those rare occasions where they came just o see how she was doing.

Sky had woken up a bit since she had been talking to Benjy, "Fun. Really? I remember helping clean up the place, before I took leave." She remembered the Telephone booth incident, being trapped. Horrid experience, especially with the farting guy. "Paperwork, oh how I love it." She chuckled and flashed her husband a grin.

She was happy that the baby was not kicking it had been non stop for a while now. The doctor said that was good, and Sky was just annoyed. "Yes we need to move before they come back." She chuckled, "Just that both of us work such dangerous jobs what if something happened. And I have to admit there getting to me." She sat up feeling if she continued laying on him she would fully fall into slumber, but still curled up next to him. "My sister thinks that I should put in one of those applications to get a new job but still work in the Ministry, what do you think?" Looking at his face she asked, "Whats the matter? You look as if you are hiding something?" she eyed him... What was up?
