James smirked. Leave it to his darling daughter to ask for a new racing broom... "Perhaps your birthday," he said after a moment. "Or maybe Christmas. I don't know, you better sweep all the others to the floor with it. Promise me that, angel, and I may buy it for you." |
"I promise daddy," she smiled sweetly. "I'll make sure Ravenclaw wins the the house cup," she added. She was slightly amused she was a Ravenclaw. She did have the smarts though. And she was in the same house as Harry's annoying girlfriend. |
"Well, then, doll, check for a broom in your stocking this Christmas," James replied with a smile. Ellie was so adorable... He'd probably have to get the same broom for Harry, just to be fair. After all, if the siblings went head-to-head in a Quidditch game, might as well pit them against like odds. |
Ellie laughed, "Okay daddy," she grinned. She knew all of the way to get to her parents. Maybe she should have been a Slytherin the way she was so evilly brilliant and all. |
Remus finally got into his vault and grabbed some money. He rode the death-trap back to the lobby of Gringotts and saw a stag patronus approach him and heard yells of protests around him. "Sorry." He muttered to the goblins and willed the patronus out the door. It evaporated. Oh well, he knew that he was late to meet up with the others...man...everything was off with him today. He walked into the place to meet and found them. "Sorry, had to make a stop to Gringotts." Remus said quietly to everyone and sat down. Ginny looked at the family sitting in the building. They all looked happy and so full of life. She smiled and looked down at her hands. |
"It's alright," James said with a smile, motioning one of his best friends to an empty seat. "We're still waiting on others to order. Did I miss anything interesting, my friend?" |
"Nothing really. Just almost seeing my breakfast again from this morning...I hate those stupid carts they use." Remus shook his head to get the experience out of his mind. |
"Hello Lupin," Ellie waved cheerfully. She looked over at Ginny. "Up for a prank pulling year at Hogwarts with me Gin?" she asked. "I want to have a little fun fooling around with the first years. Maybe use some of your brothers jokes." She was already thinking with that mind of hers. |
Lupin nodded toward Ellie and grinned. Ginny smiled. She couldn't help it. Sure Fred and George were the big pranksters, but Ellie and her were the new generation of pranksters. "You bet Ellie." She nodded. |
"Yes!" Ellie exclaimed, pulling her arm back in a sense of expression. "So..." then she started going on and on to Ginny about things she had in mind like yelling FIRE in a hallway or throwing water balloons redesigned by Fred and George at snogging couples below the Astronomy Tower. Even telling First years if they blew up the feather they had to try and make float in Charms, they would be expelled. Ahhh... this would be great. |
Ginny nodded and laughed. "This is going to be excellent." |
occ: Is it all right if I skip to the next morning with Cho? :) on the next post maybe if u guys agree. :) Cho spent the evening shopping with her mother. As soon as she got home she ate dinner and went upstairs to write a short note to Harry. Dear Harry, I loved this afternoon, despite the meeting with your best friend. I was wondering. . . how about we meet on Saturday? What are you doing then? yours, Cho She finished it up, sealed it and tied it to her owl's leg. "It's for Harry, Sky!" She whispered and opened the window for her owl. She laid down on her bed, thinking about all the letters they had shared. Sometimes they had written into the night, those were the best times. She closed her eyes and pictured Harry asking her out. 'What was wrong with Harry today, she didn't care, but hopefully he'd be better tomorrow.' She figured. |
Ellie looked back and forth from her parents after dinner at the wherever they ate. "Could we go home now?" she moaned. "I want to start packing for Hogwarts in the morning." |
James smiled and patted his daughter's head. "Sure thing, pumpkin," he said, smiling. As his face wrinkled, the laugh lines apparent in his skin, he sighed; he was starting to feel his age, for sure... Nonetheless, he smiled over at Lily, then Harry, adoring his wonderful family. He had been blessed with a good life. He didn't know why he was feeling so nostalgic without warning. It probably had something to do with Harry's fifteenth birthday. Dang... he was getting old... "How does that sound, everyone?" James glanced over to Ginny and Hermione. "We should get you two back to your parents..." Flames of emerald danced in the Malfoy Manor's main fireplace, and Draco stepped out, glancing about just in case anyone was going to jump at him. In this place, he always felt as if that was a possibility. It was just too... creepy. When he was sure that wasn't going to happen, he began the long trek to his room, sourly wishing for his seventeenth birthday to come so he could apparate legally. Just as he was rounding the corner to his room... "Draco Nigellus Malfoy!" Darn. "Where have you been!? You knew we were going to visit your father in Azkaban today! That takes a lot of planning, young man, and a grant from the Minister himself! And I had to go, the one time a year I would go, without my son, and my poor husband didn't get to see his son a year older, for the third time in a row!" "Yes, Mum," Draco muttered to himself with a forlorn sigh. "I knew you planned to visit Father. And you knew that I planned to visit Harry. Today was his birthday, after all. I can't let that pass up." "You know how I feel about you being friends with that... halfblood. And you can see him every day of the schoolyear! He sleeps right beside you, for Merlin's sake. You share a dormitory! But no, your Father is in Azkaban, suffering so that we do not, and the least you could do is visit him. Write him a letter. And you don't. You don't even follow by his morals! You, Draco, are no Malfoy in his eyes. And sometimes... You're no Malfoy in my eyes, either. Despite how much you look like your father." "I'll be twice the man he's ever been," Draco hissed, sprinting past his mother and into his room. With a sigh, the blonde flopped down onto his expanse of a bed and buried his head in the pillows, not bothering to dress for bed or get under the blankets. Just another average day as Draco Malfoy... |
Neville rubbed his eyes rather vigorously. It'd been a long day of homework. That's what you get for procrastinating. "Nev! His mother Alice called from downstairs. "The Potter's are in Diagon Alley, pop over and say Hi, and give Harry our present." Neville chuckled. "Mom, you know you aren't supposed to use your auror contacts to spy on the innocent!" he shouted back. "Ha. Ha. The Potter's are our friends... and so its allowed. I don't know how long they'll be there, so fet your butt down here and in the fireplace." Neville obeyed, and shouted "Diagon Alley!" As a gift was thrust into his hands and he was thrust into the fireplace. After a dizzying trip, he answered Tom's grin with one of his own, as he clamored out of The Leaky's fireplace. Now, to find the Potters. OOC: Sorry I'm late, guys! Forgot to sub the thread, haha. *facepalm* |
"Well, then," James said, looking about the group. "Are we going to be heading back or not?" |
Lily nodded to James. "We better get going if Harry and Ellie wants to pack for school." She said, smiling at her daughter and son. "Okay. Bye Mr and Mrs. Potter. Bye Ginny, bye Ellie." Hermione said, waving to everyone as she walked out the door, looking for her parents to go home. She gave a curt nod to Harry, and left. |
"Bye Ell. See you on the train!" Ginny said then gave her best friend a hug. She walked off to find her parents and brothers. Where in the name of Merlin did they go? she wondered as she walked down the alley. Remus saw the girls leave and looked at James and Lily. "You know where I'll be, see you two later." He said then bent down to Ellie. "See you at school Ellie." He smiled and gave her a hug. She loved this girl to no end. He got up and walked out to the alley. He apparated out and to his house. |
occ: so are we skipping to the train then??? I'm lost. . . Cho made sure her bags were all packed for tomorrow. She slipped into bed, and closed her eyes, falling into a quick deep sleep. She dreamt of Harry and Draco, and this other boy in school that she sort of liked, though they didn't talk much, they were bith in the 6th year, and his name was Cedric, Cedric Diggory. |
"Bye everyone," Ellie smiled, as she gave hugs to people. She gave one last final wave and started walking off with her mother. She was...not packed. She had been putting it off. |
OOC: After we go home, then we'll skip ahead to the train, which is the day after this, anyway. "Come on," James said, offering his arm to Ellie to take. "We'll side apparate back, and Harry can go with your mother. Then you can't put packing off any longer, little missy. You too, Harry." |
Ellie took hold of her father's hand and smirked up at him. "I know really," she stated. "See you at home mum and Harry," she winked at them. "All ready when you are dad." |
"Good..." James said with a smile, making sure Ellie was holding tight enough. He didn't want her to be shed in the process... "Hold on!" Letting the familiar feeling envelop his stomach. With a crack, they were back in the Potter house living room. After a moment, he squeezed his daughter's hand, turning to her. "You okay, Ells?" |
Ellie blinked a few times to clear her fuzzy head. "Yep, alright dad. I gotta go pack or mum will kill me." She slowly walked up the stairs with the heavy bags on her arms. Once inside her room, she shut the door and went to pulling her trunk out from under her bed. It was decked out in flashing stickers. In it's side was carved EP for Ellie Potter and then Ravenclaw was on the other side. She had carved it their last year with her wand. She started throwing stuff into it. Then got preoccupied by a book and laid on her bed to read. |
Lily took hold of Harry's hand tightly, saying "Hold on tight Harry." Seconds later, they were standing in the Potter living room with James. Lily let go of Harry's arm and told him to go pack his school stuff. |
James smiled as his wife appeared and slid to her side to wrap an arm around her waist lovingly. "Took you two long enough," he teased, eying his son. "Go on, Harry, you have to pack, also. And Happy Birthday!" |
OOC: Come on, guys! We can't let this die. "Get going, Harry," James said with a nudge, "or else you'll never get all that packing done. Merlin knows how much you have to do still... You did finish your summer work, right?" *** Draco slowly drifted off to sleep, a gentle snore coming alive from his mouth. A snore that was much more gentle than anyone would have expected from the Malfoy heir. On his desk, not yet packed into his trunk, sat the pile of books and parchment that was his finished summer homework. He had finished it early on, and used it as an excuse for every occasion, including his own birthday... When he had been forced to spend it with a room full of Malfoy business associates who were all gray in the hair and about ten times his age. |
Days passed quickly and things were great having his family right by his side, it was all he ever wanted. Before he knew it he woke up and it was the day he was to leave for Hogwarts. He was having so much fun the past week or so he completely forgot to pack. He heard his father tell him to hurry up with the packing and opened just about all his drawers before he finally he found his robes but something seemed a bit off. He looked in horror seeing that they were all green. He was a Slytherin now, it certainly explained being freinds with Malfoy and why Ron would hate him but he thought, mabe I could change that, I don't want Ron to hate me forever regardless, I'll have to prove to him I am a good Slytherin and I will. He quickly packed his robes in his bag and put the new couldron and potions supply kit and set of new books on his dresser. He quickly packed everything in his trunk along with his homework which was all done but with the ability to do some magic at home that was no suprise. He quickly headed down stairs dragging his trunk behind him and exclaimed, "I'm ready". |
Lily smiled as her son walked down the stairs, dragging his trunk along. "Tsk tsk. Harry , try and flatten your hair please." She said as she scurried around the room looking for a hairbrush. Once she found one, she hurried to Harry and began to brush his hair roughly, pulling harder each time he winced. Lily put down the brush and faced him. "I guess this will have to do." She said, brushing his hair out of his eyes. "Ill miss you honey." She said softly as she hugged him tightly. |

"And don't forget me, Harry," James reminded, smirking as he watched his doppelgangar hug Lily. "Have you seen your sister? She should be up by now... In fact, she's running awful late..." |
"Ill go get her." Lily said as she let go of Harry and began straightening his hair automatically. She turned on her heels and walked upstairs. Lily opened the door slowly and watched as her daughter slept soundlessly. Walking in, she closed the door behind her and began to shake Ellie awake. |
Ellie opened her eyes frowning. "Mum, do you think that shaking me is really neccesary?" she glared. She was not a morning person. "I'll get my stuff but please don't ever wake me up like that again." She pushed her mother out of her room, dressed and lugged her trunk downstairs. "I'm not hungry. Saving that for the train," she muttered. |
"We'd better go if we dont want to miss the train." Lily said as Ellie appeared from upstairs. "Get their stuff." She said to James as she she motioned towards Harry's and Ellie's trunks. "C'mon c'mon, lets go." Lily said, holding out floo powder to everyone. "I suppose Ill go with Ellie, and Harry will go alone, while James takes the trunks with him." |
James nodded and grabbed the children's trunks, reporting back to the fireplace with a pice of toast stuffed in his mouth from breakfast long past and luggage in each hand. He waited for the others to go, while chewing the bit of bread he had in his mouth. |
Remus Lupin went to the platform 9 and 3/4 to see Harry and Ellie off. He'd apparate to the limits when the train left. He was already on the other side and looked around for the Potters, but it seemed they hadn't shown up yet. Ginny was of course running late with her family. This was like a tradition or something with them. No matter how early they packed or how early they got up, they always seemed to be running late. She tossed her trunk in the back of the car and sat upon it waiting for her family. "Hurry up!" She yelled at Fred and George. |
Ellie slumped lazily over to her father, waiting for her mother. "Dad who's Harry going with? He can't apparate alo---," she stated. Then she saw her father by the fireplace. "How are we suppose to get to 9 3/4 that way?" |
Neville's mother was still a bit peeved at him for missing the Potters in Diagon Alley, so it was alone that he went to Kings Cross, toad in cage, trunk on trolley, and robes stuffed in his pocket. He would see everyone on the platform. He looked up at the brick collumn. This part always made him nervous. So he ran and ran and ran... and kept running, ending up on the other side. There werent many people there yet, so he parked his carousel and sat nnear it, waiting for farmiliar faces to arrive. |
Finally all the Weasley's got into the car and they were off! "We're so late..." Ginny said looking at her watch. It took 30 minutes to get there and there was 20 minutes until the train pulled out. Almost as soon as she said it, her father pulled a lever and pushed a button and they were flying! ...and invisible!!! "ARTHUR!!!" she heard her mother shout. "Oh boy..." Ginny muttered. |

"'Orse uh 'abit," James murmured through a toast-filled mouth. After a swallow, he added, "Harry can apparate alongside your mother, since we're the first two. Come on, pet." Draco sighed as he climbed out of bed, glancing at the bags that the house elves must have packed while he was sleeping. He didn't bother to check them... Much more trouble than it was worth. He could call Dobby, his personal house elf, to get him something if he really needed it. It might be against school rules, but he was a Slytherin... And what did rules really matter to a snake? "Mother," he called out as he wandered through the corridors. He didn't much believe that she heard him, but if she really wanted to see him off, she'd have been here by now. He barely had half an hour left before the Hogwarts Express pulled out of Platform 9 3/4. Sighing, he called Dobby to apparate him and his luggage (and eagle owl, Columba) to the station. Upon arriving, he muttered a goodbye to the house elf - seeing as he was the only one he had to say goodbye to - and looked around for some of his housemates. Pansy, Blaise, Harry... |
"Pet?" she muttered, looking up at her father. "Why pet?" Ellie shook her head and walked over to her trunk. "So are we leaving?" she asked, taking hold of the handle and waiting for her father. |
"We are," James said with a smile, looking back to Lily and Harry. "The slowpokes can catch up when they want to." Then, he offered his arm to Ellie and waited to apparate. |
Ellie grabbed onto his arm and closed her eyes tight. She took an intake of breath and waited for her dad to apparate. Apparating was awful once again. |
With a crack, James pulled both himself and Ellie into disapparation and apparation on Platform 9 3/4. The station was already busy with hundreds of students and their parents, and James found himself looking around for the Longbottoms, who had always been good family friends. |
"Have you seen Ginny any where dad?" the short brunette asked, craning her neck around to see if she could find the ginger. |
"I can't see her," James said, looking around for a cluster of red hair that would mean the Weasleys. "Molly and Arthur might be running late... It seems like they are." |
Ellie sighed but decided her dad was probably right about that. "Hey dad? Do these shoes go okay with this skirt?" she asked curiously, but in slight worry. She wanted to look good. This was her year to impress. |
James paused. He didn't know... He was a guy. "Sure, honey," he replied, "they look fine." Default answer. |
"Thank you daddy," she smiled and turned the other way in a bounce, anxious to find Ginny. She wanted to leave. now. |
The Weasley's were half-way there when George mentioned that he left his stinkbombs. "Oh forget them George, you'll come across some more at Hogwarts." Ginny spat. She didn't think they were going to make it and it was stressing her out. "Are we going to make it?" she asked her parents. They didn't say anything, but her dad pushed a button and they went invisible. "ARTHUR!!!" Ginny heard her mother yell. They flew to Kings Cross and landed in the back where nobody would see them. Ginny ran out and grabbed her stuff. She ran to the platform without her family. She turned and waved but didn't know if they could see. She just wanted to get on the platform. Before she knew it, she was on the other side and could see the Hogwarts Express. Remus looked around and saw Ellie wandering around. "The Potters are here...." He muttered to himself. |
"There they are," James said to Ellie. "I see the Weasleys. Oh, and there's Remus, also." He waved towards his friend, smiling slightly as a few shorter families staring up at him. He wasn't that but taller, but... |
"Ginny!" Ellie cried, looking at the red head that just appeared by her. She ran up to the girl. "Hi Ginny, how are you?" she asked her. Then she spotted Lupin not far from her and waved to him with a smile. |
OOC: IT'S ALIVE! Eh, no, not really. But hopefully it will be soon. James watched Ellie go and sighed, looking around for Lily and Harry, who should have apparated by now, as well as any others he'd probably socialize with before the train left. Nothing so far... What were they waiting for...? |
Cho ran through the wall, already late as it was. "Bye mum, bye dad!" Cho ran towards the train. "Hey Mr. Potter, where's Harry?" She asked. |
James saw Cho and smiled slightly. She was a nice girl, though he had never gotten to know her too well. "Lily is supposed to be apparating in with him," he replied, "but it seems that they're taking longer than they should. Nevertheless, he should be here shortly." |
"Ok, Ill wait." Cho said. "Thnks!" occ: so what now? |
OOC: Sorry guys I've been trying to wait for Nymphadora_Moody but it seems I'll just have to do it. Harry took his mothers arm and the next seccond he felt like he was being squished through time, it was horribe but he successfully made it to Kings Cross Station and he shhok off the horrible feeling of post-apparation. He then ran through the wall between platforms 9 and 10 with his mother and saw his father with his bags and Cho. He quickly grabbed his bags and walked toward his girlfriend Cho who he felt to be so perfect and so glad she is his. He gave her a quick peck on the cheek. |
occ: Im sure she'd like to be called Sam :D that's ok, but we gotta try to geto ther ppl to come back, we gotta have abackbone to this  oh yea, and they were apparating. Cho watched as Hary came over and kissed her. "Hey, what took so long?" She asked, eyes twinkling. "Anyways, come on, the train is almost leaving!" She dragged her bags over to the train and waited. |
Quote:
Harry just gave Cho a look and said, "Alright, alright I'm coming", Harry said as he followed after her with his bags. When there turn finally arrived her he lifted his and her luggage into the baggage storage compartment and took Cho's hand led her onto the train and quickly found an empty compartment and led Cho in and took a seat with her. |
OOC: And I'm not much of a help, am I? Sorry.. I don't like being forceful. >_< James smiled slightly as his son ran off and waved. He didn't mind; he knew that, at that age, teenagers wanted nothing to do with their families. It worried him far less than he had been before, when Harry momentarily obsessed over his family. This was healthier... *** Draco grimaced as he turned to see Harry and Cho board the train together. So much for being best friends... He boarded the train alone, scowling as he passed Cho and Harry's compartment to get his own. Alone again. He was a solitary type of person, but this was a bit too much. He wanted his best friend back! |
