Calla was unaware he had awoken, although she didn't think it'd take long. Yes he couldn't hear her clanging around, but certainly he'd be able to smell it. Hearing his greeting she looked over her shoulder, "Well good morning sunshine."

Turning back to the food preparations she checked the eggs and flipped the bacon. "Breakfast will be ready any minute now. I hope you're hungry. Have a seat."

She couldn't help be enjoy the fact he was there. Companionship was nice, his companionship was really nice.

She grabbed two plates, and pilled bacon and eggs on them. Not like the night before when he was required to make his own plate. Pulling the toast out of toaster she placed one on each plate.

She turned and put each plate on the table, "Let me get the juice. " She ran to the fridge and poured each of them a glass. Putting his in front of him she stopped for a moment and ran her fingers through his hair, "Thank you for taking care of me last night."

Holmesian Feline 01-28-2010 09:02 PM

Gavin was a little curious when he could suddenly hear Calla and the food preparations making noise but he hadn't when he had woken up. Chalking it up to how awake he was growing, he just brushed it off.

"Alright," he said, the smell more clear now that he was closer to the action. "I am and it cetainly smells good," he added as he took a seat as instructed, leaning his arms lightly on the table in front of him. He couldn't help watching her as she moved to gather what she was making, making up plates for the both of them.

"Thank you," Gavin replied with a smile as his plate was placed in front of him, straightening up as she went to get the juice for them. Feeling her touch in his hair, his eyes closed just a little enjoying the feeling. "Well your certainly welcome," he said.

redifer 01-28-2010 09:25 PM

Sharing her morning with Gavin felt wonderful. She didn't want to ruin it by over thinking it. "You're very welcome." She beamed.

She made her way to the place she had set for herself. Calla picked up her fork and took a bite of the eggs. She thought about waking up and not remembering how she got there and she let out a giggle. "You know I was pretty confused this morning, I couldn't recall how it was I ended up in my bed."

Picking up the bacon she took a bit, it was good thick lean bacon. She couldn't help but let out an audible "mmm" as she chewed it.

"You know I've never slept on the couch, how was it?"

As she asked the last question she realized it was Saturday, she was set to visit mom for lunch in less than 3 hours. She hated to have to tell him she would have to go, but at the same time she thought he probably had things to do.

"I'm meeting my mother for lunch today, I nearly forgot about it." Because you're such a distraction, a good one but still a distraction.

She smirked. "I haven't seen her in nearly 2 weeks, according to her I don't love her or appreciate anything she's done for me." With that she rolled her eyes dramatically and laughed.

Holmesian Feline 01-28-2010 09:50 PM

Gavin started eating once Calla had sat down herself, not wanting to seem rude and not waiting for her since he was still a guest no matter how comfortable he felt here. "Well I figured you would be more comfortable there then leaning the way you were," he mused after swallowing, taking a small sip from his glass.

He smiled hearing her quiet sound of enjoyment of the food, giving a slight one armed shrug at her question. "It was alright," he answered, not to bothered by it. In truth he was used to it a lot when traveling, sometimes having moved fastered then he could make plans and staying with friends or acquaintances.

Gavin nodded in acknowledgement of her plans, knowing he would have to leave sometime not to overstay his welcome so he wasn't too bummed. He just knew the topic if her mother was a little strained. "I think all mothers are like that at one point or another," he said in an attempt to ease any tension, joining her laughter.

redifer 01-29-2010 03:19 PM

Nodding in agreement she smiled and swallowed her bite. “Yes, I felt safe knowing you were here.”

She honestly hated being alone, that was the whole reason she got a roommate. What good that was doing though, June was never home. In fact June hadn’t been home in weeks, but then again she definitely moved to the beat of her own drum – Calla had learned not to worry about her.

She thought about him sleeping on the couch, “You know if I had known June wasn’t going to be home you could have stayed in her room.” With that she popped the last bit of bacon in her mouth and got up to place her plate in the sink.

“Yes you’re probably right, mothers are given a talent of being able to guilt you into nearly everything.” She turned to face him and leaned back on the counter. “So what are your plans today?”

Holmesian Feline 01-29-2010 08:29 PM

"Glad to be of service," he replied with a smile in between bites of his own breakfast.

Gavin wouldn't have wanted her to be alone after the night they had even if she had said that she was fine. He would have only be in his own bed awake and worrying so it made no sense to be comfortable in body and miserable in mind.

"Its alright," he said brushing it off not wanting to have intruded on the young woman's private space. I wouldn't want to have her have to worry about a strange man that she's never even met being in her bed when she was away."

Finishing up the last bite of food on his plate, he took a sip of the juice to wash it down before answering. "A little bit of this and that," he answered, "Mostly just errands that I don't have time for during the week."

redifer 01-29-2010 08:56 PM

She laughed at the thought of June coming home to find Gavin in her bed, "Well, it would have been hilarious." She imagined June screaming, Gavin jumping up - the whole scene would have been comical to say the least.

Noticing he was done she walked back over to the table, "If you're still hungry I'll make you some more. If not I'll clear those dishes for you."

She wondered what kind of errands he had to do. She actually had some to do as well, but would be after the visit with mother. She needed to do some shopping in Diagon Alley too, but that would hold off until next week probably.

She almost wished he didn't have errands and she didn't have to visit her mother. She wasn't sure if she'd seem him again this weekend, but she knew for sure she'd see him at the office on Monday.

"Well, if you wanted you could take a shower before you leave." She wasn't sure if he was headed home first or straight out to take care of the errands. Either way she thought she'd offer.

Holmesian Feline 01-29-2010 09:13 PM

"Well maybe for you," Gavin remarked before echoing her laughter. It was humourous though he was certain he and June would have both had a moment at least of surprise and shock making it very interesting.

He had been getting up as Calla returned to the table and his side, bringing them rather close as he straightened, the dishes in question in his hands. "No...no I'm fine," he answered slightly hesitant at their closeness. Geez...you would think you've never held her he berated himself at his behavior.

Gavin shock his head slightly at her offer of a shower. "Nah, its alright," he said thankful for the offer but knowing it was probably for the best not to accept it. Talk of surprises made him think about what could happen between themselves. "I need to stop home anyway to change."

redifer 01-29-2010 09:35 PM

She could sense he was uneasy at their closeness. She looked to his eyes briefly, bit her lip, took the dishes and moved to the sink. She wasn't sure how to take that, was he not feeling what she did? She faced the sink as she hand washed the few dishes.

Of course she was probably over thinking it, but the more she thought about it the more it bothered her. Now that she was thinking about it he had never initiated a kiss. Maybe he wasn’t feeling as strongly as she did.

She didn’t remember telling him she loved him last night, and she certainly hadn’t heard him echo those words.

Calla reminded herself this was only their first official date, and they had only been dating for a week. Either way, she wasn’t going to bring it up now.

She finished up rinsing the dishes and dried them.

Turning back to him she forced a smile (trying hard to cover her insecurities). “Well, I suppose that makes more sense that taking a shower and then putting back on dirty clothes.” She giggled a bit.

Trying to take her mind off him and them she changed the subject. “I’ll try and contact June today by owl. I’ve got no clue what she’s been up to.”

Holmesian Feline 01-29-2010 10:50 PM

As his eyes met hers, Gavin wondered if he was imagining anything or if something was bothering her, watching the woman as she walked away. He could sense something had changed in the tone of the room and when Calla turned back with a semi-forced smile it was confirmed.

Had they crossed a line? Had he said or done something wrong? Was she disappointed? All questions that were threatening to flood his thoughts, his attention returned as his companion spoke again. "Yeah it would be a little silly," he replied in agreement chuckling on hopes to ease the tension.

He relaxed a little as Calla changed the subject, figuring it might be better to put whatever it was behind them rather then dwell especially if it created tension. "Alright," he said at mention of her roommate, not sure he knew why it would matter much to him unless last night was going to repeat. Not that he would mind that.

redifer 01-30-2010 09:58 PM

The tension in the room was awkward to say the least. She was thinking of anything to say, but nothing came to mind. She was second guessing herself yet again, wondering if she had set herself up for another heart ache. Of course it would be her fault, she's the one that got too emotionally attached too quickly.

She passed by him making her way to the living room, "I should finish getting things around. First I'm floo'ing to Romania and trying to convince Merritt to come with me." She wasn't trying to come off as cold, unfortunatly it probably came across that way.

She hadn't ever been in a serious relationship, and wasn't sure what she had done wrong to make him not want to touch or kiss her. Her pity party of self examiniation and worth continued to stew in her head.

After gathering a couple things into a bag she returned to the kitchen area. "Well, I'll be leaving in a couple minutes. I suppose I'll see you at the office on Monday?" She forced a cheery sound into her voice.

She walked to him, examining his face for a moment. “I’ll miss you.” She couldn’t stop herself from saying it. She would truly miss him, but more than that she was fishing. Fishing for some kind of reaction that would prove one way or another if he was feeling the same way or not.

Holmesian Feline 01-30-2010 10:14 PM

Gavin stood still clueless as to the appearance of the tension between them. He followed her back into the living room to retrieve his shoes, slipping them on before straightening just as Calla started packing what she might need for her own errands. Listening to her plans towards her brother, he quietly wished her luck in hopes her family would not cause her the pain it offered her.

His own romantic history though greater then his companions was not as plentiful as his advanced age might suggest....traveling and choice had made it that way so he didn't have the experience to read what was going through his girlfriend's mind.

"Yes of course," Gavin replied nodding in understanding of her words before watching as she walked towards him. "I...will too," he admitted quietly meeting her gaze as Calla stood before him, his hand slowly rising to brush her cheek softly before cupping her face and kissing her as he leaned in. It seemed as if a meer 24 hours had helped strengthen their bond even a little.

redifer 01-30-2010 10:32 PM

Her body sighed as he said he would miss her too. As his hand reached her cheek her eyes closed, it felt as if he could read her thoughts. She then felt his lips met hers, all her worries and insecurities disolved.

See you were worried for nothing. The kiss lasted for a long few moments, she pulled away slowly, finally opening her eyes. Her breath had left her chest. She hadn't felt such emotion before.

Looking into his eyes she wanted to forget all her plans and spend the entire day with him under a blanket. Realizing she was staring she blushed and pushed her hair behind her ear. "wow." Was all that slipped from her lips.

A few seconds later she realized she needed to be on her way. "I suppose we should be going." She hated saying those words. Never before had she desired to stay in the presense of one person so badly.

Holmesian Feline 02-01-2010 03:43 AM

Gavin couldn't help feeling Calla relax in his touch and in his kiss, smiling into the embrace. A part of him curious in the change but didn't want to dwell on it after a wonderful evening and morning despite the frazled interlude. As the kiss lasted, his hands had fallen to rest gently on her shoulders.

"That's one word for it," Gavin said at the quiet simple word that slipped from her lips that spoke volumes. It was even better then their first kiss at the restaurant only a few days before and he almost yearned for the next.

"We probably should," he answered in agreement, leaning close to kiss her forehead before holding out his hand. They both still had to walk to the edge of the property to apparate so they might as well do it together, and still reluctant to just leave.

redifer 02-01-2010 07:35 PM

She smiled as he agreed with her. That kiss was amazing.

As he pulled away from kissing her forehead she looked up into his eyes and smiled. There really wasn't anything more to be said. Although there was something she wanted to say - she kept it to herself.

She slipped her bag over her shoulder and took his hand. Letting him led them through cottage and out the front door. At the properly line she made sure all the protection charms were set.

"I'll be in Diagon Alley tomorrow; I've got some things to pick up. I should be through there around noon." She gave him a wink. If he had time, or was interested she was sure he'd find her. She would certainly be looking for him.

She leaned in and kissed his cheek. With that she turned on spot and was gone.

Holmesian Feline 02-01-2010 07:51 PM

Gavin lead them outside as she took his offered hand, enjoying the fleeting moments for now seeing as they both had things they had to do and clinging to each other wasn't gonna help. As they reached the property edge, he let go of her hand and stood for a minute as she reset the spells.

Listening to Calla, he raised a slightly curious eyebrow but as he caught her wink he knew exactly her intention seeing as he had been privy to it before. "Alright," he replied nodding in understanding before smiling at the kiss on his cheek and watching her disappear before following suit and returning to his own plans.

-end scene-

Fira 02-02-2010 08:18 PM

The moment Ryan Chambers's familiar figure appeared in the front yard, the heavy midnight rain fell on him making him groan unpleasantly. ''No, not even here''. Here was the good side of Muggle trasportation, there was no way he could get wet if it was possible for him to drive in his comfortable and dry car. However it was not a wise thing to bring a car from London to here; somewhere he had no idea how to spot on a map, in Scotland. Whatever. He had much more important business here so the rain did not worth paying attention right now.

At first he glanced at the Cottage where he could see no light, yet. Maybe she was sleeping but he did not care much, actually it might add to his advantages. Cautiously he walked to the front door and knocked it a couple of times wondering if she could be still awake at this hour.

redifer 02-02-2010 08:36 PM

Calla had fallen asleep in front of the fireplace. The rain had put a chill in the air and she lit the fire and lay on the couch reading her favorite love story until she fell asleep. She was in pleasant dreams of Gavin and their dates when there was a knock at the door.

She sat straight up, placing the book on the table and grabbing her wand. She was expecting no one. She stood quietly, wand pointed at the door. As she approached the door the pit of her stomach was in knots.

She thought about just not opening the door, but the fact of the matter was the only people who knew where this place was were either witches or wizards - so not opening the door would certainly be pointless.

She opened the door, wand held at her side. The person standing there looked like a wet dog, completely soaked from the night's rainfall.

She didn't recognize the man, it was dark and her eyes just couldn't adjust. "State your business." She said very sternly.

Fira 02-02-2010 08:52 PM

Ryan, at first place, got surprised when it door opened up right away. To be frank he was expecting a little bit of complexity there and was already planning in mind that how he could make it inside if she refused to open the door. Then if she opened the door right away and sounded that firm when she spoke, it was clear that she had her wand ready so Ryan had to be careful with no sudden acts in order to not to startle her.''I came to see you'' he said matter of factly, and took a step back so she might recognise his features.

redifer 02-02-2010 08:59 PM

As the man moved she gripped her wand tighter, then suddenly the glow from the fireplace fell across his face. RYAN!?

Her voice was gone for a second. She wasn't sure what he was doing there. Last time they spoke was when he slipped her a love potion - at which time she gave him the address to her home.

Honestly she wanted to send him away, tell him to leave and never return. She had trouble doing so though because the man was drenched and best she could tell shivering.

Lowering her wand slightly she rolled her eyes, " You came to see me? And this could not have been done at an earlier hour?" She was annoyed with the man, but him showing up tonight was just a recent development to her annoyance with him.

She wasn't sure what his problem was, or what she was thinking but she waved him in.

Fira 02-02-2010 09:27 PM

Ryan set his eyes on the tip of the red-headed woman's wand which was directly pointed at him. Hopefully she was not a coward one to shoot a stranger off the moment he appeared right at her door. He was, actually, happy to see that she lowered her defences a little when she seemed to take in his identity. An earlier hour? There was no such concept for Ryan since he rarely slept.

''This was not the kind of welcoming that many women would perform if they ever happened to see me at their door''
he said coolly with a half smile and stepped in once she indicated he could. ''Thank you.''. As usually the first thing he did once he was inside was observing around and memorising the details within the cottage. It was a nice and quiet place to live and it might have been good for him to live in such a place instead of struggling around the crowded streets of London. Then he glanced at the fire place ''Ah, looks like i have interrupted a rather comforting moment. ''

redifer 02-02-2010 09:48 PM

It seemed every time she started to feel sorry for this man he made a comment that made her realize he didn't need her pity. "Yes well maybe Birce would welcome you if you showed up at her door at... what time is it anyways?" She marched over and looked at tall floor clock near the kitchen area. "11:00pm?! But I'm not accustom to having men show up at my door so late." Oh yes, that was certainly an insult to the type of man he was and the type of woman he was probably looking for.

Taking her eyes from the clock she looked back to him. "Oh you're dripping all over the floor!" She took the 5 or so steps back over to him and used he wand to dry him and the floor.

As he mentioned a 'comforting moment' she felt insecure, why did she allowed him to have such power over her. Making her way back to the table where her book lay she picked up it and placed it in the basket beside the couch. The basket was full of love stories, classic and current, that she had read at least 3 times each.

She started at him in a very snippy tone. "Yes well if by comforting you mean I was sleeping then yes." Her eyebrow rose as she looked back to him.

"It's late Mr. Chambers, what is it you wanted to see me for?" She certainly knew is first name, but she wasn't exactly in a friendly mood. He had after all woke her from a fabulous dream.

Fira 02-03-2010 01:56 AM

Ryan felt a momentary hatred towards this woman when she mentioned Birce's name like that. So he tried not to look at her till it was gone otherwise...he knew, nothing good would come out of it. Like the day he was accused to be the killer of a fellow Auror, like the day he had to sacrifice his own soul, his goodness to remain alive and more importantly not to leave the mission uncompleted. And what did his boss do? What did Persephone do? If he had been a killer, it would have been quite natural after what they did. ''Do not pronounce her name...'' he said pushing back all those thoughts and trying to cool himself down ''...please.''

''I am here for a good reason.'' he began as she walked closer and dried him. ''I know it might not be a suitable time for you so please tolerate me about it. I tend to forget how it might be for other people because i do rarely sleep. So, yes, what i would mention as something comforting and happy is sleep'' He raised his eyebrows when she referred him as Mr. Chambers. She was trying to annoy him and everytime she did that Ryan was having difficulty not to fight back. He did not want to try to overpower her with his words but she was making it difficult for him. ''Ah, you made me wonder how many women would let some man who they call as Mister inside their home at such an hour.''

redifer 02-03-2010 02:43 AM

She watched him, his body language and his facial expressions. She hit a cord with him, internal smirk . She raised a single brow as he told her not to pronounce her name. Interesting She felt another wise crack bubbling up, but decided to not push it further. She wondered if they were a couple. Mmm maybe if that were the case he'd stop stalking her.

She felt bad as he semi apologized for calling at such a late hour. She exhaled in defeat. Him admitting that he didn’t sleep well feed her desire to know what actually went on in his head. He definitely seemed to have something loose up there.

And then she got a taste of her own medicine. She threw her hands up in the air. “You’re right Ryan. I probably shouldn’t have let you in if I go by our past.” Shaking her head this conversation was getting nowhere quickly.

She ran her fingers through her long red hair closed her eyes and collected herself. “OK Ryan, look I’m sorry I said that about you and … the woman I’m not suppose to say her name.” All she could think about was ’what if Gavin knew Ryan was here at this hour’

Taking another deep breath she turned to him, “Would you like some tea?”

Fira 02-03-2010 03:03 AM

He smiled slightly when she got the hit but what was more important that she said 'Our past' not something like 'Your messing around with me' or 'You being a total jerk'. Mentally mentioning the word 'Jerk', for a moment, it made him think over how many people, mostly women, called him with this insult word. As he could not count them up, he also could not tell that they were all wrong. However, on the other hand, there had always been a reason that they needed to be treated that way.

''Our past has nothing compared to the ones between me and some other people, believe me Calla'' laughing, he felt more sympathy towards Calla when she apologised. ''Apologies accepted'' his remark came as he looked around curiously 'Hmm which is her most fluffy and comfortable armchair?' ''Oh, yes tea would be wonderful!'' was that a happy exclamation? Yes, it was. ''And do you have music too? I would love to listen to some as we drink our tea''
