Tom Felton no longer attending Ring*Con, replaced by Angelica Mandy? (UPDATED)
 

Actor Tom Felton was originally scheduled to attend Ring*Con in Germany this weekend, but had to cancel due to Deathly Hallows filming commitments. Tom announced this on his Twitter earlier today, stating:

Harry Potter Xperts is reporting that his co-stars Joshua Herdman (Gregory Goyle) and Angelica Mandy (Gabrielle Delacour) have taken his place at the convention, though this has not been confirmed. We will update with more information on who attended Ring*Con as it is made available.

Also note that Matthew Lewis, who was originally scheduled to attend Ring*Con with Tom, will still be heading to Germany this weekend. He stated on his Twitter:

UPDATE: We have just received a fresh report from Harry Potter Xperts claiming that Josh will NOT be present due to illness. However tomorrow (Sunday) there will be a panel with Angelica and Matt.

If anyone is attending Ring*Con this weekend and has the chance to talk to the actors, please feel free to send in photos and reports!

It's very strange that they knew that one day before he should be there. I just bought a ticket to see him and know he isn't there.
And at first he wrote some other tweets on twitter but he deleted them and wrote this instead. At first he wrote that he never had planed to go to the RingCon.

That's sad! I wish I could go to Ring*Con. I mean, seeing Tom and Matthew would be nice... but I would want to see my beloved :loved:Craig Parker:loved: (aka my Ministry charrie model)!!!

Well, I guess he's right, there is always next year!! And Hope all who go have a great time!!

Joshua Herdman is not a good substitute for all those wanting to see Tom Felton...However, Matt Lewis is worth triple the entrance fees ;)

He replied to my Tweet, the one that was written to @Diagon_Alley was directed at me. I was at Ring*Con and only checking Twitter on my mobile phone, so I wasn't able to copy-paste the reply before he had deleted it, but he definitely said in that reply that he had never planned to go to Ring*Con. I can't remember the exact wording but that was the message anyway. Then when I checked Twitter again a little later, I couldn't find that @reply anymore, but just the general one that is quoted in this thread.

I also went to Ring*Con first and foremost because of Matt Lewis and Tom Felton, and was indeed quite disappointed that Tom didn't show up. But Matt was awesome, he was so sweet and nice and seemed genuinely overwhelmed by the welcome he received at his Q&A. <3

He replied to me too and then the tweet was deleted but there are some screenshots on websites.
I would have been happy to see Matt but he was there on Sunday although he should have been the hole weekend at the RingCon and I only was at the RingCon on Saturday. So I didn't see him. :(
