Surrey castle set to be used for Deathly Hallows filming
 

It is being reported that a castle in Surrey, England, which is currently surrounded by a set of makeshift fort and ancient village sites for Robin Hood, will be used in the final Harry Potter films. The castle set is currently being used for the Ridley Scott production; after Robin Hood has complete its tenure on the site, the village sets will be taken down, and the castle itself will be used for unknown sequences in Deathly Hallows.

We will have much more on this, including when and what production will be set up around the Surrey castle construction, when corresponding information is released.

It could be the Lovegood house. :lol:

Or it could be a close up on the Battle of Hogwarts, like have some Death Eaters thowing curses at it and just have a cumputerized version of the rest of the school in the background. :yes:

It's not exactly "Potterish", but it does remind me of Warwick castle a bit.



I can't work out what they might be filming there though, unless some new scene is being inserted? Or they aren't going to use any wide shots? hmmm


EDIT: Just thought, could it be Nurmengard? That would need to look unlike any other Potter building we've seen as it's in mainland europe somewhere.

It looks very nurmengard-ish but "Surrey castle set to be used for Deathly Hallows filming" sounds like something more than only few shots of Nurmengard. I believe it is tha Malfoy Manor

why aren't they using the old building?

I've been here! What a cool place to film some bits of the movie. Probably malfoy manor, but it could be anything really.

Surely they would choose an actual manor house for Malfoy Manor. Not a castle like this. Come to think of it, I think they already have a place for Malfoy Manor. I think it will either be Lovegood's house or Nuremgard.

I don't agree with the Malfoymanorstuff. It's not Malfoyish. It's big, yes, but wasn't there already casted a house for them? It looks too old to me, not modern enough for the Malfoys.

That shell cottage is being used for shell cottage, where Bill and Fleur live.

This just screams Lovegood house to me. Pretty much how the book described it. Although if I remember correctly, it said that their house just resembled a giant grey chess rook. But that's what the towers look like, I suppose.

I don't think it's the Lovegood house...most likely Numergrand or for some battle scenes, but anyway it could be anything since they can fix it using comuters, I think...

thats going to be awesome It looks like part Lovegood house part Malfoy manor and part Hogwarts but if it were used as Hogwarts then it would be diffrent from the others

Well if they’ve already got Malfoy manor then its’ probably Nurmengard although it’s nothing like I imagined it if it is.

Maybe it's going to be used as a part of Hogwarts... doesn't look like it, true but as long as it's just part of it and they mix it with the rest of Hogwarts well then I don't mind. Malfoy Manor....I'm not 100% convinced.. but still, it could happen....;P
