Seventh & final Pottermore Magical Quill challenge clue, on Deathly Hallows CLOSED
 

The final and seventh clue from Pottermore.com’s Magical Quill Scavenger Hunt has just been released, giving fans worldwide the opportunity to gain early access to J.K. Rowling’s Pottermore website by answering a question on the seventh novel, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.

Note: If you figured out the clue and answer, and have been able to register and get your verification, you are done with this stage of the Pottermore experience. You will no longer have to register again this week through the Magical Quill challenge; the next part is to await for the Welcome Email for the Pottermore beta site, which will be sent anytime between August 7 to September 30, 2011.

Haha, I knew this one was going to be up soon since in England it's pretty late for them. I assumed JKR or whoever is responsible might have wanted some sleep. :P I've already got mine so I'm trying to do one for my little siblings, except for the fact that I'm failing at finding the Magical Quill. Either that or I'm as blind as a bat... >_<

It's at the top of the page, just click it and wait for the magical quill to float up.

So the clue is actually posted when I'm online, but it's not working for me when I put in the answer. I get taken to the Parseltongue Translator, but there's no Magical Quill or anything and I'm not sure what to do :erm:

I went to the link and it brought me to the parseltounge translator but the magical quill isn't showing!! :(

I think it's been almost as much fun just waiting for the clue and finding the quill! I must say the last 4 questions have been pretty easy! I can't wait for my email to come so I can log in for real!

wait until the intro video is done and then it is at the top of the page

Skip the translator it is just a distraction, go to the top and look at the ad. There are floating quills there. Pick the one that shines.

Go back. Skip the intro. Look above the Parseltongue translator. 'The quill is here' is above it. Click it. It will have a link to Pottermore. If not, refresh or go back. Keep trying and good luck.

Skip the translator, it's a distraction/decoy. Go up to the ad at the top, the quills are floating there. The magical one is the one that shines. Click that.

Make sure you are able to view the animated adverts, because it's one of them. If your computer blocks them then you won't be able to view it

there are no ads...no quills I skipped it theres nothing :(

For those of you who can't find the quill, skip the intro video and then see the add above the parseltounge generator...

I've just helped a friend to register for the account. Took awhile to find the magic quill, but glad I did.

Also, congratulations to those who managed to register as well! :D

On my computer there is nothing more than Harry's head at the "top." There's no more room for a quill like the screen shot above on SS. And I even disabled my pop up blocker so I've no idea what's going on... [:/]

Okay thank you so much! It worked on Firefox; I was using Internet Explorer before that. :)

Unfortunately, I think that it's going to take a while for the welcome letters to come out mainly because there will be at least a million letters to send out and they can't afford for the Beta site to crash on the first day. According to the congratulatory letter, it should come between tomorrow and Sept 30. Here's hoping I don't have to wait until Sept 30th because that's just one day before everyone else can get in and if that happens then playing the challenge would have been all for nought. Crossing fingers!!

You should first see the Parseltongue translat0r. Skip the intro on that and don't hit play. You should see an ad above the translator. Disable your pop up blocker. If you can't see it keep refreshing the screen.
