HARRY Potter star Robbie Coltrane has turned to celebrity clinic The Priory to combat his depression after the break up of his marriage.

Robbie, 53, gentle giant Hagrid in the Potter films, spoke to counsellors at a clinic near his £3million Glasgow home.

He was then thought to have gone on a drinking binge in London after working on new Potter film Prisoner of Azkaban.

The 23 stone actor — a self-confessed binge drinker — was seen returning to his Covent Garden hotel looking dishevelled.

The Scot split from sculptress Rhona, 34, earlier this year.

She is believed to have struck up a close friendship with TV director David Council.

Heartbroken Robbie is worried about losing contact with children Spencer, 10, and Alice, five.

Priory staff told him to visit their main hospital in Roehampton, South West London — used by Princess Margaret and model Kate Moss — in between shooting.

A source said: “Robbie is desperate to sort himself out.

“He loves his children immensely and wants to do everything he can to give them a dad they can be proud of.”

That is so sad! I never even heard about his divorce. I hope his kids take it well. Divorces are so hard on kids - especially young ones. It's good that he's trying to get help & sort through his problems instead of doing something drastic. Hopefully, things will turnout better for him!
