Jamie Campbell Bower confirmed for Grindelwald role in Deathly Hallows
 

Jamie Campbell Bower's agent has reportedly confirmed, at the Cannes film festival, that the young actor will be playing the teenage version of Grindelwald in Deathly Hallows.

We first heard the actor was involved in negotiations at the beginning of last month. Photos of him can be seen here. He apparently starts filming at the end of this month.

lets hope he's got more about him than his bland outting in Sweeny Todd.

Wow! That's great... I first saw him @ the musical film Sweeney Todd. Alan Rickman (Snape), Helena Bonham-Carter (Bellatrix) and Timothy Spall (Peter Pettigrew) were there also...

I've seen him in Sweeney Todd but he doesn't look evil enough to be Grindelwald but we will see.

Makeup can do wonders. Ralph Fiennes doesn't look evil until you get the makeup on.

I don't know whether he's a good choice, I didn't see Sweeney Todd. But remember he's not exactly 100% evil from the beginning, he's a bit like a blonde Tom Riddle I think :lol:

NO NO NO NO! I'm sorry but if someone is apart of the Twilight-ness, I don't want them in HP! Does that seem mean? I'm sorry if it is, but that's just how I feel and how much I hate Twilight. Now we'll have teenage girls running into DH thinking "ZOMG, he's so HAWT! But he was better in New Moon.." Blah blah blah.

I've seen some pictures of him recently and he looks like a 12 year old boy. But I still like this casting choice.

I don't like that he's going to be in New Moon as well.

I don't kow what he thinks he's doing with the eyeliner look. But I like him as an actor. He was amazing in Sweeney Todd.

Hpnaiv: If people come into see Harry Potter simply because of JCB, then they are slightly sad in the first place. It can be said about tons of actors "Oh, they were good... but they were better in ____" It happens. Everyone has their own opinions :)

Well, he is sort of handsome in his very own way, but he's a bit scary looking, too, if you know what I mean, so I guess he can pull off the Grindelwald part physically, at least. :)

Whoop whoop, that means he'll be playing in both HP and New Moon, and I'm really excited for both.

He wouldn't be my choice for Grindelwald, but they must have picked him for a good reason. I won't be prejudice before I see him in DH. Maybe when he gets into costume he will look more like how I pictured Grindelwald to be.

First with Rob as both Cedric and Edward *swoons*, then with JCB as Caius and Grindelwald...
Oh well, at least this leaves both saga with talented (and hawt) cast members and happy fans!

I agree 100%! Twilight and HP fans should NOT be mixed! We could have an all out war(HP would totally win)! Besides, he doesn't look to me as if he is the person to play Grindelwald. I say his performance in Sweeney Todd. It wasn't that great(Alan Rickman was soooo much better). Oh well, David Yates(hopefully)knows what he is doing. Maybe it will all work out in the end, maybe.
