J.K. Rowling updates on current lives of Harry Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger J.K. Rowling did an unexpected thing, where she finally, nearly seven years since the release of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, went into great detail about what happened to her characters after the war. As part of the 2014 Quidditch World Cup, and an 'article' written by Rita Skeeter, Pottermore updated with an article about the current whereabouts of Harry Potter, Ginny Potter, Ron Weasley, Hermione Granger, Neville Longbottom, Luna Lovegood, and the rest of the Weasley family. The full incredible details can be read right here. Quote:

LOLOLOLOL this article by Rita Skeeter is great. I really need to get on Pottermore more! My own mother was freaking out about this story and saying something about Daniel Radcliffe being cast in Fantastic Beasts.... she really needs to watch the morning news better. :P |
I love this! :loved: I too need to scope out Pottermore way more than I do. |
Oh dear God! JKR is hilarious!!! This is exactly what one would expect from Skeeter and she delivered it!!! All these years...her blonde hair must have turned steel grey but the grey matter inside will tick tock the same way... Never minces words!!! True Gossip Columnist I guess...;) and I am pretty sure JKR derives all these ideas from the gossip that is written about her in the papers...The level of exaggeration and ludicrousness... |

I love this!!! And Teddy Lupin, ugh ugh, my heart. </3 <33 |
:rotfl: This is amazing. It's hilarious. Hopefully we'll get some more articles like this! *crosses fingers* |
Oh man! This is awesome! And funny  |
Oh my word, this is fabulous! |
My favourite bits: "Does Hermione Granger prove that a witch really can have it all? (No – look at her hair.)" And number one: "The good news is both of them seem to have invented a method of breathing through their ears." I honestly spent about a full minute laughing at this sentence, bwahahahahahaha!! |
This made me so, so, so happy. Ugh, this is perfect. Some of my favorite parts: "...but he continues to wear the distinctive round glasses that some might say are better suited to a style-deficient twelve-year-old" ‘We do not comment on the top secret work of the Auror department, as we have told you no less than 514 times, Ms. Skeeter.’ "Still delightfully eccentric, Luna has been sweeping around the VIP section in robes composed of the flags of all sixteen qualifying countries" "The good news is both of them seem to have invented a method of breathing through their ears. I can think of no other reason how they have survived such prolonged periods of what, in my young day, was called ‘snogging.’" UGH UGH TEDDY AND VICTOIRE UGH MY HEART. And, lastly: "And for those who want to know exactly how imperfect they are, my new biography: Dumbledore’s Army: The Dark Side of the Demob will be available from Flourish and Blotts on July 31st." …Happy Birthday, Harry! Honestly though, I think my cheeks are starting to hurt from smiling so much. JO, YOU ARE AMAZING. |

UGH, RIGHT?!?! I wish she would publish THIS book, for reals. And the one about Dumbledore that Rita Skeeter wrote back in Harry's school days. :x3: |
Ohhhhmygoooosh! I'm so in love! This is awesome! :lmao: Made my night. Eeeeek. |
 Rita Skeeter must be getting old by now. |
I think the article takes place about two or three years before the Deathly Hallows epilogue. The end of the battle is May 1998, according to the book so nineteen years later makes Harry about 37 if my calculations are correct. Harry and Ginny looked very happy in the "Nineteen Years Later" scene in "Deathly Hallows: Part 2" so I think Rita is just being her usual self. I mean, look at what she writes about Hermione. |
