Hammer and Momentum Pictures hosted a panel for Daniel Radcliffe's upcoming thriller, The Woman in Black, on Saturday at Empire BIG SCREEN, which SnitchSeeker attended. Director James Watkins and editor Jon Harris introduced a couple of exclusive segments from the film with Dan's character Arthur Kipps to the audience, and then chatted about working with the Harry Potter actor himself.
Additionally, CBS Films released a high-resolution image of the Entertainment Weekly scan (the untinted one seen as well) with Arthur Kipps lying on the ground. Those can be found in our galleries. The U.S. teaser trailer will be released mid-week; a new poster with a close-up of Dan later this week, as well. We will have everything here as soon as they are online. 
 • The production and post-production of the film are nearly completed, and the thriller aspect focuses more on the anticipation of fear than visually frightening scenes.
• Watkins discussed how Dan worked in a muddy marsh tank for three days and persevered through; he mentioned how proud he was of the performance. Also, Dan never auditioned for the role, but he did discuss the story and character with Watkins prior to filming.
• Watkins said, "We can expect a growing sense of dread when watching the film... Subtle, measured and unsettling. It WILL get under people's skin. And there WILL be jumpy moments!.. We're keeping it old school' James - 'A proper British horror house film."
• On working with Dan, "Daniel is such a delight to work with - to an extent it is suspicious!"
• Harris admitted that The Woman in Black will be seen as Dan's first adult performance.
The Woman in Black will be released in theatres in the U.S. and U.K. February 2012.  | |

I Can't wait to see Daniel in this. HE is so versatile, and in everything I've seen in documentaries, such an outstanding role model with great morals and work ethics.
It will be a pleasure to see him in something different , even if I usually do not like horrors.
Perhaps this is more of a 'thriller' with an actual plot. Those are ok.  | |

I'm really looking forward to this movie! Sounds like it's going to be an actual scary movie instead of those stupid gross out Slasher flicks. Just wish it was coming out at Halloween instead of February. It'd be perfect!
