First edition inscribed Chamber of Secrets expected to fetch thousands

A first edition inscribed and signed copy of Chamber of Secrets is expected to fetch thousands at auction, next week. The personal message inside reads;

‘To Emily, I am very flattered to hear how much you liked Harry one – hope this one doesn’t disappoint, JK Rowling’.

She wants the money. I think even I'd sell it for thousands if it meant I could pay for my car or uni or something.

Actually a lot of people would want it. Most wouldn't care who it was signed for. The fact that it was personally signed by the author herself is the real draw. If I had the money, I'd sure as heck throw in for it.

hmm if i had that book i wouldn't have sold it nuhuh but it is her decision. ^_^

Also, i hope the book goes to a FAN .. not some kid who isn't a fan but has rich parents that only buy the book because they have nothing else to do with their money <_<

Awww, Its lovely that she wants to sell it onto another fan :) The only thing that would make me like this woman more would be if she gave some of the money she gets from it to a charity, even if its only a diddy amount of money. ^_^

I would never sell somehting like that, esp. if it was addressed to me. Plus, who would want a book that was autographed for someone else? But it's cool that it's worth tons of money!

Wow thats so nice. I wouldnt sell it (sorry if i sound selfish). I dont care if its even signed for someone else...I would give my whole piggy bank for it.

I would never sell an HP book that WASN'T signed, yet alone a PERSONALLY SIGNED COPY! Oh, well. I'm sure she'll get quite a bundle from it!

I wouldn't really want a book that was signed to someone else, it'd just be wierd, as if the book didn't really belong to me...

I'd love for JKR to sign a book especially to me... :P But I don't think I'd want one that was sighed to someone else... :S

Cool! someone will get really lucky, but why the heck is she selling it??? I would never sell it if it were me... But whatever.

Omg! I want it!! I would spend thousands of dollars to have that book...too bad I'm a college student on a budget.

It makes absolutely NO SENSE for that person to sale it. How dumb can you get?! :(
