Deathly Hallows cast & crew pay tribute for Remembrance Day on Hogwarts set This past Tuesday marked Remembrance Day in the UK, where many people around the country stood in silence for two minutes at 11am to show respect for those lost during World War I and subsequent battles. The cast and crew for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows were no exception to this. One of the crew members, called Jamie, sent a text to BBC Radio 5 Live on November 11th, stating the following: Quote:
Thanks very much to Violet for the tip. |
That's very considerate of them. :) |
That's awesome. I bet that was really something to see. I hope they took pictures. That was nice of them to honor them that way. :) |
Awww That's Really Nice! It's Also Really Depressing When You Think About It. |
Thats awesome of them! |
That is so sweet of them! GO cast and crew! |
How sweet, we don't have Remembrance Day in the US. |

They are just the most thoughtful people ever! |
That is very nice of them! They are always so considerate! |
Nice of them! |
sorry to be picky, but it's in rememberance of soldiers lost in all conflicts from ww1 until this current day. And taking photos during the two minute silence would, i imagine be deemed inappropriate. |
Aw, thats very sweet... Are they allowed to give details about what part of the film they are filming? Anyways, it's great to know they are filming the battle sequence (if it is the one I am thinking about). |
Jain- depending on where in the world you are it's in Remembrance for different things. Where I live we have a day called ANZAC day and that is when we celebrate and remember the dead lost from all the wars while on REMEMBRANCE DAY we only pay tribute to the soldiers that died in WW1. But it was very considerate of them to pay tribute to those soldiers that died in the conflict and shows just how conscientious all of the cast and crew are when it comes to days of importance to the world. |
They are awesome! |
woop!! go HP cast n crew!! |
WOW that very considerate of them :) go HP |
Well, that was very awesome of them!!! Go Harry Potter Cast and Crew! |
It's great to hear that. I wonder how are they filming the battle sequence without Emma? Do you maybe know? |
WWI was particularly brutal for Britain.... |
very respectful of them :sevribbon: |
That's so nice of them... It's one of those things where I wish they had video of everyone just silent like that... kinda heart wrenching, y'know? I'm not gonna lie though, I kinda got chills when he said "Ruins of Hogwarts" makes me sad. =[ |
Woosh! That's awesome. Very beautiful. |
