Daniel Radcliffe films Kill Your Darlings at Columbia U; Woman in Black on DVD May 22
 

Daniel Radcliffe and the cast of Kill Your Darlings, including on-screen love interest Dane DeHaan, and Michael C. Hall (Dexter) as David Kammerer (who is the object of murder focused in the film), one of the students' professors, filmed scenes at Columbia University's campus in New York City on Thursday afternoon. Images taken of the cast between takes and shooting scenes by students on campus and passersby were released throughout Twitter this afternoon; those shots, including of those of Dan as a college-bound Allen Ginsberg carrying what seems to be a green laundry bag, can be found below.

UPDATE: The NY Times released a new promotional behind-the-scenes still of Dan as Ginsberg with Dane DeHaan's Lucien Carr and costar Ben Foster as William Burroughs from the feature as part of their 'Columbia and the Beats' photo essay. That is viewable below.

Dan's supernatural thriller, The Woman in Black - the actor's first foray after the completion of the Harry Potter series - will be released on DVD and Blu-ray in the U.S. beginning May 15, 2012. Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has announced DVD ($30.99) and Blu-ray ($35.99) releases of The Woman in Black for May 15th. Extras will include a commentary with director James Watkins and writer Jane Goldman and two featurettes ("Inside The Perfect Thriller: Making The Woman in Black", "No Fear: Daniel Radcliffe as Arthur Kipps").

The Woman in Black follows a young lawyer, Arthur Kipps (Daniel Radcliffe), who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the UK and sort out a recently deceased client’s papers. As he works alone in an old and isolated house, Kipps begins to uncover its tragic secrets, and his unease grows when he discovers that the local village is held hostage by the ghost of a scorned woman set on vengeance.

Furthermore, Hammer Films announced that a sequel for The Woman in Black, called Angels Of Death, was greenlit and scheduled for production, though without Daniel or his character Arthur Kipps. The film will reportedly take place 40 years after the time frame of the first installment.

I have yet to see The Woman in Black but would like to see it when I have the chance. This movie also looks very interesting. I like that Dan doesn't look too much like Harry with glasses on again. And he sure can attract quite the crowd!

That would be so hard to act like there weren't a bunch of people watching you shoot a scene. I mean, that acting would be hard enough as is, but throw in a bunch of screaming fans taking your picture all the time... Wow, good luck, Dan!
