Alan Rickman receives James Joyce award Actor Alan Rickman (Severus Snape) received the James Joyce award earlier today from The University College of Dublin's Literary and Historical Society in Ireland. Last year, J.K. Rowling was given the accolade, which honours outstanding success in the recipient's field (acting for Alan; writing for Jo).
