Conference Room http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/...psadk0mv94.jpg |
Humming a tune and sashaying her hips to and fro, Delphine made her way into the Conference Room, a basket hanging from her arm. She could have used the Break Room for this little suggestion, sure, but she hardly ever got the chance to USE the Conference Room. At this rate, the room was going to gain more cobwebs than her cellar back at home. Or the stash of historical treasures that she had to keep out of reach of her two year old. Because Merlin knew, that boy of hers was too curious for his own good. Spotting no cobwebs or dust as far as she could see, the woman placed the basket down onto the main table in the room and started unloading the goods within. An array of pastries, muffins, cookies and general snacks were set onto a large tray towards the middle of the table. Next came the pots of tea, coffee, various juices and even water for the randomers who didn't like any of the caffeinated or juicy blends. Delphine did not understand that concept but she wasn't about to question it. Instead, she was going to grab herself a cup of coffee and sit down on a random seat. And.................. silence. Siiiiiiiip. She should probably sit in a cool and casual way. Something to suggest that she wasn't about to give a telling off. With this thought in mind, the legs went onto the tabletop and she leant back on her seat. Yep. Cool. Casual. And with a cup of coffee in her hand that was slowly starting to burn her tongue with every sip that she took. Blegh! And no one was here. #awkward |
Linda entered the Conference Room and saw that only one person was there. "Hello there. I'm Linda Manning. I'm the new Media Liaison." She made her way to a seat next to the Senior Undersecretary and sat down. "Hope you don't mind me sitting here." |
don't mind him...hiii~ While Daichi was swiftly walking towards the conference room, he was also eating a sandwhich he had made back at his apartment but had no time to eat there. For the hundred time, he had slept through his alarm clock (he really needed to find an solution to that) and was on his way to the ministry after a quick wash up. Stopping in front of the room, Daichi swallowed his food, did a quick check up on how he looked in one of the windows and finding himself presentable he knocked on the door before entering. He wasn’t surprised to find their Head of Department there. What he was surprised about was that no one else except for her and a new employee was there. Wait…Boss…new employee.. GAAAAAAAAAAAASP this wasn’t an intake conversation right?! “I’m sorry! I thought the conference was today” FKLHGAJFA Merlin's beard! this was so embarrassing! |
Ezra paused in front of the conference room door to perform his routine check, as if his appearance could have changed since when he'd checked it five minutes before. He used the reflection in the face of his large wristwatch to adjust a strand But wait. Did somebody say Media Liaison? Talking about him already, were they? It was about time, really,as there was nothing better to be talking about but others did have a horrible tendency not to realize that. Smoothing his tie down again, he flashed a dimpled smile at the woman who'd said it, and reached out a hand to shake hers. Hopefully she'd sanitized before this little meeting. "Media Liaison? Oh yes, that's me." She HAD been admiring him, yes? Good. "Ezra Bellamy," he added, standing up as straight as was humanly possible. She'd do well to remember that name. Ezra held a hand out to the senior undersecretary next, smiling at her as well despite the fact that she had her shoes on the table like a common hooligan. Clearly this place needed him in charge. "Miss Cavanagh." And of course there was the man who was eating that horrid sandwich, who received a well rehearsed smile as well, merely for existing. There. All the bases covered and still no Tiffany. The media liaison took a seat next to Miss Cavanagh and interlaced his fingers on the table, eyes fixed on the door. Would she just get here already? He'd be hard pressed to get through this entire meeting with only a sandwich-eater and an honest-to-merlin CASUAL department head to look at. |
uhum. Everybody. Hi. This is for all of you. Despite whatever it may have looked like, Tiffany Price was not running late. She never ran late. She occasionally arrived fashionably late, but never just late. Because that would make her look careless. And if there was anything one should know about Tiffany Price, it would be that she is absolutely everything but careless. She was practically oozing 'care'. That much should've been obvious in the way she walked into the Ministry, letting her heels clack with purpose. The way that she dressed, far more extravagantly than necessary (as per usual). And the way that she peeked into the room making sure he had shown up before her. Which, by the way, is exactly why she had intended to show up later than usual. Tiffany Price waited on no one. But everyone waited on Tiffany Price. It was like the rules of living. #DUH. Ahem. Anyways. The queen had arrived. Heels, outfit, and smile on point. As always. But something was different. Ever since her Tiffany was going to talk to EVERYBODY. So that they ALL knew how HAPPY she was. Okay, this isn't even funny anymore. Who in the name of Merlin's graying underpants decided to confund her this morning? We're blaming Ezra. Everything was always his bloody fault. ANYWAYS. Back to the point. She was going to talk to EVERYONE. Starting with that new face. Oh, wait... A new face? Tiffany walked right up to this new face person [Linda] (which okay she never payed enough attention to people to remember faces but she was SURE this one was new). "Hey! I'm Tiffany Price," uh, no despite how different she felt she wasn't going to shake hands. "Are you new?" Was that too blunt? Like she cared. And then there was that guy [Daichi]. He wasn't' a stranger. But then again, Tiffany never really took the time to talk to him.... Let alone know his name. Oh. Uh. "Heeey--" whatsyourface "Did you have a good holiday?" Y'know, during the break and all? This is what normal, average people talked about, right? And of course she saw him. Him being Ezra Bellamy btw. But she had to go full circle before sitting by him because then she'd definitely forget to talk to anyone else. And this was the NEW and IMPROVED Tiffany Price. Well, temporarily anyways. Her BOSS. Actually, Tiffany missed whatshisface. Was it Gavin? That sounded right. Well, she missed that guy. But this new woman wasn't all that bad. Except that Tiffany thought she needed some work in the style department and the 'trying to appear casual' department. Maybe that's why Tiffany had refused to go visit her in the past. Ahem. Well none of that seemed very important just now 'cause Tiffany was feeling GREEAAT. It was all Ezra's fault too. Merlin. "Hello Miss Cavanagh!" she let her voice do the sing-song thing, which normally would've felt weird and a big no-no but TODAY nothing seemed to matter. "I take it you've been doing well? Keeping busy?" Again, not that she really cared. People were supposed to ask HER about HER life so that she could tell them how HAPPY she was. Speaking of which. Oh Ezraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa. Ahem. Thankfully no one had stolen the seat next to him and it was HERS. Her rightful thrown. Of course she stopped by one of the refreshment tables to grab two teas (one for him and one for herself) before walking back towards the table and sliding into the seat next to his. "Hey, you," fortunately she was allowed to stop pretending that she hated his guts because he made her admit to feelings or whatever. So here she was. Being happy. EXPRESSING EMOTIONS???? What the heck?? Did she even have those!? ... Well, apparently yes. |
Bhuvana was excited for this meeting, actually. Of course, she didn't show her excitement, because she was not about that life. New coworkers meant that she had an excuse for not talking to them, which was nice (because after so many years of not talking to her old coworkers, they started to get suspicious). Also, of course, she looked fantastic, with her hair piled up on top of her head and dangly earrings in. She dressed to impress, and she definitely would. Impress, that is. Oh. Lots of people. She awarded them all an appraising nod, then looked around for the Minister. He was the reason she was excited to be here. Was he going to be here? |
Linda shook Ezra's hand as she said with a smile, "My name's Linda Manning. I'm going to be working as Media Liaison like you I presume." Since it was the start of a new job Linda kept her true emotions to herself. She couldn't stand people who were of the opinion that the world revolved around them but she was determined to not let anyone get her down. Linda was next greeted by a woman with long brown hair (Tiffany). "I am new. My name's Linda Manning." Linda flashed a quick and polite smile at Tiffany. Linda clasped her hands together and placed them in her lap. She was getting nervous but she certainly wasn't going to show it. |
ZOMG HI FRANDZ *whaa* There was a time when meetings used to terrify Sherman. To be truthful, that time was still the present, but he'd become quite excellent at hiding that fear. Besides, every gathering that Miss Cavanagh put together was extremely well organized, and he could hardly pass up the opportunity to personally meet some of the best workers employed at the Ministry. With that thought in mind, the tiny old man rolled into the conference room in his wheelchair, beaming up at all the friendly faces. "Hello, everyone! Wonderful day, isn't it?" Oooh, were those DOUGHNUTS?! |
Oh wow he felt like a complete idiot now that he realised that this was the conference meeting time and not something personal between the new employee and the boss. Perhaps he should stay quit throughout the meeting , bring no attention to himself so that he could not embarrass himself further. That was a no no though as one of the employees he ..knew from face not name (Tifanny) decided to say hi to him. “Eh…hi” He said. "pretty good, i moved in to a different appartment. One thats closer to work" Boring, he knew. But he did not know her and he wasn't the type to talk about himself so he smiled and figured this would be a good time to ask her name. “Sorry, what was your name again?” The fact that she acted so normal made him belief that maybe they hadn’t seen his embarrassing mistake about the meeting. Well, they had been here later so of course they hadn’t seen it. Daichi decided to sit down at the table and eat a doughnut. And then the doors opened again and Daichi saw the Minister for Magic himself riding in to the room in a wheelchair. With a small gasp, he jumped on his feet and dashed towards the man and bowed his head in greeting. “Hello Minister sir...Minister” ......WHYYYY did he Always say embarrassing stuff?! |
*apologises for the lateness* <3 Was she alone? NOT FOR LONG. The woman, who at this point had been fiddling with the many rings that adorned her fingers out of nervousness, looked up as the first person walked in and introduced herself. "Ms MAAAAAAnning! Welcome welcome," she said, throwing her arms out wide in a welcoming gesture. And the lady was going to sit next to her? This made her POPULAR. "Of course not. Help yourself to some snacks." Needless to say that they needed finishing before the Senior Undersecretary got her hands on too many of them. Oh and another fellow (Daichi). A confused fellow. The woman tilted her head, half wondering if his brain was still snoozing. She wouldn't be here with snacks and drinks if there wasn't a conference, kiddo. "Oh you're fiiiiine!" He didn't seem to be so, she was going to help resolve the situation. She could have easily told him to wake his brain up but she wasnt that type of person. Actions spoke louder than words so, grabbing a pot of coffee and a mug, she poured some out for the man and passed it over to him. "It'll help." Delphine couldn't help but admire just how smartly dressed her department were. Sure, this was the Ministry and one could hardly turn up in jogging bottoms but Merlin, the fashion standard was high in here. "Mr Bellamy," she said, shaking his hand, "Glad you could make it." The fashion standard kept rising and rising. Maybe this wasn't a department to look casual in. Ahem. Taking her feet off the desk, the single mother smiled at the very well dressed woman. "Hello, Ms Price," Was she doing well? Keeping busy? "You could say that. My two year old really likes throwing spaghetti at the walls." Sigh. Boys. "You look very happy today." And here was a silent one. A silent new employee. Delphine tilted her head at Ms Assadi, watching her curiously. Cat got her tongue? Poor soul. "Helloooooo, Ms," she said, smiling over at her. It was always wonderful to see the Minister rolling in on his wheelchair. D'aw! "Helloooooo Minister! Help yourself to anything you like." Everything was on her. Weren't they lucky? Was that everyone? Delphine glanced down at her watch. Well, even if it wasn't the others were going to have to deal with being late. Tut tut. So, standing up, the woman threw her arms out wide before saying, "Hellooooooo Minister and employees! I take it everyone is well? Had a nice break? Ready to get back into the jobs you all love?" Her voice boomed out across the room because guess what? She liked to be heard, it was as simple as that. And she didn't understand the meaning of 'quiet'. "The point of this meeting," There was no point. "is for us to get to know one another before we all get caught up in the kerfuffle of our work schedules. So, I want you each to go around and introduce yourselves and tell me one or more interesting facts about yourselves." And she was going to start! "I am Delphine Cavanagh, your Senior Undersecretary and.......... I collect historical artefacts. Lots of them. Especially the darker and more forbidden ones." Which was why her office looked like a museum. And museums were GREAT, thank you. Taking a seat again, she called out, "NEXT!" |
Linda saw the Minister for Magic wheel himself into the room. She gave him a little wave and said, "Hello Minister. It is a very nice day, sir." After Delphine introduced herself, Linda slowly stood up and smiled at everyone. "Hello. My name's Linda Manning, I'm originally from New York, moved to London about four years ago and I am new to the Ministry. I am the new Media Liaison. I used to work as a photographer for Stardust magazine which is a wizarding music magazine. |
When your boss gives you a mug of coffee you know it wasn’t right. Daichi knew that she thought of him as a nutcase but wanted to keep professional and instead of yelling at him to keep his mind straight she gave him coffee. Although, accepting the coffee was far better than hearing *Katharos, my office, now!* and then hear he has one last warning or even none. Eeeek he didn’t even want to think about it! “Ah , thanks” he said sheepishly as he blew on the hot coffee. Lack of sleep hadn’t been it. He had slept the whole night without interruptions . Perhaps that was the problem? He had slept so good that he was still a bit snoozing… He continued to sip on his black coffee with sugar when the woman started the meeting. A get to know each other meeting. He listened to her as she introduced herself and then a new woman did the same after that. Linda Manning, new to the media liaison. That meant she would be working with him. Standing up as well after the woman was done. Daichi took a small breath and smiled. “Hi everyone, My name is Daichi Katharos and this will be my second year in the Media Liaison, I look forward working with you Linda” he nodded his head in her direction. It was strange but the moment he had to speak in the open all his little mistakes, habits and blushing would vanish and he stood more firmly in his shoes. Having been a Prefect at school must have had some good impact on him. “A bit about me , let’s see… I worked for a fashion company in between working here and after school . So, obviously I like fashion and ducks…ducks are cute” he grinned and his boyish charm appeared on his face. He sat back down, waiting for someone else to talk. |
finally getting around to posting *hides* It had never happened before, and yet Jemma had chosen that morning to be clingy and refuse to be left at the daycare as she’d usually done. Amethyst had known she couldn’t bring her to her desk, too, not with the meeting scheduled, but she’d also been unable to just leave her daughter until she’d known she’d be alright. As such, the meeting had already started by the time she had gotten to the office and over to the conference room. At least, she assumed it had as she’d silently slipped inside while one of the new employees had been introducing herself, after Delphine had spoken to, as she’d guessed, start things off. This was definitely not the introduction she would have liked, yet it was what she would have to deal with. Although, she wasn’t planning on making certain things known to everyone on the level this early. Not when she didn’t have to, and as she thought about it, which might have been part of what had bothered Jemma that morning too. It wasn’t anything she could change, though. Or, she could, but she didn’t have it in her to do so. That was why she’d never been an auror. Although she didn’t think they would necessarily have it in them to do that either. She remained standing, however as Ms. Manning and another finished speaking. “I apologize for being late,” she began, nodding slightly to acknowledge everyone who was in the room. “My daughter was being stubborn.” Anyway… “I’m Amethyst McCrae. I’m an administration supervisor here…My father was Scottish, yet I was born in France. Prior to coming here, I worked at the American Ministry, as well, in MLE.” Introduction complete, although she could have said a lot more. Instead, she merely took a seat and waited for whoever would speak next. |
Two year old. Throwing spaghetti. Ruining the walls. ”Awh, how cute,” she managed to say, though really she wanted to gag. Ew. Two year olds. Spaghetti thrown through the air. Walls dripping with tomato sauce. It sounded like an absolute nightmare. No wonder Delphine’s face was starting to have wrinkles. And here Tiffany was thinking it had to do with lacking beauty cream. Poor, poor woman. Tiffany felt horrible for her Department Head. Why the heck would a person put up with all that!? ”Do I?” It’s probably because she didn’t have a two year old who threw spaghetti at the walls, but she didn’t say that. ”I hand’t noticed!” She giggled a bit, letting her eyes dart over to Ezra. Ahem. This one was very nervous. Tiffany gave the woman, oh, this Linda a quick look up and down. Eh. Tiffany wasn’t all too impressed. But then again, it did a lot to even get an ‘eh’ out of her. So y’know…. Either way, she was still smiling because even a horrid outfit couldn’t put a damper on Tiffany’s mood today. Which was…. unusual. ”It’s very nice to meet you Linda,” she’d hold out a hand for a shake, but Tiffany hadn’t packed any hand sanitizer today (her Chanel clutch only fit the essentials). Linda looked very nervous and yes, Tiffany noticed. What with all her body language, it was kind of hard not to notice. Not like Tiffany could blame the new employee though. Everyone got nervous when talking to Tiffany Price. It was definitely that kind of effect she had on people. Which might explain why this guy (Daichi) was getting all nervous too. ”Oh! I LOVE moving!” Not the actual moving bit… But the buying lots of new things to fill up a new flat bit. ”Have you finished properly decorating your place?” Those were the real questions. Speaking of real questions. What. What. WHUT? They had been working together for almost a year and this guy didn’t even know her name??? Well okay maybe Tiffany didn’t know his name either, BUT STILL. She was Tiffany Price. Everyone knew her name. It was just a— Okay, she had no room to talk, but there was no way she was going to openly admit to not knowing his name. She’d check by his cubicle later. ”Tiffany, Tiffany Price,” she gave him a smile, but it was definitely laced with a hint of ‘and never forget it’. Ahem. Anyways, tea that she had brought over had hardly been touched since she sat down. Y’know, now that she was sitting next to Ezra… Tiffany hardly let her eyes off him, forget the tea. He was basically the only reason why she was here in the first place. Well okay, he was one of the three reasons why she was here in the first place. 1) She had to show off her outfit because it’d be a waste if she had gotten all dressed up just to stay at home 2) This was her job and if she didn’t show she could get fired (maybe this one was important) and then lastly 3) because she got to see Ezra. Ahem. So even the new girl (Bhuvana) And oh, the Minister. Eh. Whatever. She wasn’t impressed. He was old. Back to Ezra. Ahem. What she meant was, ”Hello, sir, and NOW back to Ezra. Paying attention during this meeting was going to be way harder than she thought…. Which was why she was relived that the meeting had actually begun because she wasn’t quite sure how much longer she could last to be completely honest. Letting a few others go before her, she took the moment to try and think of an interesting fact. What if she didn’t have one!? Well, surely had something more interesting to say than collecting ancient whatevers. Yeah. Definitely. ”I’m Tiffany Price,” she raised her voice slightly so the others could hear. Tiffany Price. But everyone should’ve known that. ”I’m one of the advisors.” Everyone should also know this. And… Uh… Interesting fact? ”You will never see me repeat an outfit,” yes, that was her interesting fact. But she was dead serious. Tiffany Price would never stoop so low as to be an outfit repeater. It was against everything she knows. |
Ezra hadn't taken his eyes off the doorway until the moment a certain someone strode through it, dressed to the nines as always. They followed her as she made her way all the way around the room, a brighter smile taking over his face to match hers. Somebody was in a good mood today. He gave Tiffany a gentle nudge as she He only looked away from her for a moment, but it was for a very important reason in the shape of the Minister of Magic himself, who was graced with a nod and a "Hello, Minister," before Ezra turned back to his |
It all starts hurr ^^ Anyone who knew the Senior Undersecretary would've probably known that she didn't go anywhere without that sashay to her hips, a hum in her tune and a slight bounce in her curly blonde hair. In fact, often times, she could even be heard going from one place to another and it didn't even have anything to do with the kitten heels she was wearing. So, at long last, the woman made it into the Conference Room, levitating a bunch of things as she munched on a chocolate croissant. The coffee pots, tea pots, milk jug, various cups and a basket of bakery items were placed on the middle of the table. Another flick of her wand and the various trays of bakery items were placed onto the table itself. A basket in the middle of the table was rather ugly, let's be honest. And she had a would-be stylist of an employee amongst her midst. Speaking of employees, where were they? Hm? Was she going to have to finish all the food by herself? Though, if she did, that meant she could have more of those chocolate croissants without worrying about being greedy. Again, hm. |
Where was Tiffany Price one may ask? Taking her sweet time. Because she waited on no one, but everyone waited on her. Just how things are. Yes, it's hardly fair, but she doesn't make the rules. They're just coincidentally always made in her favor. Just how things are. Times two. With a click-clack of her heels, she swiftly opened the door to greet her Tiffany looked around the conference room for a moment, quite confused, before looking down at her watch. Wait a minute, she was early? Well that wasn't supposed to happen. Quickly she put on her showy smile, still standing right against the door. Heeeh. "I sure love arriving early," just as much as polar bears loved scorching hot weather. So basically, not at all. "That's why I arrived early because I like to plan my arrivals that way." Heh. .... Drats. |
Did they really have to come to things like this. Leopold knew there would be no parties yet. At least parties he approved of. But meeting and such were so boring. He grouped employee get together under the same category as meetings. He was moving as slowly as possible towards it. Considering he had nothing better to do now. Who knew if he would be early or not. Hopefully not first. Talk about awkward. He made his way to the entrance to the conference room and found it kind of block by a pretty nice view. If he says so himself. Too bad he knew who the backside belonged too. "Move out of the way Price. While i like the view some other might not be so fond of it." He said smirking and moving past her into the conference room. Ah well it looked like it was just her and the Senior Undersecretary. Whatever that meant. Merlin there was a lot of food "I hope all those croissants are not just for you Senior Undersecretary" Now where was the most comfortable seat in this place. He wanted it. |
For once, everything had gone smoothly that morning. Well, aside from someone having slept late and left their glasses behind, but Amethyst felt like it was better to do her own job before she took a trip down to deliver them. She just had to hope he survived until lunch or whenever the first chance she could get away from Level One happened to be. Especially as the first thing on her plate seemed to be a level-wide meeting, which as always piqued her curiosity. There had been the orientation to learn about the new employees, but things were always different once they were in the Ministry proper. Either way, she had stopped by her desk to drop off her things before she had headed to the conference room. Whether she was first to arrive or last hadn’t even occurred to her, although she hadn’t seen many others up on their floor as she had arrived. It either meant she was early or everyone was already in the conference room. It appeared to be the former when she arrived at the doorway, however, smiling a little at the teasing going on. She knew that Tiffany’s insistence that she’d meant to be early was an act, by now. She wasn’t about to point that out. “Good morning everyone,” she said instead, slipping inside and choosing a seat at the table. |
Still standing in front of the door, she didn't expect anyone to be arriving anytime soon. Especially not Leopald, assuming the boy would stumble in half an hour late after having a late night full of parties. She'd guess. But of course she was wrong because he was the one to walk in next. And to make her face turn a bright shade of pink. "Hmph!" she let out a high-pitched response as she moved towards one of the seats in a very hasty manner. She would SO NOT be made a fool. Especially by him. Noting Amethyst's arrival, Tiffany gave her collegue a polite-yetforged-smile in return. She'd just sit here all bitterly until they got this show on the road. Hmph. Fools, all of them. She deserved so much better than this. Bet no one on level three had to deal with this kind of immaturity. |
Walking in from the lobby is a guy wearing a full muggle suit. He is looking dapper by every walk. He looked around, his expression is of a happy disposition but he is not smiling. But you can see it in his gait and posture that something has changed. He is wearing nicer clothes and his skin looked more tan than usual. After a year of sabbatical back in Australia where he grew up, he is glad to still have his job as the Junior Undersecretary. Everyone can see that he is holding a basket covered by a clothe. He is holding it with care. He looked around and smiled when he saw the Senior Undersecretary seating in one of the chairs near the head of the table. He approached her and handed the basket. "Good day to you, Madam Undersecretary." he said with a smile. "Its good to be back again" he said. The year-long journey that he had is beneficial to both the Ministry and to himself. And he didn't find it like an absence because he always have correspondence coming from the Ministry day-in and day-out while he is away. He then placed the basket of freshly-baked cookies on the table in-front of his boss. and took a seat next to her. |
Delphine had heard the first person to arrive before they actually stepped into the room. How? Those heels. Her own were tiny and hardly worn but this woman who was arriving was the kind to be rather seen dead than in an outfit that made her look hideous. So, when she arrived, the woman let an amused smile cross her face. "Miss PrIIIIIIce!" she called in a sing-song voice, "Come in, come in. Nice to see you here so early and dedicated to your work." Did she know that she had the first pick - after Delphine - on the food? Yes? Before the woman could ask, someone else had arrived in all their perverted glory. Oh Merlin, was she going to have to put up a rule about flirting in the office? "Mr Quackenboss," she said, giving him a nod, "No, of coUUUUrse not! Otherwise I'm going to balloon up to the size of a whale." Which would make her even less than cool. "Help yourseeeelf!" She gestured towards the plates of food all the while watching him. Mmmmmmhm, she remembered that application of his. Ah, if it wasn't another familiar face. The sight of one Amethyst McCrae coming in made the woman perk up. "Ms McCrAAAAEEEE! How lovely to see you. I take it your little one is good?" They really needed to arrange more playdates, even if her little boy insisted on playing with older kids. "Oh! And Miss McCrae? Care to make a few notes on the meeting for me, please? Have the notes ready for me by the end of the day." She would've gotten her scribes to do so but since they weren't here........... Oh, SWOON, she was being handed a gift. Now this was the kind of meeting she liked! Delphine let out the tiniest of squeaks as the basket was placed down in front of her before looking over at the Junior Undersecretary. "Mr Macmillaaaaan! Welcome welcome, it's so good to have you back again. I take it you had a nice trip?" If his tan was anything to go by, at least. It was his holiday and she wasn't one to judge but she felt a small pang of jealousy that he was somewhere warm and sunny and she was stuck here. ............... She loved her job. When it looked as though no one else was coming, the woman stood up and smiled around at them all. "Welcome one, welcome all to another year at the Ministry." Because she hadn't gotten the chance to say that overall yet. "Help yourself to whatever you want on the table." Apart from her basket that Mr Macmillan had given to her. Ahem. "Okay, before we get into the main gist of the meeting, I want to mention something to all of you: I'm planning on opening up another room for us. It's not a work room but it's going to be a team building room. A room where we can learn to build up this team so that we're not constantly sitting behind our tables with no clue as to who our neighbours are. If you want to take part, let me know, because for the first task, I'm going to pair each and every one of you up with someone else in the department for this activity." Was that a mad glint in her eyes? "OkAAAAAY! So the first point of business is............. an eveeeeent! The Magical Games and Sports and the International Corporation Departments are hosting a Youth Quidditch event, as you've probably already heard before. It's going to run during the sunny summer weeks and I want all of you to be hands-on-deck. Be there, see into and out of both departments and help out as much as possible. That goes for the Event Coordinators especially," Eyes on you, Mr Quackenboss. "While it's completely their event, they're going to need someone to help run things smoothly. And who better than people whose job it is to make sure events get started up and run smoothly?" Who better, indeed. "With that being said, there's going to be quite a few media representatives there as well. You know how the media folk are. SO! Media Liaisons: make sure that they stay in line, okay? There are going to be youths at this event and we're not going to tolerate any misbehaviour of any kind." Which might have been her motherly side talking. "The rest of you: just help out as much as possible in any way you see fit. Go into the departments for regular check-ins and report back to me with your findings." DEEEEEEEEP breaths. "Any questions? Concerns? Comments?" OOC: That was sooooo much information oh gosh! Sorry! If you're late and still want to jump in, just pretend you've been here all along ^^ AND AND AND! Let me know about the team building exercise if you haven't done so already. |
Totally not late ok Despite the young dude being lanky and noodley, he seemed to have perfectly camouflaged in the sea of his new enthusiastic coworkers.
