Tragic, yet funny, because Hunter had played some Quidditch in school and enjoyed flying. But she didn't enjoy the rolling coaster.

This was a lot like that ride, and while Hunter was tempted to throw up her hands and scream... she was very mature and restrained. Grown up witches don't throw their hands up in the air and scream on the Gringott's cart. When it stopped, however, Hunter had to pry her white-knuckled fingers from the bar.

It was a short 45 minute ride down to the vaults. Sturnik was thinking of the lunch awaiting him. And it gave him a chuckle as the cart came to a stop the woman had to pry her hands from the bars. Honestly, they made too much of the cart rides. It was the one bright spot in his day.

He took her key and waddled over to the door. He placed his long fingers against the door and it melted away. He stood back and swept his hands back indicating she could enter and conduct her business.

"Thank you," Hunter lowered her head and tried not to appear all too embarrassed about her negative reaction to the ride down. It wasn't her FAULT. Inner ear disorder or something.

She slipped through the open doorway, admiring the wrought metalwork and the hewn stone. Her stack of money was sad. So sad. Tolliver might be stealing it to pay for his sock habit. Hunter dropped the new stack of coins from her purse onto the meager pile and returned to the cart and the waiting Sturnik.

"All set."

He hid a very goblin smile as the lady looked quite ruffled by her reaction on to the cart. He leaned against the slick wall of the vault as she conducted her business. Thoughts of his doxy egg sandwich keeping him company.

He grunted when she appeared to be done with her business. With the practiced air of a goblin that had been working at Gringotts since its founding he had her vault locked up and secured and he was climbing into the cart in a manner of seconds. The cart was moving before he really got himself seated. He gave an excited grunt and sat down for the short ride back to the surface.

It was always a shorter trip on the way back and soon they were pulling up to the bottom of the staircase. He scrambled out of the cart and stepped back to give the witch some room to climb out. She seemed to be taller than the average witch who stumbled into the bank.

Yes, she didn't want to yield a wand, she did have magic and it wasn't as the lack of a wand lessened it. "I take no offense at all, Miss Fonseka." she smiled. "It was a good question and I hoped I answered your question."

Quazi liked this witch, she was polite and polite witches made for pleasant trips. Double checking to that both of them were securely in, the cart began to move down its track toward the first level of vaults.

Arjuna smiled at Quazi, relieved that she wasn't immediately thrown out of the cart and left to fend for herself. "Hmm...so it's a matter of wanting what we cannot have..." Arjuna said this more to herself than the goblin. "I can understand that...I've felt that emotion myself. Arjuna grinned at the goblin, the strands of a story idea forming in her mind. She should really pitch this idea to one of the reporters. "I suppose it is quite interesting...wandlore. But I find it very complicated. Oh! Yes, thank you. You have given me a very good answer."

As the cart began to move, however, Arjuna shut her mouth. She gripped the sides of the cart, hoping Quazi wouldn't notice-it wasn't a very elegant action. The wind whipped her face as they went deeper into the ground but Arjuna couldn't close her eyes. If only they weren't moving so fast! The pictures she could take! She grinned as they past a lake of stalactites imagining the high definition shots she could take.

The cart began to slow down and almost immediately, Arjuna began to feel dizzy. The change of speed wasn't helping her. Arjuna closed her eyes and leaned back in the cart, breathing deeply. She imagined she probably looked a little gray at the moment, but she didn't care. The priority here was avoiding vomiting on the nice goblin that had brought her down here.

Quazi smiled at the thought that her answer was a good one. "Wands are, in my option, just an extension of one's own magic." she added. Never had there been a day when she had wanted to yield one, but it wasn't true that others amongst her kind that did want to yield them. "I tend to see all kinds of wands in my field and I can appreciate them for their beauty. Great workmanship is a thing to be admired." Just as goblins made things of beauty, wizards and witches were very capable of doing so as well.

Settling back, Quazi allowed her eyes to rest. The journey to the vault wouldn't be but a few moments, but it was nice to her eyes all the same. Thirty minutes was just enough of a rest for the goblin.

The cart continued on its route down the dark track, dipping and turning occasionally. Rounding a corner, the cart entered a series of hills and turns before dropping slightly, the 100's left behind, the cart continues on as it slowed down. The 200's were just coming into view.

As their journey approached thirty minutes, the cart stopped completely. This caused Quazi to look up and reach for the lantern. Hopping to her feet, she stepped out of the cart and made her way toward the vault. Fishing around for the key, she pulled it from its temporary home and placed it into the door, turning it.

Silently, the first set of locks began to unlock as the mechanisms within the door began to take action. Just under her breath, Quazi said recited something as she made the final turn and stepped back. The door slowly began to swing open.

Standing beside the vault, Quazi motioned inside. "Vault 213, Miss Fonseka."

Obi-Wan K'Lari 08-08-2010 11:19 PM

Arjuna nodded in reply to the goblin. "Yes, one can say that. Wands...how you say? Ah, focus? Channel? Wands channel magic. I believe they have magical properties of their own." Not that she was any expert on wandlore, but Arjuna knew a little by observing her own wand's behavior. Great workmanship is right-after all Miss Quazi would know. Goblin's are incredible smiths-not only in terms of beauty, but also magical strength. "You are right." Arjuna bowed slightly to the goblin.

Arjuna's ride was not comfortable, however, it was not horrible either. She looked on in wonder at the hills that passed her. How could there be such things so deep underground? She noticed that their seemed to be a gap in the vaults and was tempted to stick her head out of the cart but thought better of it. For one thing she couldn't move outside the slip-stream of the cart. So she sat mostly quietly for the rest of the journey.

Arjuna did not move immediately after Quazi got out of the cart. She took a few more stabilizing breaths and slowly opened her eyes. Looking around, she spotted the orb of light from the lantern and Quazi standing in front of a vault. Shaking ever so slightly, Arjuna clambered out of the cart and to the entrance of the vault. "Thank you, Miss Quazi."

Having hyperventilated enough to feel better, Arjuna looked around the vault, surprised at the space that she had been given. Rather embarrassed, she pulled out the pouch full of money she was to deposit and peeked into it. Pulling out a few golden coins, Arjuna threw them into a corner of the vault and tipped the rest onto the floor at her feet. She fished out some bronze Knuts from the silver and dropped them in the corner nearest the door. She looked around again, then pulled out her camera. She snapped a few pictures, intending them to remain only in her possession-the small pile of Sickles was rather embarrassing-as a reminder of her first deposit. They were picturesque in their own way. Looking inside her purse, she double-checked that she had enough money to survive on while she was out and around, and exited the vault.

Still holding her camera, and now reunited with her senses, Arjuna smiled at Quazi. "I am a photographer with the Daily Prophet," she said to the goblin. "What you have told me today...I think should be heard by everyone. Will you allow me to pass on some of the things you have said to one of my coworkers? I will be very grateful." Arjuna gave the goblin another little bow and lifted her camera higher. "And a picture of course, Miss Quazi! If not for the Prophet, for me." Here she smiled again. Quazi really was a nice goblin.

Having climbed into the cart with the Erik and the goblin, she threads her fingers through Erik's. Jumpy but doing ok so far, she watches as the cart flies past different vaults heading down the short track toward her new vault.

She felt a lot safer knowing Erik was quite close. If he hadn't offered to be in their little group or if the goblin refused, she didn't know what she would have done.

Erik climbed into the cart after Kenzie and sat down beside her. Feeling her fingers in his he smiled at her and squeezed her fingers tightly. He couldn't help but wonder if she would be scared on the trip down to his vault.

Looking around as the cart sped by he leaned back and into Kenzie relaxing a bit as he enjoyed the ride. He raised an eyebrow as he saw how short the ride was. He didn't expect it to be that short.

The cart slowed to a stop and Sturnik climbed out first and motioned for the witch to get out. "Your vault." He waddled forward to her vault. He put her key in the lock and placed his hand on the door and it melted away. He stepped back for her to do whatever it was she needed to do.

Unthreading her fingers from Erik's she climbs out of the cart. Nodding she walks through the door, and takes out her pouch.

Separating the small amount of galleons, sickles and knuts into different piles, she places her little pouch back into her bag. Stepping back out, she turns to the goblin before climbing back into the cart.

"Thank you." she says sincerely. Climbing into the cart with Erik, she sits down once again. Taking a deep breath she lets it out slowly. that was easy... she thought, wondering what she'd been so nervous about.

Erik watched as the goblin got out of the cart and debating whether he was supposed to or not he watched as Kenzie removed her hand from his and got out of the cart as well. Oh well more room for him which he utilized by stretching his long limbs out.

And then just as fast she was back and he was cramped up again. He placed his arm around her and looked at her curiously, "Are ye alright?" If that scared her or something she better hold on tight. "Now when we get ta mah vault need ye ta promise me ye won't touch anythin' before ye ask if it's alright first, coins obviously the exception but I've got certain...things in there," he said to her in a whisper.

Nodding she smiles at him "I'm fine." Relaxing a bit more, now that she knew it really wasn't that bad, it didn't take long at all.

Turning curiously to look at him, she wouldn't have thought to touch anything anyway, really "Yes, of course." she whispered back. Snuggling into the crook of his arm that was around her, she waits for the goblin to finish what he was doing.

Her curiosity was wakened though, she wondered what sort of things she'd see. It fascinated her really.

He twirled his long finger around the hair sticking out of his ear as he waited for the witch to do her business. It didn't take her long and he was caught off guard when she turned around and headed back to the cart. Hmmm, much be one of those starving candy makers, he thought to himself with a self satisfied grin. He turned the key that had been floating in mid air and the door reappeared. He waddled back over to the cart and climbed aboard. Now it was another 3 hours to get to the wizards vault.

Thrilling. Ian stepped into the cart. He tugged on his blazer as he adjusted his bottom on the metal contraption. Hoshino thought Gringott's could use with some cushioning in their carts. After all, hours of sitting down on hard metal made it a painful ride. Not that the company wasn't pleasant enough to make you forget all about how uncomfortable the entire situation was.

Right.

"Good thing I'm using my lunch break for work duties," he retorted in a mumble and grasped the sides of the cart until his knuckles went white.

Sturnik settled into the cart for the long ride. Might as well catch up on his sleep. He would get a nice 4 hour nap out of the deal. The goblin looked at the wizard as he grumbled about the ride. He thought it best not to say anything least he was tempted to push the little man overboard, but seeing how uneasy he was in the cart gave him a little flash of joy. "Good thing," he answered back as the cart kept twisting and turning and plummeting deeper into the earth.

Ugh, the horrible carts. Eliza followed the goblin and stepped into one of them after he did, hoping it was not a particularly long ride. Else she might throw up... all over Mr. Goblin man. BUAHAHAHA.

Settling into the extremely uncomfortable seat, she turned to face the goblin/driver person-thing. 'You should really get cushions in these' she told him, trying to find the most comfortable position in which to sit.

Quazii looked into the vault and observed the young witch. It did amuse her so the reactions that they had to their vaults. Humans ever after-all rather fascinating at time. Bouncing on her heals a bit, she leaned back out and took some peace from just standing there. The journey wasn't all that terrible, but it was nice to just stand for a bit. The sound of the vaults were a welcoming sound to her and she did like the time she did get to spend in them.

Looking back toward the vault, Quazi noticed Miss Fonseka before her. "Quazi doesn't mind at all, it's just my own view and not Gringotts, but you may share if you want." she replied with a smile. It was rare that a witch would be that interesting in what she thought, but if she wanted to tell others of what she said, Quazi was fine with that. taking notice od the camera, she nodded. "I am not all that photogenic, but I will grant you a picture, Miss Fonseka." she added. Again it was strange of a request, but it was her job to please the customers now.

Allow the witch to fully exit the vault and get to a safe distance, Quazi processed to start to secure the vault once again. Running her finger over the vault, sounds within the vault again began to click. With a final, rather loud click, the vault was secure again and Quazi turned. "Would you like the picture now or would the main hall be a better place? We still have to sign the ledger before we are done."

Leah followed Trixie quietly to the carts, this was her first time in the bank without her mother. She carefully climbed into the cart and waited for them to get going, completely at ease about the roller-coaster like ride ahead.

Her head laying on Erik's shoulder during the 3 hour trip back up from his vault, she yawns. The jolts and bumps keeping her from really dozing off, she still enjoys the feeling of his arm around her.

Katrina sat in the cart, not knowing what to do really. The cart jetted off, and she waited for the cart to come to a stop. When it did, she climbed out of it, it was a bit cramped in it, even though she wasn't too tall to begin with. Eh... maybe they needed plushed carts, that would be nice.

Kaos.Doodles 08-17-2010 03:23 AM

Legend had made sure to tuck his wand back in his pocket before taking a seat in the cart right after Kayla. It was small and definitely not comfortable. As soon as he had sat down the cart sped off launching his body forward because of the intense speed. He really didn't know how long he could last in this cart.

Kat<3DobbyandFred 08-17-2010 11:31 AM

Eliza followed the Goblin called Tarog into the cart, with her father close behind. She felt amazed as she looked around and the carts reminded her of a roller coaster. I wonder where these will take us she though to herself, she had guessed that they took them to the vaults, but were they really under the ground? Yes was the answer she knew but wasn't sure whether she believed it or not.

Riley followed Kayla to the cart..It's rather small and not very comfy either..As soon he sat down, the cart started to move quickly..It feels like riding on of the muggle thing..'What's they called it??Oh yeah..Rolled Coaster' he thought

Lila nodded and followed closely behind. She was filled with wonder about what her new vault would look and smell like.

Arjuna realized with a smile that she had disturbed the goblin a little. But that thought escaped her as she was granted permission to pass Quazi's quotes on to a reporter. "Oh, thank you very much, Miss Quazi. And of course I'll be sure to stress that it is your own personal view," she said, nodding to affirm her statement. She stepped out of the vault and closer towards the cart, knowing that the vault needed to be closed.

Arjuna grinned at the photogenic comment but shook her head. "Oh no, I quite disagree! I thank you." Arjuna thought for a minute before slipping her camera into her purse again. "You are right. I'm sure the exposure is better in the Main Hall. Thank you again!" She seemed to be saying that a lot lately.
