For Lauren/Emmeline

Gaston had some time to himself today. Rose had gone shopping with her friends, and there was only so much staying cooped up in the house that he could take. Now seemed like a good time for a trip to Diagon Alley! The dark-haired Frenchman mumbled to himself as he made a mental not of all the places he needed to go today. He had to pick up the dress robes he'd ordered from Madam Malkin's, then go to Sugarplum's to replenish his candy stash. And he should probably stop in Flourish & Blotts while he was here. He needed a new journal, and it couldn't hurt to see if they had any new romance novels while he was there.

But first, ice cream! He was starving! He made a beeline for Florean's and ordered a couple of scoops of double fudge brownie in a chocolate bowl. Bright blue eyes scanned the courtyard area and eventually landed on a vacant table at the far side. He smiled a little to himself. This way he could people-watch. He wondered what his students were doing now; he never stopped thinking about them, even when school wasn't in session. There was one in particular he was worried about... He sighed, shaking his head to clear the memory of thatconversation. If he thought about it too long, it would make him angry, and there was too much going on in his life for him to be that angry right now!

Xavvie was also glad that her father hadn't locked her away all summer long, that definitely wouldn't be a very fun time. Besides, she knew how to pick locks... "Dad, this is Cam." Of course, she was polite too, "Cam, this is my dad." Now dad, be nice and don't scare off her friend for his unfortunate gender. Please.

She grinned at Cam, happy to see that he was offering a handshake. Evander Bole appreciated manners, she knew that, so maybe this would break the ice a little bit.

They could get ice cream now, right?

Evander took the kid's hand and shook it. Maybe squeezed it quite hard. "Hello, Cam."

It was only going to get worse, wasn't it? Also? He was staying. So he sat himself down. YEAH.

STAYING for ice cream.

Ouch.

Cameron might have winced a liiiiittle bit, not expecting quite SUCH a firm handshake. Not that he suspected that the man had done it on purpose. He was just a big strong man, right? Yes. "It's short for Cameron." He added with a smile, casually taking his hand back. "Nice to meet you, Mr Bole."

Ice cream now though, yes?

He looked back over at Xavvie, offering a smile. "Do you want to go get ice cream?" They could bring some back for Mr Bole?

Ah so his were a little older. That was interesting. He must have older siblings. Isley nodded listening to him, "That's great. Teenagers are fun." She said with a knowing grin. "Yeah...It can be difficult, but she doesn't even know who I am...I have only seen pictures of her that my brother has brought to me." She paused with a sad smile, "But it's okay. I have accepted the fact that my parents and sister will never approve of me. I have never even met my sister's husband. But...I forgive them. It's all I can do." She looked down for a moment, pushing a strand of hair out of her eyes.

Isley sat down across from him as he spoke about his travels. "Oh, you must get off this bloody Island." She said excitedly, patting her hand on his arm in excitement. "You absolutely have to see France and Italy. They have....the most intricately beautiful foods I have ever laid eyes on." There were so many other places she could think of that she knew everyone on the planet would love but those two were tops for her. Isley grinned when he introduced himself. "Oh, I know who you are." She smirked, without giving him any inkling on who she was.

Kalen found himself grinning back at the women and he wasn't even sure why, perhaps it was her infectious smile or the fact that he felt he knew her from somewhere.. or those beautiful blue eyes..

"They can be pretty fun, and sometimes confusing as all get out, but Azura and Leon are good kids. " He wanted to hang out sigh both of them as much as he could, seeing as Leon would be going back to the Ministry and Azura would be going to France.

"Sometimes that is all we can do. I do apologize for their actions though, such thinking is so backwards.." He wished he could apologize on behalf of all purebloods but sadly that wasn't a thing he could do.

He smiled as she sat down across from him and the put her hand on his arm! He looked down at it for a moment, it had been awhile since a pretty woman had touched his arm.. And he kinda liked the feeling of it. "Well my niece lives in France so I'll probably be able to go there and visit at times, Italy.. hmmm I'll have to put it on the list. " He said with a smile as his green eyes went wide as he spoke..

"You.. know who I am? " Than how the heck did he not know who she was?

Isley listened with a small smile on her face. Just hearing him talk to her made her happy. All she ever really heard from him was a quick Hello or How are you when they were at Hogwarts together. But he was older and in a different house so it didn't surprise her much.

"I am sure they can be both at the same time even, teenage angst and all." She smiled, "They sound great. You must have been pretty young when they were born if they are that old already." Isley couldn't remember his siblings so they had to have been older than him.

Isley sighed into a smile, "Ah, nothing for you to apologize for. As I said, I have come to terms with my muggle family. Though it can be difficult and lonely. All I can hope for is that...they see the light." With a flick of her wand, the chairs at the table she was sitting at straightened themselves so that it would look more presentable. "Hopefully one day they will realize that magic is a wonderful thing." She grinned.

"Oh, good! I am sure she will want to take you all over. It's absolutely lovely. And you better add Italy to the list because you would be majorly losing out if you didn't." She paused for a moment, "OH! Greece too! Especially Santorini. It's lovely there. Not just because of the food...but it's just beautiful." Oh, how she wished she could go back.

"That I do." She grinned and leaned forward, "The question is do you know who I am?" Her grin turned into a huge smile.

Despite her dad trying to crush Cam's hand, Xavvie smiled brightly. She was determined to get her dad used to her having friends who were boys, there was nothing wrong with that, of course. "Yes!" She looked at her father as he sat down. "Do you want ice cream, too?" She couldn't tell if he was too focused on everything else to focus on making sure the ice cream wasn't poisoned or something.

On second thought. "I'll bring you something!" She decided it was better not to let her dad make that choice because he might decide to go with them and that would be a little bit smothering. She gave her father another bright grin and hurried off, hoping Cam would take note and follow quickly.

Ice cream was waiting!

So she was wondering down to Floreans, thinking about what she wanted to have. She liked ice cream, but she wasn't the best at making decisions. But she wanted to have something yummy.

She got a bit distracted though, spotting some of her friends. The blonde beamed, and headed over to where her two friends were. "Hi!"

So much so, that her parents were thankful that their jobs had taken off so well on this side of the pond, and that she was a fourteen year old girl with a hell of an appetite and absolutely no body image issues. Merlin was prayed to that she stayed that way. Of course, in Felicity's eyes, she was just normal, and ate a normal amount of ice cream. Usually, while she waited for Dad #2's meetings of the day to be over: at first, she'd thought helping him to plan weddings and birthdays and graduation parties and the like would be fun. But it was not.

Not in the slightest. Today she was absolutely over the moon when she spotted three familiar faces around a table, when she emerged from the shop with her cone. With a massive grin, she hurried over to them, and slipped into a seat. "Hey, gals."

They had some catching up to do now that everyone was free from the castle and the brunette hoped she'd be hearing about adventures had or being planned. Her own summer had been nice so far, though she was looking forward to more time spent with Samuel, and on the Quidditch pitch.

"So, what's everyone been up to?" Eyebrows were raised and then she settled back and took a bite of her ice cream. Perfectly pink and delicious, it was.

Vivian was still very much debating on what she should buy when her train of thought and decision was interrupted by definitely not an unfamiliar voice. The Slytherin beamed as Sky came to join her. It wasn't like she didn't expect her dormie to be here. "I... uhm... I dunno what flavour I wanna get." That was the simplest way to put her thoughts into words. "What did you get?" Or perhaps Sky had a suggestion.

And then they were both joined by Hattie! Vivian had known her through Sky, so her presence wasn't unwelcomed at all. "Hey, Hattie! Come and sit!" Vivian greeted her with finger wiggles. Had she not chosen her ice cream flavour, too? That made both of them, then!

Then Liss arrived! Seemed very much like a tiny fifth year squad reunion. After all, fifth year was indeed a huge step in any witch's life. OWLs were drawing near and they just needed to perhaps celebrate for reaching that far, yeah? "Liss, hiiii!" Honestly, the number of people on this table was making Vivian excited. She loved having her friends around, did they know?

Oh, Junia! The other Slytherin got finger wiggles as she came to join as well. But she definitely had chosen her ice cream flavour, and Vivian was sure that was strawberry, one of this blonde's usuals. Now, she was definitely considering the lighter flavours, as what Junia said. "Suggestion has been considered," the Slytherin said with a beam. But she still didn't have any final decision yet. One she would have to make... later. This blonde was very much open to recommendations at the moment! She wasn't always this indecisive.

Summer? Yes, indeed! Vivian wanted to learn about their summers so far. The summer before OWLs year was crucial, too, like it was the year for them. Perhaps now it wasn't bothering Vivian, but give it a few more months and she'd be doing cartwheels in their dorm room out of anxiety. "I watched Quidditch matches!" Thanks to having a professional Quidditch player for an aunt, and one of her dorm mates as a U-17 beater. Loads of fun to watch! "And getting some piano lessons from my auntie." Those were mostly the highlights of her summer, plus meeting up with Andrei... but she was going to purposely leave that detail out unless someone asked. "How about you, guuuys?" For sure they had awesome stories to tell!

It wasn't long at all before it wasn't simply herself and Vivian at the table, but they were quickly joined by Hattie, Felicity and Junia. Naturally, because the class of 2096 was a tight group and quite awesome, if Skylar did care to admit herself. Well, at least the fifth year witches; she liked Kirk well enough, but apparently he was too busy to noticed the other fifth years gathering ... probably was with Mel.

Beaming when they didn't even have to ask but just joined them, she was glad too that Felicity was feeling so very comfortable with them. And Junia was the only one, ironically, who had decided to get her ice cream before sitting down. Which of course made Sky feel bad, because how was she meant to get up to get her ice cream now that everyone was here? If only tableside service was a thing at Floreans ...

"Heyyyyy!!" She greeted her favorite girls, before looking at Vivian. "I told you. One of each. Or just go for the green one, cause Slytherin represent and all," she giggled. "I haven't actually ordered yet." Oops? She was just playing bad influence over here, by contributing to overeating on ice cream, as if there was even such a thing.

"Just playing quidditch. I finally bought my very own beater's bat, so now I don't have to borrow one! BUT I don't know what to name it...Maybe Havijunlisky?" she frowned, but smiled at that random idea that popped into her head. Would any of them pick up on its cleverness? . "And then, playing with my niffler, who well, I'm glad I didn't get seeker, because practicing with a golden snitch with a niffler around," Skylar rolled her eyes. "And of course hanging out with ..." She fell silent, realizing she didn't want to make Liss, Hattie, or Vivi feel bad. "I'm trying to sort out our study schedules for next year too. We gotta keep organized so we don't fall behind." They didn't mind, right? Because surely they wanted good marks just as much as she did...

While Cameron wasn't entirely sure WHY, Mr Bole was definitely in a bad mood about something. So there was no way he was staying behind while Xavvie got ice cream. Plus, he'd come here to spend time with her. Not her father. He'd understand.

Yeah?

Offering the man another polite smile, Cameron quickly followed his friend, walking next to her. "What are you getting?" Also was her father always like this? So...quiet. And cold. It wasn't for him to judge really but he was wondering. In silence.

He pulled his attention from those thoughts and focuses back on her.

"I hope they do see the light sometimes. " He said with a warm smile as he looked over at the table she fixed up with a flick of her wand, he grinned back at her. He chuckled softly as she spoke.. "Well, I'll add those to the list, not sure I'll get to them though, I'll have to find someone to go with me. " He didn't want to visit all these exotic places by himself! Maybe Triscuit? Get him out of the country and away from Rose? That might do him some good, yeah?

Huh.. so she knew who he was? They must have gone to school together, that was the only thing the librarian could deduce..

"I'm afraid I don't.. can I have a hint? " He asked with a charming smile.

Summer was turning out to be so much fun! Emmeline had been shocked, really, to see how much she liked living with Cami after she and James had been caught earlier in the summer. She'd gone to zoos (which she was kind of conflicted about), shopping, and all sorts of stuff! She even got to watch Muggle shows on the televisoren, or whatever that metal Muggle box was called.

Today, Cami had gone out to go shopping in Diagon Alley with all of her girl professor friends, and Emmeline had some time to herself. Sort of. She maaaay have said she'd stay in view of whatever shop the professors were going to, but that would be SUPER boring. She figured as long as she was outside somewhere, that would be good enough.

The twelve-year-old was wandering around DA with no particular shop in mind when she caught sight of Florean Fortescue's. ICE CREAM!!! Emmeline darted into the shop and spent 5 million years in line before she got a huuuuge cone of mint chocolate chip ice cream. And she didn't even have to steal it, 'cause she had pocket money! Stealing had been one of the few downsides of life on the road with James.

Emmeline bounced carefully out of the shop, occasionally letting the purple fluff ball on her shoulder lick up some ice cream from her big cone too. "Not too much, Luna, you'll get a tummy ache," she reminded the pygmy puff gently as she scanned the OUTSIDE seating area for a free spot. It didn't take long for the soon-to-be second year to spot her Charms teacher and Head of House, Professor Marchand, sitting allll by himself. She frowned a little bit at the sight, 'cause he looked all sad and alone over there by himself. Emmeline paused for a few seconds of indecision -- was it weird to go up to professors outside of school? -- before she headed over, plopped down in the seat across from him and chirped, "Hiii Professor Marchand! Are you having a good summer?" Luna gave a small pygmy puff sound in greeting too, which Emmeline was super impressed by 'cause Luna was shy. The twelve-year-old focused on her ice cream for a few seconds before staring looking up at the professor curiously.

Isley listened intently. Despite having a massive crush on him while they were at Hogwarts together, she really didn't know all that much about him. So it was nice to talk to him this way...even if he had no clue who she was at the moment. "All boys! That must have been fun," she said with a chuckle, "At least you are spread out pretty good. My sister is 35, I am 32, and my baby brother is 28." She thought for a moment, "Oh gosh, my niece isn't 2 she is 4. What was I thinking." She put a palm to her forehead and shook her head. She looked up grinning. "I guess you can't keep track of ages when you don't see them." She felt silly for forgetting, but at least she corrected herself.

"We can only hope." Isley had a secret hope that her niece would turn out to be magical as well. She knew for sure this would make her family speak to her again. They wouldn't know what to do, and her parents worshiped the child. Isley grinned at his next question, watching as he gracefully cleaned up another table, "Oh, I usually do. Just didn't want to brag." She said with a giggle and a wink. She was actually rather talented at wandless magic.

Hearing him laugh made her smile even more. Seeing him happy was wonderful, especially after he had been through what he went through with Serena. "I would take you any day!" She said with a wink and a grin. She wasn't very good at flirting, so she found being straight forward about things better than playing coy.

She grinned. A hint huh? Hmmm. "Well....let me think. We went to Hogwarts together." She smiled hugely. That was all she would give him at this point.

Gaston allowed his mind to wander to his upcoming wedding plans as he watched people passing by on the street. Lucien's parents had provided the venue, and he was sure Mme. Chevallier could handle the menu on her own. His band was providing the music, under strict orders not to play anything too angsty or use pyrotechnics. He'd booked the honeymoon months ago... so once he'd picked up his dress robes, the only thing he had left to take care of was the rings. Then everything would be perfect! Well, almost... only his mother and father's presence would make it truly perfect, but that wasn't going to happen.

A voice provided a welcome distractions as his thoughts turned sad, and he looked up just in time to see one of his students join him, the very student he'd been worried about, as a matter of fact. He gave the girl a warm smile as she sat down, and the pygmy puff noise made him laugh a little. "Hello, Emmeline," he said. "And hello, Luna." He nodded toward the little purple puffball. Maybe the pygmy puff would let him pet it? "I am, thank you for asking. It's nice to relax for a bit."

"So, how are... things?" he asked, being extra careful with his words so as not to bring up bad memories. His expression darkened slightly. He knew what it was like to experience a parent's disapproval, and it broke his heart to see it happen to one of his students! Granted, his father hadn't actually disowned him, though at this point he wasn't sure it would've been such a bad thing if he had.

Kalen chuckled softly as the woman giggled and gave him a wink, that was just too adorable and for the first time in awhile, Kal found himself rather enchanted with the person across from him. It was weird.. and part of him almost felt like he shouldn't be feeling like this. But then again Serena had been gone for over eight years, so he should feel guilty for feeling like this.

"Well feel free to brag sometimes, it's fun. " He inner Slytherin was coming out as he said that. He liked to brag at times and show off, when the time was right after all.

He grinned at her. "Oh so you'll take me hmm? That's quite a few trips we are planning without me knowing your name. " He said as he reached up and adjusted some of his bangs as he looked over at her..

Though her hint.. So they HAD gone to school together, but.. why couldn't he place her? He didn't think she was a Slytherin, or a Ravenclaw, he knew many people in those houses.. "Were you a Hufflepuff? " He asked curiously..

That comment made her laugh again. "Such a Slytherin thing to say." Another hint of how much she knew about him. She grinned, "But of course you are right. It is quite fun to brag." She smiled brightly.

A sneaky grin flashed across her face. "Very true. But I have a feeling you wont need me to tell you." So vain, this Slytherin playing with his hair. Or was that a nervous tick? She smirked at the thought. "Though I will say...taking trips with me are very fun." She said with an enticing smile.

Ah....he got something right. "Indeed, I was. But not in your year or Tristan's." Another hint. She knew his best friend. She had a feeling if Tristan were here he would know who she was. She was actually quite chummy with him. But it was alright. She liked playing this game with him.

Being nice to creatures in front of her was the fastest way ever to make Emmeline's face light up in a smile. She shot one at the professor as he said hi to Luna, before gently ferrying the pygmy puff from her shoulder to the table with one hand (the other one was too busy clutching her ice cream). Luna didn't waste any time in scampering across the table to bug the professor, either; Emmeline giggled at the sight, 'cause she was preeeeetty sure that Luna was angling for more ice cream from the Charms professor. Her pygmy puff was smart like that.

She nodded all wisely and understandingly when the professor said it was good to relax a bit. She imagined the summer break being for teachers something like how cool it was for her to go to the infant creature nursery after a long day of too much Potions homework or something. Her face fell juuuust a little bit when he asked that super serious question, but she tried to eat some ice cream like as soon as she wasn't looking happy anymore. Professor Marchand was way too sad all the time as it was; she didn't want him to feel any worse.

Once she couldn't really pretend to be eating ice cream anymore, the twelve-year-old plastered a smile on her face and replied honestly: "Cam--Professor Stewart is reallllly, really nice. And she takes me on trips and stuff." That much was true enough; her plan was to gloss over all the bad feelings that she'd had anyway and and her runaway adventures with James at the beginning of the summer. She didn't think a professor would be very impressed by that; she was kinda surprised that he hadn't heard already, though -- she and James Summers were both in his House after all. Maybe they gave teachers a break from "bad news" over the summer too.

It just showed how much he loved her and their baby. But she did feel bad for asking most of the time even if Luc protested that he didn't mind.

Letting her hand drop to her baby bump as the girl kicked around Claudey tugged Luc's hand that was holding onto her left to let him feel too. "She is active today. Imagine when we take her here in years time to buy school supplies for Hogwarts." That'd be another magical moment she'd never forget. Taking another bite of ice cream Claudey blushed "I've actually secretly thought of some names even though we agreed to wait...What do you think about Isabella or Lia?"

When Luc's hand was brought to Claudey's baby bump, it was enough to make him want to tear up. His rigorous Auror training toughened him up to deal with any situations along with his own usual appointments.. but becoming a father was a completely different lane. Would he be a good father? What could he do to make sure she had the perfect line? Many questions that had a wait and see answer to. He was scared but also excited and confident that he'll leap boundaries for his little family.

His eyes turned glassy as his grin widened from feeling her move. "She really is.." He only removed his hand to take another bite of the ice cream as he heard from Claudette that he wasn't the only one reconsidering the timing on naming her. "Yeah? Those are beautiful names, especially Lia.. Lia Auditore." Then an idea popped in, "You know, if we make her middle name Isabella her initials will spell out her first name, Lia Isabella Auditore. Perfect." It really was.

Okay, now he was intrigued, she was a Hufflepuff, but she wasn't in his year or Tris's which meant she wasn't older than him or the same age, which helped things out a bit, also she didn't seem to know Skye that well, seeing as his younger brother was a Hufflepuff. So that placed her either in the year below him, or the year below that.

Hmmm..

Kalen looked up at the woman for a moment, studying her face, and those eyes.. Wait..

Those eyes.

Holy Mother of Merlin's socks!

"Isley!" He said with a half laugh, half stunned choke! He remembered literally running into her when he was a seventh year and those stunning blue orbs shining up at him as he apologized..

"Merlin, I'm an idiot!"

Yeah?

Offering the man another polite smile, Cameron quickly followed his friend, walking next to her. "What are you getting?" Also was her father always like this? So...quiet. And cold. It wasn't for him to judge really but he was wondering. In silence.

What was she getting? That was a good question, actually. "Well, I was thinking about my usual favorite, Cookies and Cauldrons? But maybe I'll try something new today." She had been out for ice cream quite a few times over the summer so maybe it was time to change it up a bit, or maybe the tried and true was better?

She wasn't sure yet.

"What are you getting?" Xavvie looked over to her friend and then took a quick peek back to where they had left her dad, he hadn't blown anything up, so that was always a good sign.

She chuckled along with him as he finally figured it out. "It took you long enough. I didn't expect you to actually remember me, though." Mostly because she didn't think he had noticed she existed at all outside of that incident where he slammed into her making the books and papers in her arms fly all over the hallway. It surprised her when he actually remembered her name.

The only people that did were her friends in her year.

Seeing Emmeline light up like that made Gaston smile. That girl deserved all the happiness she could find, especially after what she'd gone through the past year! And it seemed she wasn't the only one who was happy! The pygmy puff scampering across the table made him laugh out loud, though he was slightly surprised the little furball had taken to him so quickly. "It's nice to see you too," he said, petting the creature on the head. Pygmy puffs were funny! He wished he could have one, but Phantom would probably attack it. He blocked his ice cream bowl with his free arm, just in case. He liked animals, but he didn't necessarily want to eat after one.

His blue eyes darted back to the girl, and he noticed Emmeline's face fall when he asked how things were going. His own expression darkened slightly. Great job, Gaston, he inwardly berated himself. Now you've made her sad! He sighed quietly and took a few bites of his ice cream, keeping a watchful eye on Luna all the while, as he waited for her to speak. "Good," he replied. "I'm so glad things are going better for you!" He smiled a little, giving her a look that was half skeptical, half sympathetic. Her smile looked a bit forced, and he knew for a fact that she wasn't telling him the whole story. He'd heard about her and Mr. Summers's escapades through the grapevine after the fact, though he wasn't sure if that was a good or bad thing. He would've turned the entire country upside-down to find them if he'd known at the time!

A sudden wave of guilt crashed over him. If he'd done a better job keeping the promise he made to Emmeline last year, maybe she wouldn't have run away! He shook his head against the bad feelings, forcing himself not to let the smile he wore fall. He didn't want to upset her! "So what's your favorite place she's taken you?" he asked, trying to focus on the positive.

Could Van see inside from where he was sitting? Not as well as he'd like. So he'd just... stand up.... and stretch his legs. Yeah. That was it. And if he happened to be able to see through the window then.... well he just happened to be able to see through the window.

Ahem.

Isley grinned watching his nervous ticks. He used to do those in high school too, especially when he was around Serena. "Too true." She said with a chuckle. How could she not remember her school crush? Who she might still be crushing on currently....ahem.....Grinning, she replied, "You did. You even helped me chase down my homework that had somehow flown through the courtyard." She said with a laugh at the memory of it all. it was rather adorable.

"That you do." She said with a chuckle, despite it taking most of the conversation for him to figure out who she was. "Yep! Tristan was always really kind to me...despite how often he was in detention, he is a really great guy." She paused, "Not my type...too blonde...but really nice." She said with a grin.

"Ah, well. I never made it known that my family was like this. They always have been. Never even sent me birthday or Christmas presents while I was at Hogwarts. But it's alright." Isley paused, "Otherwise, I am doing wonderfully. I went to Muggle Culinary School. I was a Chef for a long time, and now...I own Florean's." She smiled. She was so happy with every aspect of her life, outside of her family. "How are you doing?"

WhittyBitty 08-29-2017 04:43 AM

Summer was ending and that meant there wouldn't be an influx of Hogwarts students coming to Florean's anymore. That made Esme rather sad because she enjoyed meeting the customers. It didn't hurt that some of them were her friends from Hogwarts. It was weird to think that she would never be returning there, but she was just so happy with how things were right now that it didn't make her all that sad. The worst part was that she was going to miss her friends who still went there.

At least business would continue to run smoothly.

Isley was busy taking orders, but the tables outside needed to be cleaned. Smiling, she set about doing that, glad that it wasn't too bust there now. Business was always nice, but sometimes it was better when everything was calm. As she worked, Esme hummed a song to herself.

Both of them try something new? That sounded like fun! "Great! So which one are you going to try?" Xavvie tilted her head to look at the list of flavors, "I think I'm going to try two different ones. One scoop of lemondrop and one scoop of strawberry jam!" That sounded very nice, right? Xavvie glanced over her shoulder, though she couldn't quite see where they had left her dad behind anymore, "I think I'll just get him vanilla."

She knew he wasn't going to be very interested in the ice cream anyway.
