Floos & Visitor's Entrance This is where the Ministry's employees and visitors floo, apparate, or arrive via the telephone booth into the Ministry. Please move along quickly so you don't get run over in the rush! |
Micah apparated onto the entrance. Today was his first day of work. Surprisingly, he was the only one there. He walked towards the lifts with a grin on his face. |
After spinning around quickly and appearing out of bright green flames, Evan stepped out of the fireplace and into the Hall of the Atrium. She brushed off her robes, fixed her bag on her shoulder, and then headed towards the golden gates of the Ministry. |
Padme came spinning out of the bright green flames and was ready for her first day at the Ministry. Taking a deep breath, she headed towards the lift in the Atrium to go to her level of work. |
Lance apparated in the entrance. Brushing his hair, he cleaning his glasses, he was ready to start his day. As he walks toward the lift, he stretch his arms a bit. He just had a not so good night and was hoping that the day wouldn't be too harsh. |
Aaron apparated into the entrance and took a nervous look around (today was his first day and he was very excited and sick at the same time.)After his inspection of the entrance way he made his way to the lifts. |
Mona appeared in the Atrium with a faint pop. She hated traveling by Floo; it was just so...messy. She'd Apparate straight to her office if she could to save the trip. She walked briskly over to the lifts. |
Green flames bellowed from the fireplace closest to the majestic fountain as tall and dark Jude Thomas stumbled out, coughing up floo powder as he went. He looked around as a few Ministry workers apparated and hopped out of the fireplaces around him, hurrying off to their destination without much notice to him. "Oi," he responded to the witch whom bumped into him from the back. "Sorry, entirely my fault." He withdrew from the mantel's entrance and looked himself up and down, soot covering his cloak. Jude extracted his ash wand and cleared his clothes off with a simple and lazy movement. "Now to find the registration offices," he told himself as he walked on and out of the entrance area. |
A Lion emerged from the fire everyone moved out of the way and he started walking. He then turned into a 30 year old man calles Dan "Good morning everyone" |
Green flames rose from the fireplace furthest from the Lifts and from it Emerged Dmitry Sychev. He stood in the fireplace for a few moments before making his way out into the steady flow of workers. He glanced down at a piece of parchment he had just pulled out from inside his robes " Level 6 " he muttered to himself. |
Shylo appeared, coughing and spluttering, out of the fire. Gosh, surely there were simpler means of travel? How she hated floo. Brushing a bit of soot from her nose, she hurried towards the lifts. It was early, yet the Ministry was already full of people. Naturally, she would be one of the first to arrive in her department. |
With a crack, Amelia appeared in the entrance way of a splendid hall, full of busy people hurrying to get to their offices. Amelia turned around looking for some sign of where to go and noticed the lift and began walking over to it, her heels sounding on the fine dark wooden floor. Wearing a black pencil skirt, red blouse and carrying a sleek black brief case, she knew she looked ready for business, what ever came her way. "This is certainly different to the Ministry in Italy," she thought to herself, looking around as she walked, flicking her long blonde ponytail over her shoulder as she moved her head. Feeling quite excited to be starting her new job and quite proud to be here, Amelia made her way to her office to start her first day at the Magical Law Enforcement Squad. |
With a loud whoosh and burst of colorful flames, Enrico Serio arrived at the British Ministry of Magic, eager to begin his new job. He casually stepped out of the stone fireplace and dusted his shoulders off before glancing down at his reliable old wristwatch. 'No, that can't be the time,' he thought, blinking. 'Day one and I'm already late?' With a slight groan, Rico picked up his tattered brown briefcase that had skidded out of the fireplace behind him and set off a jog toward the lifts. |
ooc. Forgot to post here first before going to my department, sorry. Anita stepped out of the fireplace, dusting off her shirt. She wasn't really a fan of Floo Powder. "I just washed my hair this morning," she said to herself angrily. She looked at her watch and ran for the lifts. |
Corvus appeared in a flash of green flames, she quickley stepped out of the fire place and made her way into the crowd. She made her way over to a bench, and spotted a vendor handing out issues of the daily prophet, Corvus got up and walked over, picked one up and sat backdown. She opened it up and started to read. |
One of the fire places bursted into a bright green flame. As the flamed disappeared a young woman walked out of the brick structure. On the top of her head was brightly colored hair, nice smooth dread locks sat on her hair, of blue and purple. She jingled as she walked. The girl didn't look to most presentable to the world- not with her dress, torn in odd and end places, her corset seemed good and in place, other than a bit of dust. It didn't really matter all that much how she looked that moment- she thought. She was only popping in for a quick second, filling out an application, and then she would be on her way. |
Hannah apparated into the Atrium with the faintest "pop". She had slept with at her parents' place last night, and they weren't very fond of the floo, they thought it was much more "fascinating" to disappear into thin air. "Oh how I love my muggle parents!" She thought as she hurried to get to the lifts. It was her first day, how excited she was! |
Professor Doyle Branxton, Department of Mysteries, stepped out of the floos and immediately withdrew his wand from his pocket as he moved to the side to allow the next witch of wizard to exit the floos. He quickly rid himself of the unsightly ash with a flick of his wand before attaching his Ministry employee badge. He didn't like traveling by floo but, broom was even worse, and apparition directly from the school was impossible. He headed toward the lifts in his perfectly postured stride. |
Emma stepped out of the bright green flames and rapidly took a few steps out of way. She knew people came and went quickly through the Floo and didn't want to be trampled by the next traveler. Turning her head, this way and that, she finally saw what she came for. She walked quickly toward the security desk to have wand checked in. |
Leaving from her cottage Jocelyn arrived to the Ministry by floo. As the bright green flames ripened down to her feet and her head began to loss the spinning feeling that was once over controlling. Smiling brightly she stepped out of the fireplace and waved her wand whispering a spell to remove the tarnish from her clothing that was received from the travel. It was only her second day at her new job, yet today she entered the Ministry with none of the feelings she had just a day earlier. Thinking of that fact, I have James to thank- she thought. Thoughts continued to run through her mind as Jocelyn walked through the Atrium to the lifts. |
James hadn't been in a secure enough enviroment to apparate so much to his own dislike he had to floo in. Grumbling he ducked out of the fireplace used a quick charm to clean the ash from his clothes. As he headed for the lifts. |
Aidon felt the normal sickening sensation as he spun into the Ministry. As the emerald flames died, he brushed soot off his shoulders and bowed to get out of the fireplace. He brushed off the remaining soot and headed for the lifts. |
Doyle arrived at the Ministry from Hogwarts with the Slytherin prefect clutching onto his arm like a life line. "You can let go now," Doyle said. |
Quote:
Her jaw dropped. She was in the Ministry of Magic... Fightened as she was, she was in awe of the place. She took in the architecture, the vast beauty of it. But she realized she was on a mission. "So... where do we go from here Prof- Official Branxton?" |
"The lifts are this way. We are going to get off on the third floor and hopefully someone there can figure out what has been done to us," Doyle replied as he strode toward the lifts. ooc: and this scene moves once again... the lifts this time. |
Liam used the floo powere to get into work today he had lot's off paperwork in his hand what he had taken home to finish off. |
Headmistress Rae appeared through the Floo and looked around the Atrium. She needed to figure out where Doyle was, but she didn't have any idea where he could be in this vast building. If he was ill, he would have gone to Mungo's. Perhaps she'd start in the Department of Mysteries. |
Quote:
"We... we won't be traveling by... broom... will we?" she asked. |
"No, dear.. we'll take the Floo," she led the girl over toward the Floos. "As for your task... I'm a woman and a wife and entitled to being crazy. Illogical though it may be, my feelings are hurt that we're so easy to forget." |
Quote:
|
"I already forgive you both," Rae said a bit loftily. "But I still want some sweet talking." |
"Got it... Jewelry..." she said looking at the fireplace. She could do this... She could meet him in his office... no wand, of course... and she would go over... catalogs... to help him. She wasn't going to set foot out of the school again! The ministry was scary... |
Rae put her arm around Cassandra and stepped into the Floo. "Headmistress's Office, Hogwarts!" |
Since it's been 13 years since he was at the Ministry, Edward decides to use the visitor's entrance. He walks down the street and enters the telephone booth. Edward puts in the coin and dials the number. He then finds himself in the atrium of the Ministry. |
Doyle came down the lifts and hurried to the apparition point. He needed to be home with his girls. He felt positively awful after the memory charms and then dealing with Coop. He thought he remembered something about needing to take it easy but, he was still having trouble trying to keep the events of the day in order and making sense. It didn't matter. He could apparate in his sleep and practically did so.... |
Zoey apparate in front of one of the fireplaces. She was so excited, it was her first day at work. She looked around and show bunches of people hurrying around. She grabbed a daily prophet from the boy who was selling them and hurried off to the lifts. |
Elizabeth Nightshade appeared in one of the fireplaces having just taken the Floo Network and after getting to her feet brushed down her robes. It was her first day in the Department of Magical Law Enforcement and wanted to do well as an Auror. It was also her first time inside the Ministry and what first struck her was the sheer grandeur of the hall, as well as the amount of people moving hurriedly past her. |
Moiser used the floo powder net work to get home. |
The three Muggle siblings walked into the Ministry from the entrance where the telephone booth led, looking quite puzzled and intrigued. As the employees bustled around them hurriedly, heading for work, they noticed they really didn't fit in--they were all adorned with jeans and t-shirts, though the toddler, Annabelle, was wearing a flouncy skirt. Emmett, the second oldest of the trio, looked down at his little sister, appalled. "She's opened a portal to another dimension, Josefine. By pressing those buttons in that telephone booth." he said seriously, looking back up at his other sister. Josefine rolled her eyes. "Don't be stupid. Obviously this is some nerd convention we didn't know about. No-one ever dresses like this outside of nerd conventions." she smirked. "We need to ask someone where the exit is." "Nerd convention? This is no nerd convention. And you say that as if it were a bad thing! How would Annabelle have known the exact number to call, anyhow?" he replied loudly. Honestly! While her brother and sister bickered, Annabelle took no notice. She was eyeing the cloaks these people all were wearing with envy. She turned to her sister, craning her head up to look at her. "Josefine! Josefine, I wanna cape like dem." she whined, tugging on Josefine's pant leg. They all continued to wander around the visitor's entrance, not taking a notice of Annabelle's whining and clumsily bumping into other people who were rushing about. |
Tom appeared in one of the large fireplaces leaving a green flame behind him. Brushing a little soot of his brown robes he hurried off to his new job his cardboard box in hand. |
Delilah Carter rushed past a group of children, in quite a hurry to get to Level Six. She'd received a slightly urgent memo a few hours ago about a roach egg infestation. Now, she was headed off to speak to Micah Nettings, the Department of Transportation employee who had discovered and rid his level of roaches. The Maintenance and Security Department Head was so preoccupied with other thoughts that she didn't realize that the children she'd passed by looked lost and... well, like muggles. |
Quote:
The three siblings strolled around the Visitor's entrance, utterly stunned and confused. Wandering towards the Atrium, the two elder children continued to bicker about where they were located, whereas Annabelle contined to make a grab at passerbys' robes annd such. They left the Visitor's entrance with a clatter as they proceeded to almost stumble into one of those 'strange, marble fireplaces with the green flames'. |
A flash of green light in the flames of the fireplace and Cassandra stepped out into the ministry floo network. She dusted herself off and she moved out of the way of the busy people... She took a look at the ministry issued pamphlet and scanned it quickly. "Check in... blah blah blah... Magical Security Desk... blah blah blah... Level Six..." She looked around for the Magical Security Desk and, spotting it, she went to it... "If I was with Branxton I wouldn't have to check in..." she said to herself... |
Rhiannon walked out of the Visitor's Entrance, into the Atrium of the Ministry. Looking around, she takes a few minutes examining her surroundings before heading off to do everything she wanted to get done. Hopefully it wouldn't take too long, because she had left her trunk and Taliesin at the Leaky Cauldron, to wait for her return. Finally ceasing to study her surroundings, she heads toward the security desk to get her wand checked. |
Catlin came spinning into the atrium thought one of the fireplaces it was her first day at work in the Relocation of House elfs office and she was already late, she straightened herself up and ran in the direction od the lifts |
Within seconds of arriving, I throw down the powder while shouting. "Magical Menagerie." Hoping that I'd get there in time. a couple hours later I once again arrive and head over to the lifts. Jude, you're gonna get a talking... |
Oya entered the ministry! She looked around! 'Lots of busy people around here' she thought.' She was here to apply for a job! She had just finished school and it was time for the real world! |
James adjusted his robes as the telephone booth lowered itself into the mass of wizards, witches, goblins, and other creatures bustling around in the entrance to the Atrium. It was this sight that always sent goosebumps up his arms. Rubbing them away, he stepped out of the booth. How that thing doesn't crush someone, I'll never know., he thought. He filled through the mass to the inner Atrium. |
Lillian shook her hair out of her face as she collected herself after apparating for her first day working at the ministry. It wasn't her favourite way to travel, but it was better at least than floo powder. She rushed quickly towards the Atrium and the lifts. |
Olivia came spinning into view in a puff of green smoke. Coughing and brushing herself down, she stepped out of the fireplace.I'll never get used to that, she thought. This was her first day in her new job..Maintenance worker in the Department of Magical Maintenance....and she was very nervous. "Where do I go first?" She mumbled under her breath, before quickly moving out the way of the fireplace in case someone else came through. "I guess I should go and visit my department head..." |
Annamaria's feet thumped onto the floor of the floo, and she sneezed as some of the dust flew up in her face. Sneezing again, she stepped out of the floo entrance, shaking her red hair out a bit and dusting herself off a bit. She then made her way over to the lifts, her dark green robes trailing just slightly behind her as she walked. |
Jessica enters the booth and tries to vanish the rust on the windows, but it doesn't move. After many feeble moves, she gives up and moves to the floor. At least that wasn't as hard as the windows. She goes of to the supply closet to get something a bit stronger to get rid of the rust. 15 minutes laterJessica walks back in and tries to vanish it again, and it worked. Oh, great, why didn't I think of this before, she thought |
Egypt quickly got off the lifts from level 10. This was a complete disaster and embarrassment to the British Ministry. She strode over to the visitors telephone box and disconnected it and locked the door. She then went over to the fireplaces and pressed a button that closed all the flutes. Everything was locked up on her end. She needed to get up to transportation. Egypt went back and opened up the fireplaces to the Ministry workers. They needed to get back and forth to work after all. |
Herminny is such a clutz, she to the manges to use floo network to the ministry but she uses too muc floo powder which blows up in her face tat covers her from ead to toe as se takes off for the ministry, when se arrives she wises se could dissapear, ow embarassing for her first working in the Miss-USe of Muggle Artifacts Department covered in soot. |
As the green flames die down, Cordelia steps from the fireplace. She walks confidently towards the lifts waiting to take her to the correct level. Today is her first day on the job and she is ready to embark on what she hopes is an exciting career as an Unspeakable. |
Shawn stepped out of the fireplace. He was dressed in his best set of robes and was busy tugging at his tie. Why he had to make an appearance in the Ministry's International Cooperation office was beyond him, but he'd received a summoning and here he was. Shawn stepped into the rush of the crowd and soon found himself swept along with them. He managed to find the visitors station and tried to make his way over to it. |
With his robes as dark as night looking perfectly smooth and clean --though that certainly did not stop him from fluttering both of his hands around his robes, trying to get rid off of dust that was not really there, or the unexistent wrinkles-- Jean Claude Moreau stepped out of the fireplace, as he wrinkled his nose, and combed his hair distractedly with one olive-tone hand. Using the Floo network was not his favourite way to travel --quite the opposite, actually. And, of course the thought that he might miss the birthday party of his lovely Isabelle, did not do wonders to his mood. Now, where were the British authorities? Nowhere in sight, it seemed. Frowning a little, Moreau took a deep breath and started to calm himself down before the Britons finally decided to arrive and meet up with him. He wanted no more than to get this thing over with quickly, and it seemed that this would not be the case. Unfortunately. |
Reagan had been standing across from the Floo Fireplaces, leaning against the wall while she waited for the French officials to arrive. Spotting an unfamiliar face, who Reagan had an inkling was one of the men she was looking for, she strode across the atrium and greeted him with a meaningful look, "Hello, sir. Would you be the French official come to visit the Law Enforcement Department?" She didn't want to go blabbing about the true purpose of their visit, just in case this man was not one of those she was looking for. |
Syd, hands in his pockets, strolled out toward the visitor's entrance. He looked around for his people and saw that they weren't here yet, but Reagan and some guy in dark robes were standing by the fireplaces. Whistling a peppy little tune, he strolled over to them and walked up to stand next to Reagan. Perhaps Forrester was still trying to wrangle the Aurors Syd needed. "So this the French guy we're waitin' for?" Syd asked, looking the man up and down. |
Careful to dust down any dust from his ebony robes, Alexandre Banlui took hesitant steps out of the fireplace, having just used the Floo system. Never his preferred way to travel, he struggled to mask the disgust as his hands swept over the dark material with practiced ease. His gaze scanned the room warily; his first visit to the British Ministry was not under pleasant circumstances in any case, and his only wish was that this would be quick, easy. An in-and-out job, nothing more. All hopes were diminished when he noted the "welcoming party" for his fellow Auror and himself. Coming to a stop just a few steps from the two Britons, he greeted all three with a curt nod. In-and-out. That was all Banlui wanted. |
Impatience soon started to take over Moreau, and more than once the thirty-five year old man checked his watch, as he wondered why in Merlin's name the Britons were taking so long. In truth, he had only been there for only three minutes, but clearly, patience was not one Jean Claude's attributes. Ah, finally! Taking a few steps towards the two people that had arrived, and were very obviously addressing to him, Jean Claude gave the two of them a curt, but polite nod. "Yes, that would be me, ma'am," answered Jean Claude courteously to both them, his accent bareably noticeable. "Alexandre," murmured the man politely upon the arrival of his partner Deciding that it would be best to simply ignore the stare the man was giving him, Jean Cluade spoke again, only looking at the woman this time, for in his opinion, she seemed to be in the one in charge--or that's what he thought anyway, "Where can we, er--discuss the reason why we are both needed here, madame?" he asked, looking around the place packed with Ministry employees, a meaningful look painted on his olive-toned face. |
Jessica walked into the Floo and Visitor's entrance and started cleaning the place up a bit.She started with the brooming and dusting first and then went onto the scrubbing after. Two hours later, finally pleased with her job, she goes back out again. |

From the looks of it both Auors had just gotten there and did not seem to please. "Hello," she greeted to the two of them with a smile and noticed one seem to have his nose stuck up in the air already. She was not fond of judgmental people. She heard the other French Auror ask where they were going to discuss this and she thought it was her office so she piped up. "I believe we were going to meet on my Level." she responded. |

Reagan heard Evaline arriving abruptly beside her and introduced her as well, "This here is Ms. Evaline Bass, Head of International Magical Cooperation. And she is correct in saying that we will be using the Conference Room in her Department to discuss this matter. Won't you let us escort you to the lifts?" |
Evaline extended her hand to the two Auror's, for them to shake, just as Reagan had done. "Nice to meet you," she gestured back as well after Reagan finished introducing her. She then decided to inform Reagan about her conference and so she spoke up. "Yes. We were going to, but I was hoping we could move this little to Level 2 if thats alright. There is a meeting going on right now, and I doubt these kind gentlemen want to wait for it to be free." she offered. |
"Pleasure to meet you all," murmured the man politely, before shaking hands briefly with Taylor and Bass, thinking that he had been right when assuming Reagan Taylor was the one in charge; she certainly outrank the rest of the Ministry employees standing around him. "Jean Claude Moreau, at your service," said the French, introducing himself for it was the polite thing to do. "And this is Alexandre Banlui," continued Jean Claude in the same breath, seeing how quiet his fellow Auror was. The sooner the introductions were over, the sooner this entire thing would end and he would be able to go home to Isabelle. Upon hearing Bass and Taylor's explanation to where the meeting would be held, Jean Claude nodded, looking a bit thoughtful. Naturally, it would be best to do it somewhere that was a little more private. "Of course. Lead the way, madame." Or not. As soon as Jean Claude got ready to follow Taylor, Evaline claimed that there was some kind of meeting in her domains. And she was right--he did not want to wait. But of course, Moreau was not about to point that out. "Whatever works for you, works for me," he commented courteously. Really, he just wanted the entire thing to end; he wanted to go home. |
While contemplating a new place to meet, Reagan joked, "Well, I can't be too disappointed when I hear that a room is being used to get some work done, now can I? We'll just move ourselves to Level Two. Perhaps since we anticipate this will likely be a brief encounter, we could simply move to the Detention Center," and here she lowered her voice so only the small group surrounding her could hear, "where the culprit whom you've come to extradite is being held. Does that work for everyone?" She assumed these men would likely want to ask many questions about the events that led to the apprehension of the woman in custody, and she anticipated that the Detention Center might be the best and most secure place for such questions. |
Ah - it seemed the newest addition to the group meant they would be moving things along. Banlui forced a smile at the newcomer in response to her greeting as the introductions were held. A man of few words, spoken only when absoloutely necessary, he allowed Moreau to take the liberty of introducing him as he shook the hands of the Ministry Officials. He kept his gaze firm and steady as he examined the British who stood in front of him. They seemed a responsible lot, in Banlui's opinion . . . so he wasn't clear on exactly how they'd let the nature of the visit come about. Keeping his unsettling conclusions to himself, he tuned in again as Taylor spoke about which room. His expression darkened somewhat at the mention of the culprit. 'It sounds like a reasonable plan,' he said, breaking his silence. 'Whatever is easiest for you will work, so long as we can take it.' He spat the word out dispassionately, not thinking that the culprit was worth any respectable title or name. His short-temper was, once again, getting the better of him and he reigned it in before it got out-of-hand. With a glance at Moreau, he lapsed back into his silence once more. It would be easiest, he reasoned, to just get this over and done with with as little fuss as was possible. And letting his temper about what this thing had done would not help matters one bit. All Banlui could do now was pray that this would be quick from hereon in. |
"The detention center sounds just fine. I'll take ya'll up and get this mess sorted out. Hopefully we can all be on good terms, huh?" he said, smiling in that pleasant yet awkward manner. His American Southern accent was far more noticeable than the French dudes' accents. Hopefully the Aurors had dealt with that horrible woman without too much trouble. They were capable, but no one had really dealt with an murder in the building so he didn't know how shaken up they really were on the inside. "I've got plenty of tea there too if ya'll would like a cup." |
Evaline nodded and released her grasp after the Auror who seem to be the more outspoken one introduce both of them. He seemed to think Reagan was the leading person, so when he spoke it was more directed at Reagan than Syd and her. She was ok with this, she didn't want to let split that she really was not happy with any of the French after all that's been going through. Reagan finally answered about the room, and at least she wasn't to disappointed. "I didn't think you would mind," Evaline responded and then added in agreement, "That sounds perfectly fine with me. Detention Center it is." |
If Jean Claude was honest with himself, he had to admit that these Britons looked fairly responsible and committed to their jobs. Now, how had they let this. . . situation happen right under their very noses? It truly was hard to come up with an answer for that. Not to mention that there more important matters that needed to be discussed, so he simply let it drop and focus on the discussion developing before him. "As I said before, what works for you, works for me," mused Moreau with a nod of his head, as he ignored Banlui's slip of referring the culprit as 'it', for he agreed with his fellow auror, but wasn't quite sure if the Britons did, as well. "Of course, Mr. Wordsmith," murmured Jean Claude, agreeing to both of the comments the man had made. Thinking that they had spent enough time discussing the location of their meeting, Jean Claude forced the muscles of his face to allow a smile to creep on his lips, before opening his mouth to speak yet again, "Detention Center it is, then? Care to lead the way?" Though he still sounded perfectly courteous with the smile still in place, the French allowed impatience to leak on his tone. |
"Right. This way then," he said as he tried not to focus on the French guy's weirdo smile. He motioned with his hand and walked toward the lifts, whistling. These French guys needed to lighten up a bit. Sure it was a murder, but hadn't they dealt with hundreds of these by now? (OOC: One of the Aurors has posted in the Detention Center so go ahead and post there.) |
The green flames bellowed around in the fireplace and a slightly dizzy Tristan stepped out from the fireplace. He took a deep breath to steady himself and began to dust off the mess left on his midnight blue robes. This better not ruin my new clothes... he thought darkly. He had not flooed anywhere for a long time, and since he had a fireplace in his room, he thought it would be interesting to remind himself. He took out a bottle from his big, faithfull sidebag, and drank a bit of water and headed for the lifts. Next time, he would apparate into work instead. |
Helding the Jar tightly, Moreau reached the Floos and Visitor's area. Taking out his wand, he tapped it lightly to one side of the crystal jar, and watched it as it became ten times smaller. That way it would fit perfectly inside his pocket. Nodding to himself, and pocketing the jar with the culprit inside, Moreau stepped inside the fire place, took some of the powder, said the words, "French Ministry of Magic" loud and clearly before letting the powder drop, and then he was gone. |
Just minutes now ... Banlui could feel the relief surging through his veins that he was almost free of the English Ministry as he reached the fireplaces, trying his best to mask his disgust once more. Noting how Jean Claude had already left - his presence was somewhat absent - he merely cast one glance around the atrium. Joy of joys. Seizing himself a handful of Floo powder, he entered the fireplace. 'French Ministry of Magic,' he said clearly before letting the powder drop from his hands. With the oh-so-familiar flames, he was gone. |
Arcius flew from the fireplace and landed about a foot away from it. Why whenever he used the Floo Network was his landing never right? He lifted himself up, muttering under his breath about how someone should really get that fixed because it wasn't his fault, and brushing dust from his jet black robes. He ran a hand through his hair, ensuring it was still in place. It was his first day in the Ministry and he thought it best to make a good impression, or at least that's what his father said. He strode towards the Atrium, the small heels on his boots clicking at he walked. |
Julia tossed her hair and stepped out from the fireplace. Her robes were covered with dust and she was brushing them away furiously. She hated travelling by Floo Network. But today she had no other choice. Happy at the look that her robes were clean again she walked ahead cheerfully for her first day at work. She was all excited about what her work could be. She saw a familiar wizard walking ahead of her. She called out to him, "Good Morning Arcius!" |
Ater had been taking his breakfast, when a brown owl arrived. It was the MoM owl, telling him that he had got the job, grinning to himself he waved his wand cleaning the table, and placing his cloak on his shoulders threw some floo powder on the hearth and called for the Ministry. With a flow of green flames he stepped from the MoM’s fireplace and gracefully took a step to his right so new comers could pass. The Entrance of the Ministry was simply decorated but very bright and spacious. Cleaning his robes with a swish of is wand he began to walk in towards the Security Desk. |
Green flames shot up from one of the MoM fireplaces. A petite white-blonde haired witch appeared, laden with children. A toddler with hair to match her own slept in her arms while an older, taller, dark-haired boy peered out from behind her robes, looking terrified. This was not at all the way she had invisioned her first day at the MoM, she thought as she removed the dust and soot from her robes with a charm, doing the same for the children. She quickly stepped aside to make way for others coming in and grabbed the hand of the older boy. " Come, Caledon." |
The bright green flames died down & Edilson walked out of MoM's Floo Network Fireplace, brushing off dust from his black expensive robe. He had been to the Ministry as a visitor before but arriving as an employee was a whole different experience. Clearing his throat, Edi slipped his hands in his pockets & walked over to the lifts, grinning broadly the whole time. He ran his hand through his perfectly styled brown hair & waited for the lifts to open. |
Luriken walked out of the fireplace before most of the flames had died down. Each step was deliberately heavy so dust shook itself from his cloak, Luriken shook his head slightly and put his hand into his pockets. He hadn't been to work in a while and was more or less eager to see what was going on and if they had removed his desk. |
Connor Renaudo was delighted, but at the same time very nervous. This is because it was his first day at the Ministry, in the Department of Mysteries. Renaudo stood in his fireplace, and using Floo Powder, he was soon brushing soot off his new robes. He looked around, and realised he was standing in the Atrium. The first person he saw was a man with his hands in his pockets, and walking up to him.. "Excuse me, but could tell me which floor the Department of Mysteries is on?" |
Green flames bellowed from the fireplace closest to the majestic fountain as the tall and dark Antwone Thomas stumbled out, coughing up floo powder as he went. He looked around as a few Ministry workers apparated and hopped out of the fireplaces around him, hurrying off to their destination without much notice to him. "Oi," he responded to the witch whom bumped into him from the back. "Watch your step will you?" Antwone didn't know why he was really here. His place wasn't among normal people but he couldn't go back to where he was before. He step out from the mantel's entrance and looked himself up and down, soot covering his cloak. Antwone extracted his beech wand and cleared his clothes off with a simple and lazy movement. He looked around with a small scowl, the three scars on his face curled. He titled his head toward the lifts and paced his steps in its direction. Quote:

Well, Connor was hoping for something a little nicer, but it didn't bother him too much. And he made his way to level 9. |
The fireplace roared with green flamesand then died down and out stumbled Jenkins. He siphoned the dirt off his clothing with his wand. Traveling by floo was always so dirty, he couldn't say he liked it much. Almost as weird a sensation as apparation. He siphoned off the last of the dirt and tried to tidy his hair as he made his way to level five. |
With a slight pop Nymphadora appeared. She had apparated into the MoM and set off to the lifts.Level Three was her destination!! |
Green flames shone from the nearest floo as Chris walked out. Chris then wondered what lift he would have to take to get to his level as it was only his second day on the job. He finally found what he wanted and headed for the lifts that would take him to level eight. |
please all visitors check in with the security desk before entering to get ur wand weighed and your vistors bagde thank you |
Headmaster Bontecou arrived at the Ministry via floo and hurried straight to the elevators. He a had a bone to pick with Mr. Stryker. |
Alyssa arrived at the floos with wand at the ready. She was are to get them all cleaned up. She did noticed that alot of people arriving by floo came out rather dusty. And several of them were angry about she. Alyssa heard several people grumble before they headed toward the lifts. She laughed to her self a little and headed to the nearest one. "Scourgify!" Alyssa said and the nearest lift was ashes free. The house hold..or rather work-hold cleaning spells were something she was VERY good at. She repeated the spell what felt like 100 more times untill all the floos were spotless. "My job here is complete" She said to no one imparticular and started headed back toward her department. |
Pandora could hear Ronan calling her name but she didn't stop walking until she reached the Floos & Visitor's Entrance. It a quiet voice she told him, "I don't want a fuss here and since I can't floo to your flat I've got to go and catch the Knight Bus. Are you coming with me?" She half hoped that he would come with her. She was sure that she would only feel worse at the end of her journey. The other half of her hoped that he would go home and sort things out; sort out her potion, make her a cup of ginger and lemon tea, turn down the bed and make sure there was a bucket next to it. She looked at him expectantly. |
"Yes, of course." Ronan replied breathlessly as he caught up to the young woman. He had half a mind to wrap an arm around her waist again, but did not wish to upset Pandora more than he already had that afternoon. "After you then darling." he added in little more than a whisper leading out his arm for Pandora to lead the way to the outside street where the Knight Bus could be hailed to take them back to Nevern. |
Pandora stepped into the phone box which served as a visitors entrance. When Ronan seemed to be about to follow her, she was disappointed but there was no pleasing her at that moment. She turned her back on him as the door closed. |
There was an uncomfortable tension between the pair as the lift began to raise from the ground. Ronan wanted to put his arms around Pandora, but with her sudden icy exterior, he believed that to be a poor choice to make. |
