Oh, so it's your first day too. That makes things easier. Ethan thought. "I'm Ethan Lennox, erm, Ministry Maintenance!" he said with an almost false confidence. At least he had a title now, however janitorial it was.

Seems suspicious, this one. He looks nervous and he isn't. Probably each one should keep a little privacy, I daresay.

"I see, you'll get used to it soon, though," Dianna said. "Nope, nothing to be done. Why don't you go around a check the other departments if they need anything."

"Ok, I'll do that then. Thank you for your time!" he said, walking back towards the lifts. That was close. he thought. I almost seriously embarrassed myself... Ethan got in one of the lifts and decided to take it whichever way it went. He gave a parting wave to the woman before the lift jolted into motion.

She saw the man wave back at her and she waved back too. Nothing personal but it's better than leaving without saying goodbye.

Dianna went in the office to begin her work again.

ELizabeth walked off the lift into the waiting area. SHe was on a mission for her department head. She waited into the room, not wanting to intrude.

Dianna noticed another woman in the Waiting Area. OH goody, more people! Dianna approached the woman. "Hello. Welcome to the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes." Dianna smiedl sweetly. "Did you need any help?"

"Are you alright?" Dianna asked. As she spoke the woman, Dianna looked at the woman's figure. And there was an odd bump on her stomach. "Are...are you pregnant? Congratulations!"

Dianna noticed something. Pregnant women shouldn't be doing these. "Uh, I could tell our Department Head, you know. It seems difficult to move in your state."

Elizabeth let out a small smile, "If you would tell your department head that would be great. Yeah i'm fine and yes i am pregnant." She smile a little bigger and rest her hand on her belly. "I was trying to hide the fact from my department head since i kinda of just started here even though Ms. Gina is a real sweetheart and all." She smiled.

"Just that there is a strike in front of the ministry to" Elizabeth tried to find the best word to describe it, "get a new minister and relieve Lord Borr as minister." Elizabeth hoped that sounded civil and not horrible. "I am going to tell her soon." She smiled, "I'm Elizabeth, it is a pleasure to meet you Dianna."

A strike in front of the Ministry?! Dianna could not believe it. She thought the Ministry was safe and sound, but not having strikes in front! "I'll tell my Department Head right away," Dianna told Elizabeth.

"Nice to meet you too, Elizabeth." Dianna smiled. "I'm sorry but I couldn't stay long here. I've got jobs to do as part of this Department. Good bye!"

Well even though he wasn't exactly in the thick of things as he used to be, Armen Recard still heard things--it also didn't hurt that he worked on level one with the Minister's Human Resource workers. The man had heard rumor and had thus asked the afore mentioned people to be sure that it was true, that Gabi had taken charge of the level temporarily while Contance Nightengale was away. He hadn't really had a chance to meet the woman but it was sort of a moot point now.

He stepped off of the lifts and made his way into the visitor's area. Before he would have just walked straight into the level's office areas and find his friend himself but he was no longer a department head and he could probably get in trouble for that. Looking around he saw a witch who was probably the secretary and spoke to her with a charming smile.

"Hello there, may you inform Miss Gabriella Schultz that she has a visitor, it's urgent." he said with a smirk. She obviously needed to hang out with him.

Gabi had just posted her very first assignments EVER on the task board and was going to meet up with her fellow Charms Developer so she could get started on her own job, but first she decided a coffee was in order. She couldn't get anything done without caffeine. Straightening her skirt, she started to head out to the lifts so she could head to the corner coffee shop, when she paused and heard a very familiar voice asking for her.

She smiled and walked into the nearby visitors area, quietly creeping up behind Armen as he stood facing the secretary. "Urgent, is it? What, has the Minister's office all run out of coffee?" she asked with a smirk. Because really, what was urgent for a Ministry Gopher? Probably something coffee related.

The secretary hadn't even gotten a chance to answer his request to see Gabi, their acting boss until the position was filled, before someone else had spoken up. This newcomer, however chose to patronize him about his job rather than what he was really here for.

Recard would have turned around and ripped the woman out but he recognized the voice and knew it was said in a teasing tone. "Well Miss Schultz I would have expected a temporary Department Head to be more polite to visitors of level 3. And the Minister's office is fully stocked on coffee AND donuts, thank you very much." He had picked some up yesterday.

Althea's arrival was without fanfare, but she hardly required one. Actually she was pleased to be getting back to work again -what with the summer break, she'd been off since the end of June, and it was now October. Sure she'd caught up on her reading, and kept herself... entertained in other ways, but Thea preferred to work.

...aaand she could already tell, just walking into the waiting area that there'd be a hell of a lot of that on the cards. She eyed the decor and furnishings with distaste. Unprofessional and impractical. What they needed was a proper reception area, and a waiting area that did not impede the comings and goings of the employees of the department itself.

Also. The music. It wasn't a bloody muggle doctors office. Or an elevator for that matter. That could go too. The new Department Head would be making just a few changes around these parts, that was for sure. She paused in the centre of the waiting area and frowned slightly, hands on hips. This would be dealt with by the end of the day.

Slightly bopping to the catchy muggle tune on the radio, Imogine proceeded into the room to catch the latest wizerding gossip magazine on the table. It was her break and she had been dealing with chaos all day, so she just wanted to sit and relax.

Instantly she realized that the lady who was also in here must be the new department head. Imogine had barely got a chance to meet the last one, but with this one she had a meeting. Imogine had willingly voulenteered herself for the new department position, without even knowing what it entailed!

She smiled, and then said "You must be the new department head, Im Imogine pleased to meet you".

Althea turned slightly after she was addressed and after an assessing look at the younger woman, she tipped her head to one side, her expression somewhat distant and cool. "Imogine? Nepman, is it?" She had managed to glance through some of the employee files over the last week or so, though Thea didn't remember what Imogine's job was.

She smiled though, belatedly. "Yes, I'm Althea Schirmer. Nice to meet you. I hope you don't mind me asking what your job is? I'm afraid I don't recall and I don't yet know all the records through as I'd like to."

Althea Schirmer, that was a hard name to pronounce. "Im the Junior Reversal Agent" Imogine replied, she diddn't expect Althea to have memorized everyone's name and records on the first day. She had only just starte!"We repair any damage done by youths using underaged magic" Imogine continued. Incase further clarification was needed.

"and Im ready to apply for my new position" she smiled. Imogine was not one do beat around the bush, she liked to get to the point.

Gabi had not only starred the arrival of the new Department Head in her personal planner, but also written it in bright purple ink, underlined it AND highlighted it with neon yellow marker to remind her to dress her absolute best on this day. She heard voices from the work area and naturally hurried from her desk to come introduce herself and get in her first impression right away...that way, in case something HORRIBLY went wrong, she'd have the rest of the day to fix it.

Smoothing out her black pencil skirt and her baby blue silk blouse, she ran a manicured hand through her newly dyed blonde hair just to make sure she looked sleek and professional before entering the work area. She did a quick one-up of the new Department Head and could immediately tell she would like this woman--she had great fashion sense and her hair was fantastic. A woman who knew how to take care of herself was very rarely an enemy to Gabi.

She grinned and headed over to the woman, holding out a hand for a shake. "Hello, you must be the new Department Head we've all been anxiously waiting on," she said with a small chuckle. Even though she had a joking tone of voice, that was hardly a joke to Gabi...she'd been going completely mental waiting for something to actually HAPPEN around here. "My name is Gabriela Schultz. Charms Developer," she said, introducing herself with another kind smile.
