How to make a request:
Any and all requests you have for the Sugar Quills Display and Chocolate Frog Corner go here. These include requests for the Honeydukes moderators to re-activate, or move, your fanfiction. Please include a link to your fanfiction when you do this. Also, please post here when you have completed your fanfiction so that we may give you all the praise and candy!
If you have any requests for the Bertie Bott’s Challenge Area, we ask that you make your requests here.

A DECREE OF THE BEANHello everyone and welcome to the revamped challenge area for all your drabble and ficlet needs! As you can see, this subforum (along with all of the fanfiction forum) has received a new look! So go ahead and get acquainted with that, but please make sure to wipe any drool off the floors and do not eat too much or else risk a belly ache.
There are still some major revisions in the works revolving around the very nature of mini challenges and the prompts to both the SS50 and SS100 - AND THIS IS WHERE ALL OF YOU COME IN!
That's right, we are looking to entirely rejuvenate the prompts and want YOUR input! Just how do you do that? By filling out this form, of course! These prompts will be used by our writers to generate a drabble or ficlet. Your list can all be along one theme, or the words can be randomly selected. Please submit no more than 10 per list, although multiple lists may be submitted Entries with be accepted throughout the month of September.

A DECREE OF THE BEAN Hello!
With everything that's currently going on, for a lot of us even "small" (or what we usually consider to be "small") tasks might seem like a lot of effort and consequently deter us from doing something we might otherwise really want to do. This is why we (the FanFiction mods) have decided to temporarily move ALL Inactive Drabble threads going back one year - so up until April 14, 2019 - back to the general challenge area.
This means that - should you feel like writing - you can now simply post in your old challenge thread without having to go through asking for your thread to be reactivated. We hope that this makes it a little more accessible and easier for everyone in case you're looking for a creative writing outlet.
I will also not be moving any of the current threads to inactive even if they've not been posted in for over three months. (If you do want your thread moved to the inactive drabbles forum for whatever reason, just contact me, no problem.)
To everyone else whose thread did not fall under this one-year-back group of threads but who is still currently considering picking up their inactive thread again, please post a link to your thread in the Decree of the Bean thread OR contact me elsewhere (PM, Twitter, WhatsApp, owl, carrier pigeon, etc.) - right now, we would like to make this as easy as possible for you.
This temporary measure will stay in place until May 30th, 2020 (for now).

Can't find a FanFiction you read before? Missing one of your own pieces of work? We in the Honeydukes forum are aware and mourn the loss of these pieces of artistic expression with you. These were not removed intentionally. In September of 2022, SS suffered from a Cyber Attack that unfortunately wiped a substantial amount of FanFiction works from Honeydukes. Because the nature of this section of site is sharing and enjoying original ideas coupled with inspiration from the works of J.K. Rowling, there is unfortunately no way for us to recreate what has been lost. For members personal use, it is possible to potentially grab screen captures from https://archive.org/. A list of the names of FanFiction's lost, compiled by our amazing admins, is also available in the spoiler tag below.
If you see one of your favorites from the list below, or one of your own pieces, please feel free to come and share some of your favorite tidbits of writing it or reading it in the candy bar. And re-submitting any works is always welcomed and encouraged.
Thank you all for your creativity and expressing it here with us in the Honeydukes forum.
