ya i have to say this is one of the points where i thought they may end it, right before malfoy manner.. it would have been an intense moment but i like how they ended it

I originally wanted it to end at this point too 'cos it was more of a cliffhanger than the real ending. I liked where they ended the film now 'cos the story did have a cliffhanger-y feel, yet at the same time was tied up enough. However, I would have preferred the full intensity of them having just been caught and not knowing what was going to happen to them as moviegoer.

I like their final decision. it ended in good result..
anyway, i become more happy if they show in the movie, the appointment of Severus Snape as Headmaster in Hogwarts and the reaction of other students & teachers while he walking & stand again infront of them after the killing of Albus Dumbledore.
Many viewers & non-HP books readers wasn't noticed it showed in the movie when Harry just overheard about it in the radio.

LOVED where they split it- have seen it 5 times already!!  All I can say is as a R/Hr shipper I was VERY HAPPY

yeah the way it's split works great - probably best of the obvious options (caught by the snatchers, taken to Malfoy Manor, Escape from Malfoy Manor).
although I think the death / burial of Dobby is a bit rushed and missed the opportunity to convey the full emotion of Dobby's loss to Harry (and the audience) - always good to end a movie with a good cry!!! lol!!!

I think I would've been disappointed had they ended the movie how they originally planned too. I think the action in Malfoy Manor would' ve been too much to put in Part 2 which is being described as non-stop action. Ending the movie with the trio safe from Malfoy Manor but sad over the loss of Dobby and Voldemort obtaining the elder wand really set a perfect mood for the next Part. The next movie can start slowly but with a great tension to it, building towards the final showdown.

I like where they ended it. The Great Bank Robbery will provide plenty of action so that DH 2 will start off with a bang. Plus, this way they will have all the more time to focus on the incredible action at Hogwarts.

I'm not sure what of been the best ending to have with Dobby's death. It's so hard to choose. It happens right in the middle of the book. I dunno, what Part it would be better in.
