Previously Clémence Poésy (Fleur Delacour) had told the press that she hadn't been contacted about being in Half-Blood Prince. In an interview with MTV, Clémence said she was not asked to return for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince to reprise her role as French beauty Fleur Delacour.

While Fleur plays a larger role in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Poésy confesses that she has not read the last three books.

Somebody already told me the end of ‘Order of the Phoenix,’ and I was like, ‘You’re ruining everything!’” Poésy laughed, since she plans to read the remaining books on her next vacation “back to back.” Still, she can’t resist asking for one one spoiler: “Has Harry done some bad things?”

While it remains to be seen whether we will ever see her make an appearance in the final Potter film, she will appear in a film called In Bruges with other Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire co-stars Brendan Gleeson, who plays Mad-Eye Moody, and Ralph Fiennes, who portrays Lord Voldemort. (In this one, Fiennes plays another killer who, funnily enough, is named Harry.

Not that Poésy isn’t above scaring the kids as well. “It would be nice of you not to write that,” she teased. “The kids think I have powers, so I can say, ‘Be careful, otherwise I can turn you into a frog! I’ve learned.’ So don’t tell anyone I don’t have witchcraft powers.”

While we won't see Clémence Poésy, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince hits theatres on November 21, 2008.

and that's really too bad coz I was hoping we'd get to see her with Bill in this one and of course, the whole 'Phlegm' thing!

That kinda sucks cause I was really looking forward to the 'Phlegm' thing...
But as long as she's in DH I don't care too much

(cause hey, if DH isn't gonna cut ANYTHING she HAS to be in Deathly Hallows.
So she technically has to be in Deathly Hallows if the people doing the movies are serious about cutting out nothing in Deathly Hallows

I'm actually worried about the wedding in DH. I have a feeling that is one thing they'd change, to be honest. They could easily make it at Harry's birthday party instead. But, I think the biggest thing they have to do in HBP is set Bill and Fleur up at least through dialogue. Remember, we haven't ever seen Bill or Charlie in the films before. I'm worried if they're going to leave it that way. As of now, I'm anticipating it to be one of the possible cuts in DH.

Too bad there's no Phlegm plotline.

*Bangs head angrily against computer table* Does Rowling get any say whatsoever as to what storylines are cut in these movies? So no Fleur means no Bill, no Greyback, the whole storyline of her getting on Ginny/Hermione/Molly's nerves was fairly crucial in that it added much needed bits of comedy to a very dark book overall. But then again, seeing as how this is a "romantic comedy", I guess we've already got enough of that. Someone please pass the Rolaids.

She's kinda important in HBP. Unless they cut out the entire Bill storyline at the end and the wedding in DH.

That sucks. I hope she's in DH. If not I think the moive wont be as good and I will be disapointed in it. So hopefully the rummors are true and they wont cut anything and she will come back for it.

That's not strictly speaking true - remember the Egypt photo in Prisoner of Azkaban?

Since this rumour first arose, along with the Bill one, I think it was evident that there isn't going to be a wedding in Deathly Hallows. Or at least, not theirs. Maybe they'll give Lupin and Tonks one instead. To be honest, I think I'd probably prefer that, and those characters have a stronger resonance with the film audience.

Well sure. But since not the whole movie audience read the books, I'm not sure they paid too much to the older brothers. I think it'll be too much of a hassle to cast them now...which, let's face it. Completely sucks.

That is such an interesting point, Em! I think you might be right. I think the film audience would care more about that at this point if B/F isn't in HBP...or at least it isn't set up at all. (But what about Shell Cottage?!)
